Trump Strengthens Religious Liberty for Parental Rights
|

|
Last week, the U.S. Department of Justice released a memo directing the executive branch to expand religious liberty protections in the areas of parental rights and religious autonomy to broadly protect religious exercise.
The guidance memo, titled “Federal Law Protections for Religious Liberty,” is the first revision to such guidance since 2017. The new guidelines reflect significant U.S. Supreme Court rulings from the last nine years involving the First Amendment, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, Title VII, and stipulates policy on the church autonomy doctrine, neutrality, and parental rights.
“Religious liberty is not merely a right to personal religious beliefs or even to worship in a particular place,” reads the memo. “It also encompasses religious observance and practice as displayed in a person’s daily life. Except in the narrowest circumstances, no one should be forced to choose between living out his or her faith and complying with the law.”
The referenced Supreme Court rulings included Mahmoud v. Taylor, which favored parents’ ability to opt their children out of LGBT-themed instruction on religious grounds; Carson v. Makin where a Maine tuition program could not exclude religious schools; Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, where a high school football coach was found to be unlawfully fired for silent on-field prayers; and Our Lady of Guadalupe Sch. v. Morrissey-Berru, which sided with a faith-based school in making hiring decisions without government interference. (Life News) Read More Here |

Trump Says Deal Reached to Disarm Hamas,
Israeli Support for Plan Remains Uncertain

U.S. President Donald Trump said talks in Cairo between mediators and Hamas leaders on Thursday have led to a phased disarmament agreement in Gaza, but a Hamas official described the deal as a draft and U.S. officials said Israel was skeptical the militant Palestinian group would surrender its weapons.
"Today, the Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza," Trump said in a social media post, adding that the disarmament would come in phases. "This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY."
The agreement was a critical step towards Gaza being governed by a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the so-called Board of Peace, Trump said. "At the same time, Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks," he added.
The Israeli embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Trump's announcement.
A Hamas source told Reuters the "draft agreement" stipulates that heavy weapons would only be stored and kept under the control of a Palestinian administration, and the weapons cannot be transferred to Israel. (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

Former Clinton official warns 'radical' socialist takeover will 'destroy' the Democratic Party if unchecked
|
|
A lifelong Democrat and former Clinton administration official issued a warning to his party, arguing that radical socialist factions will "destroy" the Democratic Party if leadership fails to act.
Speaking on "Fox & Friends" Tuesday, Jamie Metzl called on Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and party leaders to stand against the threat posed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
"The DSA is a radical extremist movement trying to take over the Democratic Party," Metzl said. "They want to seize the means of production. They want to eradicate police and prisons. They have a terrible message of discord and hate. (Fox News) Read more here.

Liberal court stuns with ruling that hands Trump major immigration win
|
|
A liberal-led federal appeals court handed President Donald Trump two immigration victories Wednesday, reversing separate district court orders that had delayed the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for migrants from South Sudan and Ethiopia.
The judgments from the First Circuit Court of Appeals came after U.S. District Judges Brian Murphy and Patti Saris issued back-to-back orders temporarily blocking the Trump administration's termination of TPS for Ethiopia and South Sudan, respectively, late last week. The rulings drew sharp criticism from legal experts and Trump administration officials, who called the judges "rogue" and argued their decisions defied the Supreme Court.

US investigating if Iran was behind cyberattack on water systems in 7 states, including Minnesota
|
|
Malicious cyber activity affected technology at water systems in at least seven states this week, including Minnesota, forcing some utilities to switch to manual operations as state and federal authorities dig into who is behind the attack, CBS News has learned.
Investigators are probing to determine whether the activity is the work of Iranian hackers, according to U.S. officials and sources familiar with the incident. Sources cautioned that since they had not definitively attributed the attack, their assessment could change as additional technical evidence is collected. They are also probing whether the actor could have attempted to appear Iran-based as a way of stirring the pot amid the ongoing U.S. conflict with Iran.
The FBI reported incidents in "at least seven states" but didn't identify them.
CBS News has learned more than 30 community water systems across Minnesota were affected. Minnesota and the federal government have not publicly attributed the activity to a particular actor.
Even as the investigation continues, President Trump said Friday that he doesn't think Iran is to blame. Instead, he pointed the finger at Minnesota and its Democratic governor, Tim Walz, who is no stranger to criticism from the president.
"I think that Minnesota is behind it," Mr. Trump said during a televised Cabinet meeting at Camp David. "You know who's behind it? Minnesota. Because they're grossly incompetent. I think the governor's behind it. I don't think there was an Iranian cyberattack. I think that Minnesota ought to get its act together."
"They like to say, 'Oh, it was Iran.' Iran should be so lucky. Iran's got bigger problems than worrying about Minnesota," the president said. (MSN.com) Read more here.

1. IDF destroys terror tunnels in Beaufort with about 700 tons of explosives

The IDF destroyed on Thursday night, shortly after midnight, terror tunnels in the Beaufort region of Southern Lebanon.
In a joint statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed that the underground infrastructure formed a central component of Hezbollah's plan to invade Israeli communities in the Galilee.
According to the release, the tunnels were blown up using approximately 700 tons of explosives as part of the IDF's ongoing operations to eradicate Hezbollah's terror infrastructure in Southern Lebanon. (Read more)

2. 'There will be no Israeli withdrawal from the yellow line before Hamas is disarmed,' Israeli official tells i24NEWS - i24 News
One of the sources familiar with the negotiations told i24NEWS that the talks taking place in Cairo between Hamas and the mediators are not just another routine round of discussions, but rather "a meeting intended to reach a final decision and conclude a comprehensive agreement." Meanwhile, the Israeli official said that the issue of Gaza and Hamas disarmament did not come up at all during the Trump-Netanyahu meeting, emphasizing that the currently reported 15-point plan for Gaza doesn't provide a satisfactory response, adding that "there will be no Israeli withdrawal from the yellow line before Hamas is disarmed and the Gaza Strip is demilitarized."
From the perspective of the mediators and the Board of Peace, the condition for any agreement is unequivocal and leaves no room for compromise: it will not be acceptable for only some of the tunnels to be dismantled or only part of the weapons to be surrendered. A complete and total dismantling of all terrorist infrastructure is required.
Senior official involved in the process of implementing the Trump plan for Gaza reported that the discussions in Cairo are progressing based on a detailed road map. Under the proposal, authority would be gradually transferred to a technocratic government, alongside the comprehensive dismantling and destruction of all tunnels, weapons depots, and weapons production facilities throughout the Gaza Strip. 3. More than 100 IDF soldiers go AWOL, leaving weapons behind - Israel Hayom
An unusual and serious incident occurred in the Israel Defense Forces on Thursday, when dozens of soldiers and commanders from Givati Brigade's Tsavar Battalion left the Sde Teiman base without authorization, becoming absent without leave (AWOL), according to information obtained by Israel Hayom. Preliminary figures indicate that more than 100 soldiers took part in the move, which appeared to have been relatively coordinated.
According to available details, the decision followed a heated incident involving the battalion commander, who broke the soldiers' "pugim," metal or wooden boards bearing morale-boosting slogans associated with individual platoons and companies. Some of the soldiers viewed the act as a direct affront to the unit's spirit and identity.
Following the incident, the soldiers and commanders decided to leave the base with only their personal belongings, without weapons or other military equipment. According to eyewitness accounts, many of them headed home. (Read more)

5. Bret Stephens Warns Jewish Extremist Violence Poses ‘Direct Threat’ to Israel

Prominent New York Times columnist Bret Stephens, a vocal longtime supporter of Israel, sharply condemned extremist violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, arguing that attacks by Jewish extremists threaten Israel’s security, international standing, and moral credibility.

1. Trump Floats Temporarily Pulling Blanche’s Nomination - The Epoch Times
President Donald Trump said on July 30 that he is willing to temporarily withdraw his nomination of Todd Blanche to be attorney general until next year, if two Republican senators continue to withhold their support.
Blanche’s nomination has been held up in the Senate Judiciary Committee after Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) said they might not support bringing it to the floor for a full vote. Their two votes are necessary for the nomination to advance.
Both Tillis and Cornyn lost their bid for reelection earlier this year after Trump endorsed their opponents during the primaries. He now intends to wait them out, Trump said.
“I have no objection to temporarily withdrawing Todd’s name, if they do not do the right thing, and putting him back after Cornyn and Tillis are out of office,” he said in a Truth Social post.
In the meantime, Blanche will remain the acting head of the Department of Justice (DOJ), he said.
Cornyn said he wouldn’t back Blanche’s nomination because of concerns over the DOJ’s settlement of a lawsuit that Trump filed after an IRS employee leaked his tax returns.

2. Massachusetts Senate Passes Bill to Allow Late-Term Abortions, Sends to Governor’s Desk- Breitbart
The Democrat-dominated Massachusetts state Senate passed a late-term abortion bill on Friday and sent it to Gov. Maura Healey’s (D) desk for approval.
The bill, called “An Act Prioritizing Patient Access to Care” or H.5595, would ultimately allow unborn babies to be aborted throughout pregnancy in the state and would strike down the state’s current 24-week limit, which has exceptions for the life of the mother and a deadly fetal diagnosis. Under the bill, doctors would have the discretion to decide whether or not to perform a late-term abortion, the Washington Post reported.
“While this legislation prioritizes access, it does not prioritize a woman’s safety,” Myrna Maloney Flynn, president of Massachusetts Citizens for Life, said in a video encouraging supporters to tell lawmakers to vote against the bill.
If Healey signs the law, Massachusetts will become one of nearly a dozen places in the U.S. that allows abortions throughout pregnancy. Alaska, Vermont, Oregon, New Mexico, Colorado, Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington, DC, have no gestational limits on abortion, according to Abortion Finder.
The state House passed the bill last week 119-33. State Rep. Alyson Sullivan-Almeida (R) said after the vote that it was a “very sad day in the commonwealth of Massachusetts.”

Two prominent Democratic figures with deep ties to the Clinton and Obama administrations publicly criticized New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani this week, with former Clinton adviser Mark Penn attacking the mayor's proposed property tax plan while former Obama White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel recounted what he described as a private conversation in which he challenged Mamdani's rhetoric on Israel.

4. Five Things Republicans Have Going for Them Headed into the Midterms- The Washington Stand
To hear the mainstream media tell it, the November elections are just a formality. Republicans, bogged down by the economy, Donald Trump’s sagging approval ratings, the Iran war, and their base’s general malaise, don’t stand a chance, they insist. But the Left’s echo chamber — while correct on the historical trends for the party in power — has one goal, and one goal only: deflate the Right at all costs. But is the GOP’s obituary already written, or is there hope of a conservative comeback? Here are five areas where the president’s party might have an unexpected edge.
1. Fundraising
One of the things that surprised House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) most about his new job in 2023 was the amount of time he was expected to devote to raising money. At one point, Punchbowl News reported, the Louisianan balked at the duty, declaring that the Founding Fathers “didn’t intend for the speaker of the House to be the primary fundraiser of the party.” But, as reporter Jake Sherman pointed out, “[T]hey also couldn’t have foreseen that the House would be a billion-dollar battleground every two years.”
Whether or not he wanted to do it, this speaker has more than excelled at it — smashing records for the GOP and building an impressive war chest heading into the bloodiest battle he’s experienced at the helm. By 2025, he’d even set a Republican high-water mark, the most ever raised by a speaker in a single year. Facing strong headwinds, the Louisianan’s shocking talent forism that s flooding through raking in cash will be a major comfort to his vulnerable members. Between April and June of this year, he socked away another $19.1 million for a total of more than $135 million during this election cycle. A half-million of that has gone to two dozen “battleground incumbents,” and his sidekick, Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), has pumped $55 million into the chamber’s coffers. (Read more)

5. White House Blames Spain’s ‘Far-Left Globalist Policies’ as Migrants Overrun Ceuta- Breitbart
The White House blamed the left-wing policies of Spain’s socialist prime minister Pedro Sánchez for opening the door to more than 60,000 migrants who flooded into the Spanish town of Ceuta from Morocco this week.
“President Trump has long warned Europe what would happen if they continue to implement far-left, globalist policies, including enabling mass migration,” White House deputy press secretary Anna Kelly told Fox News on Thursday.
“Spain and other countries who have adopted this destructive philosophy should immediately reverse course or risk their own demise,” she advised.
“You know I saw Spain yesterday, and I watched the catastrophe that took place. It looks like an invasion of a country by hundreds of thousands of people,” President Donald Trump said on Friday during a cabinet meeting at Camp David.

Help them to seek Your Face, to follow Your ways and not the lies that have created such a dangerous situation. We also pray that You will prevent this same situation from happening here in America.

6: Exclusive: Feds Charge Several Foreign Nationals for Voting in Last Three Elections- Breitbart
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is cracking down on foreign nationals voting in New Jersey, Breitbart News has learned. This month, Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D) admitted that a so-called “software error” allowed thousands of foreign nationals to register to vote in the state, with hundreds voting in elections since 2023.
On Friday, DHS officials said investigations have led to charges against four foreign nationals in New Jersey who voted in elections over the last six years.
“These aliens illegally voted in American elections,” the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Lauren Bis said. “New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill confirmed thousands of non-citizens are registered to vote in New Jersey. Declassified: China Stole 220 Million Americans’ Voter Registration Records.
The White House Government Transparency Task Force released declassified intelligence on July 30 confirming that China and its proxies acquired as many as 220 million Americans’ voter registration records — including non-publicly available data that the Intelligence Community first flagged in 2022 when it identified Chinese Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) actors targeting U.S. voter infrastructure. The declassified documents reveal that adversaries holding this data could alter voter rolls to prevent individuals or entire groups from casting ballots, trigger mass Election Day delays, or force the widespread use of provisional ballots to sow confusion. The data could also be used to build tailored foreign interference campaigns targeting specific voter populations. Four agencies — the ODNI, NSA, CIA, and DHS — formally approved the factual statements President Trump delivered in his July 16 speech on election integrity, representing a rare and significant intelligence community coordination on a public release. The revelations add overwhelming urgency to passage of the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to register to vote nationwide.

Police identified the man accused of opening fire Saturday at a recently opened In-N-Out Burger location in Twin Falls, Idaho, revealing he was subdued by an off-duty state trooper and an armed citizen who returned fire during the shooting.
The suspected gunman, identified as Chad Williams, 24, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after fatally shooting an employee and a customer, according to Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks.
Authorities believe Williams acted alone in the attack. He was found dead near the restaurant.
"We want to take a moment and commend the actions of the off-duty officer and the citizen and their heroic action to stop this incident," Hicks said during a news conference Sunday. "We believe their actions helped drive the suspect away from the scene, preventing further casualties."
Three people died, and seven others were wounded in the shootout, city spokesperson Josh Palmer previously said.
Authorities said two of the injured victims have been released from the hospital, while three are in stable condition and two remain in critical condition.
Hicks described the incident as one of the most "chaotic" situations his department has faced, saying first responders encountered a scenario unlike anything many law enforcement officers experience in their careers.

Trump says he and Israel have called off Iran attack after
getting assurance that a deal is imminent

US President Donald Trump says he has called off a major attack on Iran after being assured by Tehran and other Middle East countries that a framework for a deal to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz and “end the Iran nuclear threat” has been reached, adding that Israel is also on board with holding off on a major strike against the Islamic Republic.
“The USA is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of military terror, strength and Power not seen since World War II,” Trump writes on Truth Social.
“Despite this, we have just been asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern countries to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to,” he continues.
“This would include the Immediate, complete, and total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat,” Trump claims. (Times of Israel) Read more

As part of his visit to Washington, D.C., this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, met on Wednesday with a group of Evangelical leaders, who expressed support for him.
Before heading back to Israel on Thursday, Netanyahu held several meetings with the Evangelical leaders, as well as with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance, heads of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Democrat Senator John Fetterman, and Republican Senators Ted Cruz, Tim Sheehy, and Tom Cotton, at the U.S. President’s guest lodge, Blair House.
In his meeting with the Evangelical leaders, Netanyahu expressed his appreciation for their support for the State of Israel, in what he described as “his struggle against the Iranian axis of evil.”

Lord God, as “tradition” states the tribe of Ephraim eventually moved north out of the Middle East and became the Gentiles, and Judah is the symbol of Israel and the Jewish people, the words of PM Netanyahu take on new meaning. Though there are still a few pockets of contention between Jews and Evangelical Christians, the trend has been toward a unity that many did not believe was occurring. Something incredible is happening, O Lord, and we are excited to see it. We stand in prayer for the day when all of Israel will be saved as in Romans 11:25, and You will return for Your people.

State of Emergency issued in Washington as dangerous wildfires spread across the Northwest

SPOKANE, WASHINGTON – A historic wildfire season is already gripping the Pacific Northwest, where nearly two million acres have burned.
Now, conditions could deteriorate rapidly in the days ahead as powerful winds threaten explosive fire growth, prompting warnings of a "particularly dangerous" stretch of fire weather.
A fire in Spokane, Washington — called the Old Trails Fire — has exploded in size, and it appears the blaze is making its way toward the outskirts of the city.
Evacuations are in place, and people in the area are being advised to leave the area immediately.
A State of Emergency has been declared in Spokane County, Washington, due to the dangerous situation currently unfolding.
