Trump administration formally bans gain-of-function research
|
|
The Trump administration announced Tuesday it has officially banned gain-of-function research, claiming it has the potential to threaten lives and undermine national security if not properly restricted and controlled. The State and Health and Human Services departments claim that although biomedical research has produced lifesaving vaccines and medical breakthroughs, it must never come at the expense of public safety or national security.
The policy change comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order last year that banned federal funding for gain-of-function research in countries like China, which is believed to be at the heart of the COVID-19 lab leak in Wuhan. The two departments said in a joint statement that an "America First approach to scientific research means ensuring that taxpayer dollars are never used to support dangerous gain-of-function research ... in the United States or abroad."
The new policy also prohibits federal support for gain-of-function research, strengthens oversight of other high-risk life sciences research, and restricts funding for research conducted in countries that lack appropriate safety, security, and oversight standards.
"Scientific leadership requires both innovation and responsibility," the departments said. "The United States will continue to support biomedical research that develops vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics, and other lifesaving medical countermeasures while ensuring that the highest-risk research is subject to rigorous safeguards. "We encourage our international partners to join us in ending dangerous gain-of-function research and adopting strong biosafety and biosecurity standards that make the world safer, more secure, and better prepared for future biological threats," they added.
The policy was developed by top officials including Undersecretary of State Tom DiNanno and NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya. (Just the News) Read more here

Father God,
We are grateful that gain-of-function research has now been outlawed in the United States. By Your grace, we have learned so many lessons in the time of the COVID outbreak, that will keep our people safe in the days to come. We say HALLELUJAH
for President Trump's leadership in this vital matter and we bind any spirit of backlash that would try to come against him now, in the days ahead. Thank You, Father God, for this report. In Jesus' name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" (James 1:5 KJV)

600 Buildings Burn, 60,000 People Evacuate in Horrific Natural Disaster in Washington
|
|
Wildfires in Washington state are destroying entire neighborhoods and forcing tens of thousands of residents to flee. Officials say it's the worst natural disaster in the region's history
As flames quickly tore through neighborhoods, thousands fled for their lives. So far, the inferno has consumed hundreds of structures and forced 60,000 people to evacuate. More than 600 homes and buildings in the Spokane area have been damaged or destroyed by multiple fires.
Video and photos from the area reveal terror and total devastation. Aric Frank recorded his home's final moments. "I don't think I'm gonna rebuild here because I don't ever want to have to relive a fire coming up this hill again."
More than 7,000 acres are burning, and firefighters have come in from California and as far away as Australia to help battle the blaze. However, as of Monday morning, crews have been unable to contain the fire.
Gov. Bob Ferguson said, "There are so many Washingtonians that have just lost everything in a very short matter of time. In just a matter of hours their lives changed."
It's not just happening in Washington state. Wildfires are burning across the West with dozens in the Pacific Northwest alone, fed by drought and high winds.

Oh Holy King, yet another horrific and unbearable fire nightmare has happened in Washington state, after California and Hawaii, in prior years. Mighty God, we pray for Your lovingkindness and comfort to be with the thousands of people who have lost everything in homes incinerated, including pets, livestock and life stories. We bless the first responders, including national guard who all worked valiantly day and night seeking to save lives and homes. Even though these three fire-beasts are joining and are still zero percent contained, we give praise Father that people have all worked together to help each other. We pray for Your light and salvation to fill hearts and minds of the citizens as they seek to know what to do next, in Jesus's name.
"For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you." (Isaiah 60:2)

Democrats eye this battleground seat in Congress as key to flipping House
|
|
In the fight to take back control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November's midterms, Democrats are zeroed in on Virginia's 2nd Congressional District.
It's a seat they view as a prime target to seize from Republicans.
Tuesday's primary election in Virginia will determine whether former Democratic U.S. Rep. Elaine Luria will regain the seat she once held from Republican incumbent Rep. Jen Kiggans.
Labeled a toss-up by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report, the battle for Virginia's Hampton Roads seat will be one of the most watched races across the country in November's midterm elections. With a small advantage – Republicans' 220-215 edge won in November 2024 is today 218-212 with one independent formerly Republican caucusing with his former party, and four vacancies – a handful of competitive seats are likely to determine which political party sets the House's policy priorities over President Donald Trump's final two years. Holy King, we pray for Virginia's elections to be fair and honest and that the Republican candidate will continue to hold onto her seat successfully, in Jesus's name. We bind every plan for stealing, manipulating or otherwise corrupting every election now and forever, in the name of Jesus. We pray for a strengthening of the conservative position across all elections this year Abba, so that those who love You and seek the expansion of Your name in our nation, may be successful.
"The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. The righteous will never be removed, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth." (Proverbs 10:29-30)

Democrats blink as Schumer helps GOP clear key shutdown hurdle
|
|
Senate Republicans opted to strike on bipartisan momentum and take a key step to prevent a government shutdown almost two months before the deadline.
The upper chamber voted in a bipartisan wave to clear the first procedural hurdle for a short-term funding extension that would see the government open through the midterm elections and into early December.
The actual deadline to fund the government is not until Sept. 30, when the current fiscal year expires, but Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., argued that it’s better to move now then to wait to create more "certainty" in the coming weeks.
"There's been enough uncertainty this last year, and, you know, unfortunately, I think through two government shutdowns that extended for a long period of time, it's better for everybody if there's predictability, certainty," Thune said.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., endorsed the continuing resolution (CR) on Monday, arguing that the current bipartisan offering was the "responsible path forward that allows continued bipartisan negotiations on a budget that delivers for American families." (Fox News) Read more

Thank You Father for guiding these two Senate leaders to make a responsible, mature agreement regarding our nation's budget. We pray that this entire matter can be brought fully under Your leadership in the coming year so our nation will stop lurching from deadline to stressline, in Your holy name. We pray also for Jesus-honoring, righteous leadership to step into positions in the Senate so all deeds will be brought under Your authority and the Constitution will be exalted.
"A faithful man will abound with blessings, But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished. To show partiality is not good, Because for a piece of bread a man will transgress." (Proverbs 28:20-21)

Marco Rubio: Cuba Is an ‘Espionage Superpower’ Funding Far-Left Riots in America
|
|
|
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned over the weekend that a spy network run by Cuba’s communist Castro regime is undermining American interests.
On Fox News Channel’s My View with Lara Trump Sec. Rubio detailed that the Cuban regime is also linked to the rise of Antifa riots and similar violent protests that have taken place across America over the past years — emphasizing that the Cuban regime, which is 90 miles away from America’s shores, is a “failed state” and a national security threat to the U.S.
The report also details how the Castro regime — which turned Cuba into a State Sponsor of Terrorism (SST) — established an espionage network with elements that are actively working inside the United States to undermine American national security. Sec. Rubio touched upon the subject of the Castro regime’s espionage network.
“If you look at the history of espionage in the United States, Cuba is the only country that consistently has implanted and embedded spies in our system without even paying them,” Sec. Rubio told Lara Trump. (Breitbart) Read more

We pray Jesus that these schemes plotted in Cuba and other communist countries will be brought under Your authority and crushed under Your feet, so that the propaganda machine against our nation will be neutralized. We call for the body of Christ to stand up, pray over and be wise about the enemy's manipulation of our young people against us. May we be powerful and effective in counteracting the adversary in order to see many souls saved and become part of the Kingdom of God on earth, as in heaven, in Jesus's name.
"For He remembered that they were but flesh, A breath that passes away and does not come again. How often they provoked Him in the wilderness,And grieved Him in the desert! Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy," (Psalm 78:39-42)

1. Hezbollah chief slams ‘humiliation’ of Israel-Lebanon talks in Rome
- World Israel News
Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem on Tuesday denounced the resumption of Israel-Lebanon talks in Rome, saying negotiations with Jerusalem had brought the country “nothing except shame.”
Qassem’s remarks came hours before U.S.-backed talks between Israeli and Lebanese officials were scheduled to begin in the Italian capital, where the sides are expected to discuss the implementation of a June 26 framework agreement that calls for Hezbollah’s removal from Southern Lebanon.
“Direct negotiations have brought Lebanon nothing except shame, humiliation, disappointment and one concession after another,” Qassem said, according to Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen channel, which is affiliated with Hezbollah. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu says Israel ‘didn’t agree’ to Board of Peace’s plan to disarm Hamas
- Times of Israel
In his first public comments on the matter, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that Israel has not agreed to the Board of Peace’s disarmament plan, which was accepted by Hamas last week.
Reiterating comments from recent days attributed to “senior Israeli officials,” Netanyahu said in a video posted to Facebook that Israel will not withdraw “from our current lines” in Gaza “until Hamas is completely disarmed.”
This would appear to go against the disarmament plan, which requires Israel to pull back to the original Yellow Line in Gaza. Israel withdrew to that line as part of the October 2025 ceasefire-hostage release deal with Hamas, but has since expanded its control of the Strip from 53 percent to over 60%. (Read more)

3. All Israeli strikes in Gaza to require IDF chief Zamir's approval as military tightens policies - Jerusalem Post
All Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip will now require the approval of IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, Army Radio reported Tuesday, citing security sources.
The requirement comes as the military tightens its overall attack policies, which until now required only the approval of a division commander.
The recent reduction of IDF attacks in Gazais a direct result of the policy changes and the general reduction in targets since the October 7 massacre, the report said. (Read more)

4. Chile, Honduras Restore Ambassadors to Israel After Nearly Two Years of Diplomatic Strains Over Gaza War - Algemeiner
Chile and Honduras officially restored full ambassadorial representation to Israel on Monday, marking a significant diplomatic breakthrough after more than two years of strained relations following the outbreak of the war in Gaza and signaling a broader regional shift toward renewed engagement with the Jewish state.
During a credential ceremony in Jerusalem on Monday, Israeli President Isaac Herzog received six new ambassadors from Germany, Nigeria, Georgia, Sri Lanka, Chile, and Honduras.
Most notably, the ceremony marked the return of ambassadors from the two Latin American nations, restoring full diplomatic representation for the first time since the Hamas-led invasion of and massacre across southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. (Read more)

5. India steps up arms supplies to Israel, sent almost 3,000 arms consignments since October 7 - Jerusalem Post
The focus on the defense relationship between Israel and India is usually on Israeli exports. However, a new report by Amnesty International reveals a new angle, showing that no fewer than 2,596 shipments of weapons, ammunition, parts and components were transferred from India to Israel between October 7, 2023 and November 30, 2025.
The roots of these supplies lie in the activities of Israeli defense companies, led by Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Rafael, which have adapted to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Made in India" policy. This policy is intended to increase local independence, and in recent years India has even tightened the self-reliance requirements and set a threshold of at least 50% local production.
This situation has not affected India's position as the most prominent customer of Israel's defense industries. Data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) shows that about 29% of Israel's defense exports in 2021-2025 were to India, which remained Israel's number one defense export destination despite the huge deal to sell the Arrow 3 system to Germany for $3.5 billion. 21% of Israel's defense exports between 2021-2025 were to Germany, SIPRI reports. 1. Socialist insurgents eye Midwest gains as Dem civil war threatens must-hold Senate seat - Fox News
DETROIT, MI - The high-stakes fight between the left-wing and the center-left establishment for the future of the Democratic Party is front-and-center on Tuesday in Michigan's primary.
Boosted by a string of victories this spring in mostly blue congressional districts across the country, the Democrats' ideological war moves to the Great Lakes battleground state, where progressive victories could reshape the party and endanger must-hold seats in the midterm elections.
Also at stake as Michigan joins Kansas, Missouri, Virginia and Washington State in holding mid-summer primaries is President Donald Trump's immense clout over the GOP and the power of his endorsements in Republican nominating contests.
But taking top billing is Michigan's divisive and expensive Democratic Senate primary, which is seen as the biggest stage to date in the fierce fight for the future of the Democratic Party.
Matt Bennett, one of the leaders at the Third Way, a leading center-left Democratic organization, told Fox News Digital the Michigan showdown is "the first time the left is competing for a swing seat" and warned, "the significance is it could really put this seat in jeopardy." (Read more)

Holy One, in light of the significant cultural / political challenges in Michigan, we ask that You pour forth Your answers to the thousands of hours of prayer that the Transformation Michigan team and others have sent before Your throne of grace. Your Word gives us permission to come boldly to Your throne to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16), so we lay hold on everything available in order to receive and see victory for the Kingdom of God in Michigan, in Jesus's name.
"And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession." (Hebrews 4:13-14)

2. Rep. Andy Ogles Calls Out RINO Senate Leader John Thune for Failing to Pass SAVE America Act: “Do the Right Thing or RESIGN” - The Gateway Pundit
Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles just unleashed pure fire on Senate Majority Leader John Thune, demanding the South Dakota RINO finally put the SAVE America Act on the floor or resign.
Ogles just dropped a massive truth bomb on X, publicly demanding that Thune step up or step down.
When asked about the growing tension between the House and Senate, Ogles didn’t hold back:
“Well, you know, I would say we’re a lot frustrated, quite frankly. Senator Thune has the opportunity to put this on the [Senate] floor. They can do the talking filibuster. Look, in 1964, the Civil Rights Act was passed because of the talking filibuster. 1965, the Voting Rights Act was passed because of the talking filibuster. The Dodd-Frank bill was passed because of the talking filibuster. So there’s a precedent here when you have monumental, transformative pieces of legislation for the Senate to use this procedural maneuver to get it done. So, John Thune, do your job, get it done, or get out of the way.” (Read more)

Mighty God, we agree with Rep Ogles and appreciate seeing the history of significant pieces of legislation from the past that have been brought forward through the talking filibuster. We call for Senator John Thune to stand in courage and do the same thing because this SAVE Act is supported by 75% or more of people from all parties. We pray Father for this nation to move forward with election security and integrity so we have some chance of righteousness at the ballot boxes in Jesus's name.
"The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. Many seek the ruler's favor, But justice for man comes from the Lord. An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked." (Proverbs 29:25-27)

3. Blanche Clears Key Senate Confirmation Hurdle - NewsMax
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche cleared a critical hurdle Tuesday in his bid to be confirmed to the post after swaying Republican holdouts on a Senate committee to advance his nomination for a floor vote.
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 12-10 along party lines in support of the nomination of President Donald Trump's former personal attorney, who has aggressively pushed the Republican administration's priorities since taking over from Pam Bondi in April.
The vote followed a deal struck late Sunday between Blanche and two Republican senators who had been threatening to block his confirmation over the settlement of Trump's lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service regarding the president's leaked tax returns.
Republican Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Thom Tillis of North Carolina had said they were withholding their support unless the Justice Department confirmed in writing that it was not moving forward with a $1.8 billion fund to compensate Trump allies who believe they were prosecuted for political purposes, which the administration had announced as part of the settlement. Mighty God, this matter is politics at work effectively. We thank You for making a way for Acting AG Todd Blanche to advance to full confirmation so he can continue doing the important work of bringing forward prosecutions and driving forward justice in our nation. We pray for Your hand to lead and guide him into all righteousness. However, the matter of the J6 citizens who've been wrongly prosecuted is still very much alive in our hearts because there's been so much prayer for recompense, which we completely trust You to bring forward on their behalf, in the name of Jesus.
"They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me." (Psalm 18:18-20)

4. House committees seek records on how New Jersey found noncitizen voter registrations amid dispute - JustTheNews
Two House committees have requested documents and communications from New Jersey’s chief elections official about the “alleged software errors” that permitted 6,600 noncitizens on the voter rolls.
The House Administration and Judiciary Committees sent the request to New Jersey Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State Dale Caldwell on Monday, according to a letter obtained by Just the News.
The letter was signed by House Administration Chairman Bryan Steil, Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, Rep. Laurel Lee and Rep. Jeff Van Drew.
Last month, New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill announced that a software glitch resulted in the state’s motor vehicle system accidentally registering 6,600 noncitizens to vote. She acknowledged that as many as 400 of those individuals voted in recent elections.
However, the software vendor for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, France-based IDEMIA, issued a statement disputing those claims, saying it was the responsibility of the state government to verify eligibility to vote, Just the News first reported last month. (Read more)

Holy One, we pray for this "software glitch" or whatever it was to be brought to justice, in Jesus's name. We pray for every state to remove all noncitizens from their voter rolls so that they are unable to vote in future elections, in Jesus's name. Thank You Father that the New Jersey Governor was compelled to speak the truth about the likelihood of noncitizens having voted in prior elections. May there be Godly justice coming forth for New Jersey and every other state with the same violation, in Jesus's name.
"'For violence against your brother Jacob, Shame shall cover you, And you shall be cut off forever. In the day that you stood on the other side–In the day that strangers carried captive his forces, When foreigners entered his gates And cast lots for Jerusalem–Even you were as one of them.'" 5. Fauci Faces Contempt Vote Wednesday Following Tense Senate Appearance - BCN
"The HSGAC hearing with Fauci was about accountability. He said one thing in public and another in private, controlled the narrative, and put politics above truth. Without real reform, the next unelected bureaucrat will do it again." -Senator Rand Paul
A Senate panel appears poised to vote Wednesday on whether to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress after he invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times before the committee last week. (Screengrab image: via RSBN)
Fauci repeatedly invoked his right against self-incrimination despite having been granted a sweeping pardon by ...Joe Biden amid allegations that he misled Congress and the public about the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became the face of the public health response to the pandemic, was questioned about federal grant money that might have helped fund research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, a suspected source of the virus, before the outbreak of COVID-19. He has repeatedly denied allegations of funding China-based research on coronavirus and lying about it to Congress.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which hosted Fauci last week, will hold a business meeting on Wednesday. Nothing is on the schedule, but the committee's chairman, Sen. Rand Paul, R-KY, posted Monday on X, "This week, HSGAC will vote to hold him in contempt."

We bless You Jesus for bringing this nation and the world through the nightmare of Covid-19. Our hearts still grieve for those who were tragically lost as a result, as well as the heartache within family relationships. We know this is an enormous sin burden that Anthony Fauci is carrying and we forgive him. We pray Abba, that he will have the opportunity to know that You have paid the price for his sins to be forgiven … even so large as these and that he would find salvation and repentance, in Jesus's name. We also pray for just consequences to be paid for the crimes committed willfully and seemingly without remorse. We declare that the people of our government, elected and appointed, will never again be permitted to break laws to gain money and prestige especially at the cost of lives, in Jesus's name.
"But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:22-23)

6. Glenn Beck ‘outraged’: AI company secretly bought and SHREDDED millions of books — including rare ones - The Blaze
‘Books are civilization's memories. Scan them, learn from them, preserve them — but never confuse scanning with shredding.’
Late last month, Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company behind the chatbot Claude, agreed to a whopping $1.5 billion settlement resolving copyright claims over its acquisition and use of millions of pirated books to develop its AI models, making it the largest copyright settlement in U.S. history.
According to court documents, Anthropic’s Project Panama involved the purchasing of millions of physical books in bulk, which hydraulic cutting machines then sliced the spines off of so that the pages could be fed into high-speed scanners to train Claude.
The remnants of the books were then shredded — and that’s the part that disturbs Glenn Beck the most.
“The book is not discarded; it's shredded. ... It's destroyed on purpose because now the digital copy is now considered enough,” he warns. (Read more)

Father God, we absolutely see the peril of this evil activity against the history of civilization. We have many oral stories that come from generation to generation, but they are always embellished in one way or another. When a story like the Bible is written, it can be translated but not changed, which is so important for the generations yet to come. We have seen rewritten history being used to negatively impact our culture, such as weather and seasons, as well as the matter of Christopher Columbus. Holy One, we pray that this shredding of rare and original documents is stopped, in Jesus name for the sake of our next 250 years.
"Then Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, 'I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.' And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan." (2 Chronicles 34:15)
"So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who could hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month. Then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law. . . . And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was standing above all the people; and when he opened it, all the people stood up. And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God. Then all the people answered, 'Amen, Amen!' while lifting up their hands. And they bowed with their heads and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground." (Nehemiah 8:2-3, 5-6)

Beware of the Politics of Division
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, August 4, 2026
Prominent Democratic leaders increasingly speak of defeating opponents through investigations, subpoenas, impeachment, and language that portrays political rivals as enemies rather than fellow Americans. NY Democrat George Conway has pledged a third impeachment of President Trump. Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) has spoken of subpoenaing private citizens who worked with the Trump administration. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) urged fellow Democrats to recognize "the enemy is Donald Trump." Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) has accused the White House of spreading "poison" and declared President Trump "is not a man of faith." This rhetoric only deepens division.
Words reveal priorities. When investigations become campaign promises and impeachment becomes a recurring political strategy rather than an extraordinary constitutional remedy, governing takes a back seat to conflict. Americans have watched this cycle for nearly a decade. Every election seems to promise another investigation, another hearing, another attempt to remove political opponents. That atmosphere breeds distrust in our institutions and encourages citizens to see one another through the lens of political warfare. A constitutional republic depends on vigorous debate, respect for elections, due process, and the understanding that today's opponent remains tomorrow's neighbor. Read More

Armed man arrested at Trump National Golf Course in Los Angeles County

|
A man allegedly armed with a pistol was arrested after he was seen taking photos and videos of the Trump National Golf Course in Los Angeles County over the weekend, authorities announced on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Sunday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said, a day before it was announced that President Donald Trump is set to visit the Rancho Palos Verdes property this week for a Republican National Committee dinner.
Deputies responded to the golf course Sunday afternoon after plainclothes federal agents reported a "suspicious individual" who was seen walking on the grounds, taking photos and videos and "appearing to monitor security-planning activities," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a release on Tuesday.
Deputies determined the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele of Downey, was being investigated for a robbery by police in El Segundo and detained him, the sheriff's department said.
Deputies recovered a 16-round magazine containing hollow-point ammunition from his pants pocket, as well as a loaded pistol with a round chambered and an additional loaded magazine containing hollow-point ammunition from his vehicle, authorities said.
He was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and possession of armor-piercing/prohibited ammunition, the sheriff's department said.
Detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect's residence Monday afternoon due to the "potential security implications surrounding the incident" and recovered more firearms and ammunition, as well as "multiple notebooks containing concerning statements," body armor and two radio signal devices, the sheriff's department said.
Taele remains in custody, authorities said. Investigators presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office earlier Tuesday for filing consideration.
The incident remains under investigation in coordination with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force and the United States Secret Service, the sheriff's department said. (NBC News)

Holy One,
Once again, we see that You have protected our dear President from an assassin who was set to take his life. We thank You, O Lord, that You have heard the prayers of your saints, and You have answered. We ask that Jeanine John Taele, this would-be assassin, would be brought to the fullest extent of justice in our court of law,
and that, if there is anyone else tied to his plans, that they, too, would be found and face justice.
We praise You, O Lord, that You do hear the cries of Your saints, and You do answer us.
In Jesus' mighty name we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

The images were taken at the ship's location in the Labrador Sea, around 1,280 feet deep in the waters off of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and were released in July.
After 60 years, the vessel remains recognizable and in moderate condition, Dwight Coleman, co-chief scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), told Fox News Digital.
"You could tell it was a ship," he said. "It had an obvious bow and stern, rudder and propeller."Even though it was sort of covered in fishing nets, you could still tell that some of that structure was preserved underneath the nets."
In a statement from the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS), in partnership with WHOI, officials said the wreck "was populated with pink corals, and several species of fish including cod, red fish and wolf fish."
The images show fishing nets draped across parts of the wreck, as well as parts of its metal superstructure and portholes that still remain intact.
Shackleton, one of history's most celebrated Antarctic explorers, died on Quest in 1922 at age 47. He suffered a heart attack while the ship was anchored in South Georgia, a remote island in the South Atlantic. (Fox News) Read More

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
