Upset Alert: Mamdani Plummets in New Poll as Republican Long Shot Surges

A new poll suggested that democratic socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s sheen may already be wearing off among voters.

Mamdani’s support appears to have dropped 14 percentage points from less than a week ago, based on a previous poll, while Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa’s surged 12 percent.

Mamdani shocked the political world by winning the Democratic primary, defeating former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

He now faces Sliwa and Cuomo, as well as current New York City Mayor Eric Adams, in the general election. Cuomo and Adams are both running as independents, assuming they each decide to stay in the race.

A poll conducted by HarrisX from July 7 to July 8 found Mamdani, Cuomo, and Sliwa in a statistical tie.

- Father God, we thank You that the voters in New York City are already seeing the danger that is at their door, should they vote for Mamdani to be their new mayor. We ask that, from now through November, more and more votes will see the light and vote for the Republican candidate who will be on the ballot.

Come, Lord Jesus, come, and save your people! May the spirit of deception be bound, and the spirit of truth rule. In Your Name, Holy One, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

- " I instruct you in the way of wisdom
and lead you along straight paths."

Trump Suing Wall Street Journal After Outlet Publishes Alleged Letter to Epstein

President Donald Trump said he will sue The Wall Street Journal over its publication of an alleged letter linking him to Jeffrey Epstein. In a Truth Social post, Trump called the letter “fake” and said the outlet had been warned not to publish it.

The Journal described the letter as a message for Epstein’s 50th birthday, allegedly part of a collection organized by Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein died in a New York City jail in 2019. The Department of Justice ruled it a suicide. Maxwell was convicted in 2021 of aiding Epstein’s sexual abuse of minors.

According to the Journal, the letter was a typewritten conversation and was framed by a drawing of a naked woman, with what the outlet claimed was Trump’s signature below the waist.

Trump told the Journal, “I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women. It’s not my language. It’s not my words,” he added.

The report said Trump threatened legal action before the article was published.

Thursday on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued.”

He continued, “Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so.”

Trump said WSJ Editor Emma Tucker was told by both him and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt that the letter was “FAKE.”

“Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway,” Trump wrote. “The Press has to learn to be truthful, and not rely on sources that probably don’t even exist.”

He said that he will sue The Wall Street Journal, News Corp, and Rupert Murdoch “shortly.” Trump added, “It has truly turned out to be a ‘Disgusting and Filthy Rag.’ This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS!” (Western Journal)

- Father God, once again we agree with our President, that only the TRUTH should be reported by the media: print and visual. Our nation and our government can only be governed by the truth and by facts; all else serves to weaken our authority. We ask that the Wall Street Journal retract this article and only report the facts about the Epstein case. We ask this in Your Holy Name, amen and amen!

- "I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up,
And have not let my foes rejoice over me."
(Psalm 30:1)

Alert: Democrat Sen. Tina Smith Hospitalized, Condition Unknown

Sen. Tina Smith, a Democrat from Minnesota, was hospitalized after experiencing an undisclosed medical issue while at work in the U.S. Capitol.

Her staff announced the news Wednesday evening on her official X account.

“A Note from Senator Smith’s Staff: While at work at the Capitol today, Sen. Smith started to not feel well. She went to the Capitol physician who recommended she undergo more thorough examination at GW hospital,” the post said.

“Out of an abundance of caution, they are keeping her overnight for observation. She expects to be back at work very soon.”

Smith, 67, was appointed to the U.S. Senate in December 2017 by then-Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton.

The announcement of her hospitalization came as the Senate remained in session into the night in what lawmakers dubbed a “vote-a-rama.”

According to CNN, lawmakers began debating a $9 billion rescission package Wednesday aimed at clawing back federal funding approved by Congress.

The effort could require Vice President J.D. Vance to cast a tie-breaking vote, depending on final support. (Western Journal) Read more here.

> > > The Minnesota Star Tribune is now reporting that Senator Smith is now
out of the hospital and has flown back to Minnesota. You can read an update
about her situation by going here.

- Father God, we ask that You place Your healing touch upon Senator Smith, and help her to recover from this illness. We ask that this affliction not spread any further to other members of the Senate. We bless her in the name of our Lord, amen and amen!

- "By Your stripes, I am healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

Reported Explosion Kills 3 at Los Angeles Sheriff’s Facility, Officials Say
A “reported explosion” occurred at a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department training facility on Friday that left at least three people dead, said U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office.

“I just spoke to @USAttyEssayli about what appears to be a horrific incident that killed at least three at a law enforcement training facility in Los Angeles,” Bondi said in a post on X on Friday. Her comment was reposted by U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, who did not offer a statement, a short while later.

Bondi added that “federal agents are at the scene and we are working to learn more” and called on people to “please pray for the families of the sheriff’s deputies killed.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.
- Lord, we pray that this investigation will move quickly, and that You will comfort the families of those who were lost. We ask that whatever caused this not happen again.

- “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)

‘Look At The Massacres’:
Syrian Priest Posts Desperate Plea As Islamist Attacks Intensify
A Melkite-Catholic priest in Sweida, Syria, issued a desperate plea for help from the outside world as Syrian Islamists have been murdering Druze and Christians in Syria.
Father Tony Boutros, a representative of the Melkite-Catholic Church, an Eastern Catholic church in full communion with the Holy See in Rome, was kidnapped in 2015 while driving to a church for Mass. He was then serving as the pastor of the Church of St. Philip the Apostle in Shahba.
Speaking from Sweida, where Islamic forces loyal to Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are attacking and reportedly slaughtering members of that country’s Druze community, Boutros posted an urgent cry for help to prevent Islamists from wiping out the Druze and Christian communities.
“We are not ‘minorities,” he began. “We are components of this Syrian country, and we have been living together for hundreds of years. We are the people of this land. We and our Druze brothers here, and we live with them. We ask the U.S., Europe, the Vatican, and the whole world for international protection for this region of Sweida, all of it, for us and for our Druze brothers, my dear ones, and we condemn every criminal act.” (Daily Wire) Read more here.
- Lord God Of Justice, we call forth Your mercy, faith, and love for all who are called by Your Name in Syria. When the jihadists took over the country, we immediately began praying for our brethren’s safety because we knew it would be difficult for them. We ask You to heed our prayers and bring peace to their lives.

- “Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will follow Him as long as I live.” (Psalm 116:2)
