"My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can't wait to watch our son become a big brother," she wrote. "My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth."

US Strikes ISIS in Nigeria: Trump
|
|
U.S. President Donald Trump announced a “powerful and deadly strike” targeting the ISIS terrorist group in northwest Nigeria on Dec. 25.
Trump said on Truth Social that the terrorists targeted have been “viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!”
He said the group had not heeded warnings, leading to the Christmas night strike.
“I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was,” the U.S. president wrote.
“The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing. Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper.
“May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Lord, we thank You that President Trump has begun moving to help the persecuted Christians in Nigeria by destroying the evil that has killed so many. We pray that our leadership will also move to help the persecuted church in other areas.

South Carolina Republicans Sweep Special Elections
|
|
South Carolina Republicans won all three special elections in the state’s legislature on Tuesday, with the party saying the results “send a clear message.”
Reps. John Lastinger, Dianne Mitchell, and Sen. Lee Bright all handily won their races, with 8,729 ballots cast.
Mitchell and Bright garnered over 70 and 67 percent respectively, with no one else on either ballot. The remainder of the votes went to various write-in candidates.
Lastinger, a pastor, beat Democrat retired Army Col. Joseph “Chuck” Hightower 62-37, with less than one percent going to write-in candidates.
Voter turnout was low, with just about seven percent of registered voters in State House Districts 21 and 88 and State Senate District 12 casting a ballot. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Lord, we ask that Your righteous choices for all offices be the winners. We bind every plan of the enemy to destroy that righteousness and pray that You will prevail over all the midterm elections both the special ones and regular ones.

Russian forces near collapse in Kupyansk as Moscow allies concede city lost: report
|
|
Russian forces appear close to being pushed out of the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kupyansk, with only a small number of isolated troops remaining and even pro-Kremlin voices acknowledging the setback, according to a report.
The Kyiv Post reported Thursday that Ukrainian military officials say Russian units left inside the city are cut off from reliable supply lines and are increasingly surrendering as their position deteriorates.
Viktor Trehubov, head of communications for Ukraine’s Joint Forces grouping, said Russian forces inside Kupyansk now number only several dozen and include foreign mercenaries fighting alongside Moscow’s troops.
"They are surrendering," Trehubov said during a televised briefing carried by Ukrainian state media. "There have even been cases of foreigners — foreign mercenaries for the Russians — giving themselves up." (Fox News) Read more here.

Lord, we ask that Your Spirit move across both Ukraine and Russia, changing hearts and minds. We pray that more groups will put down their arms. We bind the demonic realms that are destroying lives on both sides and in the mighty Name of Jesus and by the power of His Blood we command them to stop.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Winter weather alerts issued for over 60 million as Big Apple could see the most snow it’s had in years
|
|
Let it snow, let it snow …
New York is expected to get blanketed with up to 10 inches of snow starting later Friday, the most in nearly four years. The white stuff is expected to start falling in the city around 5 p.m. in a massive storm that has left more than 60 million Americans facing winter weather alerts a day late for a white Christmas.
It will then likely intensify later, with more than an inch falling in some hours — and even more than two inches falling per hour at times, according to the New York National Weather Service (NWS).
“Some areas could exceed 10 inches,” the New York office said, with areas like Kerhonkson in Ulster County getting some of the worst.
In the Big Apple, parts of the Bronx could get almost eight inches, with parts of Brooklyn, including Gravesend and Sheepshead Bay, getting around 6.6 inches, according to the NWS’ precipitation portal. (New York Post) Read more here.

|
Lord, we pray for You to mitigate the weather in these areas, to protect those who must venture out into the cold. We also pray for those who may not be able to sustain their heating. Let Your Spirit help them!

These are the key issues at the Trump-Netanyahu Florida summit
|
|
|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to arrive in Florida on Sunday, December 28, for a meeting with US President Donald Trump. He is likely to remain in the US for about five days and return to Israel on January 1.
During the visit, an additional meeting between the two leaders is also possible, as previously revealed by Israel Hayom. Netanyahu is also scheduled to meet with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as well as with evangelical figures, public officials and representatives of Jewish communities.
Key issues on the agenda
The central topics to be discussed by the two leaders are the front against Iran and the implementation of Phase Two of the American president's 20-point plan for the Gaza Strip.
Unlike Netanyahu's previous visits, which took place at the White House in Washington, this time he is expected to meet Trump at the president's private residence, the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where Trump is staying for the holiday period. The prime minister is not expected to stay at Mar-a-Lago itself but rather at a hotel in Palm Beach. (Israel Hayom) Read more here.

God of Israel, we pray that this meeting goes well and that there will be truth between the two leaders. We ask that The Holy Spirit touch both men and bring wisdom to both. Give them knowledge and understanding for the benefit of Your people and those who dwell in the Middle East.
“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore.” (Psalm 125:2)

1. IDF gets first combat-ready laser interception system - JNS
The first operational high-power laser interception system, dubbed “Iron Beam,” has been delivered to the Israel Defense Forces from Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced on Sunday.
The system, which has successfully intercepted rockets, mortar shells, and drones during extensive testing, will be integrated into the Israeli Air Force and incorporated into Israel’s multi-layered air-defense array alongside the Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Arrow systems.
“Certain events truly merit the designation ‘historic milestone’ in the most precise sense,” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said. “For the first time globally, a high-power laser interception system has achieved full operational maturity. … This monumental achievement changes the rules of engagement and delivers a critical message to our enemies, near and far: Do not challenge us, or face severe consequences.” (Read more)

2. Israel abducts PIJ terrorists involved in abduction of Ran Gvili - World Israel News
Israel has stepped up efforts to retrieve the remains of the final Israeli hostage in Gaza, Staff Sgt. Maj. Ran Gvili, by detaining a terrorist who was involved in his abduction and knows his whereabouts, Asharq Al-Awsat reports.
The action coincides with a stalling of the cease-fire agreement, with Israeli sources saying they believe Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad are aware of the location of the remains, and the terror groups claiming they are unable to find them.
According to the Saudi report, the detained Palestinian Islamic Jihad member was seized in central Gaza City, near Palestine Square. The IDF declined to comment on the report, Army Radio said.
Israeli security sources say responsibility for locating Gvili’s remains lies squarely with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. “Hamas and the PIJ know where Gvili’s remains are located, and have the ability to find them. The problem is they are not motivated to do so,” a security source told Maariv earlier this month. “We believe they can put in more effort.” (Read more)

1. DOJ Decides If Government Agency Can Perform Abortions – Daily Signal
The Department of Justice has reversed the Biden administration’s decision to allow Department of Veterans Affairs doctors to perform abortions on the taxpayers’ dime.
After the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Biden administration told Veterans Affairs doctors that they could perform abortions, even though federal law prohibits taxpayers from funding abortion.
In 2022, the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel advised that federal law authorizes the Department of Veterans Affairs and its employees to provide abortion services.
Trump’s Office of Legal Counsel on Dec. 18 withdrew this opinion, instead saying that the VA may not provide abortion services.
“DOJ’s opinion states that VA is not legally authorized to provide abortions, and VA is complying with it immediately,” VA press secretary Peter Kasperowicz told The Daily Signal. “DOJ’s opinion is consistent with VA’s proposed rule, which continues to work its way through the regulatory process.”
In 1992, Congress passed the Veterans Health Care Act, amending Title 38 of the U.S. Code to expand and improve health care for female veterans. The law orders the VA to provide “[g]eneral reproductive health care” to women, but it expressly prohibits “infertility services, abortions, or pregnancy care (including prenatal and delivery care), except for such care relating to a pregnancy that is complicated or in which the risks of complication are increased by a service-connected condition.” (Read more)

Lord God of Justice, we pray that You will bring truth to the lie that abortion is “healthcare.” Let no more innocent blood be shed in America or any of its agencies.

2. Five Republican Wins That Made Christmas Better- The Daily Caller
Republicans headed into Christmas with a string of developments that reinforced their electoral footing, legal strategy, and governing momentum.
From holding a competitive House seat to locking in a major confirmation, the party closed the year with tangible wins rather than talking points. Taken together, these moments offered the GOP fresh proof of durability heading into 2026.
> > > 1. GOP Holds Tennessee Seat In Crucial Special Election
Republicans successfully defended a critical House seat in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, keeping it firmly in GOP hands after a closely watched special election. Republican Tennessee Rep. Matt Van Epps defeated Democrat Aftyn Behn with 52.4% of the vote as returns neared completion.
The race followed the July resignation of former Republican Tennessee Rep. Mark Green and attracted heavy spending from both parties despite the district’s Republican history. Van Epps’ victory reassured GOP strategists that even high-profile vacancies in competitive districts can stay red.
> > > 2. Republicans Rack Up Election Integrity Court Victories
While attention focused on President Donald Trump’s fast-moving agenda, the Republican National Committee quietly secured multiple election-law wins in court. The RNC prevailed in key legal battles across Arizona, Georgia, and Washington tied to election procedures and safeguards. (Read more)

3. Report: Crime Drops at Record Rate in Trump’s America – Breitbart
President Donald Trump’s administration is forcing down the huge crime waves overseen by Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, according to a crime report posted by Axios.com.
“U.S. murders on pace for largest one-year drop on record,” says Axios.com’s coverage of the data collected by the Real Time Crime Index site, which compiles data from 570 law enforcement agencies.
The site shows almost 7,300 murders during the 12 months up to October 2025, compared to 8,852 in the 12 months before the May 2020 death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minn.
The murder rate spiked to 12,000 in the subsequent 12 months of Democratic cheerleading for a “racial reckoning” and “Black Lives Matter.”
Trump’s lower 2025 murder rate is below the 8,192 seen in the 12 months before April 2019.
That record is saving the lives of thousands of Americans compared to Biden and Obama, who helped trigger a crime wave just before the 2014 mid-term election by endorsing claims that police officers were shooting many African-Americans. (Read more)

Lord, we thank You that the crime rate is dropping. We ask that Your Spirit bring about both a revival for Your church and an opportunity for those who do not believe. May Your power be manifest and righteous change come to all hearts.

4. Trump Halts Green Card Lottery That Admitted Brown and MIT Shooting Suspect- Washington Free Beacon
President Donald Trump on Thursday suspended a federal green card lottery program after authorities confirmed that the suspect in the deadly shootings at Brown University and the killing of an MIT professor entered the United States through the program.
"This heinous individual should never have been allowed in our country," Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem said, announcing that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services would pause the program at Trump’s discretion. Investigators identified the suspect as Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, a Portuguese national who obtained a green card through the diversity visa lottery in 2017, according to the Boston Globe.
Neves Valente, 48, is suspected of killing two Brown University students, wounding nine others, and murdering an MIT professor before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to authorities. (Read more)

5. Criminals Are Now Using AI To Impersonate Senior U.S. Officials, FBI Warns- Daily Wire
The Federal Bureau of Investigation released an alert on Dec. 19 warning that phony text messages and AI are being used to scam people in the orbits of high-level government officials in the United States.
“Since at least 2023, malicious actors have sent text messages and AI-generated voice messages — techniques known as smishing and vishing, respectively — that claim to come from a senior U.S. official to establish rapport with targeted individuals,” The FBI wrote in an announcement.
The bureau released a similar Public Service Announcement in May. It’s becoming increasingly common over the past two years for people to be duped by fake officials, including those from the Cabinet, Congress, and even the White House, according to the alert.
“Malicious actors are impersonating senior U.S. officials via text and AI-generated voice messages and targeting their contacts, including family members,” the FBI wrote in a recent tweet on the issue. The alert noted that they will typically want to talk about policy or the news before getting them to another platform to continue the scam.
“In this scheme, actors reach out to victims and engage them in a brief conversation on a topic they are knowledgeable about. They quickly request to move the discussion to a secondary, encrypted messaging app,” the agency added.
When the “malicious actor” is able to move the conversation to an encrypted messaging software, like Signal or Telegram, they then might be asked to give away sensitive information like a passport, a code that would allow access to the “victim’s contact list,” and even “wire funds to an overseas financial institution under false pretenses.” As for the contact list request, it allows scammers to target others within that individual’s circle. Holy Lord, we ask that You protect members of the Trump administration from the impersonation by AI which can harm them or others.

6. Democratic Rep. Joyce Beatty sues to remove Trump's name from Kennedy Center – ABC
House Democratic Rep. Joyce Beatty sued President Donald Trump on Monday -- hoping to force the removal of his name from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
The lawsuit from the congresswoman, who serves an ex-officio member of the board, argues that the board’s vote to rename the building was illegal because an act of Congress is required for such an action.
"This is a flagrant violation of the rule of law, and it flies in the face of our constitutional order. Congress intended the Center to be a living memorial to President Kennedy -- and a crown jewel of the arts for all Americans, irrespective of party. Unless and until this Court intervenes, Defendants will continue to defy Congress and thwart the law for improper ends," the lawsuit states.
Asked for comment on the lawsuit, White House spokesperson Liz Huston instead told ABC News in a statement that the Kennedy Center's board voted to rename it after Trump "stepped up and saved the old Kennedy Center ..." (Read more)

End Of Year Peace Push: Trump To Host Ukraine’s Zelensky At Mar-A-Lago

President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are set to meet again on Sunday (yesterday) — this time at Mar-a-Lago — in hopes of moving closer to a finalized peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.
Zelensky confirmed in an early morning post on Friday that he would be meeting with Trump “in the near future,” and Ukrainian officials said the meeting was scheduled for Sunday, Axios reported. A White House official confirmed to the New York Post on Friday morning that the meeting will take place at Trump’s massive Florida estate, where he is expected to remain until January 4.
“We are not losing a single day. We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level – with President Trump in the near future. A lot can be decided before the New Year. Glory to Ukraine!” said Zelensky. (Daily Wire) Read more here.

Supreme Court case on protecting women's sports set for oral arguments in January
|
|
|
A date is set for oral arguments for two Supreme Court battles that could determine the future of women's sports. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, will be the day SCOTUS justices hear arguments in the Little v. Hecox and West Virginia v. B.P.J. cases, which address the constitutional rights of states to ban biological males from women's and girls sports.
However, Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador, a leading defense attorney in Little v. Hecox, previously told Fox News Digital he hopes the Supreme Court's decision will have a more sweeping impact than simply addressing the rights of states.
"I think they're going to have a big ruling on whether men can participate in women's sports, and, more importantly, how to determine whether transgender individuals are protected by the federal Constitution and state and federal laws," Labrador said.
John Bursch of Alliance of Defending Freedom, a firm working with the defense of both cases, suggested the firm won't lean on the argument that trans athlete laws should be a states' rights issue. He would argue a bigger picture issue. "I don't think we need to do that," Bursch said of making the states' rights argument. "It's clearly the right result under Title IX, under the equal protection clause and under common sense, that men and women are different." (Fox News) Read more here.

Holy Lord, we pray that the truth will prevail over this issue. We ask that women’s sports and the safety of girls and women be protected by a wise ruling from the courts.

Judge files lawsuit seeking to overturn Supreme Court's gay marriage ruling
|
|
|
A Texas judge who refused to marry same-sex couples because of her faith has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to overturn the 2015 U.S. Supreme Court decision that recognized same-sex marriage nationwide.
Judge Dianne Hensley, who has served as a justice of the peace in Waco, Texas, since 2015, filed a lawsuit Friday in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas against the State Commission on Judicial Conduct, an agency with which Hensley has been involved in a years-long legal battle. Represented by former Texas Solicitor General Jonathan Mitchell, Hensley contends that the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision is unconstitutional.
"Officiating a wedding ceremony is speech, and the commissioners are preventing Judge Hensley from engaging in this speech unless she agrees to perform homosexual marriages in violation of her Christian faith and in violation of Texas law," the filing reads.
Hensley and other Waco judges and justices of the peace stopped officiating weddings altogether after the Supreme Court made same-sex marriage a national right. Instead, any same-sex couple that asked Hensley to perform a marriage ceremony received a statement apologizing for what Hensley described as a “sincerely held religious belief as a Christian” that prohibits her from officiating such ceremonies, ABC affiliate KXXV-TV reported.
“I have no desire to offend anybody, but the last person I want to offend is God,” she previously told the station. “So I’m entitled to accommodations just as much as anyone else.”
In November of that year, Hensley was publicly sanctioned for refusing to perform same-sex weddings after the State Commission on Judicial Conduct alleged she violated a canon of judicial conduct prohibiting judges from engaging in conduct outside their judicial role.
The commission rescinded that ruling in September 2024, in light of a decision issued by the Texas Supreme Court. (Christian Post) Read more here,.

More House Republicans are leaving Congress to run for governor than in decades amid frustration over ‘toxic environment’
|
|
|
Congressional Republicans have yet to break the record for most retirements in a single year, but some say it’s only a matter of time before widespread frustration with the current state of Washington leads to a tipping point as many in the party head for the exits.
The 10 House Republicans seeking gubernatorial offices in their states this election cycle is the most who have run from either party in the available data compiled by CNN dating back to 1974. From Arizona to Florida to South Carolina, an increasing number of GOP lawmakers feel like they can better implement President Donald Trump’s agenda at the state level than as part of a narrow majority in Congress.
“I just think that I’ll have more impact as a chief executive versus being a legislator,” Rep. Tom Tiffany, who is running for governor of Wisconsin, told CNN. “The basic question is where can I do the most good for the people in the state of Wisconsin? And I believe that it is as governor.”
While most Republicans departing Congress leave behind them safe seats that will be easy for their party to fill, the departures underscore the broader discontent that members say comes with the job – from gridlock that makes it difficult to pass legislation to security threats they and their families face from being in the public eye. Archaeology in 2025: Here Are Several of This Year’s Most Fascinating Ancient Discoveries
|
|
|
Many fascinating discoveries and new insights into the curiosities of the ancient world have been unearthed throughout 2025.
Archaeological findings over the last 12 months have helped push back the timescales for ancient construction in Europe and elsewhere, while the unearthing of unique artifacts has added new clues to our understanding of ancient life. Additionally, several discoveries in 2025 have even helped bridge the gap between ancient history and mythology.
A 4,000-Year-Old Labyrinth Rewrites an Ancient Myth
The unearthing of a massive, 4,000-year-old labyrinthine structure in Crete, hailed by researchers as among the most important finds of the century, captured headlines in 2025 as new details about the curious site, initially discovered in 2024, continue to emerge.
A 5,000-Year-Old Spanish Tomb Reveals a Connected Ancient World
This year, the discovery of a 5,000-year-old tomb in Spain revealed unexpected evidence of long-distance cultural and material exchange in ancient Europe. Artifacts found at the site suggest that ancient communities were far more interconnected than previously assumed, sharing ideas, technologies, and symbolic practices across vast regions.
Pompeii Continues to Yield Surprises
Excavations at Pompeii once again reshaped historians’ understanding of Roman life. This year, the intriguing placement stairway led archaeologists to evidence of a “lost” portion of the ancient city, thanks to modern 3D digital reconstructions that reveal how much of the ancient settlement was lost during the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Vesuvius and how it might have looked nearly 2000 years ago.
Sunken Megaliths Off France Push Back Europe’s Timeline
Off the coast of France, archaeologists recently discovered a series of 7,000-year-old submerged megaliths, dramatically extending the known timeline of monumental stone construction in Europe. The finds suggest that large-scale architectural projects were underway centuries earlier than previously believed—and that rising sea levels may have hidden entire chapters of human history. "Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
