The US Midterms and the Muslim Brotherhood: What Are its Objectives?

Six days before the November 3 midterm elections, the Muslim Brotherhood has become an issue in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race. Republican nominee Mike Rogers, a former FBI special agent and congressman, has accused Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed of ties to the Brotherhood.
Trump has said of El-Sayed, “He’s a Muslim Brotherhood guy, 100%.” El-Sayed denies that he or his family has ties to the group. At an October 17 town hall in Caro, Michigan, a voter asked whether he would disavow the Brotherhood. He answered, “Sure, yeah, absolutely.” However, to date, there is no record of him following through with a formal denunciation.
The accusations concern El-Sayed’s past statements and his family’s alleged connections to the Brotherhood. In January 2011, as protesters in Cairo demanded President Hosni Mubarak’s removal, El-Sayed wrote a Huffington Post article urging the United States to support the uprising. Mubarak’s government had banned the Brotherhood as a political party. Responding to warnings that his fall could bring the group to power, El-Sayed argued that a Brotherhood-led government would resemble neither Iran nor Hamas’s rule in Gaza.
Mubarak resigned the following month. In June 2012, Mohamed Morsi, a longtime Brotherhood leader, won Egypt’s presidential election with just over 51 percent of the vote. With 90% of Votes Counted, Netanyahu Bloc has 53 Seats, Eisenkot, 48, Arab Parties Surge to 19

Further updates unlikely before Thursday as Central Election Committee turns attention to double envelope ballots and ordinary ballots requiring extra oversight
The Central Election Committee (CEC) said Wednesday afternoon that with 89.8 percent of ballots counted, the bloc led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was poised to win 53 seats in the 120-member Knesset, and the bloc led by Yashar party chair Gadi Eisenkot would win 48 seats, leaving both blocs far from a 61-seat majority.
The two predominantly Arab parties were poised to win a historic 19 seats between them, putting them in a potential kingmaker position, after Arab voters turned out in record numbers to vote in Tuesday’s election, hoping to oust Netanyahu and his far-right allies from the seat of power. Their previous high had been 15 seats.
The picture that was emerging by Wednesday evening was different from the one that had been painted in most mainstream polls in the weeks and months leading up to the election, which had almost all shown Eisenkot’s bloc taking the lead over Netanyahu’s with varying margins, though similarly without anyone having a clear path to a coalition.
It was also a reversal from Tuesday night’s exit polls published by major broadcasters the moment voting ended at 10 p.m., which showed Eisenkot’s bloc ahead of Netanyahu’s by two or three seats.
But as the count progressed overnight and into Wednesday afternoon, it appeared that the exit polls had missed the mark, as both Netanyahu’s party and bloc pulled ahead of Eisenkot’s. (Times of Israel) Read more |

Netanyahu Claims Israeli Election Was "Stolen by Arab Parties", Hands Alleged Evidence to Police

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ruling party claimed that Arab parties effectively tampered with the country’s elections.
Although final results will not be available for days, as of Wednesday, it appears neither Israeli political coalition will have a majority.
Israel’s Central Elections Committee said that with 90 percent of votes counted, the bloc led by Netanyahu’s Likud Party is projected to win 53 seats.
The coalition led by Yashar Party chair Gadi Eisenkot is on track to win 48 seats, according to The Times of Israel.
Coalitions must have 61 votes to form a majority in the 120-seat Knesset. Likud’s coalition had 68 seats before the election.
The Times of Israel noted that several parties in the Yashar Party coalition have said they will not work with Arab parties to form a coalition.
Netanyahu and Likud cried foul over the Arab parties’ showing in a post on X.
“The elections in the State of Israel were stolen by Arab parties that support terrorism and the elimination of the Jewish state through serious criminal offenses of bribery, threats, violence, forgeries, and the use of prohibited software to mobilize voters,” Netanyahu wrote. How to Pray Ahead of the Election
|
|
The ads will not stop. The polls will keep shifting. The campaigns will tell you the entire future of the country hinges on one more door knocked, one more text sent, one more check written. Some of that is true. Most of it is theater. The real work happens before any of it, when a believer shuts the door, gets low, and talks to the One who actually decides who sits in power.
God does not need our strategy sessions. He has never been impressed by the size of a war chest or the cleverness of a message. He does respond to the prayers of His people. Scripture is blunt about the order of things.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” That is not optional. It is the first thing.
Start there. Pray for the people who already hold office and the people who want it. Pray they would fear God more than they fear donors, party leaders, or the next news cycle. Ask that the ones who already know better would stop lying to themselves about what their policies do to the unborn, to children, to the border, and to the ordinary family trying to live without being managed by the state. Ask that the ones who do not know better would be given eyes to see. Wisdom is not evenly distributed. Some candidates are simply not equipped to handle power. Pray that truth would expose them before the ballots are counted, not after.
Then pray for the voters. Plenty of people walk into a booth with a head full of slogans and almost no information. They have been trained to treat elections like rooting for a team. Ask God to cut through the noise. Ask that men and women would care more about whether a candidate can tell the difference between a boy and a girl, between a citizen and an illegal alien, between the Constitution and the latest administrative decree. Discernment is a gift. It can be requested. James says if any man lacks wisdom he should ask God, who gives it without finding fault. (Discern Report) Read more

As they seek Your face concerning this election, help them to sort out the confusion that can come with so much information, and give them Your vision of how to pray and also how to vote. Father God, voting is to be an extension of who we are in You and what we stand for with You. We ask for Your wisdom and insight as we make our decisions. TEL AVIV, Israel - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's governing coalition remained well short of a parliamentary majority Thursday as newly counted ballots showed a dramatic surge in support for Arab parties, potentially giving the opposition enough votes to challenge his control of parliament.
With 93.8% of ballots counted as of 4 a.m. ET Thursday (10 a.m. local time in Israel), including votes from the double-envelope count, Netanyahu's right-wing and religious bloc was projected to win 53 seats in Israel's 120-member Knesset, compared with 48 for the opposition bloc led by former military chief Gadi Eisenkot. The two predominantly Arab parties were projected to secure a combined 19 seats, bringing the potential anti-Netanyahu parliamentary majority to 67.

The improbable move would mark a break in the party’s longtime alliance with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Channel 12 reported Thursday.
Under the proposed arrangement, UTJ would remain outside the coalition but help keep an Eisenkot-led government in power by abstaining from votes rather than voting against it or its legislation. "We reject the accusations made by certain Israeli politicians and their contacts in the media, who have launched yet another disinformation campaign aiming to drag Qatar into Israeli political disputes following this week's elections," Al Ansari added. "They accuse Qatar of buying off Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli political left and now, in this latest campaign, the Arab vote. The Minnesota Senate race has become one of the most watched contests because it is actually competitive. Republican Michele Tafoya is an extremely competent candidate and is performing better in this blue state than anyone thought was possible.
This could be the sleeper race of 2026 and the GOP has even started investing resources in the state.
How close is the race? So close that liberal media outlets are starting to notice.

With only a week left until the midterm elections determine which party controls the House and Senate, Minnesota has emerged as a surprising state where Republicans stand a chance to flip a Senate seat.
Republicans are trying to fight off a blue wave as Trump’s approval ratings continue to slide and voters express concerns tied to the economy, inflation, rising fuel costs and the Iran war. While some of the most competitive Senate races are in swing states like Michigan and Georgia, the Senate race in Minnesota has also become a battleground that could deliver a win for Republicans. Democratic Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan and retired broadcaster Michele Tafoya, a Republican, are vying for the seat.
Minnesota had been thought to be a safe spot for Democrats, having last elected a Republican to the Senate in 2002. The state has voted for a Democratic president in every election since 1976. But in this year’s election cycle, there are three key indicators that Republicans stand a chance of flipping the seat.
“The Republicans have their best shot in 20 years at winning the state,” Hamline University professor of political science and legal studies David Schultz told Newsweek, crediting the state’s issues with corruption and “Democratic Party fatigue” as reasons why Republicans might secure a win. He added that he would not be surprised if Tafoya won the election.

2. Josh Howerton Tells Fellow Pastors to ‘Stand Firm,’ Provide Moral ‘Clarity’ Ahead of Election - Blaze
In this Blaze Media article, Joseph MacKinnon reports that Josh Howerton tells fellow pastors to “stand firm” and provide moral “clarity” ahead of the election.
- The Lakepointe Church senior pastor and “Live Free” host is urging colleagues to push back against “intimidation” from secular activists and to speak openly about the “moral asymmetry” between the two major parties before the midterms.
- Howerton said millions of Christians in Texas may sit out the 2026 elections, which could be decided by a few hundred thousand votes, and told pastors to encourage voting in announcements over the next couple of weeks.
- He noted that congregants are “salt of the earth” people who want their pastors to do this, and he praised Arizona pastor Ashley Wooldridge for publicly urging Christians to vote despite the expected pushback against a church of more than 50,000.
- In an earlier interview with Allie Beth Stuckey, Howerton argued that “every law that has ever existed legislates a morality,” so separation of church and state does not mean separation of morality and state or of politics and religion.
- Ahead of 2024 the Freedom From Religion Foundation asked the IRS to investigate Lakepointe after one of his sermons, even though the group acknowledged he did not explicitly endorse a candidate.
- Howerton said progressives selectively report churches to the FFRF, which then threatens only one side with what he calls “toothless” lawsuits, and that “no church in U.S. history has ever had their tax-exempt status removed for a sermon, much less for a separate podcast.”
- He has repeatedly warned that “if the church won’t disciple people, the world will.” Read more

3. Democrats with Alleged Ties to CAIR Money and the Muslim Brotherhood – The Gateway Pundit
In the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism-financing prosecution in U.S. history, a federal jury convicted the foundation and five of its leaders of sending money to Hamas. Prosecutors named the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) as unindicted co-conspirators.
Evidence at the trial included a 1991 Muslim Brotherhood strategy document, the Explanatory Memorandum. An attached list of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends” names ISNA, NAIT and the Muslim Students Association (MSA). Lara Burns, the retired FBI special agent who led the investigation, testified before the Senate in August that CAIR’s founders came out of the Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, which was established to support Hamas.
In January 2026, the State and Treasury departments designated the Egyptian, Jordanian and Lebanese branches of the Brotherhood as terrorist entities. CAIR denies any ties to Hamas, terrorism or the Brotherhood. Read more

4. El-Sayed Backing PAC Releases Antisemitic Ad Echoing 1930’s Nazi Propaganda – Discern Report
In this LifeZette article, staff writers report that a Rebellion PAC ad supporting Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed shows a couple unable to afford groceries because their money is going to Israel, drawing charges that it echoes 1930s Nazi propaganda.
- The ad depicts shoppers who cannot buy items including eggs and blames the hardship on money flowing to Israel, while accusing Republican Mike Rogers of promising to serve Israel “unconditionally.”
- Cenk Uygur posted the spot on Oct. 24 with the line, “We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers.”
- Critics say the framing goes beyond criticism of the Netanyahu government by linking ordinary American grocery struggles to Israel in a “blood money” theme.
- The piece notes that the United States provides aid to 177 of 196 recognized countries and that El-Sayed and others single out the one Jewish state while remaining silent on aid to countries where Christians are being killed or terrorist groups operate.
- It argues the ad’s themes parallel propaganda distributed in Germany in the 1930s and that the routine defense of “just criticizing Israel” collapses when the message ties household deprivation directly to the Jewish state. Read more

In a widely expected decision, the Federal Open Market Committee voted 10–2 to keep the benchmark federal funds rate in the current target range of 3.75 percent to 4 percent on Oct. 28, “in support of the Federal Reserve’s dual mandate.”
Fed board member Lisa Cook and Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack were the lone dissenters, preferring to raise interest rates by a quarter point.
“Economic activity is expanding at a strong pace,” the central bank said in a post-meeting statement. “While uncertainty remains elevated owing, in part, to geopolitical developments, domestic spending has been resilient. Productivity growth is strong, and capital investment is robust. Job gains have kept pace with the workforce, and the unemployment rate has changed little.” Read more

Election Integrity Showdown Looms in California

California's Democratic leadership has spent years establishing an election system built around universal mail-in ballots, same-day registration, early voting and minimal identification requirements at the polls. Now that system faces a serious federal challenge. On October 15, the Justice Department sued California after federal investigators identified more than 20,000 registered voters they believe are likely noncitizens. Under California law, those registered voters automatically receive mail-in ballots. The Justice Department wants their citizenship verified before their votes are counted. California's Democratic Party machine is fighting it tooth and nail, raising questions as to the reason the party wants no accountability.
Democrats control California's governorship and both chambers of its Legislature. They have established an election system that creates opportunity for election fraud. Voters generally need no identification at the polls, although exceptions apply. Every active registered voter receives a ballot by mail. Conditional registration continues through Election Day, and ballots postmarked by Election Day can arrive up to seven days afterward. Little-known rule could stop socialists from being sworn into Congress
|

A little-known congressional maneuver could block members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) from being sworn in as members of the House of Representatives next year, even if they win their elections on Tuesday.
Members-elect must swear an oath to uphold the Constitution before they can become full members of the House. At the beginning of a new Congress, that oath is typically taken en masse by all 435 members, led by the House speaker.
But an argument circulating in conservative circles posits that any member-elect can challenge another member-elect's right to be sworn in, provided they have compiled evidence that that person would not uphold their oath. That would then lead to House-wide deliberations followed by a vote on whether that member-elect has a right to be sworn in.
In the case of DSA members, one potential argument could be the group's platform calling to scrap the current U.S. Constitution and draft a new one. Several DSA members and self-proclaimed democratic socialists have already won primaries across the country.
Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, suggested to Fox News Digital that he could invoke the maneuver. "You cannot swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution while actively working to destroy it. The oath of office is not just words you say at a ceremony. It is a belief. It is an oath to our country and our fellow countrymen," Self told Fox News Digital.
"The House has both the authority and the duty to ensure that anyone who takes that oath does so in good faith, without mental reservation or purpose of evasion. As DSA candidates and the Red-Green Alliance gain ground, we must enforce the Constitution as written or risk allowing people committed to replacing it to take seats of power under false pretenses." California’s record-breaking sea levels swamp Newport Beach streets
|

Southern California’s ocean just rewrote the record books. And in Newport Beach, the consequences are spilling across the streets.
On Tuesday, October 27, the NOAA tide gauge at San Pedro reached approximately 8.18 feet, surpassing a century-old monitoring station’s previous record of 7.93 feet from 2005. Farther south, the National Weather Service called La Jolla’s 7.98-foot reading “a preliminary all time record at this site.” Santa Barbara also registered record water levels.
These are measurements above a tidal reference point, not eight-foot-deep floods. Still, the impact on land has been extraordinary. See NOAA’s record-breaking confirmation here.
In a new video, Laguna Beach surfer Blair Conklin documents seawater gushing through walkways and storm drains around Newport Harbor, with passengers navigating a flooded approach to the Balboa Ferry.
“We’re looking at stuff that we’ve never seen in California for sure,” Conklin said.
Elsewhere on the Balboa Peninsula, water poured through waterfront properties, swamped the Fun Zone, and covered intersections despite sandbags and city pumps.

“We’ve certainly never seen tides up this high,” longtime resident Pam Bacich told ABC7.
