Florida Evangelist Turning Defunct Vermont Campus Into ‘Christ-Centered University’
|

One evangelist from Florida is hoping to pick up where the Puritans left off in New England. Tommie Zito, an itinerant preacher who spends much of the year traveling internationally, has reportedly inked a deal with whiskey maven Raj Bhakta, who told CBN News in March he wanted to give away a $200 million college campus in Poultney, Vermont.
The founder of WhistlePig Whiskey had only one catch for his eyebrow-raising offer: the recipient of the sprawling campus — former home to the Methodist-affiliated Green Mountain College — needed to be a Christian who shared Bhakta’s view that biblical principles are vital to America’s flourishing.
“When we forget that there is a God above us who gives us the rules, we don’t make them — forgetting that is what has caused this crazy culture to emerge of hopelessness, and selfishness, and crazy ideas,” he said. Zito hopes to turn the campus, a 26-building property with dorms, classrooms, athletic facilities, and more than 100 acres of farmland, into a “Christ-centered university” he’s planning to name “Z University,” according to the New York Post.
Zito plans for the Vermont campus to be the first of many faith-based educational hubs with additional campuses in Canada, Italy, Dubai, Poland, and Sri Lanka. Ultimately, he told the Post, he wants to add schools in Japan, Ireland, and the U.K., too. “I’m sure it probably wasn’t their first choice to have a Christian university take over this beautiful campus,” Zito said of the local residents in Poultney, a town of roughly 3,000 people, according to census data from 2020. “Vermont and New England are not pro-church, let’s just say. Pentagon identifies Army soldier killed in action during Iraq operation

The Army on Tuesday identified Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, from Fayetteville, North Carolina, as the U.S. service member killed while troops attempted to destroy a downed Iranian attack drone Sunday at an air base in Iraq.
His death followed the killing of two U.S. soldiers in Jordan on Friday – 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas – as American and allied forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks.
"Every time Iran kills an American Soldier they will pay for that killing many times over!" Trump wrote Monday on Truth Social. "This directive has been passed on to Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Daniel Caine, and every Leader in the Military."
Swinton's death brought the number of U.S. service members killed since the beginning of the conflict with Iran to 17. The toll includes deaths from Iranian attacks as well as crashes and other incidents connected to American military operations in the region.

Trump Admin Pausing $1 Billion in Medicaid Payments to 2 States
|
|
The federal government is pausing more than $1 billion in Medicaid payments to two states, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said on July 21.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is withholding more than $867 million from California and more than $200 million from Minnesota.
Advanced analytics, identified through financial investigation and artificial intelligence, identified suspicious activity and potential fraud, officials said.
“Every dollar the federal government allows to be lost to fraud, waste, and abuse is a dollar stolen from American patients and the American taxpayer. That’s money that should be going to legitimate health care,” Kennedy told a press conference in Washington.
He added later, “If those states want that money, they need to provide documentation that these payments are legitimate.”
The governors of California and Minnesota, both Democrats, did not respond to requests for comment on the new announcement. (The Epoch Times) Read more

Thank You Father, for this great amount of money being withheld from the hands of likely fraudulent participants. We pray for each of these states to clean up the rolls of Medicare patients, so that those who are in need may receive help and that those who are taking advantage of the system are removed completely, in Jesus's name. We pray for continued action to come forth, protecting agencies from being ripped off by waste, fraud and abuse, in the name of Jesus.

America's Islamic Earthquake: Wave of Muslims Hopes to Ride 'Mamdani Effect' Into Congress

A political earthquake threatens to reshape America. Muslim candidates are winning U.S. primary elections and political offices in record numbers. These victories have led to a concern among some Americans that growing Muslim political influence could lead to greater antisemitism and possibly shariah law in Islamic communities.
Last in November, a record 42 Muslim Americans swept into public office—an unprecedented shift. Leading the pack: Zohran Mamdani, becoming New York City's mayor. His win sent shockwaves through the political establishment.

President Isaac Herzog delivered a special address to the nation on Yuesday evening in which he warned of threats from "within and without" to the integrity of this fall's Knesset elections.
"Tomorrow evening, the fast of Tisha B'Av will begin. On this day, both Holy Temples of the Jewish people were destroyed. For two thousand years, this day has reminded us of the price of polarization, division, and hatred among us. This year, that message carries even greater weight, as we enter the period of elections," Herzog began.
He added, “Elections are a test of Israeli democracy, and they are also a test of the unity and cohesion of Israeli society. Elections are the pinnacle of a democracy. This is the opportunity for each and every one of us to influence the country's future, and the fateful issues before it. 2. Israel and Lebanon begin US-backed security pilot to accelerate Hezbollah's disarmament - i24 News
The Lebanese Armed Forces have urged residents not to enter the city until the security situation has stabilized and to follow the instructions of military units deployed in the area.
The development is part of a pilot program agreed upon by Israel and Lebanon with US support. On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the launch of the initiative in several areas of southern Lebanon, in coordination with the US Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Lebanese Armed Forces.
According to the IDF, representatives from Israel, the United States, and Lebanon are coordinating and planning the next stages of the agreement. The Israeli military also warned that it would respond decisively to any violations of the arrangement. (Read more)

3. IDF confirms building massive sand barrier dividing Gaza after satellite imagery

Without any public announcement, the IDFhas been building a large sand-wall barrier separating the 50-70% of the Gaza Strip it controls from the areas controlled by Hamas, the military confirmed on Tuesday.
Earth imaging company Planet Labs PBC observed the topographical changes using satellite imagery and provided them to the Associated Press, which was the first outlet to break the news.
According to the satellite imagery, more than 23 kilometers were built in recent months, running throughout the Strip, often through areas where Palestinian communities once stood but have long since been demolished by the IDF. (Read more)

4. Israeli intel said to show Iran has moved thousands of centrifuges to Natanz’s Pickaxe Mountain - Times of Israel
Israeli intelligence has reportedly assessed that Iran has moved thousands of nuclear centrifuges into a site in the Natanz area known as Pickaxe Mountain, burying them deep underground and making them harder to target in aerial strikes.
The Wall Street Journal, citing US and Israeli officials, reported Monday that Israel has told the US that its intelligence shows Tehran made the move last fall, following the 12-day war in June 2025, during which the US and Israel bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities, including some buried underground.
The Pickaxe site was not targeted at the time, nor has it been hit since the start of a more intensive US-Israeli air campaign against Iran on February 28, which was launched in a bid to destabilize the regime and destroy its nuclear and ballistic missile capacities. There has been activity at the site, including movement of trucks and construction, for some 15 months. (Read more)

5. 2,600-Year-Old Charred Beams from Solomon's Temple Era Unearthed in Jerusalem - Crosswalk
The book of 2 Kings records one of the pivotal events in biblical history, when King Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian army invaded Jerusalem in 586 B.C., burned Solomon’s Temple and carried off its prized treasures.
The city’s fall fulfilled biblical prophecy and forever altered the course of Israel's history.
Now, 2,600 years later, archaeologists in modern-day Israel have uncovered massive charred wooden beams from the temple’s destruction in one of the most remarkable biblical archaeology discoveries of the modern era.
The Israel Ministry of Tourism this week announced the discovery, saying the beams were uncovered during excavations at the Givati Parking Lot conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University within the Jerusalem Walls National Park. The temple, the news release said, collapsed due to the intense fire – and the beams likely were preserved for 2,600 years thanks to plaster that melted from the building's walls and sealed the wood. 2. How China Made and Shipped Fake Driver’s Licenses to Tamper With the 2020 Election - PJ Media

3. 'My family is being targeted': Christian influencer pleads for help after Muslims threaten harm for not saying Islam is peaceful - WND
A Christian influencer and apologist who defends the faith online – while sometimes criticizing other religions – is asking for help from followers after his family was reportedly threatened by a Muslim detractor.
Michael Jones, who runs a site called Inspiring Philosophy, posted:
"My family is being targeted by Islamic extremists. My family has been threatened with r*pe and violence. They are currently looking for my home address to target us. I need your help to move to a new home where we will be safe." Read more

Father God, we plead the blood of Jesus over this brother and his family. We, the people, have every right to speak freely, and in particular, to attempt to educate people about the threats of islam. We must not permit threats to the lives of our sovereign citizens, instead we will pray for arrests and prosecutions for everyone threatening their lives, in Jesus's name. We ask for a greater understanding of the political agenda of islam, so that we no longer fear this ideology and its adherents, in Jesus's name, but rather we would pray that they would all be saved, for the glory of God.

4. Rand Paul discloses bombshell evidence that FBI blocked CBP interview of Fauci ally - Just The news
Senate Homeland Security Chairman Rand Paul released new documents Monday that he said revealed the FBI stopped Customs and Border Patrol from searching and questioning Peter Daszak upon his return to the United States from China.
Paul said that CBP was prepared to stop Daszak, who was the president of EcoHealth Alliance at the time, when he landed in New York in February 2021, but was told by the FBI days before Daszak landed not to question him and the inspection never took place.
Paul said the documents can be found on a new database his team has put together called the "Reading Room," which is now accessible to the public so they can review the documents themselves. The database will be updated as the investigation continues.

5. Slowing data center construction signals the need for pro-growth reforms - Washington Examiner
America’s artificial intelligence boom is running into roadblocks.
Bloomberg reports that half of all data-center construction plans have been canceled or delayed at the beginning of 2026. This slowing growth is due in part to local building moratoriums, tax code phaseouts, and trouble connecting to an increasingly bottlenecked grid. As demand for data centers increases, these supply constraints could make everything from AI to financial services and cloud computing more expensive and slow economic growth.
A March 2026 Quinnipiac poll found that 65% of Americans opposed data-center construction in their own communities, leading some politicians to seek temporary bans or moratoriums on data-center production. In fact, 12 states have introduced data-center construction moratoriums, while at least 54 local moratoriums have passed. Read more

Thank You Abba that many people are recognizing the threats of data centers. We pray for a cease and desist order upon all data centers until the consequences, ramifications and loss of individual liberties have been properly measured and evaluated, in Jesus's name. We know they cause a serious degradation to water quality, the environment and our power grid, all of which must be protected, in the name of Jesus. We have spent decades under climate tyranny and now to just give everything up to advance the speed of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and have a convenient place to store all of our personal data is not acceptable. We ask Father for Your wisdom and divine strategies to continue to stand successfully against yet another threat to our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

6. Alien Terrorist Removal Court Receives First Case Since Inception in 1996

The Trump administration activated a never-before-used pathway for removing alien terrorists from the United States.
Since its creation in 1996, the Alien Terrorist Removal Court had lain dormant until it received the first-ever removal application from the Department of Justice (DOJ) on July 15 and held a debut hearing the following day for a suspected foreign terrorist, whose name is not mentioned in available court documents.
The judges currently serving are presiding Judge Ericksen of the Eighth Circuit for the District of Minnesota, since 2023; Judge Timothy DeGiusti of the 10th Circuit for the Western District of Oklahoma, since 2025; Judge Kenneth Karas of the Second Circuit for the Southern District of New York, since 2022; Judge Sara Lioi of the Sixth Circuit for the Northern District of Ohio, since 2025; and Judge Karin Immergut of the Ninth Circuit for the District of Oregon, who began this year. This is certainly a curious matter that this Court has lain dormant for 30 years. Thank You Father that President Trump has been able to activate it and we pray for these judges to be able to make expeditious judgments and be responsive to the needs of the nation in their decision making. We pray that there will be no compromise or bias within this Court and we call each one of these judges under the mighty hand of God and pray for them to judge fairly and with integrity, in Jesus's name.

When Confidence in Elections Is On The Ballot

Every American, regardless of party, should demand an election system that is accurate, transparent, secure, and worthy of the public’s trust. That is why the recent claims by President Trump that a Department of Homeland Security review identified hundreds of thousands of noncitizens on voter registration rolls deserve careful examination rather than instant dismissal. The proper response from elected officials, candidates, election administrators, and the news media is simple: investigate the claims, verify the facts, correct any problems, and strengthen the process wherever weaknesses exist. A constitutional republic depends upon confidence that every vote is secure, and every citizen can trust the outcome.
Instead, Democratic lawmakers and many election advocacy groups argued that the administration had failed to provide sufficient evidence supporting the DHS findings and warned that the claims could undermine public confidence in elections. Several mainstream media organizations framed the address primarily through the lens of Trump's past election challenges. Journalism carries the responsibility to examine the underlying evidence wherever it leads. If a credible federal review identifies possible vulnerabilities, the story should become whether those vulnerabilities exist and how they can be corrected. Treating every election integrity concern as merely another partisan talking point leaves many Americans wondering whether anyone is truly interested in improving the system. Read More

The Democratic Socialists of America just released a new party platform. Buried in the rhetoric about "working-class power" and "collective ownership" is a line that would make Karl Marx blush: the elimination of for-profit companies. Not regulation. Not higher taxes. Elimination.
They put it in an official document.
The DSA, which has become one of the most influential ideological engines inside the Democrat Party, published the platform on July 16, 2026.
The platform doesn't nibble around the edges. It calls for the end of for-profit enterprise as a concept. Every small business owner, every freelancer, every kid selling lemonade on a Saturday afternoon — the DSA looked at all of it and said no.
This matters because the DSA isn't a fringe pamphlet operation handing out leaflets at a community college. This is the ideological home of some of the most prominent members of Congress. And the fastest growing faction of the Democratic Party. This is the organization that helped launch careers, shape legislative priorities, and push the Overton window so far left that "democratic socialism" is now a mainstream branding exercise for ambitious politicians.

Archaeologists make unusual find near site where Ark of the Covenant was once kept

Archaeologists recently uncovered ancient food remains at biblical Shiloh, the ancient site where the Bible says the Ark of the Covenant was housed for centuries.
The remains were found at Tel Shiloh, an archaeological site in the West Bank that is traditionally identified as biblical Shiloh, where the Ark of the Covenant was kept before it was taken by the Philistines.
The discovery was made beneath an Israelite-period ritual deposit and adjacent to an ancient Canaanite fortification wall, according to the excavation team.
Two of the jars contained olives, while a third held lentils, according to archaeobotanical analysis — and one of the vessels contained some 500 burned olive pits.
The olives in the jar were likely preserved in oil before they were burned thousands of years ago, said Scott Stripling, excavation director and the president of the Near East Archaeological Society.
Stripling, who is based in Texas, told Fox News Digital that "some sort of accident" likely started a fire — and ended up preserving the olives for thousands of years.
"Once it started on fire, then it caught that whole area on fire," he said. "That's what it appears to me. But next year we'll have to excavate a broader area to better understand exactly what it was."
Before reaching the jars, archaeologists excavated an Israelite-period ritual deposit containing roughly 10,000 animal bones, pottery vessels and eight gold and silver objects, including pendants and earrings, Stripling said. (Fox News) Read More
