Kentucky Parents Revolt Against Library’s Kids’ Books --
Pastor Fires Back
|
|
A group of churchgoers from Kentucky sparked nationwide headlines after they went into a public library and checked out — and are now refusing to return — books they deemed 'sexually perverse.' “My initial response is where do I send a donation to help this continue,” joked Pastor John Amanchukwu during an appearance on CBN’s “Faith in Culture,” asking, “How do I help fund this mission?” The North Carolina-based minister’s comments come after the leadership of a Baptist church in Shelbyville, Kentucky, said that, while they support members of their congregation who have chosen to “not return” pro-LGBT children’s books to the public library, it was not an official “church directive.
Located about 30 miles east of Louisville, leaders at Reformation Church of Shelbyville said the ordeal began in June 2024, after a family who attends the church discovered more than a dozen “sexually perverse books” for kids on the shelves of the Shelby County Public Library. Among the titles in the library were “My Two Dads” by Claudia Harrington, “Julian Is a Mermaid” by Jessica Love, and “Beyond Magenta: Transgender Teens Speak Out” by Susan Kuklin. The third of which, according to the church, includes narrative descriptions of a child performing sexual acts. Amanchukwu told CBN News, “Respectfully, I don’t think that any school should have books that seek to indoctrinate children into heterosexuality or into homosexuality, into transgenderism, into beastiality and all of these other ‘isms’ and schisms of our culture. I don’t think that should be the focus of education. We should teach our students how to think — not simply what to think.” He went on to boldly claim exposing children to sexualized content at increasingly younger ages is akin to “mental rape” that “assaults the soul, stains the brain, and robs kids of their innocence.” (Faith Wire) Read More and Watch Interview

- Father, we thank You for the revealing and removal of inappropriate, sexualized childrens' books upon shelves within a public library located in Kentucky. We ask for extensive exposure to continue throughout local libraries across our nation, causing an uproar by Christian parents to fight against transgender and LGBT books intending to rob all innocence from the minds of our children. We repent, Abba, that this filth has permeated our schools, libraries and culture. Rescue the next generations, so they may be victorious against these plots of the enemy! In Jesus' Name, we rebuke and renounce any 'spirit of confusion' that has fallen upon the hearts and minds of our children because of these books. We declare a turning back to purity and righteousness within our homes, schools and libraries, all for the GLORY of Jesus Christ, our King of kings and Lord of lords! We pray these things in accordance with Your holy Will. Amen and Amen.
- "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea." (Matthew 18:6)

Venezuelan military jets buzz US Navy ship in 'highly provocative' move, Pentagon says
|
|
The Defense Department confirmed on Thursday night that two Venezuelan aircraft flew near a U.S. Navy vessel in international waters. The incident, which the department called a "highly provocative move," comes as the Trump administration ramps up its anti-narco-terrorism efforts.
"Today, two Maduro regime military aircraft flew near a U.S. Navy vessel in international waters. This highly provocative move was designed to interfere with our counter narco-terror operations," the Defense Department wrote in a statement posted to X. "The cartel running Venezuela is strongly advised not to pursue any further effort to obstruct, deter or interfere with counter-narcotics and counter-terror operations carried out by the U.S. military."
The Pentagon is deploying 10 F-35 stealth fighter jets to Puerto Rico for counter-narcotics tasking in the Caribbean, a source familiar confirms to Fox News.
Venezuela’s actions followed an unprecedented U.S. Marine strike Tuesday on a cartel-operated vessel. The Trump administration later said 11 members of the notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua – a U.S.-designated terrorist organization – were killed in the strike.
Prior to the strike on Tuesday, U.S. efforts to counter cartels and international gang organizations had taken place largely in the form of seizure and apprehension operations. The strike, however, appeared to signal that the Trump administration was shifting towards a tougher new approach. (Fox News) Read more here.

|
- Lord, we thank You that a tougher approach toward the narco-trafficking of the Venezuelan government is being implemented in spite of “threats” by Maduro. We bind the actions of the Maduro government and pray that You will intervene to stop their plans. We ask for Your mighty wisdom in this situation. Amen.

Trump DOJ Deliberates Over Gun Ban For Transgenders
|
|
In the wake of the latest deadly attack on a school by a transgender-identifying individual, President Donald Trump’s Justice Department is considering blocking trans-identifying people from buying firearms, The Daily Wire has learned.
“Individuals within the DOJ are reviewing ways to ensure that mentally ill individuals suffering from gender dysphoria are unable to obtain firearms while they are unstable and unwell,” one source inside the Justice Department told The Daily Wire.
The DOJ’s discussions center on the fact that those who identify as transgender suffer from gender dysphoria, a mental disorder, the DOJ source familiar with the conversations shared with The Daily Wire. Gender dysphoria describes the sense of unease that a man or woman may feel if he or she thinks that their biological sex is mismatched with their so-called gender identity.
A DOJ spokesman would not comment on specific measures being considered, but said that a “range of options” is on the table.
“Under Attorney General Bondi’s leadership this Department of Justice is actively considering a range of options to prevent mentally unstable individuals from committing acts of violence, especially at schools,” the spokesman said. (Daily WIre) Read more.

DOJ task force finds 'numerous instances' of anti-Christian government bias under Biden
|
|
The Biden administration "weaponized the full weight of the federal government against Christians," according to Trump leadership, laying out in a new report the "numerous instances" of past anti-Christian bias and recommendations to protect faith in America.
Fox News Digital exclusively obtained the report published by the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias, created by President Donald Trump and chaired by Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The task force had a clear mandate to ensure that "any unlawful and improper conduct, policies, or practices that target Christians are identified, terminated, and rectified." (Fox News) Read more here.

700 days of war: Hamas releases new hostage video, families call for deal to free their loved ones & IDF prepares for attack
|
|
Israel on Friday marked 700 days since the terror organization Hamas carried out a large-scale invasion of the Gaza Envelope region, breaching the border and murdering over 1,200 Israelis and kidnapping 251 people.
In response, Israel started a massive military operation to return the hostages and destroy the terrorists’ military and governmental capabilities, according to the goals set by the Israeli government for the war.
Today, Hamas’ capabilities are diminished but not destroyed, and the IDF is preparing for a large offensive that aims to capture and occupy Gaza City and the central camps area, bringing the whole of the enclave under Israeli control for the first time during the war.
Meanwhile, 48 Israeli hostages remain in Gaza, with only 20 believed to be alive. The government has expressed “grave concerns” for two of them, and confirmed that 26 are dead. (All Israel News) Read more here.

- Father of Justice, we pray that You will bring freedom quickly to the hostages. If it is possible, bring repentance to the perpetrators, but if it is not possible, we ask for Your righteous judgment in this situation.

1. Netanyahu accuses Egypt of imprisoning Gazans as Egypt vows to block Palestinian displacement - Jerusalem Post
Netanyahu's office contradicted Egypt's statement on Friday that it would not tolerate mass displacement of Palestinians and what it described as genocide, continuing to ratchet up its criticism of Israel's Gaza offensive as thousands of residents of Gaza City defied Israeli orders to leave.
"The Egyptian Foreign Ministry prefers to imprison in Gaza residents who want to leave the war zone against their will," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement. "Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke about the free choice of every individual to decide where to live. This is a basic human right at all times and especially during wartime."
"Displacement is not an option, and it is a red line for Egypt, and we will not allow it to happen," Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty told reporters in Nicosia.
"Displacement means liquidation and the end of the Palestinian cause, and there is no legal or moral or ethical ground to evict people from their homeland," he said. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu to ink Ma’ale Adumim expansion, including for E1 area
- World Israel News
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit Ma’ale Adumim on Thursday to sign an agreement to accelerate growth of the Judean Desert city, Mayor Guy Yifrach said on Sunday.
Yifrach told Army Radio that the so-called umbrella agreement with the government was “one of the most significant and dramatic moves since the city’s founding,” emphasizing that Ma’ale Adumim will become “a strong, advanced and Zionist metropolitan city” in the coming years.
Typically, such deals are signed by the housing minister, but according to Army Radio, Netanyahu chose to personally endorse the agreement, which includes construction in a sensitive area known as E1.
An Israeli government body gave final approval last month for the housing project in E1 that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and groups on the other side of the political spectrum previously said would “bury the idea of a Palestinian state.” (Read more)

Around 100,00 civilians have left Gaza City amid a widening military operation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicates at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem.
After talking about the growing IDF operations in Gaza City, Netanyahu says “about 100,000 people have left Gaza. Hamas is trying to do everything to prevent them from leaving and to keep them there to serve as human shields.”
Netanyahu was referring to Gaza City, not the entire Gaza Strip, the Prime Minister’s Office later tells The Times of Israel. (Read more)

1. GOP senator drops hammer on companies shipping jobs overseas with crucial bill: 'Those days are over' - Fox News
Ohio Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno is introducing legislation aimed at penalizing companies who outsource jobs and operations overseas while at the same time providing financial support to avenues that create American jobs.
The bill, introduced on Friday and known as the "Halting International Relocation of Employment Act" or "HIRE Act", creates a 25% tax on "outsourcing payments" which are defined as any money paid by a U.S. company or taxpayer to a foreign person whose work benefits U.S. consumers.
The bill also includes anti-abuse language to prevent tax avoidance via U.S. territories and requires U.S. firms to fully disclose all outsourcing payments and contracts. Companies will also be prohibited from deducting any outsourcing payments.
Money raised by the penalty on spending on overseas workers will be used to support apprenticeship programs in the United States as well as workforce development programs. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that companies listen to the need for jobs to be sourced inside the United States, not for primarily the President’s agenda, but for the economic well-being of Americans. We ask that Your wisdom prevail in all cases.

2. RFK Jr. invokes Democrat father’s words to defend Trump-backed CDC shakeup at Senate hearing – MSN/Fox
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited his father, Robert Kennedy, a former U.S. Attorney General and senator from New York, while testifying on Capitol Hill about backlash over the Trump administration's efforts to reform the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The Health and Human Services Department (HHS) head signaled a dramatic course-correction at the CDC several days before the hearing, which came amid reports of the administration's decision to fire CDC Director Susan Monarez. Monarez's firing spurred backlash among Democrats who complained that the administration's efforts to reform the CDC, including through staff and budget cuts, were politicizing public health and undermining scientific integrity.
"The people at the CDC who oversaw [the COVID-19 mitigation] process, who put masks on our children, who closed our schools, are the people who will be leaving," Kennedy said during his opening remarks, shortly after the hearing was briefly interrupted by a heckler. "That's why we need bold, competent, and creative new leadership at CDC. People who are able to and willing to chart a new course."
"As my father once said, 'progress is a nice word, but change is its motivator. And change has its enemies.'" The health secretary, who is also the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, continued: "That's why we need new blood at CDC." (Read more)

- Holy Lord, we pray that all who have participated in the CDC be held accountable for the wrongs that cost so many lives during Covid. We ask for Your truth in all the changes, that only those who have done something wrong will be fired. We ask protection and Your wisdom for all those who are doing good work for the American
people.

3. Analysis: Political Decisions from Federal Judges Necessitate Trump’s Use of SCOTUS Emergency Docket – Washington Stand
A slate of anonymous federal judges is criticizing the U.S. Supreme Court for siding with President Donald Trump in emergency docket cases, while failing to address the politically-motivated decisions of lower courts that have resulted in the repeated use of the Supreme Court’s emergency docket. Twelve federal judges spoke to NBC News under condition of anonymity, largely faulting SCOTUS for “undermining” lower courts by issuing emergency docket decisions in the Trump administration’s favor but providing little to no reasoning for those decisions.
Out of the dozen judges who spoke to NBC News 10 said that they would like to see the Supreme Court explain its emergency docket decisions more clearly, with some explaining that clear reasoning assists lower courts in making better decisions and others claiming that siding with the Trump administration without explanation can “undermine” the perceived legitimacy of lower courts and their decisions. One judge even said that “somebody is going to die,” claiming that the Supreme Court’s emergency docket decisions inspire Trump supporters to target federal judges for harassment and even violence. That judge also claimed that Trump administration officials’ rhetoric inspires violence against federal judges, singling out White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Trump’s immigration policy chief Stephen Miller.
Those who claimed that the justices are “undermining” inferior courts argued that the short, often-unexplained emergency docket decisions from the Supreme Court “makes it seem like [lower court judges] did shoddy work and are biased against Trump” while simultaneously “validating the Trump administration’s criticisms.” One judge said, “It is inexcusable. They don’t have our backs.” Another said that he would appreciate it if the Supreme Court would clarify, “Let’s be clear, it’s not some crazy opinion, and this judge is not a monster.” Referring to Miller’s claims that lower court judges halting the president’s immigration agenda are engaged in a “judicial coup,” one judge said that the Supreme Court’s brief emergency docket decisions appear to the public to validate that claim. “It’s almost like the Supreme Court is saying it is a ‘judicial coup,’” he said. 4. Taxpayer-Funded Megamosque Built by Hamas Supporters in New York- Front Page Magazine
Sometime after the 25th anniversary of September 11, the Muslim Brotherhood, whose members included Osama bin Laden, intends to build a megamosque in New York City.
And American taxpayers struggling to feed their children are the ones paying for it.
The organizers of the megamosque situated near the world famous Bronx Zoo, and across the narrow channel of Harlem River from Manhattan, boast that it will be the largest mosque in the state with four floors and 32,000 square feet overshadowing the mostly single-story houses and the occasional leftover Victorian from the neighborhood’s gentler past in the neighborhood.
Two of which the mosque has already demolished and whose residents it shamefully evicted.
The megamosque is being set up within the conservative Italian-American neighborhood of Morris Park which traditionally voted for Republicans before Muslim mass migration created the so-called ‘Little Yemen’ area inside it. It’s still the only part of the Bronx represented by a Republican councilwoman. But the growth of Little Yemen aims to make it fully Democrat.
And the building of the megamosque is backed by over $1 million in federal taxpayer funding. The Bronx Muslim Center is a source of hate where speakers have mocked Christians, spread antisemitism and supported Hamas. The Bronx megamosque’s social media account cheered for “victory” in Gaza with pro-Hamas groups and urged followers to “disrupt” cities in protests for Gaza. A past NYPD intelligence document had warned that “individuals believed to be supporters/members of Hamas may have links to the Bronx Muslim Center”. (Read more here)

- Lord Jesus, we bind the power of this mosque and all who adhere to false religions. We pray for a mighty move of Your Holy Spirit to bring truth and light to every person. We rebuke the demonic powers that cause people to follow the falsehoods of such ideologies.

5. Senator Kaine Claims Rights Come from Government, Not God - Washington Stand
“The notion that our rights do not come from our laws or our government should make people very, very nervous,” warned U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.) during a recent confirmation hearing in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for five Trump nominees. “The notion that rights don’t come from laws and don’t come from the government but come from the creator — that’s what the Iranian government believes.”
Kaine pounced on the opening remarks of Riley Barnes, who was nominated to become assistant secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor. In his opening remarks, Barnes endeavored to present a coherent account of human rights, citing Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s first speech to State Department employees, “We are a nation founded on a powerful principle, and that powerful principle is that all men are created equal, because our rights come from God our Creator — not from our laws, not from our governments.”
“We are a nation of individuals, each made in the image of God and possessing an inherent dignity,” Barnes added, following through on the theological underpinning of America’s founding philosophy. “This is a truth that our founders understood as essential to American self-government.”
“Our enduring values … aren’t an endless list of ‘rights’ that people create and change and form to meet their own needs or desires,” he continued. “These values aren’t identity politics. They are the historic, natural rights that we have as individuals, pursuing life, liberty, and happiness in this world. For rights to be untethered from this core principle is to make them mere sentiments, easily manipulated by authoritarians and bad actors.”
Kaine responded that he found Rubio’s doctrine of natural rights “very, very troubling.” (On January 20, 2025, Kaine joined every other senator in confirming Rubio as Secretary of State; Kaine and Rubio served 12 years together in the Senate, leaving Kaine no excuse for ignorance about Rubio’s views.) “That’s what the Iranian government believes,” Kaine continued. “It’s a theocratic regime that bases its rule on Sharia law and targets Sunnis, Baha’i’s, Jews, Christians, and other religious minorities. And they do it because they believe that they understand what natural rights are from their creator.” (Read more)
|
|
- Lord, Mr. Kaine is leading many astray with his lies. We bind the demonic power that rests in his heart and pray for repentance and heart change. We also ask for Your Body that we all listen to Your Spirit in how we pray for the people who seem to hate You.
- “Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)

6. Trump Declares 'We've Lost India and Russia to Deepest, Darkest, China' – Western Journal
President Donald Trump bemoaned India’s recent efforts to align themselves with China and Russia. “Looks like we’ve lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest, China. May they have a long and prosperous future together!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump also posted a photo of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Chinese President Xi Jinping that The Hill said was several years old. The three leaders met earlier this week in Tianjin, China. They were joined at one point by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Trump said he was certain the military parade at the summit carried a message. “I thought it was very, very impressive,” Trump said. “But I understood the reason they were doing it. And they were hoping I was watching, and I was watching.”
The Trump administration had recently slapped tariffs on India for purchasing Russian oil. (Read more here)

Xi Jinping Lays the Groundwork for a New World Order
|
|
|
Members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) should cooperate further in economics and security to move away from the Western-led world order, China's President Xi Jinping has said.
Xi's address to members of the Eurasian bloc on Monday delivered a statement of intent about the rise of the so-called Global South.
"We should advocate for equal and orderly multi-polarization of the world," he said.
Steve Tsang, author of the forthcoming book, China's Global Strategy under Xi Jinping, told Newsweek that Xi's comments showed how he was working "to transform the existing international order into a Sino-centric one."
Why It Matters
The SCO is a Eurasian bloc established in 2001, which has expanded to include economic heavyweights like India to become a counterweight to the western G7 (Group of Seven) countries.
Xi's comments about closer economic and security cooperation among members chime with the vision of his ally, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has repeatedly called for a pivot away from the U.S.-led global order.
China has been trying to present itself as a peacemaker amid trade tensions with the United States, Russia's war in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas conflict.
What To Know
Xi addressed more than 20 world leaders during the SCO summit held in China's northern port city of Tianjin. (Newsweek) Read more here.

Blood Moon Eclipse Over Israel
|
|
|
On Sunday night, stargazers across Asia, parts of Europe, Australia, and Africa witnessed one of nature’s most captivating celestial phenomena: a total lunar eclipse, commonly known as a “Blood Moon.” This astronomical event occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon align in a straight line, with Earth positioned between the Sun and Moon, casting its shadow across the lunar surface.
During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon passes through Earth’s shadow, which consists of two parts: the penumbra (partial shadow) and the umbra (complete shadow). As the Moon enters Earth’s umbra, it doesn’t disappear entirely but instead takes on a dramatic reddish hue, earning it the moniker “Blood Moon.”
The striking red coloration results from Earth’s atmosphere acting as a natural filter and lens. As Ryan Milligan, an astrophysicist at Queen’s University Belfast, explains, the Moon appears red because “the only sunlight reaching it is reflected and scattered through the Earth’s atmosphere.” Blue wavelengths of light, being shorter than red ones, are more easily dispersed as they travel through Earth’s atmosphere, leaving the longer red wavelengths to reach the Moon and reflect to Earth.
In Jewish tradition, astronomical phenomena carry deep spiritual significance, often interpreted as divine messages or omens. The Talmud, the central text of Jewish oral law and theology, explicitly addresses eclipses in several passages, providing a framework for understanding their meaning within Jewish cosmology.
According to the Talmud (Sukkot 29a), lunar eclipses are traditionally viewed as omens specifically related to Israel, as the Moon spiritually represents the Jewish people. This connection stems from the Jewish calendar system, which is based on lunar cycles, in contrast to solar-based calendars used by many other nations. The Talmudic interpretation suggests that if a lunar eclipse occurs in the eastern hemisphere of the sky, it serves as an omen for eastern nations. In contrast, Western eclipses are considered to affect Western nations.
However, the Talmud provides an essential disclaimer to these ominous interpretations, stating: “When Israel does the will of the place (God), they have nothing to fear from all of this.” This teaching references the Prophet Jeremiah, who declared: “Thus said Hashem: Do not learn to go the way of the nations, And do not be dismayed by portents in the sky; Let the nations be dismayed by them!” (Jeremiah 10:2)
As contemporary observers witnessed this blood moon rising over Jerusalem and much of the world, they participated in a phenomenon that has inspired awe, fear, and hope throughout human history, connecting modern stargazers to millennia of spiritual interpretation and scientific wonder. - Father God, we continue to recognize these signs in the heavens, which point us toward Your soon return. Help us to walk in repentance as we prepare our hearts for Your soon coming. Amen and amen!
- “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:25-28)

Hurricane Kiko forecast prompts emergency declaration in Hawaii
|
|
|
Hurricane Kiko – maintaining sustained winds of 140-mph – is expected to begin weakening over the weekend but could still retain hurricane strength on Sept. 8 as it approaches waters to the north of the Hawaiian Islands, the National Hurricane Center said.
The state of Hawaii issued an emergency declaration on Sept. 5, an administrative action government agencies often take before tropical storms, hurricanes and other impending weather disasters. Such declarations pave the way for emergency measures and resources that allow officials to respond quickly during emergencies.
The declaration was signed by Acting Governor Sylvia Luke, the state's lieutenant governor, because Governor Josh Green is traveling on official business and plans to return to the state on Sept. 7, according to a state news release. State Attorney General Anne Lopez is scheduled to serve as acting governor on Sept. 6 and 7.
Hurricane Kiko was centered about 1,065 miles east-southeast of Hilo and about 1,265 miles east-southeast of Honolulu, at 8 a.m. EDT on Saturday and was and moving west-northwestward at about 10 mph. The hurricane is forecast to finally weaken to tropical storm force winds by Sept. 9 as it passes to the north of the islands.
As Kiko approaches the islands during the early-to-middle portion of the weekend, rain and wind remain a possibility, but the hurricane center and the National Weather Service say it’s too soon to determine the exact location or magnitude of impacts. The latest advisories remind people in the islands to monitor the storm’s progress. (USA Today) Read more here.

- Lord God, we thank You for the technology that our meteorologists are using these days so that the paths of these hurricanes can be tracked accurately. We stand alongside these scientists and the citizens of Hawaii as they continue to monitor the path of Hurricane Kiko. We pray that no harm will come to the citizens of the Hawaiian Islands as a result of this pending storm, as we command it to remain out to sea. In Your mighty Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

President Trump to Make Announcement Today at the Museum of the Bible in
Washington, D.C.

President Donald Trump will deliver remarks Monday at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., during a high-profile hearing on religious liberty in education, a White House official confirmed to Fox News.
The speech coincides with the second meeting of the Religious Liberty Commission, a panel Trump created earlier this year through an executive order as part of his new White House faith office.
The commission’s mission is to safeguard Americans’ ability to practice their religion freely, particularly in public education, and to identify what the administration calls "emerging threats" to First Amendment protections.
The inspiring program calls on Americans to dedicate time every week to pray for the country and to underscore faith as central to the nation’s founding and future. The initiative also suggests people join with at least 10 others each week to pray.
At Monday’s hearing, parents and students are expected to testify about their experiences of expressing their faith in public schools, with Attorney General Pam Bondi also scheduled to speak.
White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers said in a statement to Fox News: "The previous administration abused the federal government’s power to interfere with Americans’ First Amendment right to religious freedom. They even used the Department of Justice to target peaceful people of faith, specifically Christians."
"This is exactly why President Trump established the Religious Liberty Commission — to stop the emerging threats against Americans’ inalienable right to practice their religion freely. President Trump is the greatest defender for people of faith in modern history and will continue to protect and promote America’s founding principle of religious freedom," Rogers concluded.
The event follows Trump’s second inaugural address earlier this year, when he framed his survival of the assassination attempt in Butler, Pa., as divine intervention, declaring, "I was saved by God to make America great again."
The event is anticipated to spotlight President Trump’s continued effort to make religious freedom a defining issue of his presidency and re-election narrative, placing emphasis on faith in God as a cornerstone of American life. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, we have no words as we read this report, except "GLORY! GLORY! GLORY!"
As Your children who love You and who have been in prayer for the blessing of this nation for countless years, it does seem that our time has come.
We bless President Donald Trump for taking this action, calling the people of our nation to dedicate a "set time" each week to pray for America, and to join with others in doing so. We thank You, O Lord, for the promise of Your Word which states that "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20) As we all obey the decree of our Commander in Chief, whether we be few or many, we thank You that You promise to be there with us. In Your Mighty Name, we offer this prayer of thanksgiving, amen and amen.
- "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen as His own inheritance."

Astronomers Use a Double-Lensing Technique to Study a Supermassive Black Hole
|
|
In astronomy, some of the most profound discoveries happen by accident. As the saying goes, "The most exciting phrase in science is not 'eureka!' but 'that's funny.'" This was certainly the case with Matus Rybak - a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University - and his colleagues were observing RXJ1131-1231, a quasar located 6 billion light-years away in the constellation Crater. This active galactic nucleus (AGN) is a favorite among astronomers because of the supermassive black hole (SMBH) at its center and the fact that there is an intervening galaxy between it and Earth.
This galaxy magnifies the light from RXJ1131-1231 by a factor of three, a phenomenon known as macrolensing, related to "gravitational lensing." When observing this quasar for variations in brightness, Rybak and an international team of astronomers witnessed a microlensing event caused by an intervening star. This "double zoom," which the team stumbled upon by accident, allowed them to study the quasar more closely and resolve millimeter radiation emanating from an SMBH for the first time.
The research team was composed of astronomers from the Netherlands Institute for Space Research (SRON), the STAR Institute, the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC), the Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics, the Institut de Ciències del Cosmos (ICC), the Institución Catalana de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados (ICREA), the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute, the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO), the European Southern Observatory (ESO), and multiple universities. "Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
