12 Ways to Meet Jesus Where He Already Is This Christmas
(Without Adding More to Your To-Do's!)

I was roaming the aisles of HomeGoods, looking for the kind of placemats that you can wipe off – a requirement in my household of unnamed messy crumb-creators. But my eyes landed instead on the glittery Christmas decorations that lined the shelves. This was so much better than placemats. And look over here – don’t I need Christmas hand soap? And dog toys for my doodle’s stocking? Oh, the joy I felt as I found so many “needs.”
And then I got back in my car. I buckled my seatbelt. And a song came on that pierced through the post-HomeGoods-endorphin high and took me to the feet of Jesus. The manufactured Christmas shine and sparkle were replaced by His real presence, right there in the parking lot. With my eyes closed, the engine idling, I thanked God for meeting me inside the quiet of my car. And then I felt His reminder: Jesus was there, with me, in both places.
As we wander the aisles and peruse the shelves of December, with all of its beautiful offerings, what if we can remember that God is with us? Not on the shelf, but in the aisle, right there next to us? As we cross off the lists, light the candles, and fit in our (wonderful) traditions, we are already with Him. He is already with us. He came. He is coming again. And He is already here. I want to invite Him into all of my December days and hold that sweet, constant awareness that He is already here. Abba, we rejoice that You are Emmanuel, God who is with us! We celebrate the birth of Christ, remembering that You are our High Priest. During the busiest time for distraction, may believers and intercessors everywhere remain focused on Jesus' faithful presence in our hearts and homes. We praise You for JOY experienced as we celebrate the birth of Yeshua, our Lord and King. Let us live undistracted by 'to do' lists, but remind us O' Lord to number our days, that we may live in accordance to Your holy ways, plans and purposes for our lives. Why Christmas Remains the Church's Greatest Opportunity to Spread its Message

There are few moments left in American life when the name of Jesus can still be spoken
publicly, boldly, and without apology--and Christmas remains one of them.
Despite decades of cultural change, political division, and declining church attendance,
Christmas still holds a unique place in the national soul. According to research from Lifeway,
91% of Americans celebrate Christmas, including large majorities of Catholics and
Protestants--and even 82% of those who claim no religious affiliation at all.
That reality alone should cause the Church to pause and recognize the moment for what it
is: a rare and powerful opening in a crowded, distracted culture.
Christmas is not just a holiday. It is a cultural reset. A season when people slow down,
gather with family, reflect on meaning, and--often without realizing it--search for hope.
And that search brings many of them straight to church doors.

Abba, this article in many ways gives hope for for those who come to Christmas services seeking help or hope, or maybe they aren't just sure but You have already been speaking to their hearts and they are responding to the God they don't really know. Father God, we ask that people come for all those reasons and reasons we don't understand. Bring them like little children, open their hearts and minds to the possibility that You DO Exist, that Your love for them is real.
We ask Holy Spirit to speak to the hearts of every shepherd who will be responsible for speaking Your words to Your sheep.. We ask for a new visitation of Jesus to each one, creating new relationships, renewing old ones, bringing life to those who will receive it. Let Your presence fill every church this Christmas, bring truth and love and holiness to our dry, hungry hearts, fill Your people with Joy and Peace. Remind us of the covenant You made with us and for us...a covenant of deep abiding love and acceptance. We ask this in the name Yahweh-M'Kaddesh, The Lord Who Sanctifies, Makes Holy.

The Boast That Should Alarm America:
Newsom's Trans Agenda and the Road to 2028
|

Governor Gavin Newsom did not whisper his intentions. He did not hedge. He did not soften the edges. On The Ezra Klein Show earlier this month, Newsom made it unmistakably clear that his record on transgender policy is not a footnote--it is a point of pride. "I want to see trans kids," he said. "I have a trans godson. There's no governor that signed more pro-trans legislation than I have, and no one's been a stronger advocate for the LGBTQ community."
That statement should be treated not as a moment of personal reflection, but as a warning shot. Newsom is widely viewed as the overwhelming favorite for the Democratic nomination in 2028, and this was not an accidental remark. It was a preview. If California has been a laboratory for progressive social policy, Newsom is now signaling that he intends to export the model nationwide.
At the center of the concern is not compassion. Most Americans--including conservatives--agree that every human being deserves dignity and protection from violence or harassment. The concern is ideology: when compassion is fused with coercion, when biological reality is treated as optional, and when parental rights, women's sports, medical caution, and free speech are sacrificed on the altar of political virtue. Abba, the US and our leadership need Your help. The enemy is again threatening to turn our society upside down through the belief that man can change whether a person is male or female, irrespective of what sex they were at birth. The concept of accepting Trans ideology is on the top of the list for the upcoming Presidential race in 2028, if Gavin Newsom's rhetoric gains support. Father God, we ask You to intervene in the hearts of men, let Your truth be spoken again and again until hardened hearts are softened. We ask for fires to ignite as Your truth is preached, Your words have power to turn us around, to renew our hearts and minds so they no longer accept the lies of the enemy. We ask for the revival that has started to be just the beginning of our nation, our world turning back to their creator, to the love You have for Your kids. We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

Trump Expresses Friendship, Love, Support for Jews at White House Hanukkah Celebration
|

“As president of the United States, I will always support Jewish Americans, and I will always be a friend and a champion to the Jewish people,” US President Donald Trump told attendees of the White House’s Hanukkah celebration on Tuesday. “We love you, and we love Israel,” he added.
During his speech, Trump drew extensive parallels between the story of Hanukkah and the story of the modern Jewish people’s resilience and strength.
This was particularly pertinent given the recent antisemitic terror attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, on the first night of the holiday.
“Let me take a moment to send love and prayers to our entire nation, to the people of Australia, and especially all those affected by the horrific and antisemitic terrorist attack,” Trump said. “We’ve joined in mourning all of those who were killed, and we’re praying for the swift recovery of the wounded. Some are very horrifically wounded, as you probably know. All nations must stand together against the evil forces of radical Islamic terrorism.”

We ask You to be in the midst of the relationship between President Trump and PM Netanyahu, keep their hearts attuned to You first and one another second. Holy Spirit we ask You to make pathways through controversy for them to be able to remain connected and committed to one another's country.
Your word says that You will bless those who bless Israel, so we ask You to please bless both the Uniited States and Israel as we walk out 2026 together. We ask this in the name Yahweh Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.

1. In move to deter Turkey, Israel explores creation of rapid-response force with Greece, Cyprus -Jerusalem Post
Senior officials from Israel, Greece, and Cyprus are discussing the possibility of establishing a rapid-response force composed of units from the armed forces of the three countries, three people familiar with the matter told The Jerusalem Post.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to deter Turkey’s military and strategic activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, they said.
According to the sources, the security initiative is currently in the preliminary review and planning stages.
It is intended to strengthen strategic military cooperation among the three countries amid rising regional tensions. The force would not be a permanent standing unit but one that could be deployed quickly in times of crisis on land, at sea, or in the air. (Read more)

2. Violent clashes in Jerusalem leave 10 police officers injured - Israel National News
Ten police officers were injured in clashes that broke out Thursday afternoon in Jerusalem after a parking inspector issued a ticket to young haredi men, likely draft dodgers, near the city's Bar Ilan Street.
The police clarified that it was just a parking ticket and had no connection to the IDF.
Numerous police forces were called to the scene, where a crowd surrounded them. The rioters overturned a police vehicle and threw stones and trash at it. The police used crowd dispersal methods, including tear gas, to clear the area. Four rioters were arrested.

3. IDF targets Hezbollah weapons depot, training camp in southern Lebanon
- Jerusalem Post
The IDF struck Hezbollah terror infrastructure across Lebanon, and, minutes later, conducted a follow-up strike on a terrorist operative in southern Lebanon, the military announced on Thursday.
In the earlier attacks, including some which the IDF said were deep inside Lebanon, it struck Hezbollah artillery launch sites, weapons storage facilities, and a military training camp.
“As part of the training and education at the camp, the organization's terrorists underwent shooting drills and additional training in the use of various types of weapons, in order to plan and execute terrorist plots against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel,” the military stated.
The military noted that the terror infrastructure it struck had been recently used by Hezbollah, which is in direct violation of the ceasefire. (Read more)

4. ‘We’ll have to pass,’ UN officials say when asked for any positive message about Israel amid holiday season - JNS
Perhaps in search of a Chanukah and holiday season miracle, JNS asked many of the high-ranking United Nations officials, including those who denounce Israel regularly, if they spare a few words about something—anything—that Israel is doing right and honorably, in a manner that could be a model for others.
What, do they believe, can Israelis be most proud of their country accomplishing, even amid all of the rest of the criticism that the United Nations has leveled at the Jewish state, JNS asked.
Not a single U.N. official responded with any positive message about Israel, and many did not respond to JNS queries at all.
“It’s quite damning that no one at the United Nations, with offices in 193 countries and 37,000 employees—the world’s largest universal multilateral international organization—has anything positive to say about the only democracy in the Middle East,” Danny Danon, the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations in New York, told JNS. 5. Jewish children in the UK, fearing terror attacks, ask for police protection at Chanukah parties - World Israel News
Jewish children in the UK are requesting armed police presence at Chanukah celebrations, a sign of how fear has taken hold within Jewish communities amid rising antisemitism and recent terrorist attacks, Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Sir Stephen Watson said this week.
Watson’s comments came as police forces in Manchester and London announced a tougher enforcement posture toward protest language they say now carries heightened risk.
He said slogans such as “Globalize the intifada,” when chanted at demonstrations, will be treated as grounds for arrest given the current security environment. “What I can tell you is that if you do that this weekend, my officers will arrest you,” Watson said. “Words have meaning and consequence. We will act decisively and make arrests.”
Speaking at a Policy Exchange event in London, Watson described how concerns once discussed in abstract terms have become immediate and personal. (Read more)

1. Alleged Sydney terror gunman charged with 15 counts of murder – JNS News
Australian prosecutors charged the surviving accused gunman with 59 terror-related offenses over the Chanukah attack that killed 15 and wounded dozens.
The surviving alleged gunman in the Bondi Beach terrorist attack has been charged with 59 offenses, including 15 counts of murder and one count of committing a terrorist act, Australian authorities said on Wednesday.
Naveed Akram, 24, awoke from a medically induced coma on Tuesday and faced court via video conference from his hospital bed, where he remains under police guard after sustaining injuries during an exchange of gunfire with officers.
Police shot and killed Akram’s father, Sajid, 50, the second accused gunman, at the scene.
The charges set forth by the New South Wales Joint Counter Terrorism Team also include 40 counts of causing wounding or grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, publicly displaying a prohibited terrorist organization’s symbol and placing an explosive in or near a building. Father God, all who love Israel are saddened by this incident of anti-Semitism and pray that action will be taken appropriate to the gravity of this crime against a whole group of people. We pray that the authorities involved, and in deed the whole country, will rethink the leniency of the immigration laws and the lax enforcement of standards that will keep a country safe. We pray that they will heed Premier Netanyahu's call for laws and policies that protect the Jewish population there. We pray for those who love the Jews will have a much bigger voice than those who are unknowledgeable or prejudiced against the Jewish people. Thank You, Lord.

2. Senate Passes $900 Billion Defense Bill, Sending It to Trump’s Desk – The Epoch Times
The U.S. Senate on the evening of Dec. 15 gave the green light to a $901 billion draft of the must-pass National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which sets defense policy and funding levels for the upcoming fiscal year.
The Senate approved the bill in a bipartisan 77–20 vote.
It will now head to President Donald Trump’s desk to be signed into law.
The bill had already been passed by a wide bipartisan margin in the U.S. House, which approved the legislation in a 312–112 vote on Dec. 10. Eighteen Republicans and 94 Democrats voted against the package there.
This draft—the most recent of several proposals for the mammoth Pentagon bill—was offered as a compromise between previous versions of the legislation brought by the House and the Senate. Read more

3. Venezuela denounces Trump's order for ship blockade as 'warmongering threats' - BBC
US President Donald Trump has ordered "a total and complete" blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela - a move denounced by Caracas as "warmongering threats".
Trump wrote that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro's government had been designated a foreign terrorist organisation (FTO), which had also engaged in "Drug Smuggling, and Human Trafficking".
His remarks come after the US seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela last week, a significant action in light of the South American nation's reliance on oil.
The US has also recently conducted deadly strikes on alleged Venezuelan drug-smuggling boats,and has significantly built up its naval presence nearby. (Read more)

Our Precious Lord, how we look to You to watch over this action by President Trump so that he has You divine wisdom as to each action to take. Speak to him in the night or in the day and giver him strategies that will work to end the terrorism emanating from that country. Give the mind of Christ to direct any necessary hostilities as it involves the lives of our precious young people. 4. US imposes travel ban on Palestinian Authority passport holders, citing war, terror - Times of Israel
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday expanded a travel ban by barring Palestinian Authority passport holders from entering the United States, along with banning five other nationalities.
In a social media post, a White House account said that Trump, who has long campaigned to restrict immigration, was acting “to protect the security of the United States.”
The policy announced Tuesday will go into effect on January 1, 2026. In June, Trump had announced that citizens of 12 countries would be banned from visiting the United States and those from seven others would face restrictions. The decision resurrected a hallmark policy of his first term.
Tuesday’s announcement also said citizens from Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan and Syria would be barred from entry. Read more

Those that have Palestinian Authority passports and all other nations seeking violence to our people should have been banned. Lord, we ask for your divine protection for President Trump and the United States of America as he makes difficult decisions concerning this. We ask You, Father, to uncover and bring to light those who are funding this violence and stop it! Silence the naysayers in our government that are not in agreement with this ban. 5. Ukraine Energy Sector in Permanent Crisis Due to Relentless Russian Strikes – Daily Power Cuts Affecting All Regions – The Gateway Pundit

Ukraine’s energy sector is living under extreme circumstances, as the constant Russian drone and missile attacks wreak havoc in the country’s power generation and transmission.

Our hearts grieve for the Ukrainian people and their country. We ask You, Father, to restore the DTEK's energy grid and the networks that transfer their power. The extreme circumstances of constant Russian drone and missile attacks causing power cuts to 5.6 million Ukrainians during this winter season is horrific and so dangerous! God, you are the only one who can end this wicked war and bring it to an end. We cry out for mercy for all people who are in the midst of despair! Restore the power systems and keep them warm! 6. Israel examining possibility Iran involved in murder of nuclear scientist in US - report - Jerusalem Post
Israeli officials are examining intelligence from recent days that suggests an Iranian connection to the murder of Prof. Nuno Loureiro, a senior nuclear scientist at MIT, who was shot dead in his home in Brookline, Massachusetts, on Monday evening.
This is an assessment that has not yet been verified and is not supported at this stage by official findings from the investigative authorities in the United States.
Prof. Loureiro, who had previously spoken out in favor of Israel, was a 47-year-old Portuguese-born world-renowned plasma and nuclear fusion researcher.
After being found wounded in his home, he was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead hours later. Brookline police and the Massachusetts District Attorney's Office have opened a murder investigation, but so far no suspects have been arrested, and no motive has been released. (Read more)

We pray for the family of 47 year old Professor Nano Loureiro who was shot and killed at his home in Massachusetts. We ask that you bring comfort to his wife and children as they mourn the loss of their husband and father. Thank you, Lord, that the United States authorities have issued a criminal investigation into the death of this senior nuclear scientist at MIT. We thank you, also, Father, that Israeli officials are examining evidence from recent days that suggest an Iranian connection to the murder of Professor Loureino. Once again, we ask that everything be exposed and brought to light as You give the authorities and the forensic teams the wisdom and discernment they need to find, arrest and to bring to justice this murderer. In Jesus' name, we offer this prayer, Amen.

The Islamist Terror Shell Game

Reports that Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) is expanding its military footprint inside Syria with the regime’s awareness confirm what many already recognize. Whether the group is Hamas, PIJ, Hezbollah or any of their ideological cousins, they operate like interchangeable pieces on the same board. They are aligned, and the coordination between them is far deeper than most realize. Which is why even a determined negotiator like President Trump runs into the same brick wall. It doesn’t matter whether it’s with Syria’s Ahmed al-Sharaa or a New York’s Mamdani making excuses for Hamas. The attacks on Israel and America persist because the broader network behind them remains untouched with interchangeable assets.
The glue that binds them traditionally has run straight through Tehran. For over twenty years, Iran has funded, armed and trained the major Islamist terror factions across the region. Former Pennsylvania Congressman Kurt Weldon warned in 2005 that Iran had formed a coordinating hub called the “Committee of Nine,” which he said had been operational since 2003. Its purpose was simple and deadly: manage and support international terrorist operations. Weldon outlined how this structure worked with al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Ansar al Islam and others. Iran wasn’t just a sponsor. It was the central nervous system. Trump Announces $1,776 ‘Warrior Dividends’ to Military Members
|

|
President Donald Trump on Dec. 17 announced that more than a million military service members will receive a $1,776 “warrior dividend” bonus before Christmas.
Trump delivered an address to the nation from the White House on Wednesday night, laying out the road ahead for 2026. He highlighted the Pentagon’s efforts to destroy multiple Iranian nuclear facilities this year and his administration’s efforts to reach a cease-fire between Israel and terrorist group Hamas.
“Tonight, I am also proud to announce that more than 1,450,000 military service members will receive a special—we call warrior dividend—before Christmas,” Trump said in his speech. “A warrior dividend in honor of our nation’s founding in 1776. We are sending every soldier $1,776.”
The U.S. military had 1.3 million members on active duty, and 2.6 million total service members, including National Guardsmen and civilian personnel, as of Sept. 30, according to government data.
The president said the checks are “already on the way” to members of the military.

FAA Says It Will Commit $6 Billion to Air Traffic Control Modernization by Dec. 31
|
|
|
|
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) plans to commit $6 billion by the end of the year to upgrades to the nation’s air traffic control telecommunications infrastructure and radar systems, which it plans to deploy by the end of 2028, the agency’s administrator said on Dec. 17.
FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford testified to Congress on Dec. 17 to give updates on the agency’s progress in its ambitious three- to four-year air traffic control upgrade and modernization project, which will include replacing old copper telecommunication lines and decades-old radar systems and implementing ground surveillance technology on runways.
Issues with the FAA’s aging telecomm infrastructure led to a series of critical communications blackouts at Newark Liberty International Airport earlier this year.
“By the end of the year, we will have six to six and a half billion [dollars] of the One Big, Beautiful Bill committed to modernization,’ Bedford told lawmakers, referring to President Donald Trump’s tax cuts and spending bill package passed by Congress in July.
In the bill, Congress allocated $12.5 billion toward the FAA’s modernization project, but Bedford has said the FAA needs another $20 billion to complete the three- to four-year effort.

Lord God of the Airways, we know that anyone following the news this past year
must know that we need changes and upgrades across the aviation industry,
following a number of plane crashes this year, as well as several ‘near misses’.
Lord, we are so grateful that the government will now drastically move up the
schedule for maintenance and upgrades starting the end of 2025! Thank You,
Jehovah Jireh; You know just what we need. We thank You that all work will be
completed in 2 ½--3 years as opposed to 2038.
We bring Peraton before Your throne of grace and ask for wisdom, integrity,
discernment and innovative, safe procedures as they supervise the various teams
and companies executing the direly needed repairs and upgrades. Father God, we
ask for an abundance of Your grace and mercy while the improvements are being
made. Grant the FAA and US citizens Your angels and supernatural protection.
Remind Your intercessors to continue to pray for safe travel and for perfect
implementation of the repairs and replacements. Thank You, Lord, for the blood

Deadly windstorm packs gusts over 140 mph, knocking out power in Northwest, Rockies
|

Three-quarters of a million residents lost power Wednesday and Thursday from Seattle to Denver as winds over 100 mph wreaked havoc and killed at least one person.
High winds slammed the Pacific Northwest and Rockies Wednesday and Wednesday night, cutting power to three-quarters of a million customers at peak, according to PowerOutage.US. That number was down to 325,000 as of Thursday morning.
The highest wind gusts in the region were on mountain tops — 144 mph at Mount Coffin, Wyoming, 142 mph at Coldwater Ridge, Washington, and 138 mph at Mount Hood, Oregon. Winds gusted over 100 mph on mountaintops in at least nine different states.
Storm becomes deadly in Idaho
A 55-year-old man was killed in Fernan, Idaho, when a tree fell through his roof onto his bed, the Kootenai Sheriff's office reported. Additionally, two children were critically injured in Twin Falls County, when strong winds knocked over large trees, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Widespread damage in Washington, Oregon
Trees and power lines were reported down across Washington and Oregon early Wednesday. The damage comes quickly on the heels of historic flooding in the same region.
