Josh Hawley says America was 'founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ'
|

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., recently warned a group of seminary students that the United States is in the midst of a “spiritual crisis” caused by the rejection of Christian teachings, contending that the country “was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Hawley delivered a Duke K. McCall Leadership Lecture at Boyce College of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 16, beginning by assuring students in the audience that “the nation needs you.”
“It’s not just churches that rise or fall with a good ministry, with a trained ministry, with a zealous ministry. It is the nation that rises or falls with the ministry,” the 46-year-old senator said. “This country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This country was founded on the truth of the Bible. This country was not founded on some Enlightenment secularism. It was not founded on a series of neutral principles, whatever those would be. This country was founded on the truth of Scripture."
“When the world says to the Church ‘stay put,’ the world is asking us to abandon not just our mission as Christians, which is the most central thing, it’s asking us to forget who we are as Americans," he continued. He urged churches to reject any demand to 'stay put.' “We must not stay safe. We must not stay comfortable,” Hawley insisted. “Is the Lord Jesus Lord over all of life or Lord only of the four walls of the church?” Hawley, an Evangelical Protestant, stressed the need for revival in the U.S. ahead of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Father, we thank You for the bold stance of Senator Josh Hawley, reminding seminary students that our nation was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ! May his words resonate in the hearts of these students, who will one day stand behind pulpits and minister as next generation shepherds to the people of God. Lord, we are in agreement with Senator Hawley and we pray for Holy Spirit REVIVAL within our country. As we prepare for the celebration of our nation's 250th Anniversary, we ask You to cause genuine heart-felt repentance to fall upon Your people and all citizens so the truth of the Gospel and Salvation in Christ may be experienced across America! California mayor accused of secretly working for China, spreading propaganda while in office: feds
|
|
A California mayor who has since resigned has been charged with acting as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China and has agreed to plead guilty, according to federal prosecutors who say she secretly worked to push pro-Beijing messaging inside the United States before she took office.
Eileen Wang, former mayor of Arcadia, California, has been charged with acting as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China and has agreed to plead guilty to the felony offense, the Justice Department announced. She now faces up to 10 years in federal prison along with a potential $250,000 fine, though any sentence would be determined by a federal judge.
Federal prosecutors say Wang admitted she acted "at the direction and control" of Chinese government officials from at least 2020 through 2022, coordinating with individuals in the U.S. to spread pro-Beijing messaging, all without notifying the U.S. Attorney General as required by law. The conduct described by prosecutors occurred before Wang took office on the Arcadia City Council in December 2022. Fox News (Read more)

GOP Congressman Wants to Clear Name of the World's Most Prominent Falsely Accused Innocent Man
|

It’s clear now that both impeachments of President Donald Trump were shabby partisan affairs based on zero evidence, and that will be remembered as shameful episodes in American history. So why should they remain on the record? Is there no way for the man to clear his name? Now Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is taking action to “expunge” both impeachments.
Fox News reported Monday that Issa “has introduced a resolution aimed at reversing the two impeachments of President Donald Trump in the House of Representatives in a move he says will rectify a situation where Democrats used ‘knowingly false’ claims in a partisan attempt to destroy the president’s reputation.
If this could actually be done, it would be a matter of simple justice. The first impeachment was over a phone call Trump had with Volodymyr Zelensky in which the president spoke about Old Joe Biden’s shady dealings in Ukraine. Democrats trumpeted this as an illicit “quid pro quo” while doing their best to get you to forget that Biden’s Ukraine connections are indeed questionable, and that Old Joe himself engaged in behavior that was quite similar to what they falsely accused Trump of doing.
The second impeachment hinged on the bogus Jan. 6 “insurrection,” in which Trump was supposed to have tried to overthrow the government by sending some selfie-snapping grannies and a guy wearing Viking horns into the Capitol, as police held the doors open for them.
And so Issa has introduced H.Res.1211, which says that both of the impeachments of Trump should be officially “expunged as if such Article had never passed the full House of Representatives.” Issa explains: “The fact is that the Constitution doesn't spell out what to do when you've wrongfully indicted somebody. An impeachment is basically an indictment and it's an indictment that you can't really be acquitted from. Trump New Statement on Iran's Nuclear Material Is Going to Freak Them Out

President Donald Trump made an interesting comment about the Iranian regime's nuclear material on Sunday that's likely to make them very nervous.
Trump vowed to secure the nuclear material and warned the regime that America had them under watch, saying that was his top priority.
The nuclear material has been the main aim of the negotiations with the regime. We can go in and get the material, but it's a more involved, risky mission, and the U.S. has been trying to get it through negotiation. Thank You Jesus that President Trump and the administration (DOW) have been anticipating and are prepared for the Iranians to continue to misbehave with the nuclear stuff. There is no good reason why they should be threatening to re-start enriching uranium in order to build nuclear bombs . . . unless they want to use them and that is a non-negotiable full stop, in Jesus's name. We pray for this regime and especially the enforcers to collapse, in Jesus's name and we bless those who will step up and lead and guide Persia into righteousness. We bless the growing church there, Jesus, and we ask You to watch over them with protection and provision. May they grow in strength, wisdom and revelation so they know how to overcome in the Spirit and in the natural, in Jesus's name.

DOJ announces criminal charges against companies, employee involved in Baltimore bridge collapse
|

Federal prosecutors on Tuesday announced criminal charges against the two companies and a shoreside superintendent in connection to a cargo ship crashing into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore in March 2024, collapsing the structure.
Synergy Marine Pte Ltd., based in Singapore, and Synergy Maritime Pte Ltd, based in Chennai, India, that operated the ship that slammed into a bridge pylon were charged with conspiracy, willfully failing to immediately inform the U.S. Coast Guard of a known hazardous condition, obstruction of an agency proceeding and false statements.
On March 26, 2024, the Motor Vessel Dali, a 900-foot foreign flag container vessel, registered in Singapore, crashed into the bridge.
Six construction workers filling potholes on the bridge were killed in the accident.
“The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge was a preventable tragedy of enormous consequence," acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. (Just The News) Read more

Holy One, we pray that a "preventable tragedy" of this magnitude never happens again, in Jesus's name. We have mountains of safety regulations and guidelines to protect people, but it seems so often there are just a few that disregard the protection of citizens and cause great damage. We pray that these legal consequences will be adequate to cause others to think twice in the future so there are no further lives lost nor disruption to tens of thousands of people, in Jesus's name.
"Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all His praise? Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!"

1. IDF changes Gaza control map with Board of Peace approval - Israel Hayom
Six months after the deadline for Hamas to disarm passed, Israel is reshaping the campaign in the Gaza Strip. A senior Western diplomat confirmed that Israel has significantly expanded its hold on the Gaza Strip in recent weeks, and that the IDF now controls 64% of the territory. The new boundary line along which IDF forces have taken up positions, dubbed the "orange line," replaces the more limited "yellow line" and adds 34 square kilometers (13 square miles) to Israel's security zones, about 11% of the total area of the Gaza Strip.
The Western diplomat confirmed that the move was carried out with the knowledge and approval of the Board of Peace, after it became clear that Hamas had violated its commitments and failed to meet the timetable for disarming. "No one fell asleep at the wheel here," the Western official said. "Further steps will be taken as long as Hamas continues to violate the understandings."
On the ground, the shift to the "orange line" is not merely a diplomatic statement. Palestinian officials report intensive engineering work to flatten infrastructure along the route of the new line, a move that is significantly reducing the terrorist organization's area of control. Assessments indicate that this amounts to the entrenchment of a new security reality that will make the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip difficult as long as Hamas maintains sovereignty over the areas still under its control. 2. Weapons on drones, glycerin in aid trucks: Hamas prepares for war

Data collected by the IDF and presented to Israel's political echelon show that the volume of aid, 600 trucks a day, exceeds what is needed. Moreover, under the cover of the hundreds of trucks entering the Gaza Strip, dual-use materials, weapons and tobacco that serve Hamas' buildup are also being smuggled in.
An internal document recently sent by Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Maj. Gen. Yoram Halevi to the political echelon warns of the security and strategic consequences of continuing to allow 600 trucks of aid and goods into the Gaza Strip every day, a volume that, according to the document, is significantly higher than the actual humanitarian needs on the ground.
The document says Israel continues to allow aid to enter at the current scale mainly because of commitments made under the ceasefire deal. In practice, however, according to UN estimates and a study conducted by COGAT in cooperation with intelligence officials and international bodies, the Gaza Strip requires only about 250 aid trucks a day to meet basic humanitarian needs. 3. Qassem warns Israel: We will turn the battlefield into hell - Israel National News
Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem threatened that his organization would turn the battlefield into hell for Israel and said Hezbollah would continue confronting Israel and responding to what he described as aggression and violations.
“We will not leave the battlefield, and we will turn it into hell for Israel. We will respond to the aggression and violations, and we will not return [the reality] before March 2nd," Qassem declared, referring to the date when Hezbollah joined Iran's war against Israel.
Qassem also warned that Hezbollah is facing what he described as “an Israeli-American aggression that seeks to subjugate our country, Lebanon, so that it becomes part of Greater Israel." He added, “We will not submit, and we will not surrender, and we will continue to defend Lebanon and its people no matter how long it takes and no matter how great the sacrifices." (Read more)

4. IDF troops seize Litani River, cross into central Lebanon - World Israel News
Israeli troops crossed the Litani River during a covert operation in southern Lebanon, killing Hezbollah fighters and destroying underground infrastructure in one of the deepest ground raids of the current campaign, the IDF said Tuesday.
The operation was carried out over the past week by a Golani Brigade combat team under the command of the 36th Division.
Troops from the Egoz commando unit and the Golani Reconnaissance Unit operated near Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, about 10 kilometers from the Israeli border, during the raid.
The IDF said the raid was aimed at clearing the Litani sector and establishing operational control in an area used by Hezbollah for rocket and mortar launches, weapons storage, and underground movement. (Read more)

5. Israelis report receive recruitment, threatening text messages from Iran

Israeli citizens received recruitment and intimidation text messages from unknown numbers regarding contact with the Islamic Republic on Tuesday.
The Israel Police released a statement calling the messages “attempts by Iranian intelligence elements to recruit Israeli citizens in Israel and abroad.”
Messages included offers to buy videos of the Iran war, which could be used against Israel, as well as invitations to “build your future” through contacting Iranian embassies in various countries to work with Iranian intelligence. (Read more)

In the wake of the party’s failed Virginia redistricting gambit, Democrats and their allies in the media and academia have been floating radical proposals to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. In response to their defeat at the Virginia Supreme Court, the Democratic leaders have promised to remain defiant and have labeled the judicial decision “undemocratic” and discriminatory against minorities.
“Even after being aided and abetted by blatantly undemocratic court decisions, the failed GOP majority will not be able to gerrymander themselves back into power,” Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic Minority Leader, wrote in a letter to his caucus on Monday. “Republican extremists spent the last few days applauding their ongoing effort to rig the midterm elections based on two egregious judicial decisions dripping with far-right partisanship,” he also wrote. “We remain undeterred.”

Holy One, this is so convoluted and dirty, we pray for every court to compel the democrats to follow the law and accept the justice in Virginia and elsewhere, in Jesus's name. We rejoice to know that the Supreme Court has decided that drawing congressional lines according to race is unconstitutional and cannot be permitted to continue. We pray for electoral maps to be drawn with integrity and honor irrespective of the race / color of the people within the districts, in Jesus's name.

Senate Republicans are taking stock of their relationship with the House GOP as they gear up for another key test of their unity across chambers.
Dysfunction, miscommunications and wasted time have dotted the last few months of Republicans' control of Congress, particularly during the longest government shutdown on record.
Republicans in the upper chamber aren’t singling out others in the House who should bear responsibility, but they do agree that something needs to change as they plow forward to fund immigration operations for the next few years.

Father God, this is a significantly important matter to people who are engaged with politics. We see the two houses conflicting and we also see our own party engaging in hostilities with one another. While in part, that is necessary to maintain integrity, it has seemingly also become an impediment to our President's agenda for stymieing the deep state and advancing righteousness for which he has been given authority by voters and God to accomplish. We pray for a greater level of alignment within the House and Senate Republicans and Father, we also pray for elections to be mighty and powerful at breaking the gridlock within this party, in Jesus's holy name.

3. Trump administration rejects UN migration declaration, says 'mass migration was never safe' - Fox News
The U.S. State Department announced on Monday that it refused to back an International Migration Review Forum "progress" declaration, accusing the U.N. of efforts to "advocate and facilitate replacement immigration in the United States and across the broader West."
The U.S. did not participate in the second International Migration Review Forum, held May 5–8 at U.N. Headquarters in New York, and will not support the declaration, the department said in a statement on Monday.
The forum is the U.N.’s main global platform for member states to review implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, according to the U.N. Network on Migration. The 2026 forum was scheduled to produce an intergovernmentally agreed "Progress Declaration."
President Donald Trump ended U.S. participation in the U.N. process to develop the Global Compact for Migration during his first term in 2017, and now the State Department says the federal government will again affirm its opposition. (Read more)

4. Secretary Doug Burgum Backs BYOP: Data Centers Must ‘Bring Your Own Power’ to Curtail Economic Impact - Breitbart
Data centers must “bring your own power” to curtail the economic impact, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said during a Monday event with Breitbart News.
Addressing concerns about the economic impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) in terms of energy, Burgum acknowledged, “When you bring in AI, the rates go up because they use so much power.” However, he said he fully embraces BYOP – bring your own power.
Pointing to the Ratepayer Protection Pledge, Burgum said it is a fairly simple concept.
“If you’re one of the hyperscalers, and if you want to build out a data center, then you have to, like, you know, say BYOP. You’ve got to bring your own power,” the Interior Secretary said.
And in the instances they do not want to bring their own power, they have to at least be willing to allow themselves to be “curtailed.” (Read more)

Father, it is becoming clearer that AI is the culprit behind the massive impact on our power grid from data centers and 5G towers, along with very high demands from electric vehicles. We pray for measured control of this overwhelming effort towards technology that is outpacing our electrical supply system. For decades we have been told to "conserve energy", because our power grid is aging, vulnerable, fragile, and may collapse, so treat it with care. Now this admonition to compel data centers to provide their own power is a great idea in theory, but they are already up and running and making enormous demands on our power supplies in order to drive AI. We pray for it to cease until there is proper enforcement of "BYOP" with sufficient consequences if not followed, in Jesus's name.
"The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul." (Psalm 121:5-7)

5. GM slams brakes on electric trucks as reality crashes the EV party - The Blaze
For years, Americans have been told the future of driving is settled. Electric vehicles would take over, gas engines would fade away, and anyone questioning the timeline was “anti-progress.” That narrative just took a direct hit, and it came from General Motors.
GM isn’t tweaking its EV strategy. It’s hitting pause, hard.
After pouring billions into electrification, GM is now sitting on $7.6 billion in EV-related losses from 2025 alone, including a massive write-down tied to scrapped production plans and battery commitments. Abba, I get a mental picture of the days of wind-up powered cars when I think of charging the electrical vehicles (EVs). We pray for the car companies who are being stung by this agenda and ask that they are able to weather the turbulence and keep employees working, in Jesus's name. It is encouraging to see capitalism working through supply and demand by choosing tried and true vehicles with ever improving technology. We thank You Father that our brightest minds have worked to make gas-powered vehicles cleaner, more efficient and have reduced many toxic emissions, so we can steward our earth ever better, in Jesus's name.

6. Nigel Farage Routs Leftist Ruling Party in Local U.K. Elections - Washington Stand
In the United Kingdom, municipal and local elections are handing a major victory to the nation’s leading populist, anti-immigration party. Following district council elections Thursday, the reigning left-wing Labour Party has been soundly rejected by local voters, losing a staggering 1,045 council seats and control of 23 councils at the time of this writing. The increasingly unpopular Conservative Party also lost more than 460 council seats. The big winner of the election has been Reform U.K., led by Brexit engineer Nigel Farage, which picked up 1,196 new council seats and now has control over 10 district councils. Previously, Reform only held two council seats.
“What you can see already is there is an historic shift in British politics that is taking place,” Farage said of the election results in a video statement. “I think the best is yet to come. I’m looking forward … to us wiping out Labour in areas they’ve dominated for over a century,” the member of parliament (MP) for Clacton continued. “What we’re beginning to see is that politics is no longer about the old arguments of Right and Left; it’s about people who value patriotic ideas, believe in this country, and want to see things turn around.” (Read more)

Bless the Lord for this election shift in England. It seems this country has become an outpost for islamic migrant licentiousness and thus, the citizenry has chosen a new party and leaders to restore order in the districts and councils. We pray for strength for the new leadership as they assume power now. May they have the resources necessary along with the backbone to enforce laws and restore civility across the country, in Jesus's name.

The recent release of long-awaited UFO-related government documents has once again pulled the public imagination toward one of the most persistent and controversial questions of modern times: what exactly are unidentified anomalous phenomena, and how should they be interpreted?
The latest batch of files--released following a directive associated with President Donald Trump--includes historical State Department cables, FBI records, and NASA mission transcripts now made available through a newly launched Pentagon portal. Officials have framed the release as part of a broader push for transparency, encouraging the public to examine the material and draw their own conclusions.
Yet even as government agencies continue to emphasize caution and scientific restraint, the cultural conversation surrounding UFOs has taken a sharply different turn in some political and religious circles.
Among the most striking responses came from Rep. Lauren Boebert, who suggested that some of the phenomena described in these records may not be extraterrestrial at all--but spiritual in nature.
