Trump scores strategic win as Panama court ousts Hong Kong firm from canal ports

A Panamanian court has voided a port contract held by a Hong Kong subsidiary, prompting assurances from President José Raúl Mulino that canal traffic will not be disrupted.
The court ruled Thursday that the port concession granted to Panama Ports Company — a subsidiary of Hong Kong’s CK Hutchison Holdings — was unconstitutional.
The decision was welcomed by the U.S. and criticized by Beijing, according to The Associated Press.

Abba, thank You that You are guiding and directing Your son, Donald, as he walks through very difficult negotiations with Iran. We ask for Your perfect will to be done, that President Trump will hear Your voice as he makes decisions, that the Iranian regime will have Your grace to find a path to peace in these talks. Netanyahu Tells Witkoff Gaza Must be Demilitarized
|
|
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with White House special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff on Tuesday, emphasizing that Israel will not compromise on its war aims in the Gaza Strip, and cautioning against trusting Iranian promises.
Netanyahu reiterated to Witkoff that Hamas must be disarmed and Gaza demilitarized before any reconstruction efforts begin, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The prime minister also emphasized that the Palestinian Authority could not play any role in administering the Gaza Strip, the statement added.
Earlier on Tuesday, the PMO declared it wouldn’t accept the unauthorized adoption of the P.A. symbol by the technocratic committee tasked with overseeing Gaza. However, Ali Shaath, a former P.A. deputy minister, remains at the head of the committee.

Abba, the concept that Gaza must disarm and demilitarize before reconstruction can begin seems a logical decision based on its history, but this topic continues to come up instead of being an accepted step in the peace process. We ask Holy Spirit to bring about Your perfect will in these circumstances. We ask You to change minds and hearts where necessary, allow reality to be the foundation of these decisions, bring forth a plan that will bless Gaza as well as protect Your land and people. Plan for New Gaza is Already Looking Like the Old Gaza
|

Ali Shaath, who has been tasked to head the Gaza administration reconstruction of the Strip, was praised by the White House last month as "a widely respected technocratic leader." But an Israeli watchdog group said Shaath shares the radical anti-Israel ideology one would expect from a former Palestinian Authority functionary.
"His ideology is taken directly from the Palestinian Authority's playbook of hate and terror promotion," said Palestinian Media Watch in a statement on Sunday.
Before U.S. President Donald Trump tapped Shaath to lead the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), Shaath shared his views about Israel and terrorism in an April 2025 podcast, as revealed by PMW.
In the YouTube interview, Shaath declared Israel a Western colonial project. "This colonialist [Israel], who was planted by America and Western Europe ... , they planted it [Israel] in Palestine since the Balfour Promise [i.e., Declaration]."

Abba, we need Your help. This article, if correct, seems to show a disconnect between what President Trump said about his intentions for Gaza and the person he put in charge of the reconstruction. Father God, we don't know why this decision was made but You do and we ask You to intervene if this is not the person You intended to manage the reconstruction. Speak to Your son, Donald's mind and heart if necessary, bring Your intentions and his understanding into agreement and alignment.
Jesus, we confess that many times decisions made seem wrong to us only to have You bring circumstances that totally change the picture...we ask for You to do that again. We pray that all decisions made will work for the good of our nation, that Your plans are being worked out just as You intended them to. Help build our faith when we can't see what You are up to in this peace process. We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.

New York Jury Awards Detransitioner $2 Million after Historic Malpractice Trial
|

After a historic trial, a civil jury in New York state has awarded malpractice damages to a detransitioner, the first such judgment for victims of transgender ideology’s medical experimentation. Fox Varian, a 22-year-old woman, sued her former psychologist, Kenneth Einhorn, and plastic surgeon, Simon Chin, alleging that they deviated from standard medical practice and informed consent in rushing her into a double mastectomy at the age of 16. The verdict in her favor signaled “The end of the transgender experiment,” proclaimed Claremont Institute Vice President Andrew Beck.
After a three-week trial before the New York Supreme Court (a trial-level court) in Westchester County, a civil jury awarded Varian $2 million in damages, according to independent journalist Ben Ryan, who covered the case in full. After deliberating for more than five hours, the jury awarded Varian $1.6 million for past and future suffering and $400,000 for future medical expenses. Abba, we give You thanks that a jury awarded Fox Varlan 2 million dollars because of the medical malpractive that included surgery to "fix" her gender dysphoria at the age of 16. Abba, we pray for Fox, that You will bring healing physically, mentally and emotionally, that through Your mighty power she will be restored completely. Father God, we ask You to intervene in all the other children's lives who have been traumatized by surgical "fixes" for gender dysphoria, that they too, will be restored completely.
Jesus, we ask You to speak to every adult who has been deceived into allowing children to make life altering decisions before they are able to understand the consequences, reveal to them the devistation that has destroyed these children's lives.. 1. Israel estimates slim prospects for US-Iran agreement in Oman talks

Israeli officials estimated on Thursday that it is unlikely that Iran and the US will reach an agreement during the slated talks between senior officials in Oman on Friday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to meet with US President Donald Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Muscat.
“Iran is talking to us because it doesn’t want us to attack them,” Trump said on Thursday.
According to Al Jazeera, the US is demanding that Iran dismantle its nuclear program, reduce the range of its ballistic missiles so they cannot reach Israel, and grant “a kind of amnesty” to those arrested during the 12-day war and the recent protests. (Read more)

2. Iran claims: 'Missile can reach Israel in 10 minutes' - Israel National News
The Iranian news agency Fars, which is aligned with the Iranian government, reported that the Khorramshahr-4 missile has been deployed for the first time in underground facilities, referred to in Iran as "missile cities," belonging to the IRGC. According to the report, this is one of the newest and most powerful missiles in the Iranian arsenal, and its placement in these facilities is intended to enhance the operational capabilities and readiness of the ballistic missile systems.
According to the report, the missile can reach speeds of up to 16 times the speed of sound, estimated at tens of thousands of kilometers per hour outside the atmosphere, and around Mach 8 inside the atmosphere. These figures, according to the agency, shorten the time to reach the target in Israel to about 10-12 minutes from launch.
The Khorramshahr-4, first revealed in May 2023 and also known as "Kheiber," is classified as a medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM). According to open sources, it is a single-stage, liquid-fueled missile with a declared range of about 2,000 kilometers. In his newly publicized answers to the state comptroller’s October 7 inquiry, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu releases a partial cabinet meeting transcript from September 12, 2023 in which then-defense minister Yoav Gallant says the security situation in Gaza is “stable,” and that Israel should “hold back its forces” against Hamas.
The released answers — designed to place responsibility on the shoulders of IDF and Shin Bet leadership — were presented to State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman on December 25, 2025.
In the highly curated document meant to present Netanyahu in a positive light and reduce his responsibility for the October 7, 2023 attacks, he includes a summary of a September 21, 2023 situational assessment headed by then-IDF chief of staff Herzi Halevi that says that “the chief of staff believes that it is possible to create a positive direction with Hamas” with economic incentives. Father God, our hearts go out to the many who have undergone this terrible surgery and then realized that it was a mistake. We rejoice that this jury has awarded this person a large amount to compensate for the pain inflicted by this surgery. We pray that just the sheer amount of lawsuits likely to come in the future will bring this industry to the realization that it is a mistake to mutilate children and even young adults. Father, we pray that You will intervene to change the teachings and public support for this condition called gender dysphoria to that of treating it as an illness so that these children can be healed and restored to God's perfect plan for each one of them.

Lord Jesus,
Let this article sink deeply into our hearts and turn us in the way of the cross. As some churches turn away from preaching sin and refuse to call a sinner to repentance, they are falling short of the truth. Lord, you make it very clear in Your word that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and refusing to preach a sermon with the word sinner in it because it makes people uncomfortable is not spiritual maturity. Instead, it is a spiritual drifting away from grace.
Lord, forgive those pastors who are leading their people in this destructive way and give them true clarity of Your word. Father, as our eyes look toward the cross, we see that it was "uncomfortable" for You to die on that cross, also, to save us from our sin and give us the beautiful promise of eternity with You, but you did. You took the weight of our sin upon Your shoulders so that we may have life in You more abundantly. Our message to churches is to preach the truth of God's word in and out of season and to repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand! Lord, we humbly release this prayer to You in Your Holy Name, Amen.

A 4.2 earthquake struck near San Ramon Monday morning, following a 3.8 quake amid a string of over 30 temblors in the area, U.S. Geological Survey said.
The 4.2 quake struck at 7:01 a.m. and followed a string of quakes that began with a 3.8 at 6:27 a.m. Dozens of earthquakes have followed.
USGS said the 4.2 quake was about 9.4 km in depth. A magnitude 4.2 quake is quite significant. Read more

Lord, are You giving California a warning with the 321 earthquakes that have happened in the San Francisco and San Ramon areas in the last seven days? As Scientists have hoped that the seismic activity and shaking would settle down it seems to have increased and they are still warning that "the Big One" is inevitably coming. Father, not only are You shaking California but the entire world in preparation for Your coming. Violence, chaos and lawlessness are evident and shaking in abundance. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is an armed force tasked with defending Iran’s regime and serves as the backbone of power for Ayatollah Khamenei. It is composed of ground, naval, and air forces, the internal Basij militia, and the IRGC–Qods Force, which conducts external operations.
The Qods Force is responsible for covert lethal activity outside Iran, including asymmetric and terrorist operations that Iran views as tools to deter adversaries, assert leadership over Shia Muslims, and project power across the Middle East.

The Minnesota protests are framed as spontaneous expressions of community outrage. That framing collapses under even modest scrutiny. What is unfolding on the ground reflects a coordinated ecosystem of leftist professional organizing, funded nonprofits, and rapid-response networks designed to mobilize people quickly and repeatedly. Reuters and local outlets have documented organized actions tied to immigration enforcement, including church disruptions, school monitoring, and street mobilizations. These efforts do not materialize organically. They require staffing, training, communications systems, and legal coordination. These protests are organized political activism operating under the moral cover of community concern.
The organizations involved are identifiable. Reporting has linked protest coordination and rapid-response activity to groups such as Black Lives Matter, TakeAction Minnesota, COPAL (Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina), the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, and the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee. Axios and the Star Tribune have described “ICE watch” systems that use encrypted messaging apps, shared vehicle tracking, dispatch-style alerts, and escalation protocols to move from observation to confrontation. These groups train volunteers, publish toolkits, and recruit participants through online sign-ups and in-person events. This is not casual civic engagement. House Speaker Mike Johnson made a lengthy biblical defense of protecting one’s own border Tuesday after being questioned about recent commentary by Pope Leo.
During a press conference on Capitol Hill, a reporter spoke to Johnson, saying, "Pope Leo has cited Matthew 25:35 to critique Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda. How would you respond to Pope Leo in Scripture?"
While Pope Leo specifically denied that the church pushes for "open borders" in November, he has also advocated for the humane treatment of migrants. In October, he referred to the Gospel of Matthew 25:31-40 and noted in his Apostolic Exhortation DILEXI TE, "The Church has always recognized in migrants a living presence of the Lord who, on the day of judgment, will say to those on his right: ‘I was a stranger, and you welcomed me.’"
Johnson responded to the reporter by saying he would post a response on social media later in the day but would give a summary right then and there.
"Borders and walls are biblical — from the Old Testament to the New, God has allowed us to set up our civil societies and have separate nations," Johnson said. "Immigration is not something that’s frowned upon in Scripture. In fact, it’s welcomed. We are to welcome the sojourner and love our neighbor as ourselves. But what’s also important in the Bible is that assimilation is expected, and anticipated, and proper. When someone comes into your country, comes into your nation, they do not have the right to change its laws or to change its society. They’re expected to assimilate. We haven’t had a lot of that going on."
He went on to argue that there is a difference between the expectations of individuals within a society versus the rulers who maintain the stability of society itself.
"When people cite passages out of the Old Testament, I say, ‘Well, you’re supposed to take care of the sojourner and the neighbor and treat them as yourself, welcome them in.’ Yes, but that is an admonition to individuals, not to civil authorities. The civil authorities are given authority under Scripture to maintain order. Romans 12 — you want to do this?
"Romans 13 says that the civil authorities are God’s agents of wrath to bring punishment upon the wrongdoer. And it says, ‘If you do right, you have no fear of the civil authorities, but those civil authorities are necessary.’ It’s a calling. It’s a calling to maintain order in society. US, Iran Will Hold Talks on Friday in Oman, White House Says

WASHINGTON—The United States will hold talks with Iran on Feb. 6 in Oman, a White House official told The Epoch Times.
The decision came after a breakdown in planning discussions on Wednesday due to rising tensions regarding the agenda.
The White House official said the meeting was rescheduled after several Arab and Muslim leaders urged the Trump administration on Wednesday afternoon not to withdraw from the talks. The meeting was originally scheduled to take place in Istanbul.
The official added that the United States agreed to the meeting out of respect for its Arab allies but remains skeptical about its prospects for success.
In an interview with NBC News on Feb. 4, Trump said Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “should be very worried.”
“We want peace in the Middle East,” Trump said, adding that if the United States hadn’t taken out nuclear facilities in Iran last year, there would be no peace in the region.

Lord God of Heaven and Earth, we ask that Your will for the Iranian government at this time be carried out. We ask for Your supreme discernment and wisdom for the U.S. Team scheduled to attend the talks in Oman. We pray that our President and his staff have ears to hear what You are saying and not take their cues from Arab and Moslem leaders. May all U.S. personnel have extreme discernment and any additional strategic intelligence that they lack before attending the talks, or cancel if it is not wise to meet with this group. Your kingdom come and Your will only be done in this situation with the Iraian regime.
Father God, we know You foresaw the Iranians’ intention to obliterate any resistance to their rule from the public sector. Thank You that in the recent past, and in Your mercy and kindness, You brought revival to Iran; and the underground church has blossomed. Because of Your goodness and kindness, we know that a goodly portion of those protesters who were massacred are now in heaven with You. Small Water Systems Vulnerable to Cyber Attacks, Operators and Experts Warn

Cyber attacks increasingly threaten America’s water and wastewater systems, operators and experts told a U.S. Senate panel on Feb. 4.
“Cyber incidents” have increased over the past 18 months since the issuance of a United States Government Accountability report in August 2024 that found 14 percent of the nation’s 170,000 water and wastewater systems—nearly 24,000—reported at least one cyber incident during the previous three months, up from 11.5 percent during the same period the year before.
These pose a glaring risk to Americans, water utility managers told a Senate Environment and Public Works Committee hearing, especially to those who tap into small water districts that fall below federal cybersecurity compliance standards and don’t have the resources to thwart increasingly sophisticated ransomware and cyber-attacks.
“The vast majority of water and wastewater systems in this country serve communities of 10,000 people or less. We have the same responsibility as large water utilities to deliver safe drinking water every second of every day,” North Dakota Rural Water Systems Association Executive Board Member Matt Odermann said.
“The difference for us is scale,” he continued. “Small systems operate with limited staff, limited revenue, and limited technical capacity. Most do not have in-house cybersecurity personnel. Protecting small systems must be a national security priority. With the right balance of partnership, practical guidance, and resources, we can strengthen cybersecurity across America’s water infrastructure not through fear, but through collaboration and resilience.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Ancient Pilgrimage Road leading to Temple Mount opens to public after 13 years of excavations

The Pilgrimage Road, a circa first-century route linking the Pool of Siloam to the foot of the Temple Mount, has been opened to the public after 13 years of excavations.
The City of David, which operates the national park site, and the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), which has led the dig, announced the site’s opening last week in a joint social media post.
“We have been waiting for this moment for 2,000 years,” the post read. “For many generations, the road was buried under layers of destruction. In recent years, we have been privileged to re-expose its entire length in a joint project between the City of David and the Israel Antiquities Authority.”
Archaeologists say the stepped street served as Jerusalem’s main thoroughfare for pilgrims during the Second Temple period, as countless coins and a “special weighing table” were discovered during excavations.
An ancient drainage channel was discovered beneath the road, believed to have been used by Jewish rebels during the Second Temple, according to the City of David, as “cooking pots, oil lamps, hundreds of bronze coins from the Great Revolt, and even a sword belonging to a Roman legionnaire were all discovered in the channel.”
Former US ambassador to Israel David Friedman praised the opening in a post on X/Twitter, saying that the road is “one of the world’s most significant archaeological discoveries and proof that the Bible is a matter of fact, not simply faith.” Read More
