'Blown Away':

Hundreds Saved and Baptized as 8,000 Students Seek Jesus at University of Tennessee
More than 8,000 college students gathered together to seek God and worship Jesus on Tuesday night at the University of Tennessee for the UniteUS campus event, the ministry reports.  UniteUS is an evangelistic outreach geared toward GenZers that has been presenting the Gospel on multiple college campuses. Their latest stop was the Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The ministry reports that approximately 500 students responded to the salvation message, and many were baptized right outside of the arena. "We are blown away by what God did tonight at the University of Tennessee with over 8,000 students gathering to lift the name of Jesus and over 500 salvations," reads a video.

Young students at the Knoxville school are not the only ones praising Jesus openly on campus, but are also testifying about how His Spirit is moving among their friends.  "Hundreds, we witnessed hundreds get baptized tonight," one student shared in a video circulating on social media. "[We] witnessed thousands changed for the name of Jesus. There is a new thing coming to this generation, and UniteUS is a big part of it." (CBN) Read More Here and Watch Video!

- Abba, we REJOICE over 8,000 students hearing the gospel and 500 souls who committed lives to Christ at the University of Tennessee!  We celebrate each baptism and declare a growing hunger and thirst for God's Word upon the Gen Z generation! Pour blessings and favor upon UniteUS ministry, focused on spreading the gospel at college campuses. We lift all glory to our King of kings and the Lord of lords who pursues each one relentlessly. We give You ALL honor, glory and praise for answered prayer in turning hearts of younger generations towards Almighty God! By the Blood of Yeshua, we pray- Amen.

- "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a could of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us". (Hebrews 12:1)

Trump warns of 'massive bloodshed' if Hamas fails to agree to peace deal: 'MOVE FAST'

President Donald Trump made a social media post about Hamas on Sunday evening, minutes before the deadline for a peace proposal passed.

The deadline was 6 p.m. ET Sunday. In a message on Truth Social, Trump wrote that there had been "very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East."

"These talks have been very successful, and proceeding rapidly," Trump said. "The technical teams will again meet Monday, in Egypt, to work through and clarify the final details."

Speaking to reporters on Sunday evening, Trump affirmed that the meetings were positive after he wrote that the first phase of the peace plan "should be completed this week."

"We had some very good meetings…and it looks like it's working," he said. "So we'll wait for a little while, see how it all turns out."

However, Trump's post warned that violence could follow if a deal was not reached.

"I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST," Trump emphasized. "I will continue to monitor this Centuries old ‘conflict.’"

Trump added, "TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW — SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE!"

Trump previously announced the deadline in an Oct. 3 post on Truth Social, delivering an ominous warning to Hamas about accepting the deal.

"If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas," Trump wrote. "THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, we do ask that the leaders of the HAMAS terrorist network would honor these words and take appropriate action immediately! The time for talks is over; the time for action is at hand. Amen.

"There is a time for peace and a time for war." (Ecclesiastes 3:8)

Trump addresses world from Oval Office after Hamas agrees to release Israeli hostages in Gaza peace deal

Hamas on Friday announced it agreed to release all Israeli hostages, dead or alive, as part of President Donald Trump's Gaza peace proposal.

Leaders also indicated they were prepared to enter mediated negotiations to finalize the deal, according to a Hamas statement shared by Trump on Truth Social.

"Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that. We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East."

Trump later released a video from the White House Oval Office, saying he is still awaiting final word, but believes he is "very close" to achieving a peace deal.

"I want to thank the countries that helped me put this together—Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and so many others. So many people fought so hard," Trump said. "This is a big day. We'll see how it all turns out. We have to get the final word down in concrete. Very importantly, I look forward to having the hostages come home to their parents … I just want to let you know that this is a very special day, maybe unprecedented. … Everybody was unified in wanting this war to end and seeing peace in the Middle East, and we're very close to achieving that. Thank you all and everybody will be treated fairly." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, we see that this statement was released by President Trump on Friday evening. A lot of new and critical events have now come to pass since that time. We ask that, each step of the way, President Trump would be led by Your wisdom, and Your wisdom only, as he leads these remaining negotiations. We pray that all
will be done decently and in good order, as the nations now align to bring peace to this region. We ask this in Your Holy Name, amen and amen.

- "‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’" (Jeremiah 33:3)

Trump To Congress: U.S. In ‘Armed Conflict’ With ‘Terrorist’ Drug Cartels
President Donald Trump has “determined” that the United States is in an “armed conflict” with drug cartels that he has designated as terrorist organizations, according to a memo to Congress.
The memo reportedly sent this week said that the American military remained ready to eliminate drug smugglers and that the country was at a “critical point” requiring the use of force. It comes as the Trump administration has conducted multiple strikes on boats the president said were filled with narcoterrorists bound for the United States.
“The President determined these cartels are non-state armed groups, designated them as terrorist organizations, and determined that their actions constitute an armed attack against the United States,” the memo said, according to NBC News. “In response, based upon the cumulative effects of these hostile acts against the citizens and interests of the United States and friendly foreign nations, the President determined that the United States is in a non-international armed conflict with these designated terrorist organizations.”
Violent gangs like Tren de Aragua and MS-13 have all been designated as foreign terrorist organizations by the State Department. (Daily Wire) Read more here.
- Lord, as the Trump administration works hard to stop the flow of drugs into the US, we pray for the Power and Grace of Your Spirit to protect them. We also ask for wisdom for President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to make certain that only Your perfect will is accomplished in this task.

- “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

470 anti-Israel flotilla activists processed ahead of deportation after ‘negligible quantities of aid’ found on boats
Some 470 activists detained by the Israeli Navy on the Gaza-bound “Sumud Flotilla” have been brought to shore and are being processed ahead of their deportation, the Israel Police said on Thursday.

Over 600 police officers, along with prison officials and immigration representatives, received the activists at the port of Ashdod, where their 41 boats will also be moored.
According to police, the activists underwent a “thorough inspection process” before being handed over to the Population and Immigration Authority and the Israel Prison Service for further processing.

On Wednesday evening, special forces of the Israeli Navy’s Shayetet 13 boarded 41 boats of the “Global Sumud Flotilla” as it approached Israeli-controlled waters off the Gaza coast.
Channel 12 reported that authorities decided to deport the activists as quickly as possible and to cover their flight expenses. The state is reportedly considering chartering an aircraft to deport all European citizens back to the continent in one go. (All Israel News) Read more here.
- Holy Father, we pray that a move of Your Spirit will bring repentance to those who are deceived by the lies not only of Climate change advocates, but the lies of groups that advocate for the hatred of Israel and the IDF. Since “aid” in the flotilla was described as “negligible” we know that somewhere lies were at the bottom of the entire action. Whether the members of the flotilla were unaware of their own cargo, or willfully attempting to deceive the rest of the world is unknown, but You know.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. PM: No part of Trump deal gets implemented before hostages' return
- Israel Hayom

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Sunday that moving forward with the 21-clause post-war plan put forth by President Donald Trump is entirely contingent upon the prior release of all Israeli hostages held in Gaza, asserting that Israel will assume responsibility for demilitarizing the Strip and precluding any role for the Palestinian Authority in its future governance.

Netanyahu made the comments with families of the Forum of Heroism, which comprises families who lost loved ones in the October 7 massacre and the Iron Swords war.

During the meeting, the prime minister clarified that "we will not proceed to any of the 21 clauses of the Trump plan until the first clause – the release of all the hostages, living and deceased, until the last of the hostages, every single one of them, has crossed into Israeli territory – we will not proceed to any other clause." Netanyahu also stated that "the Palestinian Authority will not govern Gaza the day after. No representative of Hamas and no representative of the Palestinian Authority will be involved in controlling the Gaza Strip," and that "Israel will be responsible for and involved in the demilitarization of weapons in the Strip." 2. Katz: War to intensify if hostages not freed ‘in the near future’ - JNS

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned on Sunday that if Hamas refuses to release the 48 hostages from Gaza immediately, the Israel Defense Forces “will once again step up the intensity of fire.”

“We now expect the first phase [of the Trump peace plan] to be carried out in the near future, including the immediate release of all the hostages,” Katz said during a ceremony marking the 52nd anniversary of the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

“The IDF is in the heart of Gaza City and is ready for any possibility,” he continued. “If Hamas refuses to free the hostages, the IDF will once again step up the intensity of fire until its defeat and all captives are freed.” (Read more)

3. IDF strikes in Gaza City ‘significantly subside,’ but dozens said killed in past day
- Times of Israel

Israeli strikes in Gaza City were reported to have”significantly subsided” on Saturday, after the Israel Defense Forces was ordered to halt offensive operations there and move to purely defensive action amid a push by US President Donald Trump to bring about an end to the war.

Some residents of the city, spurred on by the news of developments in Trump’s push to end the war and the reduced military operations, took the opportunity to return to their homes on Saturday afternoon and survey the damage, ignoring the army’s warnings to avoid the “dangerous war zone.”

Still, as promised, the military continued to carry out strikes against targets it deemed to pose a threat, including in Gaza City’s Tuffah neighborhood, in which at least 18 Palestinians were reported killed, including children. (Read more)

4. Hundreds of thousands protest in Amsterdam against Gaza war - Reuters

AMSTERDAM, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Hundreds of thousands of protesters marched through Amsterdam on Sunday, calling for the Dutch government to take a tougher stance against Israel's war in Gaza.

Organisers estimated that around 250,000 people joined the demonstration - a figure supported by local police. Most wore red to signal their support for a symbolic "red line" against Israel's siege of Gaza.

The 'red line march' followed a similar massive protest in The Hague in May, and was planned weeks ahead of the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump of his plan to end the war. The PAX Netherlands organisers said they hoped for peace in Gaza, but added that Trump's plan had not changed their resolve. (Read more

5. Ancient synagogue discovered in the Golan, testifying to Jewish ties to the area - World Israel News

An ancient synagogue dating back some 1,500 years has been unearthed in the Golan Heights, highlighting the area’s historic Jewish presence.

The ruins of the house of worship were discovered during an archaeological excavation in the Yehudiya Nature Reserve, as teams from the Zinman Institute of Archaeology at the University of Haifa worked at the site.

This is not the first time evidence of settlement during the Byzantine period has been found in the Yehudiya Reserve.

However, while large numbers of architectural items had been located in the area in the past, the location of the synagogue remained a mystery. (Read more)

1. FBI cuts ties with SPLC after ending ADL partnership – Just The News

FBI Director Kash Patel has severed the agency's ties with the Southern Poverty Law Center, a left-wing civil rights advocacy group that has faced scrutiny from conservatives in recent years.
"The Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine," Patel posted on X. "Their so-called 'hate map' has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence. That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership."
Under this FBI, all ties with the SPLC have officially been terminated," he added.
The move follows Patel cutting ties with the Anti-Defamation League, an antisemitism watchdog group that has long faced allegations of political bias and anti-Christian sentiment. Read more
- Thank You, Father, for the FBI cutting ties with these biased organizations. We ask that the Blood of Jesus bring only ‘partnerships’ that advance the safety and protection of Americans.

- “And through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” (Colossians 1:20)

2. Federal Government Freezes $2.1 Billion for Chicago Transit Projects Over Alleged Race-Based Contracting – The Epoch Times

The federal government will withhold $2.1 billion for two Chicago infrastructure projects, the U.S. Department of Transportation has announced, citing a new rule that bars race- and sex-based contracting requirements from federal grant programs.

The agency said in an Oct. 3 statement that the Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA’s) Red Line Extension and Red and Purple Modernization Program have been placed under administrative review “to determine whether any unconstitutional practices are occurring.”

The suspension follows similar moves in New York earlier this week, where $18 billion for the Hudson Tunnel and Second Avenue Subway projects was also put on hold, amid similar concerns around constitutionality.

White House Budget Director Russell Vought took to X to say that the reason the two projects have been put on hold is to “ensure funding is not flowing via race-based contracting.” (Read more)

- Holy Father, let Your perfect will be used for all programs, rather than the ideas of man. We ask for true peace between races that can only come from a move of Your Holy Spirit.

- “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” (Prov. 16:9)

3. Apple Pulls ICE Tracking Apps Amid Widespread Attacks On Immigration Agents – Daily Wire

Apple has pulled apps used to expose the whereabouts of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents across the country to help illegal immigrants avoid arrest, which critics say have helped attackers target the agents.

The move comes after it was revealed that the anti-ICE shooter who opened fire on an agency facility in Dallas last month used the app before the attack. Two detainees were killed, while a third was injured as a result of the shooting.

Such threats to law enforcement led Attorney General Pam Bondi to instruct officials at the Justice Department to pressure Apple to take the anti-ICE app down, Fox News Digital reported.

“We reached out to Apple today demanding they remove the ICEBlock app from their App Store — and Apple did so,” Bondi told the outlet. “ICEBlock is designed to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs, and violence against law enforcement is an intolerable red line that cannot be crossed. This Department of Justice will continue making every effort to protect our brave federal law enforcement officers, who risk their lives every day to keep Americans safe,” she said. (Read more)

- Lord, we praise You that Apple pulled this program. Let no harm come to law enforcement, and we ask for accountability to those who live in hate against ICE.

4. Yes America, Democrats really do want tax dollars for illegal immigrants- Just the News

At midnight Tuesday, the government shut down. Prior to the deadline, Republicans passed their budget proposal out of the House of Representatives, but Senate Democrats, along with Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, shot it down, 55-45.

While Republicans have branded this the "Schumer Shutdown," blame-slinging began months ago when negotiations commenced to avert the budget showdown.

The clarity of Democrats' desire to give illegal immigrants free healthcare is abundant, as evidenced by every single Democratic nominee eagerly raising their hand in support of the policy at the June 2019 NBC presidential debate. In practice, it has become more of a shell game.

How the shell game works: Channeling federal dollars through states

Some states, often Democratic-led, are stretching the boundaries of federal Medicaid rules to extend coverage to certain immigrants who aren't fully "qualified" under the law, effectively routing federal dollars toward groups legally considered ineligible.

The New York Times issued their own "fact check," which vaguely admitted that "Separately, the federal government does reimburse hospitals for providing emergency care to low-income unauthorized immigrants who are otherwise ineligible for Medicaid." (Read more)

- Father, we pray that Your Holy Spirit will reveal truth to Americans in a way that all can hear. We ask for a move of repentance to sweep across the nation, especially in places where truth is being twisted.

- “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” (John 16:13)

5. DOJ orders investigation into ‘wrongful arrest’ of conservative influencer Nick Sortor in Portland - Washington Examiner

The Justice Department has ordered an investigation into Portland, Oregon, police over the arrest of Nick Sortor late Thursday, the conservative influencer announced Friday morning.
The Portland Police Bureau released Sortor from custody earlier Friday, hours after he was arrested on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct as violent protests broke out near an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Oregon's largest city.

Sortor, a 27-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was arrested alongside two Oregon residents, according to a press release from the city's police department. All three people were booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on the same misdemeanor charge.

Sortor said the DOJ investigation into his "wrongful arrest" will be led by Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon, adding that Attorney General Pam Bondi called him to "deliver this news." He was ecstatic about the federal department's decision. (Read more)

- Holy Lord, we ask that the Portland law enforcement be granted wisdom to be able to stand against pressure from city leadership. Teach them to be strong for the citizens of the city instead of the lawless people who only care about their perceived power.

6. Trump's 'war-ravaged Portland' National Guard deployment halted by federal judge over authority concerns – Fox News

A U.S. District Court on Saturday issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) to halt the Trump administration from deploying 200 National Guardsmen to Portland, Oregon, amid violent anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protests.
The lawsuit, brought by the State of Oregon and City of Portland, argued the deployment was unlawful, exceeding the president’s statutory and constitutional authority.
Judge Karin Immergut, appointed by President Donald Trump in 2019, granted the TRO blocking the federal action.
Trump in June issued a memorandum authorizing the federalization of National Guard troops, citing threats to federal employees and property during protests against immigration enforcement.
While violence was reported near a Portland ICE facility in June, the state alleged that, by late summer, protests had become small and largely peaceful.
On Sept. 27, Trump announced via Truth Social he was directing Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to deploy troops to "war-ravaged Portland" to protect against "Antifa and other domestic terrorists" and authorized "full force, if necessary." (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that this issue be brought before the Supreme Court as quickly as possible. They already ruled deployment was within the President's authority. But dear Lord, these lower courts continually blocking the President is becoming ridiculous. Let Your Holy Spirit move mightily across America, bringing repentance and understanding of Your truth.

- “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.” (Proverbs 18:2)

An Exhausting Summit

By Tania Curado Koenig

(Published on Monday, Sept. 29th)

It was supposed to be history. Instead, it became hours upon hours of weary talks. First in New York, then in Washington, dragging on longer than anyone expected. By the time Netanyahu stood at the podium, his face was red, his voice cracked, and sweat rolled under the lights. The delay itself told the story: nothing about this framework was simple.

When they finally spoke, they dressed it as a breakthrough. A minor withdrawal in the first seventy-two hours if Hamas accepts. The release of hostages in that same narrow window. A new international body, to be chaired by Trump together with Tony Blair, overseeing Hamas’s disarmament and Gaza’s demilitarization. Israel holding a security perimeter “for the foreseeable future.” A U.S.–Israel–Qatar trilateral announced with praise for the Emir, Netanyahu even admitting he had called Doha to express regret for the strike that killed a Qatari officer. Trump smiled as though the job were already done: “Our Arab and Muslim partners are fully prepared to step up. The promise of a new Middle East is closer than ever.”

Yet the length of the talks and the staging of the words made it feel more like theatre than substance. Everyone played their part, but the script left the hardest scenes unwritten.

Behind the shine, the silences were deafening. Trump, who always boasted that the B-2 strikes “saved Israel,” never mentioned them. The intelligence gap with Israel remains: Americans claiming obliteration, Israelis insisting uranium still hidden. Annexation too, once a red line, disappeared from the language. Neither man wanted to touch it. That silence was not resolution, only postponement.

The contradictions filled the room. Hamas has given no signal it will hand over all hostages or surrender weapons. The seventy-two-hour deadline is not a plan but a line of hope, without lists, corridors, or verification. Israel’s coalition is fragile, far-right ministers ready to revolt at even a modest withdrawal. Arab capitals will not pour billions into ambiguity; they wait for proof, not speeches. The very exhaustion of the talks was itself proof of how fragile the framework remains.

And then came the reaction beyond the room. Hamas was not happy. They called it deception, “a trick like Iran.” What unsettled them most was the language of seventy-two hours and total disarmament — it left them no bargaining chips. The Houthis dismissed Trump’s plan as “impossible to implement,” fearing that if Gaza is pacified under this model, Yemen is next. The man who will sweat the most in the next three days is the Emir of Qatar. All of Hamas’s political leadership sits in his capital. Trump’s trilateral made him directly responsible for their answer. If Hamas says no, it is not just Hamas exposed — it is Qatar’s credibility and the Emir himself. If they say yes, he can claim he delivered peace.

And this is why the 21-point deal unsettled them so deeply:

By the end, when words had stretched thin, both leaders reached for something beyond politics. Trump said almost wistfully: “Within a few days there shouldn’t be shooting in Gaza. There probably will be, but there shouldn’t.” And Netanyahu, drained and sweating, sealed his speech not with strategy but with covenant: “Those who bless you will be blessed, and those who curse you will be cursed” (Genesis 12:3).

That is where the weight lies. Not on the signatures, not on the deadlines, but on the covenant. The future of the land does not rest on human negotiations. “They shall not divide the land” (Joel 3:2).

I want to thank everyone who has been praying. What happened here I see as a victory, an answer to prayer. The enemy camp trembles. There is no victory in diplomacy, and there is no victory in the plans of men. The victory is in the covenant of God, and in the prayers of His people. (Tania Curado Koenig)  Read more here.

- Father God, we know that You rule in the heavens, so when we do not understand the affairs of men on earth, we know that You do. The situation with these talks is so complex; we can only pray in the Spirit and rest all matters on Your altar. Thank YOU, Holy One, for Your safekeeping over us all. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- "God causes ALL THINGS to work together for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)
Trump to Deploy 300 National Guard Members in Illinois

President Donald Trump has authorized the deployment of 300 members of the Illinois National Guard to protect federal assets amid “violent riots and lawlessness,” according to a White House spokesperson.

Spokeswoman Abigail Jackson confirmed the deployment in a statement to The Epoch Times.

“Amid ongoing violent riots and lawlessness, that local leaders like [Illinois Gov. JB] Pritzker have refused to step in to quell, President [Donald] Trump has authorized 300 national guardsmen to protect federal officers and assets,” she said. “President Trump will not turn a blind eye to the lawlessness plaguing American cities.”

Pritzker accused Washington of attempting to escalate tensions amid ongoing clashes between protesters and federal agents in the Chicago area.

The governor said in an Oct. 4 statement that the Department of War issued him an ultimatum earlier in the day—either he mobilizes the state’s National Guard or the administration will do it directly.

“It is absolutely outrageous and un-American to demand a governor send military troops within our own borders and against our will,” Pritzker said. “They will pull hardworking Americans out of their regular jobs and away from their families all to participate in a manufactured performance—not a serious effort to protect public safety. For Donald Trump, this has never been about safety. This is about control.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father of justice, we ask that  You provide wisdom to the President as courts attempt  to block these deployments. We speak peace to the upheaval  in these dangerous cities.

- "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John16:33)

‘Consumed with hate’: Winsome Sears, Jason Miyares unload on Democrat Jay Jones over violent texts

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears delivered a blistering one-two punch this weekend, saying Democratic AG candidate Jay Jones has disqualified himself from office after texts emerged in which he wished for the death of a Republican rival’s children.

The coordinated condemnations marked the most aggressive escalation yet in a controversy that has thrown Virginia politics into a fever pitch heading into the nationally watched 2025 election.

"Jay Jones has shown he’s reckless, biased, and willing to trade away his integrity," Miyares wrote in an open letter to Virginians, posted to social media late Saturday. "This conduct is disqualifying."

"The enemy is among us, devouring us in Virginia and in America today," Sears said in a fiery speech. "Jay Jones fantasizes about murdered little children lying lifeless in their mother’s arms. And yet he runs for attorney general, our chief law enforcement officer."

The uproar followed the publication of private 2022 text messages in which Jones, then a rising Democrat star, said he hoped former Republican House Speaker Todd Gilbert’s children would die. When challenged, Jones doubled down, saying that such grief might be "a good thing" if it advanced his politics.

But Virginia Republicans said the damage is irreversible. Miyares, who has served as attorney general since 2022, wrote that as a prosecutor he has "sat with crying victims and grieving families" and heard "the cries of a parent who has lost a child." He said no one, "least of all a candidate for Virginia’s top law-enforcement office, should ever treat such pain as a political tool."

Miyares’ letter put the race's stakes in plain language. "If you believe it is okay to wish death upon a political opponent — vote for my opponent," he wrote. "If you believe it is worth the death of children to advance your political goals — vote for my opponent. If you want to give a green light to violent lunatics — vote for my opponent."

The attorney general said his own oath of office obligates him to protect every Virginian, "regardless of whether they are a Democrat or Republican." He added: "I cannot imagine someone running for this job who advocates for violence." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord, we bind the hate in this man's heart and ask that Your Spirit bring justice and repentance in this matter.

- "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand." (Matthew 4:17)

Prayer targets during governmental shutdown

(Submitted by IFA)
On Wednesday, October 1, the federal government shut down operations due to a budgetary battle in the Senate between Republicans and Democrats. The below prayer guide walks you through how to pray during this time of national uncertainty. There are many layers to how the nation and who is affected by this shutdown. It is complicated. But our prayer can be for God’s best for our nation.
  • Pray that President Trump and the administration use wisdom for what is essential funding for the nation and what is not as they set budget priorities.
  • Pray that they listen to the voice of God guiding them. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps (1 Peter 2:21)
  • Pray that Congressional leaders and Administration officials hold strong to biblical values as they make decisions for our nation that they do not waiver in what is right. But you shall hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day (Joshua 23:8)
  • Pray that principle over party would determine the content and support for the
continuing resolution and for the inclusion of biblical values and wisdom, and that they prioritize what is holy for America. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty (Psalm 29:4)
  • Pray for federal workers and veterans that they are held tight by God during this time as they face uncertainty. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me (Isaiah 49:16)
  • Pray for Americans affected by the ancillary results of the shutdown such as the health care industry and government contractors and vendors. Pray for God ‘s provision for them in the midst of the shutdown. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19)

"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;

October 2025 Full Moon: Harvest Moon is the Largest and Brightest Supermoon of the Year
Watch for the Harvest Moon!
Mark your calendars! On Monday, October 6, 2025, the full Harvest Moon reaches peak illumination at 11:47 P.M. Eastern Time. This isn’t just any Moon—it’s the first of three Supermoons in 2025, making it the largest and brightest full Moon of the year. Rising low on the horizon, it will appear bigger, brighter, and more golden than any other Moon this year, casting long, glowing light across autumn fields, landscapes, and evening skies. Gardeners, photographers, and stargazers alike will find it a sight to remember.

When to See the Full Harvest Supermoon
The Harvest Supermoon peaks at 11:47 P.M. EDT on Monday, October 6, 2025Convert Eastern Time to your time zone using our converter.

Because it is a Supermoon—occurring when the Moon is at perigee, its closest point to Earth—it will appear noticeably larger and brighter than a typical full Moon. Use the Almanac’s Moonrise and Moonset calculator to catch the perfect view.

What Makes the Harvest Moon Special

The Harvest Moon is the full Moon closest to the autumnal equinox (September 22 or 23). Unlike other full Moons, it rises about the same time for several nights, providing extended evening light. Historically, this extra illumination helped farmers complete their harvests before fall frosts.

Fun fact: In 2025, October’s full Moon is closer to the equinox than September’s, so it takes the name Harvest Moon, while September’s Moon is called the Corn Moon.

A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
