Fla. county approves adding Ten Commandments to gov’t building displays:
'Foundations of American law'

A Florida county has approved a recommendation to add copies of the Ten Commandments to a display of historical documents in government buildings. The Collier County Board of County Commissioners voted 4-1 last week to approve Item 10.B following hours of debate and public comment both for and against the proposal. “Recommendation to display the Ten Commandments as part of a larger exhibit depicting the foundations of American law and government in appropriate publicly accessible locations on County property to be selected by the County Manager,” read the proposal.
Collier County Commissioner Chris Hall of District 2, who sponsored the recommendation, told The Christian Post that he was inspired to do so after speaking with an 87-year-old local school board member. “I thought it was a great idea just to encourage people to bring about the acknowledgment of moral values, virtue, humility, and getting back to what made this country great in the beginning,” said Hall. The commissioner told CP that he was “super-pleased” that the proposal was approved, though he “never anticipated the resistance that came about” and was “actually shocked that people would resist just a simple measure.” With the recommendation passed, local officials, including the county attorney, will meet to discuss the matter and how to add the Ten Commandments to the historical documents display. Macron slams U.S. over Palestinian ban, announces two-state solution conference
|
|
French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will co-chair a Conference on the Two-State Solution in New York on September 22.
In a statement, Macron said the objective is to rally the widest possible international support for a Two-State Solution, calling it “the only way to meet the legitimate aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians.”
Macron also criticized Washington’s recent decision to deny visas to Palestinian officials, calling the move “unacceptable” and urging the United States to reverse it in line with its obligations under the UN Host Country Agreement. (i24News) Read more.

Marco Rubio, the U.S. secretary of state and national security advisor, told Jean-Noël Barrot, the French foreign minister, that Washington is strongly opposed to “any unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state,” according to Tommy Pigott, the principal U.S. State Department deputy spokesman.
Recognizing a Palestinian state, which France plans to do, “would reward Hamas for Oct. 7 and hinder efforts to bring all hostages home,” Rubio told Barrot, per the U.S. readout of the Sept. 2 call.
The U.S. and French officials also talked about Russia and Ukraine, Iran, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Pigott said. (Read more here.)

Macron Announces Sept 22 as the Date When the Big Push for a Palestinian State Will Begin
|
|
As Israel presses forward toward conquering Gaza City, determined to finish what Hamas started on October 7, 2023, the stakes could not be higher. Two years after Hamas's brutal attack, Israel's leaders, from Netanyahu to top generals, are no longer negotiating partial deals or temporary ceasefires.
They are aiming for total victory--and the release of hostages. President Trump has signaled he wants a post-war timetable accelerated, raising the prospect of poetic justice: the defeat of Hamas two years to the day after it struck.
But the guns won't fall silent forever. The real question looms: what comes next? Will Gaza rise from the ashes as a place of peace, or will it remain a powder keg that threatens Israel and the region for decades?
The Trump "Riviera" Vision
Among the proposals circulating in Washington is the ambitious Gaza Reconstitution, Economic Acceleration, and Transformation Trust--GREAT. In essence, it's a plan to temporarily relocate Gaza's 2+ million residents, provide cash incentives, rent subsidies, and food assistance, and turn the devastated strip into a futuristic hub of luxury, technology, and tourism.
Think AI-powered cities, electric vehicle factories, and beach resorts--the "Riviera of the Middle East." Funding would come primarily from private and international investment, rather than U.S. taxpayers.
On paper, it's dazzling: a war-torn territory reborn, economic opportunity for Palestinians, and most importantly, a secure Gaza with Israel no longer under constant threat. It's a bold, almost audacious vision. Could it succeed where past proposals have failed?
The Hidden Challenges
The GREAT plan is far from a magic wand. For starters, "voluntary" relocation is complicated. Even with $5,000 payments, rent subsidies, and food aid, uprooting millions from their homes is fraught with resistance, anger, and resentment. Many Gazans will see this as coercion, no matter the euphemisms. A population that feels dispossessed--even temporarily--can become fertile ground for the very extremism Israel hopes to eliminate.
Then there's the threat beyond Gaza's borders. Even if Hamas is dismantled, Israel cannot control the hearts of every militant in Lebanon, Syria, or the Sinai. Kidnapping attempts, rocket fire, and terrorism could flare up for years. History shows that political borders cannot erase ideology or hatred overnight. Any postwar plan must reckon with an enduring local population that will always harbor anti-Israel sentiment. (Prophecy News Watch)

Russia Issues Warning as European Leaders, Zelenskyy Meet in Paris Before Trump Call
|
|
LONDON -- Russia's Foreign Ministry again warned that Moscow will not accept the presence of any Western troops in Ukraine as part of a future peace deal, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met a group of top European leaders in Paris on Thursday.
"Russia does not intend to discuss unacceptable foreign intervention in Ukraine in any form whatsoever," spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in comments published by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday. "Western war instigators view Ukraine as a testing ground for their military developments," she said.
Moscow has repeatedly rebuffed proposals for Western forces to be deployed to Ukraine in any capacity as part of a deal to end Russia's full-scale invasion of its neighbor, which began in February 2022.
Nonetheless, the prospect is still under discussion by NATO leaders and the Ukrainian government as an element of the security guarantees Kyiv says are needed to facilitate any U.S.-brokered peace deal.
Zakharova said Thursday that the protections under discussion "are not security guarantees for Ukraine, they are guarantees of threat to the European continent."
The remarks came before Zelenskyy gathered with European leaders -- the so-called "Coalition of the Willing" -- for further talks in Paris on Thursday. The group also spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump, who called into the meeting, the White House said.
"President Trump emphasized that Europe must stop purchasing Russian oil that is funding the war -- as Russia received €1.1 billion in fuel sales from the EU in one year," a White House official said following the call. - Abba, Your son Donald, needs Your help. He is trying to bring peace between Russia and Ukraine, he has spoken multiple times to both Putin and Zelenskyy, but so far there hasn't been much movement to bring this about. Father God, You know exactly why Putin is not really looking to make peace, we ask You to share that information with President Trump so he will know what he is dealing with and how best to approach him.
We ask You to intervene in the next phone call between these two leaders, we ask that You speak so directly to President Putin that he will hear Your voice and know it is You. Give him vision to see what Your outcome for this war is and how You would want him to help bring an end to the fighting. Give him wisdom to know that he is not able to stand against You, bring his heart into a place of accepting Your intentions for how this ends. We ask this in the name El Gibhor, Mighty God, the God who will bring destruction on His enemies.

Democrats Take to the Streets as Trump Prepares to Tackle Chicago Crime
|

|
Following his deployment of federal forces against violent crime in the nation’s capital, President Donald Trump is eyeing Chicago as his next target for a crackdown on crime, despite the protests of Windy City Democrats. At a press conference Tuesday, Trump announced that federal forces would be “going in” to Chicago to address the city’s high crime rates. “We’re going in. I didn’t say when,” the president said. He continued, “We’re going in. Look, I have an obligation. This isn’t a political thing, I have an obligation.”
“Let me tell you a little story about a place called D.C. District of Columbia. Right here where we are. It’s now a safe zone,” Trump added, referring to his federalization of Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and deployment of National Guard soldiers. The president continued, “We have no crime. It’s in such great shape, you can go and actually walk with your children, your wife, your husband, you can walk right down the middle of the street and you’re not gonna be shot. … You’re safe.”
Over Labor Day weekend, at least 58 people were reportedly shot in Chicago, including at least eight who died of their gunshot wounds. One Chicago shooting left five people, including a 17-year-old boy, injured early Monday morning. A 17-year-old girl was wounded by a stray bullet in another Labor Day shooting. Last year, 42 were shot in Chicago over Labor Day weekend, marking a nearly 40% increase in shootings.
Despite the rise in crime, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) had vocally opposed the president’s suggestion of using the National Guard to curb violent crime in the city. On Saturday, for example, Johnson signed an executive order barring city law enforcement officials from cooperating with federal law enforcement officials, requiring federal law enforcement officers — such as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents — not to wear masks while operating in Chicago, and “demand[ing] that President Donald Trump stand down from his threat to deploy National Guard personnel to Chicago.”
“We have received credible reports that we have days, not weeks, before our city sees some type of militarized activity by the federal government,” Johnson claimed in a press conference. The mayor added, “This executive order makes it emphatically clear that this president is not going to come in and deputize our police department. … I don’t take orders from the federal government.” (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

1. Netanyahu drops W. Bank sovereignty issue from agenda after UAE calls plan 'red line' - Jerusalem Post
The issue of applying sovereignty to the West Bank has been removed from the agenda of the discussion to be convened on Thursday by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following the United Arab Emirates calling the move a "red line," Israeli sources told The Jerusalem Post.
The Thursday discussion will focus on the security situation in the West Bank, in light of the upcoming UN General Assembly, where several countries will recognize Palestinian statehood.
Israel's defense establishment will warn ministers during the meeting that "the West Bank could erupt instantly," sources told the Post.
The IDF and defense establishment are attributing its warning to the dire economic situation in the West Bank, which is at a low point, as well as the political uncertainty surrounding the region. (Read more)

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar thanked US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday, after Rubio announced sanctions against Palestinian Arab NGOs directly engaged in the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) targeting of Israel.
“The ICC has been aided by the Palestinian NGOs - Al Haq, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights - in its politicized crusade against Israel,” said Sa’ar.

3. Israeli Military Says It Controls 40% of Gaza City, Plans to Expand Operation in Coming Days - Algemeiner
Israel controls 40 percent of Gaza City, a military spokesperson said on Thursday, as thousands of residents defied Israeli orders to leave in order for soldiers to target Hamas terrorists without civilians in harm’s way.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces have advanced through the outer suburbs and are now a few kilometers (miles) from the city center.
“We continue to damage Hamas’s infrastructure. Today we hold 40 percent of the territory of Gaza City,” Israeli military spokesperson Brigadier General Effie Defrin told a news conference, naming the Zeitoun and Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods. “The operation will continue to expand and intensify in the coming days.”
“We will continue to pursue Hamas everywhere,” he said, adding that the mission will only end when Israel‘s remaining hostages are returned and Hamas’s rule ends.
Defrin confirmed that army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir told cabinet ministers that without a day-after plan, they would have to impose military rule in Gaza. Far-right members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government have been pushing for Israel to impose military rule in Gaza and establish settlements there, which Netanyahu has so far ruled out. 4. Netanyahu said to reject Macron visit to Israel amid ‘Palestine’ rift - JNS
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has turned down a request by French President Emmanuel Macron to visit the Jewish state, a former French lawmaker told Israel’s Kan Newspublic broadcaster Wednesday.
“Macron sent a message to Netanyahu saying that he wanted to visit, but Netanyahu replied that, under the current conditions, this is not the right time to visit,” Habib, who served as a member of the French National Assembly between 2013 and 2024, told the channel.
The Hebrew news report cited an Israeli official as saying that the prime minister offered to approve the visit if Macron called off his initiative to recognize a Palestinian state, but that the French president refused.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added: “We will not allow Macron to dance at all the weddings,” a Hebrew expression meaning to play both sides or pursue opposing agendas. (Read more)

5. Suspect to remain in custody over fires started near PM’s home during hostage protest - Times of Israel
A 60-year-old man arrested on suspicion of setting fire to several trash bins during a hostage protest in Jerusalem will remain in detention for another five days, police announced Thursday morning.
Officers brought Amos Doron, a resident of Ramat Gan and lieutenant colonel in the reserves, to the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court, where he was ordered to remain in police custody until September 8.
Doron was arrested the day before over firesstarted near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in the upscale Rehavia neighborhood, which destroyed a car and forced residents to evacuate their homes. (Read more)

2. Trump Urges Europe to Cut Russian Oil Imports, Increase Pressure on China - The Epoch Times
President Donald Trump on Sept. 4 pressed European leaders to halt purchases of Russian oil that are funding the war in Ukraine and urged them to place economic pressure on Beijing for supporting the Kremlin’s war effort, a White House official told The Epoch Times.
Trump participated virtually in a summit of Ukraine’s top allies, the “coalition of the willing,” hosted in Paris by French President Emmanuel Macron.
During his speech, Trump pointed out that Russia earned about 1.1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) from fuel sales to the European Union over the past year, revenue he said is helping sustain the Kremlin’s military campaign. 4. RFK Jr. Defends CDC Shakeup as Fired Director Issues New Claim - The Epoch Times
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Sept. 4 defended the shakeup at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including the recent termination of its director.
“These changes were absolutely necessary adjustments to restore the agency to its role as the world’s gold standard public health agency, with the central mission of protecting Americans from infectious disease,” Kennedy said during an appearance before the Senate Finance Committee in Washington.
“CDC failed that responsibility miserably during COVID,” he said, pointing to how CDC guidance led to the closures of schools and businesses, as well as masking children as young as 2, while the United States recorded more than 1 million deaths due to COVID-19, according to death certificates. Lord give us competent leaders in these positions, who desire to make the right decisions when it comes to the health of American citizens adults, and children. Lord, we need smart, bold trustworthy, new leaders to take control and lead us at this time in our country. Make America healthy again. Humans are still drawing paychecks for these gigs, but let’s be real: they’re glorified editors at best, rubber-stamping what algorithms spit out. And the scariest part? We recognize the benefits it can bring, saving time and helping with many task, yet we also feel the weight of fear-fear of lost jobs, fear of misuse, fear of the unknown.
Grant as wisdom, knowledge, and discernment as we navigate this phenomenon. Teaches to use artificial intelligence for good and never for evil. Let it serve humanity and bring glory to You, rather than harm or destruction.

President Trump is demanding drug company accountability. The FDA has pulled the rug on the Emergency Use Authorization of the COVID vaccines, but people can still choose to get it. That means that the drug companies can still push it on an unsuspecting public. It’s about time the truth is acknowledged about the COVID shot. Trump Says Putin, Kim, Xi Conspiring Against US as CCP Stages Military Parade

President Donald Trump said that the head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Xi Jinping, was conspiring against the United States with the leaders of Russia and North Korea as they gathered for a military parade in Beijing marking the anniversary of China’s defeat of the Japanese in World War II.
As the parade began on Wednesday local time, Trump asked in a post on Truth Social whether Xi would “mention the massive amount of support and ‘blood’ that The United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader,” referring to Imperial Japan.
“Many Americans died in China’s quest for Victory and Glory,” he said. “I hope that they are rightfully Honored and Remembered for their Bravery and Sacrifice!”
Trump then went on to wish Xi and “the wonderful people of China … a great and lasting day of celebration.”
“Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America,” Trump said.

Trump Admin. Increasing Security for Migrant Children as Number Encountered at Border Falls over 90%

The number of immigrant children trafficked across the borders of the U.S. skyrocketed between 2021 and 2024, but federal law enforcement officials have seen those numbers plummet almost to nothing over the past seven months. According to data released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), President Donald Trump’s administration has overseen a sharp decline in the number of unaccompanied alien children (UACs) encountered by federal law enforcement officials, falling from 6,862 encounters in December to only 515 encounters in July: a 92.5% decrease. Since Trump returned to office at the end of January, CBP and other Department of Homeland Security (DHS) divisions have encountered a total of just over 4,733 UACs, compared to the annual average under the Biden administration of over 127,500, a 96% decrease.
Under the Biden administration, the number of unaccompanied minors subjected to sex-trafficking more than tripled, rising from an annual average of 625 sex-trafficked children to 1,143 in then-president Joe Biden’s first year in the White House. The numbers continued rising from there. According to border czar and former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) chief Tom Homan, over 300,000 UACs went missing under the Biden administration, with many suspected of having been sex trafficked. “We’re gonna find some of them living with pedophiles, living in sex slavery, some are gonna be dead, but we gotta find these children,” Homan said shortly before Trump returned to office.
One of the reasons cross-border child-trafficking has decreased so steeply is the presence of ICE agents at meetings between UACs and adult sponsors. Reportedly, ICE agents have begun attending the meetings during which migrant children are to be released from DHS custody to the care of their U.S.-based “parents” or sponsors, who are often illegal immigrants themselves. The new policy directive was issued by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) responsible for the care of those minors. The new policy requires sponsors seeking custody of immigrant children to attend in-person meetings, rather than submit identification documents online, for more stringent vetting. Other measures taken by the Trump administration to protect immigrant children include mandatory fingerprinting of adult sponsors and all adult members of their households and allowing immigration officials to conduct home inspections and home visits. - Beloved Abba, we thank You that legislative changes are hopefully being passed that would remove any loopholes in current regulations that allow unaccompanied alien children to be trafficked in our nation. We are beyond horrified that this evil phenomenon is happening anywhere, but especially in the USA. Thank You that the current administration and Congress will do what needs to be done to rectify these blatantly evil practices against the most vulnerable--unaccompanied migrant children.
Abba, we believe You have good plans for each one of these children; may the 300,000 that have disappeared be rescued and redeemed by Your mighty hand and be placed back with good, loving family members or with foster or adoptive parents that will work with You to restore the souls of these precious ones.
We praise You that the current officials are requiring in-person interviews, finger prints, and other documentation before the minor is released into the sponsor’s custody. We pray that there will be follow-up for each child as well. May the traffickers be captured and brought to justice. May these actions serve as a deterrent to the minions who carry out the cartels’ evil plans on both sides of the borders. Raise up whistle blowers, and make a way for the children to escape into Your refuge. Lord, have mercy!!!

| D.C. Mayor Pledges Ongoing 'Coordination' with Federal Law Enforcement Agencies after Surge |

With President Donald Trump’s 30-day crime emergency in Washington, D.C. set to expire next Wednesday, many D.C. residents — not to mention government officials and staff — have wondered what would come next. Would the city revert back to its previous levels of crime? Would Congress act to extend Trump’s intervention beyond 30 days? The answer provides a surprising contrast to Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D), who seems inexplicably determined to resist any real efforts to mitigate his city’s crime problem.
On Tuesday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) ordered local officials to coordinate law enforcement activities with federal agencies “on a continuing basis” and to “the maximum extent allowable by law.” Bowser ordered the establishment of a “Safe and Beautiful Emergency Operations Center (‘SBEOC’),” led by the deputy mayor for Public Safety and Justice, to manage the city government’s coordination with the federal government.
If “safe and beautiful” sounds more like a Trumpism than something the D.C. city government would coin, that’s because it is. On March 27, Trump issued an executive order “Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful,” which established “the Safe and Beautiful Task Force.” Bowser directed the SBEOC “to manage the District’s response to the Task Force, the Presidential declaration of emergency, and on a continuing basis.”
This timetable signals that the D.C. government will continue to cooperate with federal authorities beyond the 30-day federal surge period. The center would “coordinate centralized communications; formulate post-emergency planning; formulate post-emergency operations; and ensure coordination with federal law enforcement to the maximum extent allowable by law within the district.” (The Epoch Times) Read more.

Gulf on alert for hurricanes during 2nd half of September

There is growing concern of dangerous storms brewing close to the United States later this month with AccuWeather predicting a surge in tropical activity.
The unusually quiet start to September in the tropics may not last much longer. A surge in tropical development is expected around the middle of the month, AccuWeather hurricane experts warn. The Gulf and Caribbean, in particular, could breed dangerous hurricanes that quickly strengthen and threaten coastal communities.
"Atmospheric conditions will be primed for tropical storms and hurricanes to develop by mid-September," AccuWeather Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva said, adding that there will be less dry air, Saharan dust, and disruptive wind shear across much of the main development region in the Atlantic and the Gulf.
The Gulf has been virtually untouched this hurricane season, with short-lived Tropical Storm Barry in June being the only storm to move through the region this year. The absence of activity has allowed the water to become incredibly warm, priming the Gulf for fast-developing storms.
"If anything goes in there, it almost certainly will become a major hurricane," DaSilva said.
Warm water is the fuel for hurricanes, and the Gulf is like a giant bathtub at this point in the year with water temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s F.
"The ocean heat content, or the depth of warm ocean water in the Gulf and western Caribbean, is just below record high levels," DaSilva said. "This is extremely concerning." Read More
