White House Christmas tree arrives from Michigan
|
|
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - It’s been more than forty years since the White House Christmas tree came from Michigan. Monday, First Lady Melania Trump accepted the tree as part of a yearly tradition. This year’s White House Christmas tree comes from the family owned Korson’s Tree Farms, which has operated out of the Grand Rapids area since 1973. First Lady Melania Trump received the tree on the North Lawn of the White House.
Korson’s Tree Farm’s won a contest held by the National Christmas Tree to become the official White House Christmas tree. The 25 foot concolor fir was selected by White House Superintendent of Grounds Dale Haney. The National Christmas Tree Association has held a contest to select the White House tree every year since 1966.(WDTV) Watch Video Here

The West Virginia National Guardsman who is in critical condition after being shot this week in Washington, D.C., is "hanging on," a congressman told "FOX & Friends Weekend," adding that his family is calling for prayer.
Rep. Riley Moore, R-W.Va., said Saturday that the family of Andrew Wolfe, 24, is "committed to service."
"His father is a deputy sheriff in the county next to mine and Andy wanted to follow in that footsteps and serve his nation as a National Guardsman," Moore told "FOX & Friends Weekend."
"Andy is hanging on. And he is a fighter, and his family has told me that, time and time again, he is a fighter," Moore added. "But above all, what they want here is for everybody to continue to pray. I believe in the power of prayer and I can promise you his parents believe in the power of prayer. . . . Please keep praying."
West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey also told "Fox & Friends Weekend" on Saturday that, "Andrew is fighting for his life right now, and his family and all of his friends, they're trying to harvest as many prayers as possible from all across the country, all across the globe, to help him recover."
Morrisey said Wolfe's condition, as of Saturday, "remains very serious."
"West Virginia cares very deeply about its Guard. And there's just a proud tradition of West Virginians who step up from military service. So when something like this happens, it's really a gut punch to the communities," Morrisey added.
"Most importantly, we need justice to be served. That's critical. I think West Virginians are counting on that. Americans are counting on that," he told Fox News. (Read more)

FBI Investigates National Guard Shooter's Ties to California, Washington
|
|
FBI Director Kash Patel said during a Thursday press conference that the agency has searched the Washington state home of an attacker accused of ambushing two National Guard members and a location in San Diego, California.
West Virginia National Guardsmen Andrew Wolfe and Sarah Beckstrom were allegedly shot with a Smith and Wesson revolver at the Farragut West Metro Station in Washington, D.C., by Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national who entered the United States in September 2021. Patel provided reporters an update on how the investigation was proceeding.
“Partnering with the D.C. United States attorney’s office, we have also executed multiple, multiple search warrants to include the subject’s last known residence, which is in the state of Washington,” Patel said. “The search warrant was executed on that house last night or early this morning and it’s an ongoing process. All the individuals found in the house have been interviewed and some interviews remain ongoing.”
“We will not stop until we interview anyone and everyone associated with the subject, the house, and every piece of his life,” Patel continued. “There’s also subject interviews, relations conducted in San Diego pursuant to our ongoing investigation. So as the judge noted, this is a coast-to-coast investigation being led right here in Washington, D.C.”

Trump Promises a Common Sense End to Third World Migration to U.S. After National Guard Shooting
|
|
In a series of posts on Thanksgiving evening, President Donald Trump promised to “permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries” and “terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions” to the United States.
The move came one day after two National Guard troops were shot on patrol in Washington, D.C., by an Afghan national who was admitted to the country in the wake of former President Joe Biden’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.
According to The Washington Post, federal authorities now believed that Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29 — who previously worked with the CIA in Afghanistan — drove across the country to carry out the “targeted” attack. One of the troops who was shot has since died; the other remains in critical condition as of Thursday night.
Trump had already promised that “every single alien who has entered our country from Afghanistan under Biden” must be investigated, but went further in his Truth Social posts on Thursday night, which were reposted to his X account. (Western Journal) Read more

Trump Says ‘There Was No Checking’ of Afghans Brought in After Biden’s Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal

President Donald Trump said Thursday night that Afghans brought into the United States after then-President Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan were not vetted.
Trump’s comments came when a reporter asked if he blamed all Afghans in America for the shootings of two National Guardsmen, one of who “No, but we’ve had a lot of problems with Afghans because they had a lot of them coming on these planes,” he said, adding. “There was no checking; they just poured into the plane.”
“Many of these people are criminals, many of these people are people that shouldn’t be here,” he continued, stating his administration has removed “a lot of them.”
The reporter followed up, asking what Afghans legally in the United States should think.
“They can’t be happy because what’s taking place between that–if you look at Somalia, they’re taking over Minnesota. We got a lot of problems with the gangs, with all of the things taking place in Minnesota. We have an incompetent governor… we have a dope governor. They can’t be happy about what’s going on,” he said.
“If you talk about the Afghans, you know, there’s a problem, because so many bad ones came in on the planes,” he added. “Whoever the strongest people were physically in a way… they got on the planes. 1. IDF concerned: Sensitive info may be leaked to Hezbollah through UNIFIL
- Israel National News
According to a report on Galai Tzahal (IDF Radio), UN peacekeeping forces have been operating close to areas where the IDF is active, documenting and filming the surroundings - a practice that senior IDF officials say raises a serious alarm.
According to these officials, there is a real fear that this documentation reaches Hezbollah and is used for intelligence gathering and planning terror attacks. Distrust of UNIFIL is not new, but it has grown in recent months amid developments in Lebanon and mounting pressure on the Lebanese government to disarm Hezbollah.
Reporter Doron Kadosh revealed this morning that in a recent incident, the IDF discovered an official UNIFIL coordination document referring to Israel as the “Israeli enemy.” The IDF responded angrily and demanded clarification. In a formal reply, UNIFIL claimed it was an error stemming from copying terminology from the Lebanese army without correction, and issued an apology. (Read more)

2. Qatar insists Israel continues with ceasefire despite Hamas’ failure to return all hostages - World Israel News
Qatar says the next stage of President Donald Trump’s postwar plan for Gaza should advance despite unresolved cases involving two bodies held in the Strip.
Majed al-Ansari, the spokesman for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, said in a recent podcast that Doha views the matter as humanitarian but not grounds to interrupt the broader agreement.
“We don’t believe Israel should be allowed to obstruct the implementation of the agreement over these two bodies,” he said, adding that Palestinian factions were searching for the remains “and preempt any Israeli pretexts.”
His comments sparked immediate pushback from relatives of the hostages. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum said the mediators must anchor every stage of the plan in the commitment to bring all captives home. (Read more)

3. Israeli forces foil gun smugglers from Egypt, Jordan - JNS
Israeli soldiers on Saturday intercepted an attempt to smuggle weapons into the country from Egypt via drone, the Israel Defense Forces said on Sunday.
The UAV “from the west” was carrying two long-barrel guns, according to the military.
In a separate incident on Saturday, troops patrolling areas where smuggling activity had occurred in the past spotted drugs and ammunition, according to the statement.
On Friday, the IDF’s Lions of the Jordan Valley Battalion (41st) and the YAGAL unit of the Israel Police thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons via the border with Jordan.

4. Netanyahu will not step away from Israeli politics for plea deal, intends to run again - Jersualem Post
Sources close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would not consider a deal that would require him to pull out of the political arena, The Jerusalem Post learned on Sunday.
"He is planning to run again [in the next elections]," the sources said.
This touches on the core of the debate over the trial and over a plea bargain over the years: Moral turpitude, the principle that would distance Netanyahu from politics. Effectively, what the sources are saying is that, with the ball in Herzog's court, the true win - remaining in politics - may be all but guaranteed. (Read more)

5. Netanyahu asks President Herzog for pardon - Israel Hayom
A political and legal earthquake unfolded on Sunday when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu submitted a request for a presidential pardon to President Isaac Herzog.
The request was delivered to the legal department at the President's Residence by Netanyahu's attorney. It was then transferred to the Pardons Department in the Justice Ministry, which will compile the relevant legal opinions from various officials in the ministry. These opinions will then be forwarded to the legal adviser at the President's Residence and staff, who will prepare an additional opinion for the president.
Officials at the President's Residence emphasized that this is an exceptional request with far reaching implications. Once all opinions are received, the president will examine the matter responsibly and with due seriousness. The request includes two documents: a detailed letter signed by Netanyahu's attorney, and a letter signed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself. 1. Trump Admin Halts All Asylum Decisions, Pauses Afghan Visas – The Epoch Times
The Trump administration on Nov. 28 halted all asylum decisions and paused visa issuance for Afghan nationals following the shooting of two National Guard members near the White House, citing national security concerns.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said it halted all asylum decisions, “until we can ensure that every alien is vetted and screened to the maximum degree possible,” USCIS Director Joseph B. Edlow wrote in an X post. “The safety of the American people always comes first.”
On the same day, the U.S. Department of State said on X that it “has IMMEDIATELY paused visa issuance for individuals traveling on Afghan passports,” adding that it “is taking all necessary steps to protect U.S. national security and public safety.”
The USCIS announced the pause after it stopped processing all immigration requests relating to Afghan nationals following the shooting of two National Guard members, one killed and the other injured, on Nov. 26 near the White House.
For an immigrant to be eligible for asylum, the applicant must “have a fear of persecution due to their race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or their inclusion in a particular social group,” according to the Refugee Council USA.

2. Treasury Sec: We’re Cutting Off Benefits To Illegals, They Belong To Americans - Daily Wire
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Friday that he’s working to cut off federal benefits to people in the United States illegally, emphasizing that those benefits should be preserved for American citizens.
“At [President Donald Trump]‘s direction, we are working to cut off federal benefits to illegal aliens and preserve them for U.S. citizens,” Bessent posted to X on Friday.
“[The United States Treasury] announced that it will issue proposed regulations clarifying that the refunded portions of certain individual income tax benefits are no longer available to illegal and other non-qualified aliens, covering the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Additional Child Tax Credit, the American Opportunity Tax Credit, and the Saver’s Match Credit,” he explained.
Bessent’s announcement was made in response to President Donald Trump declaring on Thanksgiving that he would pause all migration from third-world countries.
Trump also promised to “end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.” (Read more)

3. Criminal networks exploit US interstates to make human trafficking victims vanish: ‘Real plague’ - Fox News
An epidemic sweeping the country’s roadways and causing human trafficking victims to vanish without a trace is being highlighted on the heels of one of the largest child-smuggling busts in United States history.
Individuals being trafficked along interstate highways has become increasingly common throughout the U.S. However, data regarding just how many victims are transported along interstate highways remains unavailable, largely due to the secretive nature of such crimes.
In November, a multi-regional operation involving several federal, state and local agencies resulted in the rescue of 122 missing or endangered children from ten states, according to Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier.
The mission, referred to as "Operation Home for the Holidays," marked one of the largest child-recovery efforts in the country’s history and included children ranging in age from 23 months to 17 years old. (Read more)

4. CCP-linked firms quietly hold stakes in US solar companies fueling Dems' green push - Fox News
A pair of major North American solar companies, including one touted by Senate Democrats in 2023, could face scrutiny over their ties to China.
While the feds have created barriers to Chinese firms flooding the solar market, many have found ways to localize operations in the U.S. or North America in a manner that allows for public investment and even deferential press coverage at times.
After then-President Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act, Senate Democrats praised the law for its substantive investments in "green" energy, including solar. One company that received top billing was an Ontario-based firm that was founded by a Chinese entrepreneur and keeps much of its assets in China.
"The Inflation Reduction Act is already paying huge dividends for the American people," blared a topline from Senate Democrats in 2023 after investments were being made in several companies.
The release cited a Reuters report that Canadian Solar – based in Guelph, Ontario, but founded by Qu Xiaohua and with its main operating arm listed on Shanghai’s SciTech board – committed to $250 million to a 5GW module facility in Texas after the IRA took effect.
Trina Solar North America president Steven Zhu boasted to China Daily, a Chinese state-run propaganda outlet, that the project represents "a significant investment in American manufacturing that will bolster the U.S. solar market in addition to positioning Texas as a leader in the transition to a sustainable future." 5. Solar Storm Software Bug Prompts Urgent Airbus A320 Overhaul – The Epoch Times
Airbus, the Netherlands-based aerospace giant headquartered in France, must conduct a mandatory software update for its A320 passenger jets after information has come to light that solar radiation can corrupt key flight control data, potentially causing pilots to lose control of their aircraft.
The FAA joined the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in requiring airlines to address the issue with a new software update.
The directive comes following a JetBlue Airways flight that experienced a swift drop in altitude in October, injuring at least 15 passengers, some of whom were taken to the hospital.
The incident happened on Oct. 30 during a flight from Cancun, Mexico, to Newark, New Jersey, leading to a diversion to Tampa, Florida.
An investigation determined intense solar radiation as a contributing factor, revealing a vulnerability in the A320’s systems. The European Authority for Aviation Safety (EASA) issued a directive requiring operators to install the fix, noting it could lead to “short-term disruption” in flights. (Read more)

6. Massive winter storm slams Midwest with heavy snow, unleashing dangerous travel conditions for holiday weekend- Fox Weather
Parts of the Midwest are seeing heavy snowfall from a major winter storm that is blasting the Central U.S. this weekend, causing travel headaches for millions of people as they return home from Thanksgiving plans.
Winter Storm Warnings stretched across most of the Upper Midwest, covering areas from South Dakota and Nebraska to Ohio and Indiana through Sunday.
Chicago and Milwaukee are likely to be at the forefront of this storm, with snow really picking up on Saturday afternoon.
Both cities are likely to see 8-12 inches of snow, with some places in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin potentially seeing more than a foot of snow by Sunday.
More than 3 inches of snow was recorded at Chicago O'Hare as of Saturday afternoon.
In Milwaukee, snowfall rates up to and over 1 inch per hour were possible into Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service. (Read more)

President Trump: Documents Signed by Joe Biden’s Autopen Are ‘Hereby Terminated’
|

|
President Donald Trump announced on Friday he is terminating all documents allegedly signed by former President Joe Biden with the autopen.
In a Truth Social post, Trump claimed 92% of documents signed during Biden's presidency were done so with the device.
"The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United
States," Trump wrote. "The Radical Left Lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office took the Presidency away from him."
Trump said he is canceling all executive orders and "anything else that was not directly signed by Crooked Joe Biden, because the people who operated the Autopen did so illegally."
He further threatened to charge Biden with perjury if he claims he was involved in the autopen process.

Embattled Radical Democrat Candidate Said Prayer Makes Her 'Deeply Uncomfortable' in Resurfaced Audio
|

|
|
Democratic Tennessee congressional candidate Aftyn Behn said in resurfaced audio that lawmakers openly praying during legislative sessions make her “uncomfortable.”
While appearing on the “Red State Blue Moon” podcast in June 2024, Behn complained that the Tennessee Legislature opens up with prayer at the beginning of each legislative session. She further complained that Christian pastors and prayer groups have “proximity to power” in the Legislature and that religion is often at the center of the state’s politics.
“And I think, especially as someone who is more secular, I have a hard time when religion is at the core of everything we do in the Legislature. For example, on the House floor, we say a prayer at the beginning of each session,” Behn said. “Some committees open up with prayer, we also stand for the Pledge. And there are also prayer groups in the Legislature who meet routinely. There are Christian pastors that have a lot of say and proximity to power in the Legislature and dictate a lot of what the power players do. And it is uncomfortable and I think it makes a lot of my constituents who represent a diversity of religion deeply uncomfortable.”
Behn has entered the spotlight over her far-left positions and actions during her activism and time in the Legislature. She is running to fill the vacant seat in Tennessee’s 7th district in the state’s special election on Dec. 2.
In 2022, Behn advocated for teaching women how to perform abortions at home to avoid state-wide bans and provide abortion pills during an interview with The Tennessee Holler.
The Tennessee Democrat more recently promised to carry a “trans bill of rights” at every legislative session if she is elected to the U.S. Congress. She has also expressed support for sex changes and hormone procedures for trans-identifying minors and condemned the U.S. Supreme Court for upholding Tennessee’s ban on these treatments. We ask that ALL righteous voters in the State of Tennessee would be made aware of her dangerous positions and would vote en masse to prevent her from winning this election. President Trump: Consider Venezuelan Airspace ‘Closed in Its Entirety’

President Donald Trump announced Saturday that airlines and pilots should consider the airspace over Venezuela to be shut down.
Writing in a post on Truth Social, the president said, “To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”
Per Fox Business, direct flights from U.S. passenger and cargo carriers to the country under a socialist dictatorship were suspended in 2019. However, the article said some planes still fly over it.
In a call with military personnel on Thanksgiving, Trump said that land strikes on Venezuela would start “very soon” as part of the administration’s push “to deter Venezuelan drug traffickers.” (Breitbart) Read more

From a bright supermoon to the Geminid meteor shower, December is filled with must-see astronomy events. Here's when and how to see each celestial sight.
The final month of 2025 will bring a mix of celestial light shows and long winter nights, including one of the most highly anticipated meteor showers of the year. Here are the top events to mark on your calendar.
Supermoon: Dec. 4–5
The last full moon of the year will be a supermoon, appearing slightly larger and brighter than usual when it rises on the night of Dec. 4-5.
December’s full moon will be brighter because it occurs as the moon nears its closest point to Earth in its orbit. On average, the moon is 238,855 miles from Earth, but on Dec. 4, it will be about 17,000 miles closer.
Geminid meteor shower: Dec. 13–14
The Geminids are December’s headliner and one of the best meteor showers of the entire year.
The display peaks on the night of Saturday, Dec. 13, into the early hours of Sunday, Dec. 14. From a dark location, observers could see more than 100 meteors per hour.
Winter solstice: Dec. 21 at 10:03 a.m. ET
Winter officially begins in the Northern Hemisphere on Sunday, Dec. 21, at 10:03 a.m. ET, marking the year’s December solstice. South of the equator, the same date signals the start of summer.
At that moment, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted farthest from the sun, bringing the shortest day and longest night of the year.
Ursid meteor shower: Dec. 21–22
The year ends with the Ursids, a smaller meteor shower that peaks on the night of Dec. 21–22 — the first night of astronomical winter following the solstice.
