Our next speaker on our CHPP National Call on Monday, Sept. 6th will be RaJean Vawter of Vawtermark Ministries.

Recently, RaJean (who is a longtime friend of CHPP) was invited to share a teaching online to 1300 churches in India! When we learned about her teaching, we also wanted to hear what she is bringing now to the Body of Christ.

Her topic is: "How to Hear God Speak."

RaJean says:"There are 17 ways given in scripture. Do you know what they are? If not, what are you missing?"

Please join us this Monday to listen in on her 90-minute presentation. A recording and a PDF document will also be provided for your own research later next week.

The date of this call will be: Monday, September 6, 2025
The time is 8:00 p.m. EDT.

Our conference line is: 717-908-1834

Trade

Congressional Budget Office says Trump tariffs will reduce deficits by $4 trillion over next decade: The number is an increase from the budget office's previous prediction in June, which found that it would reduce federal deficits by $2.8 trillion over the next decade. • CBO: An Update About CBO's Projections of the Budgetary Effects of Tariffs: We project that increases in tariffs implemented during the period from January 6, 2025, to August 19 will decrease primary deficits (which exclude net outlays for interest) by $3.3 trillion if the higher tariffs persist for the 2025‒2035 period. By reducing the need for federal borrowing, those tariff collections will also reduce federal outlays for interest by an additional $0.7 trillion. As a result, the changes in tariffs will reduce total deficits by $4.0 trillion altogether.

Montana Republicans call for 50 percent tariff on Russian palladium imports

Schumer: Democrats 'will force votes' on Trump tariffs

Budget — Committees: House, Senate

Undoing wealth redistribution, as the One Big Beautiful Bill does, has a way of looking like reverse wealth redistribution: CBO estimates that, on average, household resources will increase over the 2026–2034 period, mainly because of reductions in how much households owe in federal taxes. • Most of the supposed reductions for the bottom 10 percent are for "in-kind transfers," meaning money poor people never see directly, but rather through the government paying for their food (SNAP) and health care (Medicaid). • CBO summary

That amount is $109 billion more than the deficit recorded during the same period last fiscal year. Revenues increased by $263 billion (or 6 percent), and outlays rose by $372 billion (or 7 percent).

National Debt

February 7: US Debt projected to be $37 trillion by end of September The US debt was projected to reach $37.2 trillion by September 30, 2025. It hit that point on 8/11/2025 and has stayed at that amount or higher since 8/21/2025. US debt could double to $74 trillion by 2035 if current spending trends continue. This debt is primarily driven by interest payments and demographic shifts, particularly Medicare. If interest rates rise, interest payments could become the largest expense in the US government, potentially leading to a financial crisis.

Considering the numbers from Social Security, CBO, and on growth: The U.S. government’s debt is primarily driven by interest payments and healthcare costs, particularly Medicare. The current spending trajectory, with mandatory spending on autopilot and a growing deficit, poses a significant challenge. Addressing this requires difficult policy decisions, such as talent-based immigration, automation incentives, and healthcare reform, to foster economic growth and reduce the burden on taxpayers.
