Venezuela earthquake:
Mum rescued from rubble with newborn baby
tells BBC how he helped her survive

A mother who was pulled from the rubble of her wrecked home in Venezuela with her 18-day-old baby has told the BBC of how her son helped keep her alive. Dayana Patino said her son Juan David gave her "motivation to be awake and alert". "As long as he was alive, I was going to be alive. Every now and then I was touching his nose for proof that he was still breathing," she said.
Footage of the rescue has been shared around the world, with Juan David becoming a symbol of hope in Venezuela, which has been devastated by the twin earthquakes that hit the country on Wednesday - killing at least 1,450 people. Tens of thousands more are missing in what the country's interim president has described as the "most brutal natural catastrophe" in Venezuela's history. Search efforts are continuing, but hopes are diminishing that more survivors will be found.
At a clinic in the Venezuelan capital Caracas on Sunday, Dayana told the BBC of the terrifying hours she had spent underground, holding her tiny son close and praying that they would be saved. She had been doing the washing up in her eighth-floor apartment in the northern coastal region of La Guaira when the earthquakes hit. She instantly rushed to cradle her son, thinking it would be 'only a light tremor' "I felt like I was flying. After that, I felt like I was sinking in water and dirt, and then I fell into the pit where I remained. I don't know how I didn't let go of my baby because I was flying. Send Warrior Angels to help the rescue teams find buried victims and bring hope to those waiting to be rescued, as families are comforted by Your holy Presence in the midst of darkness. SCOTUS sides with common sense after boys try to play sports with girls
|

The Supreme Court has come down on the side of common sense when it comes to boys infiltrating girls' sports.
In a decision in which all nine justices concurred at least in part, the court ruled that laws in West Virginia and Idaho could limit sports teams to biological sex without violating the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution.
'The challenged laws do not classify based on gender identity or transgender status ... but instead on the basis of biological sex.'
"The argument that the challenged laws unconstitutionally discriminate against transgender individuals is unavailing. Under this Court’s decision in Skrmetti, the challenged laws do not classify based on gender identity or transgender status, see 605 U. S., at 517, but instead on the basis of biological sex," Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote in an opinion released Tuesday in which six total justices concurred on the core issues.
"The classification at issue readily satisfies rational basis review or intermediate scrutiny."
Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito wrote separate concurring opinions. Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote a separate opinion, joined by Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson, that concurred in part and dissented in part. (The Blaze) Read more

HalleluJah! Thank You Father that these justices saw fit to protect states's rights and sovereignty of the two genders, particularly that of females. We pray for each state to protect girl's sports and insist that biological males remain with other male competitors, in Jesus's name. Father, we know this challenge must still be fought, so we pray for the warriors that You are raising up who will meet and defeat this wrong-headed agenda. We pray for the transgender people who have been manipulated into this programming and we ask for their hearts to be touched by Your kindness and love, drawing them to salvation and life in You, Jesus. Amen.

Supreme Court Deals Massive Blow to the Deep State, Reversing 90-Year Precedent in Humphrey’s Executor

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to strike down the 90-year-old precedent in Humphrey’s Executor that insulated deep state actors when even the president sought to fire them.
“Nearly 250 years ago, the Framers decided to vest ‘[t]he executive Power’ in one person—‘a President of the United States of America,’” Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion. “The choice was not made lightly.”
Roberts noted that “several delegates to the Constitutional Convention pushed for a multimember council instead of ‘unity in the Executive magistracy,’ which they feared would serve as ‘the foetus of monarchy.’ But unity won out.”
“Our Constitution’s drafters knew from experience that a ‘plurality in the executive’—the model in use by most States at the time—not only ‘diminishe[s]’ the ‘activity, secrecy, and dispatch’ necessary to ensure ‘good government’ but ‘tends to conceal faults and destroy responsibility,’” he added.
Roberts delivered the opinion of the court, which Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett joined in full. Justice Clarence Thomas joined every part of the opinion except one, while Justice Sonia Sotomayor filed a dissent, joined by Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson. (The Daily Signal)

Thank You Jesus for this common sense decision. It seems only right that the boss has the power to terminate the employment of employees at any point in time. This is especially critical in the house of our Executive, where his work must be supported, protected and upheld by the staff that comes and goes routinely. We pray for President Trump to know who he can trust and who is tickling his ears and making deals in the back room seeking to harm our nation and leader. We ask You to cover all staff so that there is a clear separation between the wheat and the tares, in Jesus's name. We pray for wisdom and a hedge of protection over every member of the Executive Branch so that President Trump's counsel comes from righteousness and the actions are meant to strengthen the leadership, in Jesus's name.

Supreme Court Strikes Down President Trump’s Executive Order On Birthright Citizenship in 5-4 Decision – Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett Side with Liberals

The US Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down President Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship in a 5-4 decision. Chief Justice Roberts wrote the majority opinion.
“Children born in the United States to parents unlawfully or temporarily present are “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States and are citizens at birth under the Fourteenth Amendment’s Citizenship Clause,” Roberts wrote. Roberts was joined by Amy Coney Barrett, Kagan, Sotomayor and Jackson.
In September, President Trump asked the US Supreme Court to end birthright citizenship.
Several federal judges have blocked President Trump’s birthright citizenship executive order.
According to President Trump’s order, the 14th Amendment is being misinterpreted by the left to give citizenship to ‘anchor babies.’
“It is the policy of the United States that no department or agency of the United States government shall issue documents recognizing United States citizenship, or accept documents issued by State, local, or other governments or authorities purporting to recognize United States citizenship, to persons: (1) when that person’s mother was unlawfully present in the United States and the person’s father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth, or (2) when that person’s mother’s presence in the United States was lawful but temporary, and the person’s father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth,” Trump’s order stated.
Trump’s order argued the 14th Amendment has always excluded babies born to people in the US illegally.
“[The] Fourteenth Amendment has never been interpreted to extend citizenship universally to everyone born within the United States. The Fourteenth Amendment has always excluded from birthright citizenship persons who were born in the United States but not “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” Consistent with this understanding, the Congress has further specified through legislation that “a person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” is a national and citizen of the United States at birth, 8 U.S.C. 1401, generally mirroring the Fourteenth Amendment’s text,” the order stated.

Holy King, from our vantage point, this decision seems to potentially reinforce law-breaking by people who are compelled to come here illegally in order to give birth on our soil to a child who will certainly now be eligible for U.S. citizenship. We pray for Congress and state legislatures to establish law forbidding such actions, in Jesus's name. We also pray for our immigration enforcement to be strong enough to restrict entry to anyone wishing to give birth here, in Jesus's name.

US Attorney Jeanine Pirro Says 14 Vandals Have Been Cited for Damage to the Reflecting Pool, Confirms Vandals Face Up to 10 Years in Jail

The National Park Service has confirmed that the blue sealant at the bottom of the pool was vandalized and “cut with a sharp knife or razor” in recent court filings. It further confirmed plans to drain the pool and begin repairs after the Fourth of July.
US Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced on Fox News this morning that US Park Police have now cited 14 individuals for destruction of government property.
“They’re coming into my office now. Make no mistake, if you vandalize anything in this district, we’re going to prosecute you, and if you destroy the reflecting pool, and if you create a problem that has long-term ramifications, we’re going to prosecute you,” Pirro said. “There’s no question about it!”
She added, “What we’ve got to do is make sure that we’ve got people who are able to find out about what’s going on, and the president is making sure we do that because now the enforcement is at a next level in terms of all of the monuments.”
Pirro said the consequences could range from ten years in prison to a misdemeanor, depending on the “level of damage.”

Praise God for a justice team with the courage and ability to arrest and prosecute these scoundrels who were responsible for the destruction of our nation's reflecting pool. May the punishment be swift and firm, establishing a strong precedent to dissuade further acts of destruction, in Jesus's name. 1. Netanyahu in Lebanon: IDF to stay in region as long as Hezbollah continues to pose a threat - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the IDF will stay in the security zone within Lebanon until Hezbollah no longer poses a threat to Israel during a visit to soldiers serving in the area on Tuesday.
If soldiers recognize a threat, they are instructed to act to remove it, Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu was accompanied by Defense Minister Israel Katz, National Security Advisor Shmuel Ben-Ezra, IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Tamir Yadai, and the premier’s Military Secretary Maj.-Gen. Guy Markizeno. They received briefings from IDF Northern Command Chief Maj.-Gen. Rafi Milo, 91st Division Chief Brig.-Gen. Yuval Gez, and other brigade commanders serving in the security zone. Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday that Israel has “no territorial ambitions in Lebanon,” but the IDF will not withdraw “a millimeter” until the Hezbollah terror group is disarmed.
Katz’s comments came on the same day that the US Central Command chief met with both Lebanon’s president and its military chief in Lebanon, days after Jerusalem and Beirut signed a framework agreement aimed at ending their conflict, a move that has been repeatedly criticized by Hezbollah and its allies.
The deal commits Lebanon to restoring sovereignty over its territory through the “verified disarmament of non-state armed groups and dismantlement of associated infrastructure,” enabling a progressive Israeli withdrawal, according to the text released by the State Department. (Read more)

“One of the central goals that the prime minister and I set is that we are recruiting the best minds,” he said in a briefing with military reporters. “As of today, no country has the ability to mount attacks in space. We must be the leading country in the world with this capability.”

5. Anti-Zionist ‘Assault Battallions’ Patrol Thessaloniki Streets, Targeting Israelis and Jews - Algemeiner
Greece’s Jewish community has denounced “anti-Zionist patrols” which harassed and intimidated Jews and Israelis on the streets of Thessaloniki, calling the incident a disturbing echo of one of the city’s most violent chapters nearly 95 years after assault squads first targeted its Jewish population.
Last weekend, the left-wing anarchist group Rouvikonas organized what it called “anti-Zionist patrols” through the streets of Thessaloniki – Greece’s second-largest city in the country’s north – saying the demonstrations were intended to confront a growing “Israeli and Zionist infiltration” across the city.
Joined by members of the “Permanent Struggle for Class Liberation” and the “Thessaloniki Liberation Initiative,” individuals were seen marching through the city wearing black T-shirts featuring Palestinian flags.
According to the anti-Israel group, Thessaloniki has become part of a wider process of “colonization” driven by domestic and foreign capital, alleging that Israeli and other investment funds are increasingly buying up beaches, neighbourhoods and villages and displacing local residents in the process. 1. America 250: Freedom Trucks travel across U.S. celebrating American history- The Center Square
In celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, the White House has launched mobile initiatives to bring American history to the public who aren’t able to travel to Washington, D.C.
One is the Freedom Plane National Archives Tour, a traveling exhibit transporting nine original founding documents to eight U.S. cities. Inspired by the Bicentennial Freedom Train, which brought historic documents to Americans in 48 states from 1975 to 1976, this year’s exhibit is being transported by a Boeing 737.
The documents are currently on display at the Museum of Miami through July 5.
Another is the Freedom Truck initiative, involving a fleet of six custom-designed semi-trucks traveling the country as an America 250 mobile museum. Local communities, state fairs, festivals and schools can request a Freedom Truck visit them here. Stops are being added through 2027. (Read more here)

We praise You Jesus for this investigation taking place and we ask You to enable AG Blanche, Attorney Clayton and everyone else on the side of justice to be able to bring down this massive money machine that has been funding and fomenting riots and anarchists all over our nation, in Jesus's name. We pray for all evidence to be secure and irrefutable and many reliable whistle-blowers; moreover we pray for every adjudicator (judge, jury and counsel) to be operating in the righteousness of God so that the full weight of this nation's legal system is brought to bear against the enormity of the corruption that has been operating aggressively out of China for nearly the last ten years, in Jesus's holy name.

3. Homeowners Outraged After HOA Demands American Flags Come Down -Daily Wire
Residents in a Southern California neighborhood say their homeowners association is threatening to fine them unless they remove American flags displayed outside their homes, sparking outrage as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.
“I’m not taking my flag down,” Terri said. “They can fine me, $100, $200, $1,000, I’m not paying it.”
Terri said she has flown the Stars and Stripes for 35 years and described the neighborhood as very patriotic because it is near the former Miramar Navy Air Station, the original home of the Navy’s TOPGUN school, adding, “all the Top Gun pilots lived here.”
Congress passed the Freedom to Display the American Flag Act in 2005, which generally prevents HOAs from banning residents from displaying the American flag while allowing restrictions on how it is displayed, including the size, placement, and type of flagpole. (Read more)

Holy King, as a nation that has consented to be governed by laws, it is important to maintain that standard, because if some laws apply and some don't, then we will end up with confusion and chaos. We must work to restore the integrity of our legal system in order to be governable. Despite the upheaval to people who have been here for extended lengths of time, we pray for all legal means to be made available to those who wish to return legally and become a part of our American culture.
"He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. 5. Appeals court revives lawsuit by Alaska Airlines flight attendants fired after opposing Pride message - Fox News
A federal appeals court revived a lawsuit brought by two former Alaska Airlines flight attendants who say they were fired after expressing religious objections to the airline's support for the Equality Act, allowing their religious discrimination claims to proceed.
The Ninth Circuit ruled Wednesday there is sufficient evidence for a jury to determine whether Lacey Smith and Marli Brown were fired because of their religious beliefs, reviving the lawsuit they filed against the airline.
"We are grateful the court recognized the clear evidence of religious discrimination against Marli and Lacey by both Alaska Airlines and the flight attendants’ union," Stephanie Taub, senior counsel at First Liberty Institute, who argued before the Court back in August 2025, said in a statement. 6. Supreme Court Strikes Down Limits on Party Spending in Federal Elections - Newsmax
The Supreme Court on Tuesday erased limits on how much political parties can spend in coordination with candidates for Congress and president, striking down a federal election law that is more than 50 years old.
Prodded by a Republican-led lawsuit that includes Vice President JD Vance, the court's conservative justices were again in the majority of the latest decision that upended congressionally enacted limits on raising and spending money to influence elections. The court's 2010 Citizens United decision opened the door to unlimited independent spending in federal elections.
"Every time we interfere with the congressional design, we make matters worse," said Justice Sonia Sotomayor, a dissenter in Citizens United and the court's other campaign money cases.
By contrast, Justice Samuel Alito, a member of the Citizens United majority, described the decision as "much maligned, I think unfairly maligned." An Epoch Times report on experts raising concerns about a possible connection between COVID-19 vaccines and certain cancers, was immediately met with strong pushback from public health authorities and much of the medical establishment. Critics of the report cite their usual methodological flaws, insufficient evidence, and the lack of a demonstrated causal relationship. But during the pandemic, concerns about vaccine side effects were quickly dismissed, only to be acknowledged later as legitimate. The result is an erosion of trust.
The debate is larger than any single study. It is about whether scientific inquiry remains open to questioning or whether certain conclusions become protected from examination. The CDC and WHO continue to maintain that COVID-19 vaccines do not cause cancer, and current evidence does not establish such a link. Yet many Americans remember being told that the vaccines were completely safe and highly effective at preventing infection and transmission. A California rabbi is threatening legal action after he says the city of Irvine has unlawfully fined him for months for hosting private prayer meetings in his home.
First Liberty Institute sent a demand letter to the city of Irvine on June 12 demanding the city immediately cease its enforcement actions and revoke past citations against its client, Rabbi Rafi Dadon.
Dadon, an Orthodox Jew, regularly invites friends to his home for prayer, Torah study, and Shabbat and holiday meals. His attorneys say these gatherings are private, by invitation only and central to his faith.
First Liberty attorney Ryan Gardner told Fox News Digital that Dadon has been fined approximately $5,000 since the city began fining him in August 2025.
According to the letter sent by Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and First Liberty Institute, the city's justifications for the fines have frequently changed.
The city initially claimed that Dadon was engaging in unpermitted "Church activities" that required a Conditional Use Permit, under local zoning regulations. Later, officials dropped the reference to "Church activities" and alleged Dadon was violating zoning rules related to "Accessory Use" and "commercial activity" and suggested his home was operating as a "place of worship," according to the demand letter.
"The City's shifting and inconsistent characterization of Rabbi Dadon's activities... raises serious concerns that the enforcement action is pretextual and directed not at any neutrally applied land-use issue, but rather at protected religious exercise," the demand letter states.
The letter suggests the city could be violating the Free Exercise Clause, the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA) and the Fair Housing Act with its actions and says it must preserve any documents and communications related to the matter in anticipation of potential legal action. Senate tries to insert CBDC into the
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)

This is the exact same tactic the Senate pulled when they tried to insert a pro-CBDC measure in the affordable housing bill.
In a measure originally meant to limit the government’s ability to spy on U.S. citizens, the Senate just inserted a provision that will allow the government to spy on and control citizens’ money with Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) beginning December 31, 2030.
We pushed back hard on the Senate’s attempt to sneak this same language into the Affordable Housing bill. Now we must push back just as hard on their attempt to put it in the FISA bill.
Tell Congress right now: It doesn’t matter where you try to put this Orwellian financial surveillance and control scheme, we the American people WILL NOT tolerate a CBDC!
No CBDCs, not now, not ever!
Shockingly, two REPUBLICANS are leading this financial spying effort!
For the last two weeks, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, along with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, have been circulating a new FISA bill that specifically allows the Fed to issue a CBDC in just three years — the same amount of time the pro-financial-spying senators were trying to get it rammed through in the Affordable Housing bill.
But conservatives in the House are speaking out against the Senate’s duplicity.
“It’s a nonstarter,” said Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD), chair of the House Freedom Caucus. “If they want to bring this under a rule in the House, it’s going to have to include a permanent ban on CBDC.”
“We have to permanently ban CBDC. There is no other option,” added Rep. Keith Self (R-TX).
Yet, Republican senators are openly and actively pushing to allow the Fed to issue a CBDC just three years from now. We cannot allow that to happen!

A massive heat dome is settling over the eastern half of the country, triggering the first major heat wave of the summer, just ahead of the July 4 holiday.
While temperatures may peak before July 4 itself, more than 44 million people across the country will still experience triple-digit air temperatures or heat index values as they celebrate America's 250th birthday.
More than 20 states are expected to reach 100 degrees this week and over 230 million people will surpass 90 degrees, with more than 140 municipalities expected to see record-high temperatures.
Some wore sweaters in Washington, D.C., for the opening weekend of the Great American State Fair on the National Mall. But those attending on July 4 will need plenty of sunscreen and water.
While it will feel like a desert across much of the Central and Eastern U.S. on Independence Day, the Desert Southwest will still officially hold the hottest July 4 temperatures this weekend.
