Trump’s DC beautification push wins rare Dem praise
as president snaps landmarks back to life

Democrats are offering rare praise to President Donald Trump as his push to revitalize Washington, D.C., ahead of the semiquincentennial brings neglected landmarks back to life through various restoration projects. "Cannot believe it's taken this long, but this truly makes me so incredibly happy to see," wrote ActBlue communications strategist Carter Christensen on X in reaction to the Meridian Hill Park fountain flowing once again after years of neglect – one of a handful of social media messages celebrating the update.
Construction and landscaping projects across Washington, D.C., have accelerated in recent months as the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday in July, and follow Trump's larger effort to beautify the city and lower its crime trends. As city fountains turned back on earlier this week, Democrats offered praise to see the city snap back to life. "Best thing this administration has done and it's not even close," vice president of liberal think tank, Searchlight Institute, Tré Easton said on X Tuesday.
The Meridian Hill Park fountain reopened at the end of April after repairs to cracks in the walls and a revamped landscape. The 13-basin cascading fountain, one of the longest in North America, had sat dry after the National Park Service closed the park’s lower level for renovations in 2020. New fountains in Lafayette Park, located in downtown D.C., were also turned on for the first time. "Can unequivocally say: all the fountains in the nation's capital should work and I'm glad the Trump people got this done," wrote another Democrat strategist on X. (Fox News)

Continue to pour Your favor upon him in all his efforts. We celebrate deserved praise across the aisle for his beautification plans, preparing our country for the coming 250th Anniversary. In Jesus Name we declare these 'restoration projects' are a prophetic action, not only for reestablishing needed 'physical repair' but also 'spiritual restoration', as order and new life are brought forth. We thank You Abba for blessing our nation with Donald John Trump, a strong Leader who is known for his faithful actions in accomplishing promises he has made! 'God protected him': Franklin Graham tells of his experience at White House Correspondents Dinner with Trump

Well-known evangelical leader Franklin Graham says he was chatting with the British ambassador's wife Saturday at the White House Correspondents' Dinner when he heard what sounded like "a tray of food had dropped."
That sound, of course, was gunfire by suspect Cole Allen as he attempted to elude Secret Service agents on the floor above the ballroom where the event took place.
Next, says Graham, he witnessed FBI agents "leaping over tables" and running through the room.
"I didn't sense danger," Graham told journalist Todd Starnes on his radio show Tuesday. "A lot of people jumped under tables. I just thought, I'm gonna watch and see what happens."
Continued Graham, "I'm just thankful to God the president wasn't hurt." Read more

National Trust Says It Won't Drop Ballroom Lawsuit
|

The National Trust for Historic Preservation says it won't drop its lawsuit challenging President Donald Trump's White House ballroom project following a request by the Department of Justice to withdraw the complaint after shots rang out at Saturday's White House Correspondents' Association dinner.
"We are not planning to voluntarily dismiss our lawsuit, which endangers no one and which respectfully asks the Administration to follow the law," said a statement from Carol Quillen, the head of the trust.
Alongside Trump, Vice President JD Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth — who are in the presidential line of succession in that order — attended the dinner.
Assistant Attorney General Todd Blanche on Sunday sent a letter to the group saying the lawsuit "puts the lives of the President, his family, and his staff at grave risk. I hope yesterday's narrow miss will help you finally realize the folly of a lawsuit that literally servers no purpose except to stop President Trump no matter the cost.

Holy One, the challenges, obstacles and hostilities that our President and his people have been facing for so long are so blatantly hate-filled and we pray for the goodness of God to overwhelm the haters. We know that the darkness cannot stand in the presence of Your light, so we ask that the individuals involved in advancing this costly lawsuit against our nation would be troubled by Your righteousness in dreams, visions and encounters, drawing them to repent, in Jesus's name. We pray for the ballroom to continue and that this lawsuit has no further standing and is dropped immediately, in Jesus's name.

Watchdog Report: Teachers’ Unions Pour More Than $1 Billion into Left-Wing Causes
|
|
A watchdog group released a pair of reports exposing how teachers’ unions across the United States have funneled more than $1 billion into left-wing political causes over the past decade.
Research from Defending Education reveals that national teachers’ unions alone appear to have poured approximately $669 million toward left-wing causes, PACs, organizations, and campaigns since 2015, Fox News first reported. When including state and local affiliates, the figure skyrockets to more than $1 billion in total political spending.
The report tracks political spending from the two largest teachers’ unions in the U.S., the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), as well as their state-level affiliates. The report draws its findings from federal filings and campaign finance records.
Rhyen Staley, Defending Education’s research director, told the outlet that these teachers’ unions “are a political machine.”
Additionally, unions funded various left-wing causes, like climate change initiatives and ballot campaigns against school choice.
According to Defending Education, the unions have directed money toward left-wing groups like Color of Change + PAC, Indivisible, National Center for Transgender Equality, Planned Parenthood, Sixteen Thirty Fund, New Venture Fund, and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Read more

Thank You Father for removing the veil of secrecy that has allowed the teacher's unions to financially support and promote such unrighteous agendas and organizations for at least the last ten years. This has been done using the resources demanded from teachers in our public schools, which is so revelatory. Clearly from the head down to our children's teachers, the education institutions need transformation for righteousness and godliness, in Jesus's name. We pray for a strong, concerted effort in the natural and spiritual arena to bring these union programs into submission to honest, moral and Constitutional leadership, governance and teaching, in Jesus's name.
"All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake." (Isaiah 54:13-15)

Huge win: Supreme Court greenlights Texas redistricting, giving up to FIVE extra Republican seats in 2026 midterms
|

The Supreme Court Monday reversed a lower court decision that had invalidated a Republican effort in Texas to redraw congressional districts, meaning the new map can be used in this year's midterm elections.
The ruling involves a 2025 plan that will likely give the GOP five more U.S. House members – at the expense of the Democrats.
The justices stated in the ruling, simply, "We reverse the District Court's judgment."
Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented without opinion. Read more

Grand jury indicts ex-FBI boss James Comey on charges related to photo alleged to threaten Trump
|

A federal grand jury in North Carolina on Tuesday indicted former FBI Director James Comey on charges related to his posting of a photo of shells on a beach with the inscription "86-47" that prosecutors alleged was a threat to President Donald Trump.
It is expected that one of the charges will fall under a statute that prohibits a person from "knowingly and willfully deposits for conveyance in the mail or for a delivery from any post office or by any letter carrier any letter, paper, writing, print, missive, or document containing any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, the President-elect, the Vice President." Thank You for this indictment, Mighty God. It is high time that high level officials are held accountable for their words and actions against the life of our president and other key leaders. We pray for this indictment to hold and that we would see James Comey charged with threatening the life of the President, in Jesus's name. We call for justice to prevail and that this is the first of many prosecutions against those who are shouting "fire-in-the-theater" style accusations that stir up and inflame unstable or angry people to act against the lives of citizens in our nation's government, in Jesus's name.
"For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed–a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: 'The righteous will live by faith.' 1. Lapid said willing to drop to third spot on ticket with Bennett if Eisenkot joins

Opposition Leader Yair Lapid told his political ally Naftali Bennett on Tuesday that he was willing to take third place, rather than second, on their joint electoral slate if it would help secure a broader merger with Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot, a source close to Lapid said.
On Sunday evening, Lapid and Bennett announced that they were uniting their two parties into a combined ticket called “Together – Led by Bennett.”

2. Israel: President's Office invites parties for talks to explore plea deal options in Netanyahu case - i24 News
The legal adviser to Israeli President Herzog, Attorney Michal Tzuk, has formally invited the parties involved in the legal cases of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to enter negotiations aimed at reaching potential agreements.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the President’s Office said the initiative is intended to explore the possibility of advancing understandings between the sides, describing the move as a preliminary step before any consideration of a presidential pardon request.
“This process is meant to examine the possibility of promoting agreements and constitutes only an initial stage before the president holds a discussion on the pardon request itself,” the statement read. The parties were urged to attend the talks “as soon as possible, with an open heart and in good faith.”
Officials also clarified that agreeing to participate in the discussions does not imply consent to any legal position or outcome currently under dispute in court. (Read more)

3. Hezbollah drone strike wounds two IDF soldiers, one seriously - JNS
Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were wounded, one seriously, by a Hezbollah drone in Southern Lebanon on Monday, the military said on Tuesday.
The casualties were evacuated to hospital and their families were notified, according to the statement. The latest attack “constitutes a violation of the ceasefire understandings by the Hezbollah terrorist organization,” added the IDF.
The Iranian-backed terror group throughout the day on Monday launched multiple explosive-laden UAVs toward troops in Southern Lebanon, according to the military. No injuries were reported in these incidents.
On Tuesday morning, the army said it had launched interceptors at two “suspicious aerial targets” in areas where soldiers were operating in Lebanon, adding that the results of the interception were “under review.” (Read more)

4. Israel’s ultimatum for a deal in Lebanon - Israel National News
Israel is increasing pressure on the mediators and the Lebanese government. Sources in Jerusalem are clarifying that the time remaining until mid-May - the date to which the ceasefire has been extended - is the “last window of opportunity" to reach a political agreement.
A senior Israeli official told Kan News, “We cannot wait forever. We are giving two more weeks for negotiations, and that’s it."
If no breakthrough is achieved, Israel is preparing to return to high-intensity fighting and intensive operations against the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration is working vigorously behind the scenes and trying to create a diplomatic “victory image" in the form of a direct meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. Despite the American aspiration, both sides are expressing considerable skepticism about the feasibility of such a meeting at the present time, due to the political complexity and threats from Hezbollah. Against the backdrop of preparations for negotiations with Israel, Lebanese newspaper Nidaa al-Watan reported that Saudi Arabia was working to coordinate positions among Lebanon's three top leaders: President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
According to the report, the intention is to hold a trilateral meeting between them Wednesday and issue a joint statement on the latest developments.

It is clear the only force stronger than hate is love and You are love and we are Yours. We pray for many lessons to be learned from this significantly vulnerable event and invite You to continue to be the most honored guest at every occasion. Father, we know that the potential for incredible horror is very real and we thank You for using the many elements of law enforcement, including the Secret Service and many others in the DHS are still not being paid. We pray for there to be a groundswell of change for people who are engaged with the affairs of this nation to vote for righteous leaders who will fund and steward our government well, in Jesus's name. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) attacked White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt for criticizing Democrats for their violent rhetoric after a shooting took place in the vicinity of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton Hotel.
During a press conference on Monday, Jeffries labeled Leavitt a “stone-cold liar,” and accused her of reading “talking points” and being critical of words Democrats had said.
“I know you said you stand by your comment, but at the same time you have been a subject of threats as well, so, with respect to this comment about maximum warfare, even if it’s about redistricting, why not tone down the language here, in this moment?” a reporter asked.
“I think that what’s interesting to me, as you’ve pointed out, is that the so-called White House press secretary, who’s a disgrace, she’s a stone-cold liar, had the nerve to stand up there and read talking points, being critical of statements — all taken out of context, that Democrats have made,” Jeffries said. 4. Dan Bongino reveals how he trapped 'snakes' inside FBI to stop media leaks - Fox News
Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has revealed a divide within the agency he helped lead, claiming the bureau is split between agents he views as effective and others he described as "snakes."
Bongino joined the "Hang Out with Sean Hannity" podcast to discuss his time at the FBI and the internal roadblocks he and FBI Director Kash Patel encountered.
"There were two FBIs trying to help you solve the A, B and C problems, and that's FBI one and FBI two," Bongino said in the episode released Tuesday.
He explained that half of the bureau consists of agents he felt "honored" to be in the room with, including those working in Violent Crimes Against Children (VCAC) and violent crime fugitive task forces. But on the other side of the FBI, Bongino had a different view.
"And then you had this other FBI," Bongino said, adding, "which was populated with, to say, unfortunately, ‘snakes’ is being nice."
He said it was difficult for him and Patel to determine which agents fit each category, noting it was not "always obvious." He added they sometimes relied on outside sources to vet agents, but those efforts were not always accurate. Read more

5. FBI raids childcare facilities in Minneapolis, more than 20 locations targeted - Just The News
Federal Bureau of Investigation officers reportedly raided over 20 childcare facilities in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
The raid is being reported by Fox News and CBS News, based on information from sources.
The actions are part of an extensive investigation into fraud by businesses primarily owned by Somalis.
"Today the FBI with federal, state and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation," a Justice Department spokesperson to Fox.

We pray for more than enough evidence to prosecute everyone involved in this criminal activity from the least to the greatest and a recovery of monies, in Jesus name. Holy King, we also know that there is far too much corruption within the judicial system – attorneys, judges, jury pools – so we bind the enemy from prospering through any of them in Jesus's name and we declare complete victory for justice and righteousness in this state and nation, for the glory of God on His throne. Both President Donald Trump and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass came out of meetings in April expressing optimism that the federal government will come to the aid of the feckless and duplicitous mayor and attempt to help further jumpstart the recovery of the Palisades after the devastating 2025 fire wiped out just about everything. The Palisades fire destroyed 23,448 acres of land and 6,837 structures. A total of 5,942 of those structures were single-family homes.
Real progress has been slow. Thanks to an impossible permitting process and a gauntlet of California red tape, in large swaths of the Palisades, nothing has been done. Still, that hasn’t stopped Bass, Newsom, and other Democrats from asking for billions in federal money.
Reports are that Elle [whistleblower] called Bass on Jan. 4, 2025, warning her about the risks tied to the weather, the wind, and dry conditions. In the call, Alle said he tried to convince Bass not to leave for Africa, but in the secretly recorded audio, she told Elle she had no intention of canceling her trip in spite of all his warnings.
To be sure, we have not been able to verify with 100% certainty the validity of this leaked audio, but it is worth noting that neither Bass nor her office has disputed the call’s authenticity and the content of the audio. Read More

Mighty God, we can see that something dark and evil took place in this horrific fire and we pray for it to be exposed. May there be recompense for all people involved and the unreasonable regulations wiped out so there would be a restoration of homes and lands, in the name of Jesus. May this mayor be held responsible for the deeds she has committed or neglected, which results in her repentance. We also ask Father that You would protect the whistleblower and all others who are working to compel justice for these families. Amen.

The headlines coming out of Iran read like a warning, not just for a region, but for the world. A regime that fears its own people will always move to control them, and the first step is disarmament, followed closely by intimidation, and when necessary, outright slaughter. Reports now confirm what many suspected: thousands of Iranian citizens were killed to crush dissent, with insiders suggesting the real death toll far exceeds official numbers. That’s what happens when power is concentrated in the hands of a few who answer to no one. History has already shown the pattern. When governments strip people of their ability to resist, they don’t create order, they create submission enforced by fear, and often sealed with blood.
The 20th century offers a grim ledger. Communist regimes, driven by centralized control and enforced ideology, were responsible for over 100 million deaths. That number isn’t abstract, it represents fathers, mothers, children, erased in the name of power. These systems elevate control above conscience and replace truth with propaganda. Whether under communist banners or radical Islamist regimes, the outcome looks the same: dissent is crushed, opposition is eliminated, and human life becomes expendable. Archaeologists pinpointed the exact location of the so-called "Spanish Roanoke," a doomed colony that collapsed within years — after they uncovered a single coin that helped confirm the site.
A group of Chilean researchers recently announced the discovery of the exact location of Rey Don Felipe, later known as Port Famine, along the Strait of Magellan in Chilean Patagonia.
The colony was established by King Philip II of Spain in 1584 in an effort to control the strait, a critical passage between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
But within three years, the site was found abandoned and its colonists dead — earning the name Port Famine.
Using metal detection and high-precision geolocation, researchers tracked variations in signal strength across the ground to pinpoint where to dig.
There, they unearthed a coin — a significant find because it was recovered in situ, meaning exactly where it was originally placed.
The find was consistent with historical accounts describing a coin placed as part of a founding ritual.
"We initially detected a very strong signal, but we didn’t know what it was," Francisco Garrido, an archaeologist at Chile's National Museum of Natural History, said in a press release. (Fox News) Read More
