'Squad' members condemn antisemitic attack in Boulder after years of controversy
|

|
Progressive Democrats spoke out against antisemitism following a terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado, in which an Egyptian national set peaceful protesters on fire at a demonstration to bring Israeli hostages home.
"I am horrified by last night’s horrific attack in Boulder," progressive Democrat and potential 2028 presidential candidate,Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said on X. "My heart is with the victims and our Jewish communities across the country. Antisemitism is on the rise here at home, and we have a moral responsibility to confront and stop it everywhere it exists."
Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who was voted off the House Foreign Affairs Committee in 2023 and was hit with a censure resolution in 2024 for alleged antisemitism, condemned the violence on Monday. "I’m holding the victims and families in Boulder, Colorado in my heart," Omar said in a social media post. "Violence against anyone is never acceptable. We must reject hatred and harm in all its forms."
"The violent attack in Boulder is horrific. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. Violence has no place in our communities," Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich. said on X.
Two progressive Democrats, who joined Congress in 2022, also slammed the "antisemitic attack" in social media statements.
"I am horrified by the antisemitic attack in Boulder, Colorado," Rep. Greg Casar, D-Texas, who was elected in 2022, said on social media. "My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and Jewish communities across the country.
Rep. Maxwell Frost, D-Fla., the first Gen-Z congressman, admitted he should have supported a resolution in 2023 condemning antisemitism on college campuses. He joined the progressive Democrats on Monday who condemned the attack. "I’m horrified to hear about the antisemitic attack in Boulder, just weeks after the shooting of two Israeli embassy officials in DC. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. There is no place for this hatred and violence — and we must keep working to end it. Political and bigoted violence in our country must be denounced swiftly and strongly by all," he said. Navy ship USNS Harvey Milk to be renamed as part of Pentagon's 'warrior culture' shift

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the renaming of a U.S. Navy ship named after San Francisco gay rights activist Harvey Milk.
The news outlet Military first reported on a memorandum issued by the Office of the Secretary of the Navy rolling out plans to rename the oiler USNS Harvey Milk.
The outlet reported that a defense official said the U.S. Navy was making preparations to strip the ship of its name and that Hegseth had directed Navy Secretary John Phelan to do so. Military also reported the official saying the timing of the announcement during Pride month was intentional.
The memo directing the renaming of the ship said the move is meant to mark a shift in culture in the Department of Defense and U.S. Navy in "alignment with president and SECDEF [secretary of defense] objectives and SECNAV [secretary of the Navy] priorities of reestablishing the warrior culture," according to the outlet.
In an emailed statement sent to Fox News, chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell did not deny the renaming of the ship but indicated that further name changes may be coming.
"Secretary Hegseth is committed to ensuring that the names attached to all DOD installations and assets are reflective of the Commander-in-Chief’s priorities, our nation’s history, and the warrior ethos," said Parnell.
Parnell said that "any potential renaming(s) will be announced after internal reviews are complete." (Fox News) Read more here.

Patel sounds alarm as Chinese nationals charged with smuggling 'agroterrorism agent' into US:
'direct threat'

FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox News Digital that the case involving two Chinese nationals who were charged Tuesday with allegedly smuggling a "dangerous biological pathogen" into the U.S. to study at the University of Michigan laboratory demonstrates a serious national security threat to America's food supply.
"This case is a sobering reminder that the Chinese Communist Party continues to deploy operatives and researchers to infiltrate our institutions and target our food supply, an act that could cripple our economy and endanger American lives," Patel told Fox in a statement. "Smuggling a known agroterrorism agent into the U.S. is not just a violation of law, it’s a direct threat to national security. I commend the FBI Detroit Division and our partners at CBP for stopping this biological threat before it could do real damage."
University of Michigan research fellow Yunqing Jian and her boyfriend, Zunyong Liu – both citizens of the People's Republic of China – have been charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy, smuggling goods into the United States, false statements, and visa fraud, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan announced Tuesday. The investigation is being conducted by the FBI and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The couple are accused of smuggling a fungus called Fusarium graminearum, which scientific literature classifies as a "potential agroterrorism weapon," according to the Justice Department. Federal prosecutors note the noxious fungus causes "head blight," a disease of wheat, barley, maize, and rice, and "is responsible for billions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year." Anti-Semitic Attacks Spreading Fear among Jewish Members of Congress

A recent series of anti-Semitic terror attacks in America has Jews on high alert, worried that they may become the victim. Even Jewish members of Congress are alarmed; Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.) said he “increased our investment in security.” As the name suggests, terrorism is spreading terror. The racist violence threatens not only Jews but America’s entire system of constitutional order.
Landsman seems to encounter near-constant hostility for his Jewish identity. On the anniversary of the October 7 attack, pro-Hamas demonstrators erected an encampment outside Landsman’s Cincinnati home. Even now, “the number of times in the course of a week I’m called a ‘Jewish demon’ is pretty unsettling,” he said.
In addition to Schneider and Landsman, Reps. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), Laura Friedman (D-Calif.), and Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) also said Jews face extra danger after the recent series of anti-Semitic terror attacks.
Gottheimer and Landsman urged the Trump administration to authorize more grants through the Nonprofit Safety Grant Program, which provides security for houses of worship. (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

Analysis: Corporations Fear Conservative Consumers, Trump Admin. Enough to Leave Pride Month Alone

Pride Month 2025 has begun — not with a bang, but a whimper, seemingly continuing a trend as corporations and institutions back away from celebrating the LGBT agenda. According to a report from Gravity Research, nearly 40% of corporate executives have muted their Pride promotion this year, while no executives reported plans to increase their Pride messaging.
The majority of the scaling back will impact public-facing initiatives, including advertising and merchandising, while internal Pride operations, such as workplace events or activities and corporate donations to LGBT activist organizations, will “remain largely intact.” However, even many of those corporate donations are now being made quietly or even anonymously, in an effort to avoid backlash.
While many companies and corporations are scaling back or almost completely abandoning Pride promotion, some brands are continuing to release Pride merchandise lines. According to Pink News, well-known brands like Abercrombie and Fitch, Apple, Converse, Hollister, Levi’s, Puma, Skullcandy, and others have all released Pride-themed lines and collections, ranging from rainbow-colored products to LGBT activist slogans emblazoned on jackets or shoes and all the way to explicitly sexual “homoerotic” imagery stamped on T-shirts.
But other brands and retailers have significantly toned down their Pride selection. Target, for example, notoriously generated rage in 2022 and 2023 when it began selling transgender-oriented “chest binders” and “packing underwear,” Pride-themed onesies, and Satanist-inspired LGBT outfits — all marketed to and made for children. Now, almost all of the retail chain’s Pride merchandise is available only online, as opposed to in-store, and is labeled “ADULT.” According to multiple reports, Target has replaced its in-store Pride section with merchandise and messaging featuring patriotic American gear emblazoned with the American flag. 1. Haredi conscription spells turmoil for Netanyahu’s coalition - JNS
United Torah Judaism and Shas, Israel’s main Haredi political parties, are considering escalating political pressure on the coalition over the country’s stalled conscription law, Haredi media reported on Wednesday.
UTJ, which is the Ashkenazi Haredi party, is awaiting the outcome of a key meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening between party representatives and Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Yuli Edelstein, according to Behadrei Haredim, a prominent Haredi news site.
The Haredi parties are pushing the coalition to pass a law that would exempt a large number of young Haredi men from military service. UTJ has in the past threatened to pull out of the government unless progress was made on an exemption by June 3.

2. IDF issues evacuation warning for areas of northern Gaza, including Beit Lahiya and Jabalya - Jerusalem Post
The IDF on Wednesday warned Gaza civilians against returning to the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, IDF Arabic Spokesperson Avichay Adraee said in a post on Twitter/X.
The warning follows reports of Gazans returning to or planning to return to the areas of Beit Lahiya, Jabalya, Beit Hanoun, and other neighbourhoods.
These areas are "dangerous combat zones," where the IDF continues to operate "with very heavy force," the post said. (Read more)

3. Hamas may encourage civilians to invade Israel, IDF warns - World Israel News
An Israeli military assessment urges preparation for a scenario in which Hamas may incite the Gazan population to invade Israel, Walla reported.
In response, the military deployed intelligence assets and reserve units and clarified the rules of engagement for senior commanders in the field.
The IDF also discussed the terror group’s sabotaging of the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s (GHF) distribution of aid to civilians in the Strip.
Although the GHF has successfully distributed tens of thousands of food packages, each one designed to last 50 days, Hamas continues to arm its terrorists to intimidate civilians from receiving aid. (Read more)

4. Iran: Man accused of spying for Israel sentenced to death - Israel National News
Iran's Supreme Court has sentenced a man accused of spying for Israel to death.
The alleged spy was accused of transporting the equipment used to carry out the 2020 assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
Fakhrizadeh was killed when his car was ambushed on a highway outside Tehran in November 2020.
Iran has accused Israel of directing Fakhrizadeh’s death, calling his elimination an act of "state terrorism." (Read more)

5. Surge of Antisemitic Incidents Rocks France Amid Growing Security Concerns

France has been hit by a wave of antisemitic incidents in recent days, despite increased security at Jewish sites nationwide following last month’s antisemitic shooting in Washington, DC — prompting urgent calls from the country’s Jewish community for stronger government action amid growing fears of escalating violence.
On Friday, a French rabbi was violently assaulted by three drunken individuals in the town of Deauville, located in the Normandy region of northwestern France.
According to local police, Rabbi Eli Lemel — a prominent figure in French Jewry — was attacked around 3:30 pm by three men who approached him, repeatedly punched him in the stomach, and shouted antisemitic slurs.
French authorities have launched an investigation into the assault, but no arrests have been made so far. (Read more)

1. Alaska Natives say the Biden admin ignored them, but Trump cabinet members hold town hall there - Just the News
Utqiagvik, Alaska, sits on the North Slope of Alaska, the northernmost community in the U.S. The town has less than 5,000 residents and can only be accessed by air or, in the summer, by sea. Despite its remoteness, this week, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Energy Secretary Chris Wright and EPA administrator Lee Zeldin made the trek — 2,000 miles from Washington, D.C., as the crow flies — to visit the area and talk to the town’s residents, more than half of which are Alaska Natives, about unleashing Alaskan oil and gas.
While the Biden administration professed a commitment to Native American sovereignty and inclusion, when it came to oil and gas production, Alaskan Natives who advocated for their interests in the industry say their concerns were ignored.

2. Army hits recruiting goal four months early - Just the News
The U.S. Army hit its recruiting goal four months early, reaching the 61,000 target before the Sept. 30 deadline. The Army's goal this year is more than 10% higher than the 55,000 recruitment target for the prior fiscal year, the military branch said in its announcement Tuesday.
"This achievement represents a significant turning point for the Army and indicates a renewed sense of patriotism and purpose among America’s youth," according to the Army.
Daily average contracts have exceeded "last year’s levels by as much as 56% during the same period," the military branch said.

3. Early voting begins in NJ governor race with Trump-backed candidate hoping to flip blue seat for GOP - Just the News
Early in-person voting began Tuesday in the New Jersey primaries to decide the state's next governor, with Republicans hoping to flip a blue-state governorship after coming up short in 2024. President Trump, who is backing front-running GOP candidate Jack Ciattarelli, thinks so.
“New Jersey is ready to pop out of that blue horror show and really get in there and vote for somebody that’s going to make things happen,” Trump, who last month endorsed Ciattarelli, said Monday. Former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who worked for two Democratic presidents and had one of the most public-facing roles in the Biden administration, is urging Americans to “embrace life as independents.”
Jean-Pierre shares her message with readers in a forthcoming book, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” poised to be released in October by Hachette Book Group’s Legacy Lit imprint.

5. Religious Freedom Bills Could Fundamentally Shift Texan Culture - Million Voices
Texas went all-in on religious freedom legislation in May, championing a series of bills that could fundamentally shift the culture of the state.
Texas lawmakers are moving a series of significant religious freedom and pro-family bills through the House and Senate, sending them to the desk of Gov. Greg Abbott to sign into law, providing the state with the foundation to fundamentally shift Texan culture.
SB 10. The Ten Commandments bill was introduced by state Sen. Phil King, and brings the religious text back to classroom walls and curriculum. “The Ten Commandments are part of our Texas and American story. They are ingrained into who we are as a people and as a nation. Today, our students cry out for the moral clarity, for the statement of right and wrong that they represent. If our students don’t know the Ten Commandments, they will never understand the foundation for much of American history and law,” Sen. King said when introducing the bill.
SB 11. SB 11 protects freedom of prayer in schools, allowing students who receive parental consent to “opt into a period of prayer and the reading of the Bible or other religious texts.”
SB 1049. Children who receive parental consent will also be allowed to attend religious courses, like Bible studies, during school hours off-campus. (Read more)

6. Seattle Mayor Appears To Blame Christians For Being Violently Attacked - Million Voices
Lead pastor of Pursuit NW, Russell Johnson, is demanding Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell resign after he blamed Christians for “provoking” violence against them at a rally in May.
The faith-based MayDay USA organization, known for encouraging Christians to speak out on the issues that matter most to us, like abortion, child trafficking, and more, were met by an estimated 500 counter-protestors during their May rally at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle, Washington. The protestors were waving flags in support of “transgender” people, and started clashing with law enforcement “almost immediately after gathering around 1 p.m., with officers in riot gear being shoved and soon pelted with water bottles and other items,” according to the New York Post.
An estimated 23 protestors were arrested over the course of five hours, and it is unclear how many of them were from the “Keep Your Bibles off Our Bodies,” but reports reviewed by Million Voices suggest all but one of those placed under arrest came from the counter-Christian protest. All of those arrested were released on their own personal recognizance by Judge Pro Tem Sarah Perez, according to local radio host Jason Rantz. (Read more) |

Stupidocrisy: The Coup We Were Told Never Happened

For years, Americans were gaslit. Anyone questioning Joe Biden’s cognitive ability, the legitimacy of the 2020 election, or the integrity of the media were labeled conspiracy theorists, extremists, or simply out of touch. Turns out, the so-called crazies were right. And the media, once the supposed watchdog of truth, was complicit in a cover-up that will go down as one of the darkest chapters in American political history. CNN’s Jake Tapper has admitted that Lara Trump was right about Biden and he even apologized to her. But he did what all media spin artists do: blamed “both sides.” Tapper says, sure, Biden was unfit, but there were “crazy things” being said on the right too, as if that makes hiding the truth acceptable.
Here’s the real issue: the media had the transcript of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with Joe Biden back in March 2024. That transcript included damning audio of Biden demonstrating he could not recall when he was vice president or the year his son died. Not minor lapses, these are major disqualifications for the leader of the free world. CNN had it. The White House knew it. And they all buried it. US Representative James Comer (R-Ky) didn’t mince words when he called it “the biggest scandal in American history.” And he may be right. UN Report: Amid Negotiations, Iran’s Enriched Uranium Increased 49% Since February

Iranian stockpiles of enriched uranium have grown by nearly 50% since February, according to a Saturday report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the U.N. organ tasked with monitoring Iran’s nuclear stockpiles. The radical Islamist regime now possesses 900.8 pounds of enriched uranium, enough to construct 10 nuclear weapons, up from the 605.8 pounds noted in the IAEA’s February 8 report. “The nuclear program that Iran is trying to implement or create — that is top of mind for the Israelis and the Israeli government,” said Rep. Marlon Stutzman (R-Ind.).
The latest IAEA statistic was part of a confidential quarterly report released before its 35-nation board of governors meeting on June 9. Despite this confidentiality, multiple international news agencies viewed the report.
Iran’s uranium is now enriched to 60%, far above the level needed for civilian applications. The process of transforming 60%-enriched uranium into weapons-grade uranium (90%-enriched) takes a matter of days. Iran is the only nation without nuclear weapons to have uranium enriched to 60%, according to the IAEA.
Iran’s stockpile of nearly-weapons-grade uranium has more than doubled over the past 12 months.
The rapid increase in Iranian stockpiles heightens Israeli fears about the hostile regime’s intention to obtain nuclear weapons. “The agency presents a stark picture that serves as a clear warning sign: Despite countless warnings by the international community, Iran is totally determined to complete its nuclear weapons program,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the report.
“The report strongly reinforces what Israel has been saying for years — the purpose of Iran’s nuclear program is not peaceful,” Netanyahu continued. “This is evident from the alarming scope of Iran’s uranium enrichment activity. Such a level of enrichment exists only in countries actively pursuing nuclear weapons and has no civilian justification whatsoever.”

Meanwhile, Israel maintains that its future security — even existence — may hang in the balance. “The report clearly indicates that Iran remains in non-compliance of its fundamental commitments and obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and continues to withhold cooperation from IAEA inspectors,” Netanyahu concluded. “The international community must act now to stop Iran.” (The Washington Stand) Read more

International Prayer Alert: Praying together to end our world's many conflicts!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We are living at one of the most dangerous times in world history! There are many wars and conflicts going on around the world, but several of them have the greatest likelihood of escalation to World War III, probably even with the deployment of nuclear weapons, which would be an extreme horror and tragedy for tens of millions of people. At the same time, God Almighty is the great peacemaker who sent His Son as the Prince of Peace into our world to bring about the healing and deliverance of not just individuals but whole nations if we will pray with the faith and authority that He will inspire within us.
Please note the following "flash points" as we watch and pray:
1. Russia-Ukraine- the Istanbul peace talks have been largely inconsequential except for the exchange of POWs and thousands of soldiers' bodies. Both sides have continued to attack one another in increasingly destructive drone and missile strikes that stir both sides to up the ante.
2. China-Taiwan- China has continued to threaten its island neighbor with invasion and takeover. Such a war would draw the USA into a direct confrontation with China because of a past mutual defense agreement with Taiwan.
3. India-Pakistan- in spite of the ceasefire, there are still disturbing signs of a possible return to open conflict as India's government threatens Pakistan's access to rivers of water flowing from India and wants Pakistan to hand over its part of Kashmir which will never happen.
4. Israel-Iran- Iran will never give up its intention to build and use nukes under the current rule of its fanatical Islamist mullahs. "U.S. intelligence suggests that Israel is actively preparing for a potential strike on Iranian nuclear sites amid ongoing negotiations between Tehran and the Trump administration over a new nuclear deal." Energy Department Blocks Closure of Power Generation Units

Continued operation of the units is expected to reduce risks of power generation shortfall and electricity outages in the United States.

The Department of Energy (DOE) issued an emergency order on May 31 that directs power grid operator PJM Interconnection to continue running two fossil fuel power generation units beyond their scheduled end date in a bid to safeguard electric grid reliability, the agency said in a May 31 statement.
PJM, which administers the largest power grid in North America, manages the electric system that provides power to 67 million people across 13 states and the District of Columbia.
The emergency order is related to the Eddystone Generating Station, owned and operated by energy producer Constellation. Located in Pennsylvania, Eddystone is an 820-megawatt power plant. Two of the power-generating units at the facility, which run on oil and natural gas, were scheduled to be retired by May 31.
“[However,] DOE’s order states that PJM shall, in coordination with Constellation Energy, run specified units at the Eddystone Generating Station, when PJM deems necessary, past their planned retirement date,” the statement reads. According to the agency, the order was issued “due to resource adequacy concerns given the timing of the retirement of the generation units coinciding with sustained increased energy demand.”
In his March 25 testimony before the House Committee on Energy & Commerce, PJM President Manu Asthana cited growing concerns about the stability of the electric grid.
“The rate of electricity demand is anticipated to increase significantly in the future due to the development of large data centers in the PJM service area,” he said. “There have also been increases in demand coming from the electrification of the transportation and heating sectors and from industrial growth. “The pace of retirements of existing dispatchable fossil-based resources, largely due to state and federal policies, is clearly outpacing the rate of construction of new resources.”
The DOE stated that the order to continue operating two units at Eddystone Generating Station would minimize the risk of power generation shortfall that could result in unnecessary outages.
“Maintaining access to affordable, reliable, and secure power is always our top priority, particularly during the summer months when electricity demand reaches its peak,” U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said. Americans should never be left wondering whether they will be able to turn on their lights or air conditioning. This emergency order helps keep money in consumers’ pockets while keeping their homes and businesses fully powered. Holy Spirit, please put Your scientists, engineers and builders into positions to facilitate the best possible plan in having enough power available when it is needed. Father God, we need You to intervene in development of power plants, intercede supernaturally to develop and build what You know is needed to support all electrical grids in our nation with such speed that there will be no question of "who" is bringing these plants online, that You will be given all the glory and honor due Your name. 4 states stand out in this 1,000-tornado season
|
|
|
The United States has seen 1,000 preliminary tornado reports so far this year, and four states lead the pack.
While still far above the historical average, the 2025 tornado season in the United States has fallen to fourth place in the 15-year record, after spending most of the year as the second-most active year, behind only the blockbuster 2011 tornado season.
Fueled by a series of major outbreaks in mid-March, early April and mid-May, four states have emerged as the hardest hit so far this year.
Texas leads all states with 109 tornado reports this year. Illinois and Missouri are next with 105 reports each. Mississippi recorded 100 preliminary reports. This stands in comparison to last year's stats at the end of May— when the top five states were Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri and Oklahoma.
The biggest change since last year is for Iowa, which had over 100 tornado reports in 2024 and only 11 in 2025. Meanwhile, Mississippi had only 11 reports last year but has 100 this year. (AccuWeather) Read More
