From Pulisic's 'Bible Time' to Team Prayer on the Field,
US Gives 'Glory to God' at World Cup
|
|
The U.S. Men's National Team is already off to an incredible start as the United States hosts the men's 2026 FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1994. American soccer fans are celebrating the amazing teamwork displayed during the U.S. men's opening game that led to a 4-1 victory over Paraguay. Part of that teamwork comes from a deep faith bond between many of the players who are boldly displaying their active faith in Christ.
After the team's victory over Paraguay, defender Mark McKenzie led the 2026 team in a group prayer. In the lead-up to the competition, U.S. players also weren't shy about how their faith helps them through the game pressures. Star winger Christian Pulisic is a leader on and off the field, too, talking about his "Bible Time" and even sharing Bible verses on his Instagram. In his 2026 docuseries called PULISIC, the team leader highlights the importance of his Bible-reading routine, revealing his men's Bible study that he calls "Bible Time" with his teammates.
Pulisic also told CBS in a 2021 postgame interview how his Christian faith gives him drive and strength in the sport: "I've had to continue to prove myself over and over again, but, as always, I reach out to God, and He gives me strength. With that behind me, nothing can stop me, really." (CBN) Read More Here

Abba, we celebrate the honoring of Jesus at the 2026 FIFA World Cup event through the amazing testimonies of faith being shared. May the strong bond among the players continue to display love and unity in the body of Christ. We declare these public proclamations of God's faithfulness will reach across the globe drawing thousands to thirst for His Word and His holy Ways! By the blood of the Lamb, we pray- Amen.
"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." (1 Peter 3:15)

Iran Walks Out of Switzerland Talks in Protest After Trump Threatens to 'Hit Iran Very Hard Again, Only Harder'
|
|
Iran's negotiating delegation walked out of nuclear talks in Switzerland on Sunday after US President Donald Trump publicly threatened to strike Iran again, bringing a fragile diplomatic process to an abrupt halt just as it had begun.
According to Iran's state-aligned Tasnim news agency, citing a source familiar with the negotiating team, Iran's delegation left the venue of talks at the Bürgenstock resort in protest. The Hormuz Letter, which monitors Gulf security developments, reported on X that talks are now 'fully suspended' following Iran's exit.
The walkout came after Trump posted a warning on Truth Social, calling on Iran to halt support for what he described as its 'highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon,' adding that the US would 'hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder' if Tehran did not comply. The statement landed as Vice President JD Vance and Iran's delegation had only just convened at Bürgenstock for the opening of 60-day technical negotiations under a memorandum of understanding signed earlier in the week.(IB Times/UK) Read more here.

Lord, this action by Iran is a foolish move that should be a ‘wake-up’ call for all. Dealing with terrorists is always unwise. We ask for a true solution that will protect both Israel and the US, and remove the threats posed by Hezbollah and Iran.

Iran declares the Strait of Hormuz closed again after US lifts blockade
|
|
Iran re-closed the Strait of Hormuz Friday instead of heading to Switzerland for nuclear negotiations, citing Israel’s refusal to pull forces out of southern Lebanon and US forces’ ongoing presence in the region.
In a statement read over maritime radio channels, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the US was in violation of the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran, which President Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian signed Wednesday.
“Since Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon, the complete lifting of the naval blockade, and the withdrawal of American terrorist forces from the Persian Gulf and the region are among the main conditions of the agreement between Iran and the United States, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until these conditions are met,” it said. “All ships are requested, for the sake of their security and safety, not to approach the Strait of Hormuz. Any vessel that defies this directive will be targeted.” (New York Post) Read more here.

Father, the shifting of Iran’s stance will likely infuriate US leadership, and cause even more tensions across the Middle East. We rebuke this Iranian action, and pray that You will cause the Strait to be open without Iranian influence and actions designed to cause upheaval.

Israel, Hezbollah agree to ceasefire, as US tries to close broader agreement with Iran to end war
|
|
Israel and Hezbollah reportedly agreed Friday to renew their ceasefire to end their fighting in southern Lebanon and help the US and Iran reach a broader deal to end their roughly four-month-long war.
CBS News is reporting the ceasefire, based on what it said was information from three diplomats briefed on the matter. The ceasefire follows renewed fighting overnight between Israel and Hezbollah.
The United States and Iran recently entered into a so-called memorandum of understanding to end their war. President Donald Trump signed the agreement Wednesday, and the sides have 60 days to reach a final agreement, according to the memorandum.
However, Israel attacking Iran proxy Hezbollah in southern Lebanon is complicating matters. Trump, and on Friday, Vice President JD Vance, sharply criticized Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the attacks. (Just the News) Read more here.

Lord, we are on the side of Israel at all times because of Your Word. But we also stand with the United States, as it is our land. We ask that You find a place of understanding and peace between both nations and the leadership. We pray that wisdom and truth will flow, that there be no more breach between the two.

Judge Allows Challenges to Trump’s Mail-In Voting Executive Order to Move Forward
|
|
A federal judge in Boston ruled on June 18 that lawsuits filed by Democratic-led states and voting rights organizations against President Donald Trump’s executive order on mail-in voting can move forward before the November elections.
The decision by U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani creates the possibility that the order could be blocked before the midterm elections, which will determine whether Republicans maintain control of Congress.
Talwani, an Obama appointee, said the lawsuits should be heard now because Trump’s order could directly affect upcoming primary and midterm elections. She noted that the order contains specific requirements for federal agencies and mandates election-related changes that could influence this year’s voting process.
According to the judge, delaying judicial review could cause significant harm to the plaintiffs. However, she also noted that it remains unclear exactly how federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will implement the order.
Because of those uncertainties, Talwani dismissed—for now—legal challenges related to elections taking place after the Nov. 3 midterms. She left open the possibility that those claims could be revived in the future. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Holy Lord, we pray that You will intervene to protect our elections from activist judges and those who seek to twist the elections. We ask for fair and impartial judges, as well as fair and free elections. We erect a hedge of protection around every election in the United States, and plead the Blood of Jesus over them. Let Your Word and Your truth prevail.
“The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times. You, O Lord, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.” (Psalm12:6-7)

1. Netanyahu responds to Trump: 'What would the US do?' - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) International Policy Summit on Sunday, declaring that Israel has achieved historic victories against Iran and its proxies and vowing that the Jewish state will continue to defend itself on every front.
Netanyahu opened his remarks by addressing claims about his relationship with US President Donald Trump.
“In the United States, they say that President Trump does everything that I ask him to do, and in Israel, they say that I do everything he wants me to do. Neither is true," Netanyahu said. “We're leaders of independent and proud countries. We stand for our interests. I stand for the interests of Israel and for its security." (Read more)

2. IDF captures Hezbollah drone factory and launch site hidden inside south Lebanon mount - Times of Israel
MAJDAL ZOUN, Lebanon — Buried beneath a hilltop village in southern Lebanon, just kilometers from the Israeli border, the Hezbollah terror group built an underground drone “airbase” from which it launched Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles at Israel.
The subterranean facility, guarded by massive steel blast doors, was built in the past decade with direct Iranian assistance, including planning and funding, Israeli military officials told The Times of Israel during an organized media tour of the site last week.
Journalists were brought into Lebanon at dusk, so that the visit to the tunnel would take place under the cover of darkness — an attempt by the military to mitigate the possibility of Hezbollah attacks on members of the press.
As the sun set over the Mediterranean, reporters were driven in a convoy of Humvees along the Lebanese coast before heading east toward Majdal Zoun, some six kilometers (3.7 miles) from the Israeli frontier. (Read more)

3. Israel and Hezbollah renew ceasefire after flare-up, but IDF to stay in southern Lebanon - Times of Israel
Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire on Friday afternoon, a US official said, after another flare-up in southern Lebanon that saw four Israeli soldiers and dozens of Lebanese casualties.
The renewed truce appeared as fragile as ever, as it didn’t see Israel pull out of the large buffer zone it established in southern Lebanon — one that Hezbollah has used to justify continued attacks on troops stationed there as well as on northern Israeli towns across the border.
The latest deal was brokered by the US and Qatar through talks with Israel and Iran respectively, a senior US official said in a statement to reporters. While Hezbollah sources confirmed the truce, Israel refrained from doing so publicly until Friday evening when its ambassador to the US declared that Jerusalem “remains firmly committed to an immediate ceasefire.” (Read more)

4. Northern Israelis fear Trump’s Lebanon ceasefire will trap them in 'a living hell'
- Jerusalem Post
Mayor David Azoulay’s office in Metula, Israel’s northernmost town, features a portrait of US President Donald Trump and an American flag. It’s not an act of praise, but ironic protest.
“Over the past four months, Israel’s policy has been driven entirely by Trump,” said Azoulay, from his office on the Lebanese border, which has become the central sticking point in US-Iranian negotiations to end the war. “Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu is trapped in a bear hug that is slowly suffocating us Israelis. Case in point: the memorandum of understanding with Iran.”
That’s especially true in northern Israel, which is at the heart of the fight between Israel and Hezbollah that even on Friday derailed the first round of peace talks between the US and Iran in Switzerland. It’s also become a source of tension in Netanyahu’s relationship with Trump, who has spent the week publicly slamming the Israeli premier and what he called Israel’s “vicious” approach to Lebanon. 5. Turkey-based Hamas cell behind dozens of attacks on Israel over past year
- World Israel News
The Shin Bet security agency and the IDF said Sunday that Israeli security forces foiled dozens of attacks over the past year that were directed by Hamas operatives based in Turkey, accusing members of the terror group’s Judea and Samaria headquarters of using Turkish territory to recruit operatives, move funds and transfer weapons for attacks against Israeli targets.
According to the security agencies, Hamas’s Judea and Samaria branch has for years been responsible for advancing and directing attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces in the area.
The agencies said the branch’s activity from Turkey had intensified over the past year, with Hamas operatives working from Turkish territory to recruit Palestinians for attacks, transfer weapons and send money to operatives on the ground. (Read more)

1. Court Filing: Democrat AGs Behind Lawfare Coordinated With Leftist Groups About ‘How To Stop Trump’- The Federalist
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes on Thursday announced she is dismissing her years-long witch hunt against President Donald Trump’s allies while desperately clinging to hope she can soon resurrect it. Perhaps a new motion filed in Maricopa County Court alleging Mayes and fellow far-left attorneys general from multiple swing states engaged in prosecutorial collusion forced her hand.
Attorneys for Christina Bobb, former Republican National Committee Counsel for Election Integrity, have filed a motion to disqualify Mayes from the case, accusing the Democrat of working with leftist lawfare group States United Democracy Center in her corrupt prosecution. A supplemental filing to the motion obtained by The Federalist asserts the coordinated campaign originated from a “small group of politically motivated lawyers to pursue partisan interests.”
And the lawfare warriors — including Arizona’s politically motivated attorney general — “are functionally tools of the Democratic Party,” Bobb’s legal counsel, Tucson lawyer Thomas Jacobs, told The Federalist in a phone interview on Wednesday. According to the court filing, the Democratic Attorneys General Association cut a $200,000 check to the attorney general’s legal defense fund after Bobb and her fellow co-defendants were paraded into court for their arraignments.
It all appears to be an extreme conflict of interest, and certainly not the narrative of noble public servants taking down the “fake elector” schemers behind Trump’s attempt to “overthrow” the 2020 election. That big lie on the left has been crumbling in courtrooms in several swing states, including in Arizona where the state’s highest court took Mayes’ legally suspect prosecution off life support earlier this month. Holy God of Justice, we take Your Authority over these “politically motivated” AGs and bind tightly their evil plans. We ask You to prevent any further lawfare, and bring accountability to those who have participated in it.

2: Supreme Court Delivers Unanimous Blow To Gun Law Used In Hunter Biden Case- Daily Wire
The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled Thursday that the federal government unconstitutionally applied a gun restriction law to a Texas man who regularly used marijuana, narrowing the reach of the same federal statute that was used in the prosecution of Hunter Biden.
In United States v. Hemani, the Court held that prosecutors violated the Second Amendment when they charged Ali Hemani under a federal law prohibiting firearm possession by unlawful users of controlled substances.
Justice Neil Gorsuch, writing for the majority, emphasized that the ruling was limited and did not eliminate the government’s ability to disarm dangerous individuals, addicts, or people actively under the influence.
“We do not address efforts to ban addicts, or those presently intoxicated, from possessing a firearm,” Gorsuch wrote. (Read more)

3. DOJ sues New York for forcing Catholic nursing facilities to house men with women- Just The News
The Justice Department is indicating it will intervene in a lawsuit filed in New York by Catholic nuns after the state forced them to house biological men with women.
The Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne allege that the New York law requiring the housing of biological men with women violates the U.S. Constitution’s equal protection clause, and the DOJ agrees.
“States should take notice that they cannot require Americans to abandon their religious beliefs in the name of woke gender ideology,” Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon said in a statement Thursday announcing the DOJ’s involvement.
“For more than a century, the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne have provided free palliative care to indigent cancer patients in their last days. New York’s law would force these religious women to choose between their faith and their license if they wish to continue serving the dying.”
The DOJ’s complaint alleges that New York Public Health Law § 2803-c-2 violates the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause by forcing religious facilities to violate their beliefs. The New York law requires long-term care facilities to provide rooms to transgender residents based on their “gender identity” rather than their biological sex, and forces facility staff to use preferred pronouns and names. Father, we pray that these ridiculous rules will be thwarted by Your power. We ask that the DOJ will be successful in their challenge to this law. We pray for You to bring a deep relationship and truth with each of these Nuns, bringing them hope and faith to weather the fight against people who do not know You.
“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” (Matt. 21:22)

4. Trump-Meloni spat grows over claim Italian PM 'begged' for photo: 'astonished'- Fox News
A simmering rift between President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni burst into the open Friday after the G7 summit, exposing growing tensions between two leaders whose close political alliance had long positioned Meloni among Trump's closest allies on the world stage.
"Donald Trump's statements are completely made up. I am frankly astonished. I don't know why the president of the United States behaves like this towards his allies: it is not the first time, moreover," Meloni said Friday, according to Reuters.
Trump told an Italian news outlet that Meloni "begged" him to take a photo with her during the G7 earlier this week, which sparked strong rebuke from the prime minister and Italian diplomats. Before the recent strain over Iran, Meloni was widely viewed as one of Trump's strongest allies on the world stage, even attending his 2025 presidential inauguration as the only European leader present.
"She wanted a picture with me so badly. I wouldn't have taken it, but I felt sorry for her," Trump said to La7 TV channel. "She's probably happy I talked to her. I didn't have to talk to her." (Read more)

Lord God, we know that our President is not a politician, and often speaks his mind in an unfiltered manner. We ask that people like PM Meloni and even President Trump brush off perceived offenses rather than responding with anger.

5. Pro Baseball Team Forfeits after Players Reject Pride Uniforms – The Washington Stand
In the face of public backlash and devastating consumer boycotts, many corporate entities have backed away from the public celebration of Pride Month over the past two years, but some corporate forces still haven’t learned the lesson. On Thursday night, one group of businessmen were given a lesson when the players on the baseball team that they own and operate rebelled against a planned Pride Night event.
The minor league York Revolution baseball team, based in York, Pennsylvania, canceled a game Thursday night against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, ultimately forfeiting the game, when players refused to wear LGBT Pride jerseys that management had picked for the night. “Unfortunately, several of our players have refused to wear the scheduled Pride Night jersey and the club decided that hosting the event is more important than forcing players to wear jerseys they are not comfortable with and playing the game,” York Revolution management said in a statement. The Pride Night event was still hosted, but without a baseball game. Management then proceeded to criticize players for refusing to wear the Pride-themed gear:
“To be clear; this action by the players is completely inconsistent with our vision as the Most Welcoming Place in York. As a small token of our regret for the last-minute change of plans and support for our LGBTQIA+ representing partners we are making a $10,000 donation to the Rainbow Rose Center to support and further their work in making sure the York community is as inclusive as we strive to make WellSpan Park in York, Pennsylvania.”
York-based businessman Bill Shipley owns the controlling interest in the York Revolution and his son, Ben Shipley, serves as president and general manager, as of 2025. Other investors include the Kinsley Companies and Stewart Companies, among others.
Last week, players for the major league baseball team San Francisco Giants similarly rebelled against Pride Month messaging when pitchers Landen Roupp, J.T. Brubaker, and Ryan Walker wrote Bible verses on their Pride-themed caps.
|
|
Lord, we praise You for the courage of these players to refuse to participate in a sin-filled situation. We ask Your favor and blessing for their team and their future as they continue to do what is right.
“So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”

6: Christian Therapist Beats State of Oregon, Will Not Have to Pay Eye-Watering Fine for Standing By Christian Beliefs - The Gateway Pundit/Western Journal
A Roman Catholic therapist who refused to bow to the LGBT altar is no longer being threatened with a $90,000 fine for being true to his beliefs.
Frank Canepa ran afoul of Oregon’s rules when he refused to get all gushy over a client’s same-sex relationship, according to Just the News.
Oregon’s Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists decided that standing up instead of bowing down required a hefty dose of discipline, and whacked Canepa with a $90,000 fine. The penalty and the disciplinary notice that went with it have both been rescinded.
Then came a March ruling from the Supreme Court that cut the legs out from under Oregon by ruling in favor of a Colorado therapist, Kaley Chiles, who did not fall into line with state thinking by saying minor clients suffered from gender confusion.
|
|
|
Lord, thank You for this win! We ask that Oregon’s constant attacks on any Christians be stop by the Power of Your Spirit. We bind the plans against Your people of all stripes and ask for faith, prayer, and strength to fight against the onslaught.
“When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before your presence. For you have maintained my just cause; you have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment. You have rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish; you have blotted out their name forever and ever. The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins; their cities you rooted out; the very memory of them has perished.” (Psalm 9:3-6)

Ancient Israelite mansion stone may provide evidence of King Hezekiah’s biblical reform
|
|
|
A 2,750-year-old standing stone discovered in an Israelite mansion at Tel Eton, south of Jerusalem, could provide new archaeological evidence related to the biblical King Hezekiah’s efforts to centralize Jewish worship in Jerusalem, according to a new study from Bar-Ilan University.
The study, authored by professor Avraham Faust, argues that the artifact may have functioned as a massebah, or standing stone, a religious feature commonly used throughout the ancient Near East. If the interpretation is correct, its apparent destruction could align with Hezekiah’s biblical campaign against local worship sites and religious symbols outside of Jerusalem.
The ancient artifact weighs around 750 kilograms (1,650 pounds) and measures 1.4 meters (4.6 feet) high.
“Standing stones were a common religious feature in the ancient Middle East and beyond from prehistory to a much later period, and are attested in both archaeological finds and written sources, including in the Bible,” Faust said in an interview with The Times of Israel.
“People used large stones as a symbol,” he continued. “Their exact meaning is debated, but all scholars agree that they were used in religious contexts." (The Christian Post)
