News from the Global Watch Ministry:

On the Middle East Watch today, Lebanon spoke about a critical meeting in Washington, D.C. tomorrow, Tuesday, between the Ambassador of Israel and the Ambassador of Lebanon to the USA. USA will mediate. Lebanon’s goal is to have a cease-fire; Israel’s goal is to disarm Hezbollah. This is a historic meeting. Lebanon and Israel have not met since 1983, and the PLO was formed. Hezbollah is not Lebanon, they are a proxy of Iran and are trying to make Lebanon a state of Iran. That is their goal. This meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, is very critical. Please pray.

Please pray that God's will shall be done in this meeting. Thank you. (CHPP)

School District Reinstates Pledge of Allegiance After Dad Sues School
A father sued Maine’s Falmouth School Department in March after it failed to follow state law by not giving students the opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The lawsuit urges the Cumberland County Superior Court to issue an injunction requiring them to shift and provide a structured opportunity to recite the pledge.

“The lawsuit highlights a straightforward violation of Maine law and the Falmouth School Department’s own policy,” attorney Jack Baldacci told the Portland Press Herald. “My client, Christopher Hickey, is seeking to ensure compliance so that his son Clayton, and all Falmouth students, can benefit from this important civic tradition. We’re optimistic the court will act promptly to reinstate it.”

According to a Maine statute, a school administrative unit “shall allow every student enrolled in the school administrative unit the opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at some point during a school day in which students are required to attend. A school administrative unit may not require a student to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.”

Falmouth School Department Superintendent Steve Nolan told the Portland Press Herald that the district “remains committed to maintaining school practices that uphold the law, respect individual student rights, and foster a respectful learning environment for all students.”

“We are glad the district is now complying, and we hope this marks the beginning of a renewed commitment to the robust civic education every student deserves,” said attorney Jack Baldacci. (American Faith)  Read more here.
Father God we thank You for one parent's bold actions, in causing a school district's accountability to have children recite the 'Pledge of Allegiance' in Falmouth classrooms. We are grateful that students will be blessed by memorizing the pledge, helping to foster honor and love for both flag and country. We repent for the need to involve the court system for what Americans have simply taken for granted. Cause a multitude of parents to rise-up across our nation, to ensure their children also experience the same rights and privileges they themselves had in classrooms. Restore our schools so genuine love for God and America will flourish as we proclaim, ...'One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all'!  In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, we pray- Amen.

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God." (Revelation 21:3)

After talks fail, IDF planning for return to war, Trump mulls strikes on Iran — reports

All three major Hebrew TV networks reported that the IDF is gearing up for renewed conflict with Iran after the ceasefire talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic collapsed, in what appeared to be a coordinated leak by defense officials on Sunday.

The reported preparations came less than a week after a two-week ceasefire brokered by Pakistan went into effect, and a day after negotiations in Islamabad between the US and Iran failed to produce a deal to permanently end the war in the Middle East.

Earlier on Sunday, the Ynet news site reported that IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir instructed the military to move to a “heightened state of readiness” and to prepare for a resumption of hostilities with Iran.

Then Channel 12 news reported in the evening, without citing any sources, that the IDF was not only gearing up for renewed conflict with Iran, but also preparing for a potential Iranian surprise attack on Israel.

The Kan public broadcaster, meanwhile, cited a “senior defense official” as saying that “Israel is interested in renewing the war against Iran,” after the war ended “too early, without sufficient pressure being applied on Iran regarding the nuclear issue and ballistic missiles.” (Times of Israel) Read more here.

Lord, we pray for an increase in your supernatural wisdom for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, our president, our military, and our leaders not only in our nation, but all over the world to do what is right in this situation. We know that godly understanding is a strong and firm foundation and by your knowledge we will be successful and prosperous. We pray this for Israel, for our nation and for our president, in Jesus' name. Amen

Inside the U.S-Iran Negotiations: Iran Failed to Meet U.S. on 6 Key Red Lines

Iranian negotiators failed to meet the United States on six of its key red lines during talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, over the weekend, according to a U.S. official.

An official told Breitbart News that Iran did not agree to the United States’s red lines, which include ending all uranium enrichment; dismantling all major nuclear enrichment facilities; allowing for the retrieval of highly enriched uranium; accepting a broader peace, security, and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies; ending funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis; and fully opening the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage.

Vance understood, upon entering the discussions, that there was potential for enormous distrust and misperception, given that the United States and Iran have had minimal interaction over the past 50 or so years, according to an official.

Vance approached the discussions with the intention of reaching a mutual understanding of both sides’ goals and negotiating space, and by the end of 21 hours of negotiations, the sides exchanged proposals in a productive fashion, an official told Breitbart News. (Read more here)

Lord God, we continue to cover Iran, their leaders and their citizens in prayer that you would move upon their hearts by your Holy Spirit. We pray that they would turn from their wicked ways,  turn to you, and seek your knowledge and wisdom and understanding in all things. We continue to cover the Iranian citizens in prayer, Lord, that you will comfort them during this hard time, in Jesus' name, amen.

“I will give them a heart to know Me, [understanding fully] that I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.” (‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭24‬:‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

Report: China Planning to Deliver Air Defense Weapons to Iran

China is preparing to deliver new air defense systems to Iran within the next few weeks, a report citing unnamed U.S. intelligence sources says.

Drawing on “three people familiar with recent intelligence assessments,” CNN said that the delivery would be a “provocative move,” considering “Beijing said it helped broker the fragile cease fire” that paused the war between Iran and the United States earlier this week.

President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are also set to meet next month after the president’s previous plan to make the trip to China was rescheduled because of the conflict.

The intelligence appears to indicate that Iran may be using the ceasefire to replenish certain weapon systems with the “help of foreign partners,” the cable network reported.

There is evidence Beijing is working to route the shipments through third countries to hide their origin, two of the unnamed sources said.

Included in the shipment would be shoulder-fired anti-missile systems known as MANPADs, which would threaten U.S. military aircraft if the ceasefire ends and armed conflict resumes, the unnamed sources said.

President Trump indicated during a press conference earlier this week that the F-15 fighter jet shot down last week over Iran was shot down by just such a handheld weapon.

A spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in Washington refuted the intelligence assessment. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Lord God, we know that China is more than likely to manipulate Iran and to control a lot of of what is happening in the Middle East . So right now we take up the Sword of the Spirit and we just break their manipulation and control off of the Middle East. We sever their control and manipulation with the blood of Jesus, that it will have no more effect on the world, in Jesus' name, amen.

“But don’t let the passion of your emotions lead you to sin! Don’t let anger control you or be fuel for revenge, not for even a day. Don’t give the slanderous accuser, the Devil, an opportunity to manipulate you!” (‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭TPT‬‬)

Why the Church Must Recognize the “Unholy Alliance” Threat Now
Across the nation, a major shift is taking place—and most churches are not equipped to address it. We are entering an era of unprecedented spiritual and demographic transformation that is catching the body of Christ off guard.

The statistics paint a sobering picture:

  • 52%  Muslim population growth in North America over the last decade (Source: Pew Research)
  • 60%  of Americans claim Christianity—yet only 4% hold a Biblical worldview (Source: Barna)
  • 64%  of pastors feel limited in their ability to speak out on moral issues (Source: Barna)

This vacuum is being filled by false gospels—"Progressive Christianity,” universalism, and voices like Texas State Representative James Talarico, who recently claimed all 'religions of love' point to the same truth.

This is the “Unholy Alliance” in action: as the Church loses its theological conviction, it inadvertently clears the path for a paradoxical partnership between the secular Left and radical Islam. Though they hold diametrically opposed worldviews, they share a common target: the Judeo-Christian foundation of the West.

As a pastor for more than 52 years, the Church's unpreparedness for this cultural moment burdens me greatly. We cannot afford to ignore this any longer.

My new book An Unholy Alliance: How Progressivism Brought About an Islamist Invasion addresses this paradoxical partnership—from the dangerous “interfaith” movement infiltrating many churches to the “Free Palestine” movement and open-border advocacy.

As a boy growing up in Egypt under an Islamo-socialist regime, I watched my Christian community subjugated by Islamists. Now, I see that same spirit of submission creeping into the West—and too many people remain dangerously unaware, not only for this country, but for the Church at large.

Lord you warned us of this in the Book of Matthew where you said wide is the gate to destruction but narrow is the path to life. We break this antichrist spirit infiltrating the church. We pray the church would read their Bibles and hold fast to the truth that there is only one way and that is through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen and amen.

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matt 7:13-14)

Lawmakers put expulsion threats atop House agenda as return sets up high-stakes week
Reps Swalwell, Gonzales, Cherfilus-McCormick and Mills all face potential removal from the chamber

The push to forcibly remove multiple scandal-ridden members of Congress is picking up steam with several potential expulsion votes on deck this week.

Reps. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., and Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, are expected to face an immediate expulsion threat when the House returns from a two-week recess on Tuesday.

Swalwell, who dropped out of California’s 2026 gubernatorial race Sunday, is facing multiple sexual assault and misconduct allegations, including at least one involving a former staffer. The Manhattan district attorney’s office has also opened a criminal investigation into an incident that allegedly occurred in New York City.

Swalwell has repeatedly characterized the allegations as "false," though he acknowledged a lack of judgment on Sunday. He has pledged to vigorously defend himself.

Gonzales, who has admitted to having an affair with a staff member who later died by setting herself on fire, dropped his re-election bid in March after House GOP leadership called on him to suspend his campaign. He is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said over the weekend that she would introduce a resolution to expel Swalwell from the chamber if he does not resign. Meanwhile, Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez, D-N.M., is vowing to draft a measure that would expel Gonzales.

The female lawmakers have said they support expelling both men from the House of Representatives. A growing share of lawmakers in both parties appear to share that view.

"That vote comes to the floor, I will be voting yes on both measures," Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., said on NBC’s "Meet the Press" on Sunday. "These allegations are despicable, and they demean the integrity of Congress. These things are just completely unacceptable. And as far as I’m concerned, both gentlemen need to go home."

"I think that this is very important that we believe women and that we show people across the Capitol and across the country that we will not accept this kind of behavior," Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., also said. (Fox News) Read more here.

Lord God, we pray that your will be done in this situation. We pray that all of our lawmakers and leaders who represent our nation would act with character and integrity. We pray that only people that are righteous and stand for justice are elected into these leadership positions and that they choose to serve and follow you. We thank you that these two bills will now be before Congress when they return from their Spring Recess this week; and we ask that both be passed, in Jesus' name, amen.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Netanyahu backs US naval blockade on Strait of Hormuz following 'explosion in the negotiations'- i24NEWS

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu reaffirmed that military operations will continue, while voicing strong support for US President Donald Trump and his decision to impose a naval blockade on Iran.

Speaking during a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu highlighted what he described as “unprecedented” coordination between Israel and the United States, including daily communication with senior American officials.

He also revealed a recent conversation with U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who briefed him on the status of negotiations with Tehran. Netanyahu claimed talks broke down due to Iran violating commitments, particularly regarding maritime navigation. According to him, Washington is now demanding the dismantling of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles and a long-term halt to nuclear enrichment.

On the ground, Netanyahu said Israeli forces remain actively engaged, especially in southern Lebanon around Bint Jbeil, where operations aim to expand a “security zone” to reduce threats such as infiltrations and rocket fire. He praised the efforts of both regular troops and reservists involved in the fighting. (Read more)

2. Israel cancels school in Lebanon border towns ahead of expected escalation
- JNS

The Israel Defense Forces’ Home Front Command on Saturday night announced the suspension of all educational activities and restricted public gatherings in communities along the border with Lebanon.

The decision to close schools, including those operating in fortified buildings, followed an assessment that Iran-backed Hezbollah would intensify attacks on northern Israeli communities on Sunday and Monday, Channel 12 News reported.

The Home Front Command guidelines in the so-called “frontline areas” were also tightened to limit public gatherings to up to 50 people outdoors and 100 indoors, down from a previous cap of 200 people for indoor events. The restrictions had previously been relaxed on April 9 following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu rebukes Europe as Israel commemorates Holocaust in shadow of Iran war - Times of Israel

The premier castigated Europe on Monday, as Israel ushered in Holocaust Remembrance Day in a pre-recorded ceremony from Yad Vashem, amid ongoing hostilities with Iran and the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon.

In his speech, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Europe today is “afflicted by deep moral weakness,” and that Israel is now defending the continent, “which has forgotten so much since the Holocaust.”

He accused Europe of “losing control of its identity, of its values, of its responsibility to defend civilization against barbarism.” (Read more)

4. Erdogan: 'Just as we entered Libya, we can invade Israel - Israel Hayom

Threats or excuses? Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that if negotiations between the United States and Iran were not taking place, his country would "show Israel its place."

"On the day of the ceasefire, Israel killed hundreds of innocent Lebanese people. Netanyahu is blinded by blood and hatred. Had Pakistan not been mediating in the war between the US and Iran, we would have shown Israel its place," Erdogan said in a speech at a political event in Turkey.

Erdogan added: "Just as we entered Libya and Karabakh, we can enter Israel. There is no reason not to do it. It will require strength and unity." (Read more

5. Training in Be’eri: Preparing communities to prevent the next Oct. 7
- Israel National News

Days before Passover, as missiles continued to fall from Iran, Lebanon, and Yemen, heads of local security teams from across southern Israel gathered for an advanced Magen 48 training session in Be’eri-one of the communities most devastated on October 7, 2023.

Moving through burnt homes, volunteer security teams conducted realistic, scenario-based exercises designed to prepare them for future attacks. Many participants were not just trainees-they were survivors. They had faced Hamas terrorists, lost friends, and fought to defend their communities on that horrific day.

On that infamous Saturday morning, Ehud Dribben was among those who acted immediately. Without waiting to be called up, he got into his car with fellow fighters and drove south into the line of fire to save lives. In the days that followed, he spent over 100 days engaged in the fight against Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists.

From the horrors he witnessed, Dribben-who has spent three decades training special forces, law enforcement, and security personnel-founded Magen 48 with one clear objective: "Magen 48 was established to stop the next October 7th. I saw with my own eyes that communities with trained and prepared security teams survived. Those without them were overrun. My mission is to ensure that every town, city, and village in Israel is ready-so that next time, we will be prepared." (Read more

1. Western Wall reopens to the public after Iran ceasefire - JNS.org

The Western Wall in Jerusalem was reopened to the public on Thursday morning following a six-week closure amid the war with Iran.

“We wish all of the House of Israel a healthy summer and good tidings,” the foundation added.

The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday announced updated defensive guidelines following a situational assessment by the military’s Home Front Command in the wake of the ceasefire between the United States and Iran. (Read more)

2. US clearing out Strait of Hormuz, Trump claims as Iran threatens to attack unauthorized ships - Jerusalem Post

US Navy ships reportedly crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday afternoon as US-Iran ceasefire negotiations kicked off in Pakistan, though Iran denied the reports and threatened to attack any unauthorized ships in the strait.

Axios, citing a US official, reported that several US Navy ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz. According to the report, the move was not coordinated with the Iranian Navy and was the first time US Navy ships made such a move since the start of the war.

According to the Wall Street Journal, three US officials confirmed that two US Navy guided-missile destroyers passed through the strait without issue in what was described as a "freedom-of-navigation mission."

Minutes later, a senior Iranian military official denied the reported crossing of US vessels on Iranian government-owned state television.

Iranian media additionally released a warning that any US Military ship will be attacked within 30 minutes if it attempts to cross the Strait. According to State TV, a US vessel in the strait turned back after receiving the warning.

Axios reporter Barak Ravid disputed Iranian media claims that the ship turned back after the warning, stating that a senior US official informed him that the US had not received any such threats. (Read more)

3. Trump on Iran deal: No nuclear weapon - that's 99% of it - IsraelNationalNews

US President Donald Trump spoke to reporters on Friday, ahead of meetings that will take place on Saturday between American and Iranian delegations in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Asked whether Saturday’s meeting will be “one-and-done" or if he is open to further talks, the President replied, "I have to see what happens tomorrow. They've been talking for 47 years with other Presidents - and we're not doing much talking."

Trump was also asked what a good deal would look like from his perspective.

“No nuclear weapon, number one. I think it has already been regime change - we never had that as a criteria. No nuclear weapon - that is 99% of it," he said.

Trump also commented on the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has blocked since the start of the recent hostilities, and expressed confidence that it will reopen “fairly soon", noting that other countries are helping out in that regard. (Read more)

4. Russia and Ukraine agree to temporary Orthodox Easter truce - Christian Today

The Russian government has agreed to hold a ceasefire for the duration of Easter, which in the Orthodox calendar falls one week after the date celebrated in western Europe.

The Russian Orthodox Church uses the Julian Calendar, meaning that many Christian festivals are celebrated at different times to those churches which use the more common Gregorian calendar.

The ceasefire will last from 4pm local time on Saturday 11 April and last until Easter Sunday finishes. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that troops had been ordered to cease fire “in all directions”, although he warned that they were ready to deal with any “provocations” or “aggressive actions”.

Putin’s Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, has indicated that Ukraine will honour the ceasefire. Writing online, Zelensky said Ukraine was "ready for symmetrical steps".

"People need an Easter free from threats and real movement toward peace," Zelensky said, adding that he would be happy for the ceasefire to continue indefinitely after Easter. (Read more)

5. Two States Test a New Pro-Life Law - Christianity Today

Pro-lifers have just won legislative victories to restrict abortion pills in South Dakota and Mississippi. But will the laws work?

Nearly two out of every three abortions in America today use pills.

These “chemical abortions,” as they are often called, are especially popular in states that prohibit abortion clinics. Last month the Guttmacher Institute released survey results showing that in 2025, women in states with abortion bans were more likely to obtain abortions by ordering abortion pills through telehealth providers than by traveling out of state to obtain either a chemical or surgical abortion.

These numbers are why contemporary pro-life activists have made stemming the flood of abortion pills into pro-life states one of their chief causes. One of the most significant pro-life legislative campaigns this spring, for instance, which has the support of Students for Life Action, is to get conservative state legislatures to pass laws restricting the distribution of abortion pills. 6. ‘This is very real’: Surging gas prices drive inflation to highest level in 2 years - POLITICO

“President Trump has always been clear about short-term disruptions as a result of Operation Epic Fury, disruptions that the Administration has been diligently working to mitigate,” White House spokesperson Kush Desai posted on X shortly after the CPI release. “Although gas and energy prices are seeing volatility, prices of eggs, beef, prescription drugs, dairy, and other household essentials are falling or remain stable thanks to President Trump’s policies.”

The so-called core measure inflation — which strips out volatile food and energy costs — climbed at an annual rate of 2.6 percent last month, below the expectations of most economists but above the 2.5 percent increase notched in February. That’s a sign that Iran-related price increases have been largely contained to the energy sector, and it’s good news for Federal Reserve policymakers, who had signaled that rate increases may be necessary later this year.

“This is a very big jump to headline inflation, which will impact real incomes immediately. But from a policy point of view — and maybe a market point of view — there will be some relief that the core [seems] to be contained so far,” said Michael Metcalfe, the head of macro strategy at State Street Markets. “This doesn’t look like 2022.” (Read more)

Lord, we pray for the inflation prices that are affecting Americans.  We pray for relief from these rising prices.

The Daily Jot

It’s All About The Fire

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 13, 2026

Leviticus 9:1–11:47, the portion known as Shimini, follows seven days of priestly ordination. Moses had been serving as acting High Priest, guiding Aaron and his sons through each detail. Then came the eighth day, when everything shifted from instruction to action. Offerings were brought, and then it happened. Nadab and Avihu, sons of Aaron, stepped beyond what God had commanded and offered unauthorized incense in the Holy of Holies. Scripture calls it “strange fire.” The response was immediate, fire from the LORD consumed them. Aaron stood silent. No protest, no argument. Just the weight of holiness. The command followed that priests must not serve under the influence. God’s holiness is not casual business.

That moment with Nadab and Avihu cuts straight to the heart of how we approach God. Their mistake wasn’t ignorance, it was presumption. They knew the instructions, but chose their own way. That’s where things broke down. God had already defined how He was to be worshiped, and they introduced something of their own making into a place that demanded absolute obedience. The result was severe, but it wasn’t random. It was a clear line drawn. Those who serve Him are held to the standard He sets, not the one they prefer. There’s a warning here that still speaks today. Familiarity with God can never turn into casualness. The right posture is humility, obedience, and reverence. Anything less drifts into dangerous territory. When we lose respect for His holiness, we start bringing our own version of “fire,” and that never ends well. Read More

Chip Roy introduces legislation to label CAIR as a 'specially designated global terrorist'
Texas GOP Rep. Chip Roy introduced a bill Thursday that seeks to designate the Council on American Islamic Relations and its affiliates as specially designated global terrorists and revoke its nonprofit status.
The legislation seeks to label CAIR as a Hamas affiliate and prohibit Americans from dealing with the organization, which is considered one of the largest Muslim Civil Rights advocacy groups in the country.
A summary of the legislation shared with the Daily Signal claims CAIR has ties to multiple terrorist organizations, including Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and acts under the guise of a nonprofit.
"CAIR is not some innocent 501(c)(3) organization—they facilitate terrorism while operating under the guise of a nonprofit,” Roy told The Daily Signal. “This bill makes it clear: their assets must be frozen, their tax-exempt status revoked, and all Americans should be prohibited from supporting them.
"No organization that aids terrorism should financially benefit from it, especially on U.S. soil," he added. (Just the news) Read more here.
Lord, this organization has been infiltrating Christian churches, governments, and political parties by deception. We pray for a move of repentance and truth to help all Americans understand the agenda of all false prophets.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)
House Democrats' resolution to halt Trump's actions in Iran fails
Democratic resolution that would have halted the conflict in Iran was defeated Thursday when Chris Smith, R-N.J., closed the session in which House members would have voted on the measure.
Lawmakers are on a two-week spring recess, but Maryland Rep. Glenn Ivey and other Democrats held a "pro forma" session, hoping to pass the resolution by unanimous consent, NBC News reported.
The effort followed Trump's statement in the lead up to the deadline for negotiations with Iran, where Trump said "a whole civilization will die tonight."
Smith gaveled out of the session without calling on Ivey, which solicited howls and cries of "Shame" from Democrats. (Just the News) Read more here.
Lord, we thank You that this resolution failed yet again. We pray that no subterfuge be allowed to cause problems for the Trump administration. Let only truth and Your perfect will for America be forwarded.

Trump Reverses Course on China, Worrying National Security Experts

As a planned May summit between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping approaches, the Trump administration in recent months has notably reversed course on its hawkish approach toward the communist regime by rolling back planned tariffs and investigations into hackers, as well as approving Chinese investments in sensitive technology and softening critical rhetoric. Experts say the strategy could endanger U.S. national security.

A Wall Street Journal report published Thursday noted that the White House is making a concerted effort to walk back its former aggressive stance toward Beijing that characterized the first Trump administration. The pattern emerged in earnest after Trump’s meeting with Xi last October in South Korea, with the administration announcing a pause on several tariffs on key Chinese imports, stopping “plans to penalize Chinese companies determined to be security risks to the U.S.,” reversing plans to impose sanctions on China’s Ministry of State Security after the communist spy agency hacked into U.S. telecom networks, and allowing Beijing to purchase advanced AI-powered microchips that could further its military capabilities.

In addition, the White House has ordered administration officials to “tone down their comments on China,” with WSJ reporting that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has notified his staff that they must get “his signoff for any China-related actions.”

The about-face has “alarmed some of Trump’s own national security aides” and is particularly noteworthy for how much the actions clash with the administration’s former strategy, which was marked by determined counter-espionage efforts, the sanctioning of Chinese tech companies, and the president calling the communist regime “antithetical to U.S. values and interests.” Observers say that the new approach is focused on laying the groundwork for a summit between Trump and Xi that will take place in China on May 14-15. A revised National Defense Strategy document published in January declared that “President Trump seeks a stable peace, fair trade, and respectful relations with China.” (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

Father, we pray that You will hover over President Trump, imbuing him with Your wisdom and knowledge. Let no plans of our adversary be allowed in the President's trip to China, and may Your truth permeate his thoughts. He has often remarked that he has a good relationship with Xi JinPing, so we are asking that  the actions he does at his meeting be advantageous to the United States and not to China. Whether or not the President has actually "reversed" his stand is known only to You.

He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;

Discovery at Monticello reveals construction secrets Thomas Jefferson left out of maps and letters

Archaeologists have uncovered a previously unknown remnant of Thomas Jefferson's era at Monticello: a brick kiln used to build his home.

The kiln was recently found on the east side of the Founding Father's home amid an excavation that began in March, officials said.

Monticello historians believe it dates back to the early 1770s — some time before Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

It was part of the construction of Monticello I, the first version of Jefferson's home.

The current structure reflects a later rebuild and expansion completed after his time in France, after 1789.

Photos from the site show researchers working around a rectangular dig at Monticello, exposing evenly spaced brick channels and revealing several bricks stamped with initials.

The kiln was a large, temporary oven used to harden bricks, said Crystal O'Connor, manager of archaeological field research at Monticello. (Fox News) Read More

The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
