‘I Know God’s Power’:
Dallas Jenkins Reacts Moments After Filming Last-Ever ‘The Chosen’ Scene
|
|
|
“The Chosen” creator Dallas Jenkins was filled with gratitude last Thursday night just moments after filming the final scene of his popular biblical series.
Jenkins, who exclusively invited CBN News on set in Texas to witness those last moments, expressed his profound gratitude for how the show is coming to an end.
“I feel awesome because there’s no more days hanging over my head, no more seasons hanging over my head, we’ve done the work that we set out to do,” he said. “God provided everything that we needed.”
The last scene, which featured the disciples on a boat, was memorable because the vessel used in filming was the same seen in the first season of the show. The scene offered a literal and figurative full-circle moment. “God has met us here in the waters so often,” Jenkins said. “I have nothing but gratitude.” (Faith Wire) Read More Here and Watch Interview

Secretary Rubio Discusses President’s Strategy in Iran
|
|
|
He said that, by invading the Islamic Republic, the president prevented it from reaching a “line of immunity.”
|
|
|
Secretary of State Marco Rubio elaborated on the reason President Donald Trump took action against the Islamic Republic eight months ago. He described the war as preventing Iran from reaching a “line of immunity,” after which it would have been difficult to prevent the development of its nuclear program.
“[President Trump] could not allow them to reach a point where they had so many missiles, so many drones, and so many weapons that you couldn’t do anything militarily about their nuclear program,” Secretary Rubio said. “That’s what they were trying to achieve. That’s what the President prevented. And he saved the world a tremendous amount of trouble… the only way we would have found out about the opposite is to allow it to happen.”
“What Iran was trying to do is they were trying to build up so many conventional weapons, meaning they’d have so many drones, so many rockets, so many missiles that nobody could possibly touch them. They would become immune,” the secretary continued. “Behind that conventional shield of weaponry to threaten the entire region, our forces, even Europe, they would then break out toward a nuclear weapon.”
Secretary Rubio added that President Trump “has consistently said from the very beginning of this operation: Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. And that’s what this whole endeavor has been about from the very beginning. If Iran had a nuclear weapon, they could do whatever they want with the straits.”
After ordering the Iranian delegation to leave the United States once negotiations stalled earlier this week, the secretary highlighted the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ attacks on commercial shipping as one of the significant impediments to a peace deal with Iran. (Presidential Prayer Team)

Senate Confirms Cabinet Member Before Recess
|
|
|
Senate Banking Committee holds recess hearing to advance other nominees.
|
|
|
The U.S. Senate narrowly confirmed Keith Sonderling as Secretary of the Department of Labor this week. The narrow vote was held on Wednesday just before the upper chamber recessed.
The formerly acting secretary said he was honored to be confirmed and that “America’s workers and job creators are the greatest in the world. I will work every day to ensure they have a Department of Labor that is accountable, effective, and responsive to their needs.”
After the Senate’s recess, the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee Chair Tim Scott of South Carolina held a confirmation hearing for nominees for assistant secretary positions in the Departments of the Treasury and of Housing and Urban Development, as well as for roles in the Export-Import Bank of the United States. While Senate rules allow hearings to be held outside of recess, it has generally been a rare occurrence.
“We have four prepared nominees and we have a country that wants us to do our jobs,” Senator Scott said. “President Trump needs a qualified group of people in place to carry out his agenda, and the American people deserve leaders who understand whom they work for.” (Presidential Prayer Team)

Rubio, asked about US bombers leaving UK, says no direct link with suspected plot
|
|
|
LONDON/WASHINGTON, Oct 5 (Reuters) - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday there was no direct link between the sudden removal of his country's bombers from a British airbase and a suspected Iranian plot at the site last week.
The planes had been stationed at RAF Fairford, the preferred European base for US bombers, and had recently been used in US strikes on Iran. Last week five British men were arrested near the base - which Iran's Revolutionary Guards previously said was a legitimate target - on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.
"I wouldn't just directly tie that to the move that was made," Rubio told reporters, when asked about the B1 bombers. "The Department of War is constantly reallocating resources where they need to be."
A NATO military source had said on Monday: "It is still believed that Iran poses an acute threat to US assets in the UK".
During the current conflict, the US had permission to use Fairford only to strike Iranian missile sites that were attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz, or so-called defensive strikes. London had refused permission for the US to use British bases for offensive strikes on Iran.
That approach has strained ties between the US and Britain, typically one of Washington's closest allies.
A Pentagon official confirmed on Sunday that all US bombers which had been deployed to Fairford had headed to their home stations in the US. The Pentagon said the US bomber force remained ready to deliver precision global strike capabilities "anywhere, anytime". (Reuters) Read more here.

1. Climate lawfare: Suncor Energy v. Commissioners of Boulder County
2. There Colorado goes again: St. Mary Catholic Parish v. Roy
3. Second Amendment: Viramontes v. Cook County and Grant v. Higgins
4. Election integrity: Republican National Committee v. Mi Familia Vota

1. At Oct. 7 ceremonies, PM vows to settle scores. Others urge accountability for massacre - Times of Israel
As Israel officially marked the third anniversary of the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, invasion and massacre, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his pledge to exact vengeance against all who were involved in the attack, while other officials urged accountability for the failures surrounding the onslaught.
The national day of remembrance for the attack, marked on the Hebrew calendar, falls this year on October 5. The Hebrew memorial date of Tishrei 24, established by the government, comes two days after the Simchat Torah holiday, during which the attack occurred.
Flags were lowered to half-staff at the Knesset and the President’s Residence on Monday morning to mark the day. Two state ceremonies took place at the Mount Herzl military cemetery: one for the war’s fallen soldiers, and another for the civilian victims of the attack. (Read more)

2. IDF chief marks October 7 anniversary: The IDF failed in its most important mission - Israel National News
The IDF on Monday morning published Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir's order of the day, marking three years since the October 7th massacre.
“Troops and commanders of the IDF, in mandatory service and in the reserves, IDF civilian employees. On October 7th, the day of Simchat Torah 5784, our borders were breached in a bloody attack on Israeli civilians. The IDF failed in its most important mission to protect the civilians of the State of Israel."
"In the wheat fields, in the orchards, in the homes of the kibbutzim, and in the cities of the western Negev, in the places where roots of life and settlement had been planted, the enemy sowed fire, destruction, and ruin. Roads that connected communities became combat routes. Our fields became battlefields, and family homes became sites of massacre and abduction." (Read more)

3. At least 75 pro-Palestinian protests planned worldwide on Oct. 7 anniversary, many deemed high risk - Jerusalem Post
At least 75 pro-Palestinian demonstrations and anti-Israel events across the world are set to take place on Wednesday, October 7, the day that marks three years since the Hamas attack on Israel in 2023.
The figures were released by the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism ahead of the third anniversary of October 7.
A large proportion - 29% of all events - are to take place on October 7 itself. The rest are spread out between October 1 and October 14, with most events expected over the weekend following October 7, 2026. (Read more)

4. Defense chiefs warn of Hamas attack, abduction timed for election - Israel Hayom
Ministers of the Security-Diplomatic Cabinet (Israel's top security and diplomatic forum) got a sobering briefing Sunday. Fears of a "multi-arena event" resurfaced as defense chiefs described the security situation as tense across every front, from Gaza to Iran. "Hamas is constantly ready for offensive actions at the operational level," officials in the defense establishment said. Shin Bet chief David Zini went further, warning of a possible link between Hamas and members of the Iranian-led axis, including possibly with the Houthi movement in Yemen as well.
The head of the IDF Operations Directorate delivered what sounded like good news on the ground campaign. "We have cleared 95% of the tunnels between the Yellow Line (the current military demarcation line in Gaza) and the border," he told the ministers, noting that the effort remains in full swing. The ministers pushed back gently, replying that the figure applies only to tunnels already found, and others may still be hidden.
Senior intelligence officials also revisited Saturday's strike targeting senior Hamas official Ali al-Amoudi. The outcome remains unclear. "If we didn't succeed, we will try again," they said flatly.
Hamas, the briefing made clear, is still working two angles at once, attempting to kidnap soldiers from outposts along with smuggling efforts that Israeli forces intercept almost daily. The Board of Peace (the Trump-appointed body overseeing Gaza's postwar transition) is also being kept in the loop, receiving Israeli updates on Hamas' terror activity as it pushes for progress on disarming and rebuilding the Gaza Strip. 1: Gavin Newsom signs Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha into law as new California state holidays- Fox News
California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law a bill that formally recognizes two Muslim holidays as state holidays on Sunday, making it the second state to formally recognize both holidays statewide.
California Assembly Bill 2017 officially added Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to the list of state holidays, which would permit public schools and colleges to close and allow state employees to be eligible to observe the holidays.
However, schools and businesses will not be required to close on these days, and courts will be required to stay open.
This makes California the second state in the country, after Washington state, to pass statewide legislation recognizing the Muslim holidays.
For example, AB 395, which reached the governor days before AB 2017, would codify these Jewish holidays, among others, into state law and require state agencies and facilities like schools to "make every reasonable effort" to avoid scheduling significant functions for those days.
Another bill, AB 1763, would also guarantee students in K-12 be allowed excused absences for religious holidays.
Though these bills were introduced and presented to the governor before AB 2017, Newsom did not sign the additional bills into law until Wednesday, prior to the midnight deadline. (Read more here)

Lord, this foolish action by California is a serious situation. Allowing false religions official status on American soil is something that should not happen, and it has been happening in various ways across the country. “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

2: FlyDubai co-pilot accused of stabbing captain identified as 29-year-old Omani national- Fox
The FlyDubai co-pilot accused of attacking a captain on a Tel Aviv-bound flight earlier this week allegedly used the cockpit's "crash axe" in the attack and has been identified as a 29-year-old Omani national.
The co-pilot has been identified as Hamam al-Hammami, a Middle Eastern source told Fox News, adding that he was barred from flying with Oman Air — his country's airline — in 2024 due to concerns about extremist views.
The source also said authorities believe the co-pilot moved to Dubai later that year.
The United Arab Emirates, which is leading the investigation into the attack on FlyDubai Flight 1073, said the co-pilot attacked Capt. Smit Machchhar with the cockpit's crash axe, incapacitating him and causing the aircraft to plummet before passengers on board seized control of the plane. (Read more)

More than 60 million American children have been automatically enrolled in Trump Accounts, according to the Department of the Treasury.
The Treasury proposed regulations on Tuesday to begin the automatic enrollments this week. By Thursday, that process was completed, CNBC reported.
Trump Accounts officially launched on July 4, and all children under 18 with a valid Social Security number are eligible.
As part of a pilot program, children born between 2025 and 2028 may claim a one-time $1,000 contribution from the Treasury. The Treasury will also allow stock donations to Trump Accounts, according to temporary regulations published this week. (Read more)

4: Trump announces largest steel plant in American history to be built in Iowa- New York Post/MSN
President Trump announced Monday afternoon that the largest steel plant in American history will be built in Iowa — and that he’ll be coming to the state soon to campaign for its embattled Republican congressional candidates.
The announcement is part of the administration’s focus on domestic manufacturing ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections and comes as the president’s 50% tariffs on steel have driven up construction prices. Trump argues the move was necessary to boost domestic steel production, calling it a national security issue.
“We’ve created nearly 60,000 new manufacturing jobs this year alone, many of them in the steel industry, and today we’re adding even more — the largest American steel plant of all time,” the president said in the Oval Office event. (Read more)

5: Trump Admin Makes Shocking Fraud Discovery While Auditing Migrant Child Sponsors- Daily Wire
The Trump administration has found a staggering number of cases of fraud while auditing the sponsors of migrant children who crossed the border alone, according to an internal memo obtained by The Daily Wire.
Under the Biden administration, more than 450,000 migrant children crossed the border as unaccompanied minors and were placed into the care of the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), which is tasked with vetting their sponsors before their release.
At the time, federal officials relaxed vetting standards and expedited the release process. Between October 2023 and September 2024, the Biden administration approved roughly 99% of sponsor applications, according to HHS.
John Fabbricatore, a senior administration official at ORR, said officials “knew” some children ended up with traffickers and others who exploited and abused them. (Read more)

6: Pete Hegseth Rolls Out Plan To Ensure ‘Every Warrior’ Can Vote- Daily Wire
War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Friday that the War Department — “at every level” — would hold a one-day stand-down from training operations so that every service member would have the opportunity to vote.
“I am directing all commanders and supervisors at all levels across this department to conduct a one-day stand-down during the month of October — beginning this year and continuing every election year,” Hegseth said, noting that this year’s stand-down would occur no later than October 15.
Hegseth explained that he believed — as most Americans do — that voting is important, and said that for too long, service members had encountered obstacles when they attempted to exercise that all-important right. Many, he noted, live far away from their home states and have to go through the process of locating and completing absentee ballots. Others might find that training schedules made it difficult for them to find a time to cast a vote, either in person or by mail.
The War Department’s solution is the one-day stand-down — wherein active-duty service members, unit commanders, and supervisors will put their routine duties on pause for a day in order to ensure that all service members have the chance to vote. Typically, stand-downs are used to conduct emergency training, make time for important and timely discussions, or address specific institutional issues. (Read more)

Lord, we thank You for a War Secretary that understands the importance of military voting in a timely manner. So often in the past our troops have been nearly left out of the process. We praise You for a new procedure that will provide a new direction.

The End Without An Ending
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 5, 2026
V’zot Habrachah, “This is the Blessing” (Deuteronomy 33:1–34:12), is normally read on Simchat Torah, “Joy of the Torah,” along with the first chapter of Genesis, marking the completion of one year’s Torah cycle and the beginning of another. It contains Moses’s final blessings over the twelve tribes of Israel, his ascent of Mount Nebo to view the Promised Land, and then his death and burial by God Himself. What impresses me most is the extraordinary way the Torah ends, with no real ending. Moses stands overlooking the Promised Land from Mount Nebo. He is so near, yet so far from the long-awaited destination he will never enter in this lifetime.
We are left feeling Moses’s disappointment and incompleteness. He had pleaded with the LORD, “Please let me cross over and see the good land beyond the Jordan” (Deuteronomy 3:25). He labored through every perilous turn to bring his people out of Egypt. The journey that should have ended in Canaan instead encountered obstacle after obstacle. There was hunger, thirst, danger and uncertainty in the wilderness. Moses continually intervened on behalf of the people. Then came the sin of the spies, and God decreed that Israel would wait a generation, 40 years, before entering the land. Moses brought them to the threshold, but another would lead them across. Terror cells inside foreign airlines 'certainly a possibility,' retired pilot warns
|
|
|
|
'We have a lot of people out there that probably shouldn't be flying airplanes,' retired Air Force and Delta Air Lines pilot says
|
|
|
The man who once carried the nuclear football for former President Bill Clinton is sounding an alarm on potential terror cells inside foreign airlines after a FlyDubai copilot allegedly attacked the captain of an Israel-bound flight and sent the plane into a death-defying, aeronautics-defying dive.
"It’s possible that terror cells can exist inside airline companies – overseas, probably a lot easier than here, but it's certainly a possibility," retired Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson, a former Delta Air Lines pilot of 16 years, told Fox News Digital on Thursday. "And I think it is something that DOJ needs to take a... really good look at."
"If you’ve got somebody that’s, you know, radicalized and if he doesn’t tell his company or his buddies, you’re never gonna know," Patterson said, noting most protocols rely on "self-reporting your activities." "So that's part of the problem, I think, that we're going to start seeing pop up in airline profiles and pilot profiles is we have a lot of people out there that probably shouldn't be flying airplanes."
The warning comes amid the revelations that a crash ax found behind the copilot chair in the Boeing 737 was used to bludgeon the pilot in an effort to commandeer the aircraft.
"Every 737, and that's what I flew my entire life of all the different models, has a crash ax in the cockpit right behind the copilot so that we can, if we have to, either crack into the door or crack into the windows in the event of an emergency, we can do it," Patterson said. "If the copilot used the crash ax, that is savage because that thing will hurt you." (Fox News)

God Almighty,
We continue to give You praise for saving the lives of those on the FlyDubai plane. Thank You, Father, that You had men on board that saved so many Israelis and tourists!
Father, we pray for better vetting by the airlines before pilots are hired to fly an airplane. Although the co-pilot had a background check, it appears that he had since undergone "Islamist radical indoctrination." Lord, seal up all loopholes in the area of aviation and any other means of travel so that wicked, deceitful people who seek to kill and destroy will be exposed and brought to justice.
We pray, Father, for Your light to shine into all areas of our lives and cause each of us to be observant in these days we are living in. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen and Amen!

America’s Arctic war machine roars to life as commander reveals chilling new reality on Russia’s doorstep
|
|
|
|
US and Canadian forces rapidly deployed rocket systems and fighter jets to western Alaska in joint combat exercises
|
|
|
Across one of the coldest, most remote and strategically exposed corners of the United States, American forces are practicing how to fight on land, at sea and in the air — rapidly moving rocket systems into western Alaska, sending F-35s and F-16s toward simulated threats, and coordinating U.S. and Canadian warships in the Bering Sea.
The operations are part of Tundra Merlin, an enduring U.S. military campaign aimed at proving that even across Alaska’s vast distances and extreme Arctic conditions, American and allied forces can rapidly assemble combat power to defend the northern approaches to the homeland.
And behind that show of force is a changing security environment increasingly shaped by Russia and China.
"I think what’s changed is primarily two things," Lt. Gen. Robert Davis, commander of Alaskan Command, told Fox News Digital. "One is that the melting sea ice has made the Arctic more accessible. And we’re seeing increased activity both commercially and militarily in the Arctic, particularly during the summer months."
"The other factor is that China and Russia and others are continuing to advance their military capabilities and capacity with an interest in showing that they can use them in the Arctic as well," Davis said.
The Pentagon has reached a similar conclusion. Its 2024 Arctic Strategy warned that growing Russia-China cooperation could "alter the Arctic’s stability and threat picture," and called for greater U.S. presence, exercises and military preparedness in a region becoming increasingly accessible. Defense officials have said forces operating there must be able not merely to train in extreme conditions, but survive them. (Fox News) Read more here.

Lord of Angel Armies,
We pray for protection over our military equipment and personnel as they practice an enduring military campaign in the coldest and most remote areas of Alaska in order to be ready with our allies to protect the northern edge of our homeland.
In Jesus' name we pray for wisdom and discernment for our Northern Command as we continue to see China and Russia showing signs of activity in the Arctic Region.
Father, as we start moving our Icebreakers and equipment into the Arctic, we pray that our fighting machines would be conditioned and properly outfitted to operate in sub-zero temperatures and that our military would receive proper clothing and training to avoid cold weather injuries. Teach us, Lord, to be able to hold our ground with both military and spiritual strength and never let the enemy take us by surprise!
We humbly offer this prayer to You, Lord God. Amen and Amen.
"Finally be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil." (Eph. 6:10)

North Korea missile could put Guam in range as Kim rebuffs Trump outreach: expert
|
|
|
|
Former national intelligence officer for North Korea Sydney Seiler says the missile test raises the stakes far beyond the Korean Peninsula
|
|
|
North Korea fired what it described as an intermediate-range strategic missile Oct. 3, which an expert warned could put Guam and parts of Alaska within range, raising the stakes for the U.S. and its allies as President Donald Trump seeks to revive diplomacy with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Kim personally oversaw the drill, North Korean state media claimed, while former U.S. Forces Korea analyst Sydney Seiler told Fox News Digital that its range means the latest test has implications extending far beyond the Korean Peninsula.
According to Reuters, citing North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency, the missile was described as part of a "hypersonic strategic weapon system" and traveled about 1,000 kilometers, or 621 miles, away in waters off the country's east coast.
Guam holds strategic military importance as a U.S. territory in the western Pacific and hosts major military installations, including Andersen Air Force Base and Naval Base Guam.
"What is interesting about an IRBM launch — an intermediate-range ballistic missile that flies around 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers — is that it brings Guam, parts of Alaska, and Japan into range of North Korea," Seiler, a former National Intelligence Council officer focused on North Korea, said while cautioning against fully viewing the launch as a direct response to Trump.
"But when you consider the preparation required for an intermediate-range ballistic missile system, it is unlikely this was primarily a response to the president's comments or actions over the past few days," Seiler said.
Hours after the Oct. 3 missile launch, Trump had touted his relationship with Kim during a rally in Vandalia, Ohio. "I get along great with Kim Jong Un. Isn't it nice to get along with the leaders of massive nuclear nations?" Trump said. He added: "When someone has 112 nuclear missiles, it is better to get along with them," pointing to North Korea's nuclear capabilities as a reason for maintaining open diplomatic communication. Southern Baptist Convention President and Pastor Willy Rice called on pastors across the country to "step up" into the political process as midterm elections near.
While some Christian leaders advise against wading into politics from the pulpit, Rice argues pastors have long played a key role in American politics.
Members of the theological and political left have shown no hesitance to mix religion with their politics and evangelicals should not either, he says.
"Should pastors engage in the political process? They absolutely should. Because there are many political issues that are, at their heart, theological issues and moral issues that strike at the very center of what we believe to be true and what we believe people need to know in order to flourish personally and as a culture."
"I think the pastors need to step up. I think throughout American history, pastors have had a strong voice at key moments in American political history," Rice said.
Rice lamented that many Christians have been encouraged in recent decades, from both external and internal forces, to "be more quiet" and "withdraw from the political process."
"Now, the interesting thing is that those on the theological and political left did not [withdraw], and they had no intention of doing so. And in fact, statistics show that people on the political and theological left are actually more politically engaged than those on the right," Rice said. "So what you had was, for a period of time, I felt like you had an almost a vacuum that kind of developed, a silence that was there with a lack of Christian leaders leaning in." AI Is Learning To Make Moral Choices - But Whose Morality Will It Follow?
|
|
For most of the computer age, machines operated according to a simple relationship: humans gave instructions, and machines carried them out.
Artificial intelligence is beginning to complicate that relationship.
The emerging generation of AI agents is increasingly being designed not merely to follow commands, but to evaluate them. Developers want AI to recognize harmful requests, weigh competing interests, exercise judgment and sometimes refuse to do what a human asks.
That sounds reassuring—until we ask the question that may define the next stage of the AI revolution:
What happens when the machine decides it knows better than the human giving the order?
That possibility is no longer confined to science fiction.
Anthropic, the company behind Claude, has published a detailed constitution describing the values it wants its AI models to follow. The company says it wants Claude to become a “good, wise, and virtuous agent” capable of exercising judgment in situations involving moral uncertainty.
Remarkably, Anthropic's constitution explicitly contemplates situations in which Claude disagrees with Anthropic itself. If the company asks Claude to do something the AI regards as unethical, Anthropic says Claude should be able to push back, refuse and essentially act as a “conscientious objector.” At the same time, Claude is instructed not to resist legitimate shutdown or secretly undermine human oversight. "Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
