23 Independent Abortion Centers Closed in 2025, Over 100 Have Closed Since Dobbs

The number of independent abortion clinics that ceased operations in 2025 reached 23 as of October, nearly double the 12 closures recorded in 2024 and matching the 23 from 2023
The report from the pro-abortion group “Abortion Care Network” focuses on abortion centers not affiliated with the Planned Parenthood abortion company. They kill 58% of babies whose lives are ended in abortions.
These closures represent a significant step forward in the protection of unborn babies, as fewer facilities mean fewer places that kill children. Since the 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade in Dobbs, a total of 100 independent clinics have closed nationwide, outpacing the 60 that have opened in pro-abortion states during the same time period. (Life News)

Trump expands travel ban to hit 5 countries with sweeping new restrictions, citing security concerns

President Donald Trump on Tuesday expanded a travel ban by adding five more countries and imposing limits on others.
The move came as the Trump administration continues to tighten U.S. entry requirements and immigration standards.
"The restrictions and limitations imposed by the Proclamation are necessary to prevent the entry of foreign nationals about whom the United States lacks sufficient information to assess the risks they pose, garner cooperation from foreign governments, enforce our immigration laws, and advance other important foreign policy, national security, and counterterrorism objectives," the proclamation states.
Through his actions on Tuesday, citizens from five countries – Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan and Syria, as well as individuals holding Palestinian-Authority-issued travel documents – will face a ban on travel to the United States, the White House said. In addition, existing partial bans on Laos and Sierra Leone were expanded into full suspensions of entry.
Another 15 countries – Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia and Zimbabwe – will face partial restrictions.
The proclamation also "narrows broad family-based immigrant visa carve-outs that carry demonstrated fraud risks, while preserving case-by-case waivers," the White House said.
In its announcement, the Trump administration said many of the countries on the travel ban suffer from "widespread corruption, fraudulent or unreliable civil documents and criminal records, and nonexistent birth-registration systems," which makes it difficult to perform accurate vetting. Others refuse to share law-enforcement data, while others permit "Citizenship-by-Investment schemes that conceal identity and bypass vetting requirements and travel restrictions." President Donald Trump on Tuesday ordered a total blockade of oil tankers entering or leaving Venezuela, declaring the Nicolás Maduro regime a foreign terrorist organization and accusing it of using stolen U.S. assets to finance terrorism, trafficking and other criminal activity.
"Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America," Trump said on Truth Social. "It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before – Until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us.
"The illegitimate Maduro Regime is using Oil from these stolen Oil Fields to finance themselves, Drug Terrorism, Human Trafficking, Murder, and Kidnapping," he continued. "For the theft of our Assets, and many other reasons, including Terrorism, Drug Smuggling, and Human Trafficking, the Venezuelan Regime has been designated a FOREIGN TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.
"Therefore, today, I am ordering A TOTAL AND COMPLETE BLOCKADE OF ALL SANCTIONED OIL TANKERS going into, and out of, Venezuela," Trump added. Trump announced Wednesday that the U.S. had seized an oil tanker called the "Skipper" off the coast of Venezuela, sharply escalating U.S. tensions with the nation. Trump signs order classifying fentanyl as weapon of mass destruction

WASHINGTON ‒ President Donald Trump has taken action classifying fentanyl as a "weapon of mass destruction" as his administration escalates efforts to combat the flow of illicit drugs into the United States.
Trump signed an executive order on Monday, Dec. 15, to formalize the designation, which comes after the president signed off on unprecedented airstrikes on suspected drug-carrying boats in the Caribbean from Venezuela.
"No bomb does what this is doing," Trump said in the Oval Office, pointing to overdose deaths caused by fentanyl in the United States. "So we're formally classifying fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction."
Trump signed the order as he awarded service members medals for their work securing the U.S.-Mexico border after aggressive actions the president pushed during the first year of his second term to crack down on illegal immigration.
It is unclear whether the classification will mean significant changes to the Trump administration's efforts to curb the flow of fentanyl, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates killed more than 48,000 Americans in 2024.
The order directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to immediately pursue "investigations and prosecutions" related to fentanyl trafficking. It commands the State and Treasury departments to target assets and financial institutions of people involved in drug trafficking.
The order further calls for War Secretary Pete Hegseth and Bondi to determine whether threats posed by fentanyl warrant resources from the War Department (formerly the Defense Department) and for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to identify networks responsible for smuggling fentanyl to "support the full spectrum of counter-fentanyl operations."
"Illicit fentanyl is closer to a chemical weapon than a narcotic," the order reads. "Two milligrams, an almost undetectable trace amount equivalent to 10 to 15 grains of table salt, constitutes a lethal dose. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have died from fentanyl overdoses." Alabama Gov. Orders Flags at Half-Staff for Brown Shooting Victim Ella Cook

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey (R) ordered flags in the state to be flown at half-staff until sunset on Friday in memory of 19-year-old Ella Cook, one of the victims who was shot and killed at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
“I have directed flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset, Friday, December 19, 2025, in memory of Ella Cook of Mountain Brook,” Ivey wrote in a post on X. “As all of Alabama wraps our arms around Ella’s family in prayer, I also join in mourning her loss.”
Ivey’s post comes as Cook, who served as the vice president of Brown University’s College Republicans group, was identified as one of the victims who was killed after an unidentified gunman opened fire inside a building on campus, leaving two people dead and nine others injured.
In a post on X, Martin Bertao, the President of College Republicans of America, issued a statement saying the organization was “devastated to learn of the loss” of Cook. Bertao said Cook was “known for her bold, brave, and kind heart.”
“We are devastated to learn of the loss of our Brown College Republicans Vice President, Ella Cook,” Bertao said. “Ella was known for her bold, brave, and kind heart as she served her chapter and her fellow classmates. Abba, it's hard to know what to say of this tragedy. We know Your heart is broken for Ella and her family, ours is too. Jesus, You know the beginning from the end for each of us, we ask that You speak to each heart that has been torn by this loss, speak the words that only You can that will bring the peace that passes understanding. We ask for Your presence to be very close to each family member, give each the awareness that You are there, holding them close to Your heart.
Father God, others were lost in this shooting, we ask the same for all whose lives have been shattered, we know only You can put them back together.
Jesus, we ask that the person or people that did this horrible thing will be found, arrested and prosecuted to the highest level allowed by law. We ask for justice for the families that have been so terribly hurt. We ask all of this in the name Yahweh Rapha, The Lord Who Heals.

A source previously told The Jerusalem Post that discussions were underway for a $35b. agreement to export gas from Israel’s Leviathan reservoir to Egypt through 2040. The US administration has reportedly urged Israel to finalize the agreement, with the hope that it could facilitate a meeting between Netanyahu and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi under the auspices of US President Donald Trump.

2. MIT professor shot dead in Brookline home, Massachusetts State Police launch homicide investigation - Fox News
Homicide detectives are investigating after a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) lab director and professor was found shot to death in his Brookline home. Nuno F.G. Loureiro, 47, was taken to a local hospital Monday night with apparent gunshot wounds after the Brookline Police Department received a report of a man shot at his home, according to a statement from the Norfolk District Attorney's Office.
Loureiro was pronounced dead Tuesday morning, the district attorney's office confirmed.
MIT's communications office said Loureiro was a MIT faculty member in the departments of Nuclear Science & Engineering and Physics and the director of MIT’s Plasma Science and Fusion Center.
According to Loureiro’s faculty page, the professor majored in physics at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal, in 2000 and earned a doctorate in physics at Imperial College London, UK, in 2005. (Read more)

3. Major automaker drops $242M to rebuild America’s workforce - DML News
The skilled trades workforce, critical to keeping the country’s infrastructure and economy running, is rapidly declining.
While many companies are working to address the shortage, General Motors has invested hundreds of millions of dollars to build its own pipeline of future workers.
Over the past five years alone, the automaker has invested more than $242 million in its skilled trades apprenticeship program, which is geared toward training the next generation of skilled trade professionals with a combination of classroom instruction and thousands of hours of hands-on experience at a GM facility, Michael Trevorrow, GM’s senior vice president of global manufacturing, told FOX Business.
Participants in the program are getting hands-on experience and schooling simultaneously, while they’re also getting paid. The report explains that the U.S. is struggling to build up the skilled labor workforce, partly because there is a surge of workers set to retire and not enough young workers are replacing them. 4. Police release images of another person of interest amid manhunt for Brown University shooter - DML News
The Providence, Rhode Island police department posted new photos on social media Wednesday afternoon, as the manhunt for the killer in the horrific shooting at Brown University on Saturday.
Officials have been sharing multiple video clips of a masked man walking through the neighborhood at the time leading up to the shooting, and minutes afterward.
However, the grainy images released by the Providence Police Department on Wednesday appear to be a different man, who is unmasked, but is wearing a hooded jacket. “Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying and speaking to the individual shown in these photos who was in proximity of the person of interest. 6. Earthquake swarm strikes California for FOURTH day as officials warn of 72% chance of the 'Big One' hitting California - Daily Mail UK
California has been rattled by multiple earthquake swarms over the past four days, with the latest hitting on Tuesday.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported a 3.1-magnitude quake at 5.53am PT (8.53am ET) near San Ramon, the epicenter of the recent seismic activity.
San Ramon in the East Bay has been the epicenter of this seismic activity, which sits on top of the Calaveras Fault, an active branch of the San Andreas Fault system.
USGS research geophysicist Annemarie Baltay said she is not unusually concerned that the recent earthquakes signal anything larger on the horizon for San Ramon.
'These small events, as all small events are, are not indicative of an impending large earthquake,' Baltay told Patch.
'However, we live in earthquake country, so we should always be prepared for a large event,' she said. 'There is a 72 percent chance of a magnitude 6.7 or larger earthquake occurring anywhere in the Bay Area between now and 2043. So we should all be aware and be prepared.' (Read more)

For years, public-health officials told parents to trust the machinery behind the vaccine schedule for kids. The CDC, FDA, pharmaceutical companies, and their advocacy partners all preached the same line: “safe and effective.” Now, as internal documents and policy reversals surface, those same institutions are quietly retreating from the certainty they once demanded. The CDC softened its autism language. RFK Jr.’s FDA advisory panel voted to delay the Hepatitis B shot for many newborns. FDA emails acknowledged child deaths in connection with the COVID mRNA vaccine. These reversals didn’t come from new science. They came because facts once dismissed as “misinformation” refused to stay buried.

While getting ready to light the first candle of Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights, a terror attack against the Jewish community took place in Sydney, Australia during the “Hanukkah on the Beach” celebration. Israel’s President Isaac Herzog sent a strong appeal to the Australian government to address what he described as an "enormous wave of antisemitism that is plaguing Australian society". This appeal is to all of us—no matter where we are—not to be silent. Please pray for the Jewish community in Sydney, Australia as they are going through the loss of dear ones after this terrible attack and for protection during Hanukkah worldwide.
Thank you for standing together all year round in prayer with us and many others to address the antisemitism within the UN system as watchmen on the wall for Israel, America and the nations. Am Israel Chai.

Dan Bongino to resign from FBI deputy director role in January
|

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is leaving the bureau in January after speculation rose this week concerning his departure.
"I will be leaving my position with the FBI in January," Bongino wrote in an X post Wednesday. "I want to thank President [Donald] Trump, AG [Pam] Bondi, and Director [Kash] Patel for the opportunity to serve with purpose. Most importantly, I want to thank you, my fellow Americans, for the privilege to serve you. God bless America, and all those who defend Her."
President Donald Trump hinted at the news on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews earlier in the afternoon, saying, "Dan did a great job. I think he wants to go back to his show."
Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, had no FBI experience before Trump tapped him to serve in the No. 2 position there. Prior to Bongino, the role had for more than a century been filled by someone who worked at the bureau, according to the FBI Agents Association. The position does not require Senate confirmation.
Fox News confirmed Andrew Bailey, co-deputy director, has been on the job since September and will stay on for now in the deputy role reporting to Patel. (Fox News)

Lord God, we pray for Dan Bongino that he fulfilled this assignment to its fullest. We pray that he comes to know you, serve you, and do the right thing in all he does going forward. We pray the agency of the FBI would be restructured to serve the people and our country. We pray that all corruption would be exposed in Jesus' name, amen.
