Father God, Holy One, we are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of repentance, prayer, and worship that our nation released before Your Throne of Grace at this time of the Dedication 250 anniversary. Your presence among us has been so overwhelming! We REJOICE at the BREAKTHROUGH that has now taken place, so that light replaces darkness, and hope is restored for our future. We are truly ONE NATION UNDER GOD!

Lord God, let us now, together, "catch the wave of Glory" that has been released among us; and let us move forward together in the Spirit of Unity and the bond of peace. Thank You, Father, for this amazing gift, so freely given to us. May we continue to seize this moment and move forward in the anointing of this breakthrough of GLORY and of Your Presence in our nation. Praise God!

Trump invites Xi Jinping to visit Washington, DC

President Donald Trump matched Chinese President Xi Jinping's invitation to Beijing on Thursday, inviting the Chinese leader to visit the White House in September.

The U.S. president is halfway through a two-day bilateral summit with Xi, where the world's two most powerful men have spent hours behind closed doors discussing trade, the war in Iran, and existing American policies regarding Taiwan.

Xi hosted Trump at a state banquet Thursday evening, local time, where the president offered to host Xi in Washington.

“Thank you again, President Xi, for this beautiful welcome, and tonight, it is my honor to extend an invitation to you, Madam Peng, to visit us at the White House this September 24, and we look forward to it," Trump stated, before toasting the U.S.-Sino relationship. "And I'd now like to raise your glass and propose a toast to the rich and enduring ties between the American and Chinese people. It's a very special relationship, and I want to thank you again. This has been an amazing time."

Xi lauded Trump at the dinner, adding that both leaders "believe that the China-U.S. relationship is the most important bilateral relationship in the world."

"We must make it work and never mess it up," he added, according to the traveling press pool.(Washington Examiner; MSN.com) Read more here. [Published on Thursday, May 14, 2026]

Father God, we do thank You that You kept President Trump safe during his time in the nation of China. We leave the results of this visit in Your Hands, Lord God, for only You can
direct the thoughts of kings and those who are in authority among us. We praise You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, in Your name, amen and amen.

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." (I Timothy 2:1,2)

Senators agree to go without pay during shutdowns after historic closures left workers unpaid
The resolution won't kick in until after the upcoming November elections, meaning current shutdowns unaffected.

Senators will now go without pay during future shutdowns in a bid to instill the same pain on lawmakers that federal workers have felt several times in recent months.

The upper chamber unanimously passed a resolution to prevent senators from being paid in the event of a shutdown in a move that could thwart future closures by making the consequences real for lawmakers.

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., who pushed the measure, argued that preventing lawmakers from collecting a paycheck was a "shared sacrifice" after tens of thousands of federal employees went without pay during the two shutdowns that have happened since last year.

"Last October, we shut down the government for 43 days. That is the longest shutdown in history. And we had FBI agents, national park rangers, CDC scientists, our staff here in Congress — nobody was getting paid," Kennedy said on the Senate floor.

"And then, three months later, after we finally got out of that 43-day shutdown, we shut down the Department of Homeland Security. It was shut down for 76 days. This is all in one year," he continued. "We ought to hide our heads in a bag. It’s got to stop."

Both shutdowns led to real-world effects on Americans, particularly those traveling through the nation's airports, as Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers went without pay during both record-shattering closures. (Fox News) Read more here.

Lord God, we thank You for the humility that has been demonstrated by the Republican
senators in Congress. We ask that the Democrats would now follow their example, so that this stranglehold of income would now be broken by Your Mighty Hand. Amen and amen.

"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

Supreme Court deals blow to Virginia Democrats in fight over state court election map ruling
SCOTUS deals Dems a major setback by refusing to intervene after the state’s highest court invalidated a voter-approved redistricting overhaul

Virginia Democrats suffered a major legal defeat after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to intervene in a high-stakes redistricting dispute, leaving intact a Virginia Supreme Court ruling that invalidated a voter-approved congressional map overhaul.

The justices denied state Democrats’ emergency request to block the Virginia high court’s decision, which found the amendment process violated the state constitution because lawmakers advanced the proposal after early voting had already begun in the required intervening election cycle.

SCOTUS acted in a brief unsigned order and no justice publicly dissented.

The Virginia Supreme Court ruled May 8 in a 4-3 decision that the procedural defect "incurably taints the resulting referendum vote," effectively killing Democrats’ effort to redraw congressional districts ahead of the 2026 midterms. (Fox News) Read more

Holy One, this victory could only have come by Your Hand, so we give You the praise, the honor and the GLORY that the district maps of the State of Virginia are now aligned in truth and in justice. Praise You, O God!  Praise You!

"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."                (1 Corin. 15:57)

GOVT QUIETLY FUNDS ABORTION AGAIN
In April, President Trump released his proposed Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations bill with several pro-life provisions, including one that would partially defund Planned Parenthood. The Trump administration tried to withhold Title X funds in 2025, but was forced to release the money after losing a legal challenge. A new provision in the bill states that "none of the funds made available by this Act may be made available...to a prohibited entity.” “Prohibited entity” is defined as “affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, and clinics” that commit abortions, with limited exception. This would ultimately defund Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses, prohibiting them from receiving funding under the appropriations bill. This new provision under National Security and Department of State Appropriations would stop grant awards to nongovernmental organizations or international organizations if those organizations are found to be non-compliant with the Protecting Life in Foreign Assistance rule, published on January 27. FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Netanyahu on Iran: 'Our eyes are open' - Israel National News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today (Sunday) at the Start of a special Government Meeting in honor of Jerusalem Day, at the Knesset Museum in Froumine House.

In his opening remarks, the Prime Minister referred to the history of the building and said: "This is the second time I am visiting here since the restoration, the original home of the Knesset in Froumine House. I believe that anyone who comes here feels the uniqueness of this place, which essentially served as the home for the revival of our people's sovereignty in our land after thousands of years. It always makes the heart stir. I also remember as a Jerusalem boy, being right across the street and looking at this building; back then, it was closed to boys like me, but today it is open to all of the people of Israel. I invite all of you, the citizens of Israel, to come here and enjoy this heritage. A truly wonderful, highly original, highly authentic, and very faithful restoration job has been done here, and the atmosphere provides a great deal of inspiration."

Continuing his remarks, the Prime Minister sought to share in the grief of the family of an IDF soldier who fell in battles in the north: "At the beginning of my remarks, I wish to send condolences to the family of the late Captain Maoz Israel Recanati. Maoz left everything behind, including his fiancée whom he was set to marry in about a month, led his soldiers in battle in Lebanon, and fell. May G-d avenge him. May his memory be a blessing."

2. Hezbollah may return to political assassinations as control over Lebanon weakens, expert says
Jerusalem Post

Hezbollah may resort to assassinating political rivals in Lebanon as its grip on the country weakens, according to a Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC)-affiliated expert who spoke with The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.

In recent months, Hezbollah has faced growing restrictions on its power, including new legislation limiting its ability to legally possess weapons and conduct military activity, as well as Beirut’s participation in talks with Jerusalem in Washington. The measures were introduced after Hezbollah dragged Lebanon into another war by launching attacks following the February 28 assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to a recent ITIC assessment, Hezbollah is acutely aware of Beirut’s fears of a potential civil war and has repeatedly hinted at or directly threatened such a scenario. (Read more)

3. Jerusalem talks ceasefire, while northern Israel lives under sirens - Israel Hayom

Over the weekend, Washington once again issued a statement about extending the "ceasefire" with Lebanon by another 45 days. Once again, there were declarations, once again attempts to project a calmer reality. But anyone living in Kiryat Shmona, Metula and the communities along the confrontation line knows the simple truth: There is no ceasefire here.

The reality sounds completely different: echoes of explosions, helicopter fire, sirens, drone alerts and children who jump at every unusual noise. While some speak of "stability," northern Israel continue to live under a constant threat.

Stop lying to the residents of the north. There is no "ceasefire" when children are growing up amid sirens, drones and explosions. While life in central Israel goes on as usual, residents along the border are facing the longest-running threat in Israel's history, a threat that has lasted for decades. (Read more)

4. Israeli strike targets Hamas military leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad, ‘last architect of Oct. 7’ - Times of Israel

Israel said that it had targeted Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip and the head of the terror group’s military wing, in an airstrike in Gaza City on Friday. While there was no immediate confirmation that he was killed, news of the strike prompted a joyous response from several of the hostages he had personally held and many hailed the apparent death of the last of the major architects of the October 7, 2023, massacre.

The strike, which came amid a shaky ceasefire between Israel and the terror group, hit a residential building in Gaza City’s Rimal neighborhood. Footage from the scene showed a huge cloud of dust and smoke rising from the shattered, burning building.

Minutes after the airstrike, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz released a statement confirming that they had given the order to target Haddad, calling him the “commander of Hamas’s military wing and one of the principal architects of the October 7 massacre.” (Read more)

5. IDF reports shortage of 12,000 troops - Israel National News

The IDF announced Sunday evening that it is currently facing a shortage of approximately 12,000 soldiers, including between 6,000 and 7,500 combat troops, amid ongoing operational demands across multiple fronts.

According to military officials, the manpower gaps are expected to grow even larger if the planned reduction of mandatory military service to 30 months is implemented. Security officials warned that such a move could leave the army lacking thousands of additional combat soldiers, combat support personnel and technical staff.

The military said the operational burden created by fighting in seven different arenas has required regular servicemembers to operate continuously throughout the year, while reservists have been called on to complete dozens of extra reserve duty days beyond the original schedule. (Read more)

1. 173 House Democrats vote against resolution honoring police amid rising attacks - Fox News

House Democrats split over a resolution backing law enforcement as assaults on officers surged last year.

Just 29 House Democrats on Wednesday voted for a GOP-authored measure paying tribute to the "extraordinary sacrifice" law enforcement officers make and criticizing the defund the police movement for jeopardizing public safety.

Meanwhile, 173 Democrats voted with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., against the resolution, while every GOP lawmaker present supported it.

"We want to take that best practice of respecting law enforcement in Iowa to the nation's capital, and I was thrilled that we got bipartisan support," Rep. Zach Nunn, R-Iowa, who introduced the measure, said in an interview with Fox News Digital. (Read more here)

Holy Father,

It grieves our spirits to think that 173 House Democrats voted with House Minority Leader Hasheem Jeffries against the resolution that the GOP authored that paid tribute to the "extraordinary sacrifice" law enforcement officers make everyday. Father, we ask that You raise up a standard against them for this vote that puts officers' safety at risk. Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end as You weed out and  remove from office those who stand in the way of righteousness.

We pray for complete protection over our police officers and we thank you that Speaker Johnson paid tribute to the fallen officers

We humbly offer this prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.

"The wicked worketh a deceitful work; but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward." (Proverbs 11:18)

2.  Trump keeps secret Vance letter in Resolute Desk if crisis erupts, official reveals - Fox News

The revelation comes after an attempted assassination shooting just weeks ago near the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

President Donald Trump has instructions tucked away in the Oval Office for Vice President JD Vance should he ever need to succeed him as president, deputy assistant to the president Sebastian Gorka said in a recent podcast interview.

"There is a letter in the drawer in the Resolute Desk that is addressed to the vice president should something happen to him," Gorka said on the "Pod Force One" podcast on Wednesday.

Trump has faced repeated threats to his life, including an attempted assassination just weeks ago at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner drawing concerns about the president’s safety and growing political violence from left-wing actors.

Gorka cast doubts that foreign countries would attempt to take out the president as Trump attends a high-stakes summit in Beijing. (Read more)

Lord Jesus,

As we continue to pray for President Trump's protection, we thank you for a President who is a man of order and has prepared a letter for VP JD Vance with instructions as to what to do in case something should happen to him. We pray against the political left-wing actors and foreign regimes that are being fueled with hatred for President Trump and his cabinet and that every attempt of assasination would be uncovered and brought down! Thank you, Father that the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 is already in place.

Lord, we pray for angelic guards to be placed around President Trump and VP Vance to continue to protect them from all evil!

In the Mighty Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)

3. Tensions Between CIA and Congress Flare - The Daily Signal

Tensions have flared between Capitol Hill Republicans and the intelligence community after the Central Intelligence Agency harshly criticized a committee for subpoenaing an agent and denied reports of a cover-up of declassified material.

On Wednesday, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, chaired by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., heard the testimony of subpoenaed CIA whistleblower James Erdman III, who alleged the federal government suppressed inquiries into the origin of COVID-19.

CIA spokeswoman Liz Lyons spoke out against the hearing on X beforehand, accusing the committee of acting “in bad faith by subpoenaing an Agency officer for testimony today without notifying CIA, despite having already obtained closed-door testimony from the individual previously.”

She added, “The witness testifying today is not appearing as a whistleblower in pursuit of the truth, but instead in response to the subpoena issued by Chairman Paul. This proceeding amounts to nothing more than dishonest political theater masquerading as a congressional hearing. As the CIA has already assessed, COVID-19 most likely originated from a lab leak, and efforts to undermine that conclusion are disingenuous.”

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., who is generally an ally of the administration, slammed the CIA for Lyons’ statement in the hearing.

“I am calling on CIA director [John] Ratcliffe and this person to apologize to Chairman Paul and this committee,” Johnson said. “This is not political theater. I have years and years and years of built-up frustration of agencies like the CIA, Department of Justice, the FBI, [and] HHS, snubbing our oversight, giving us the big middle finger,” he added. (Read more)

Jehovah Shalom,

We pray for supernatural peace to rest upon Congress and all of our governmental agencies. Let truth come to light in all deception that allegedly took place in our federal government concerning the suppression of Covid so that it can finally be put behind us and any guilty parties be brought to justice. Father, break the power of division and deception that has taken root in our nation as we take the sword of the Spirit and cut the root of bitterness and deception into pieces and lay them at Your feet. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

"For nothing is secret that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hidden that shall not be made known and come to light." (Luke 8:17)

4. As Trump Meets with Xi, Outcry Grows to Confront CCP’s Forced Organ Harvesting Enterprise - The Washington Stand

With President Trump set to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday for a high stakes summit on issues like the Iran war, trade policies, and artificial intelligence, lawmakers and human rights advocates say that the American leader must address perhaps the most shocking and gruesome human rights violation uncovered in the 21st century: the communist regime’s ongoing clandestine organ transplant industry fueled by harvesting the organs of prisoners of conscience and religious minorities.

Experts like Jan Jekielek, a senior editor at The Epoch Times and author of The New York Times bestseller “Killed to Order: China’s Organ Harvesting Industry and the True Nature of America’s Biggest Adversary,” say that the true nature of the horror is “beyond what most people can imagine,” with a history rooted at the beginning of the Chinese Communist Party coming to power over 75 years ago.

In March 2020, an independent international tribunal released its findings cataloging extensive evidence verifying the existence of China’s covert organ harvesting operation. Since then, eyewitness accounts of doctors forced to carry out organ transplants on living prisoners have proliferated. “We have about 20 years [worth of] evidence,” Jekielek underscored. “[I]n 2000, there’s almost no organ industry in China. By 2005, there’s just about 150 hospitals doing transplantation. [It has now become] an estimated $9 billion annual industry.”  (Read more)

Father God, when President Trump stepped out of Air Force One last week in Beijing, he was greeted by a darling troupe of Chinese children, doing an orchestrated performance in great unity. The President honored those children, saying that they had touched his heart in a very special way.

But Father God, behind this darling tribute, performed by these precious children, lies another side of China that is ugly. And this practice of harvesting human organs must be revealed and dealt with. Help us, O Lord, to do the right thing for the Chinese people, so they can live safely in their own land. We ask this in Your name, amen and amen.

"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
(John 8:32)

5. Supreme Court allows mail delivery of abortion pill to continue - LifeSite

The Supreme Court allowed the mail distribution of a widely used abortion pill to continue for now, granting the emergency requests of two manufacturers of the drug in a setback for pro-lifers.

In a brief order on Thursday, the court indefinitely extended its block on a lower court ruling that halted a Biden-era policy allowing the abortion pill mifepristone to be prescribed and delivered by mail.

The order keeps the rule in effect while litigation continues, which could last into next year. Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented, according to the order, which was unsigned and did not explain the justices’ reasoning.

The Biden Food and Drug Administration (FDA) permanently ended the in-person dispensing requirement for mifepristone in 2023, as part of the administration’s “whole of government approach” to protect abortion after the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

The rule change has massively increased the use of the drug, hindering the effectiveness of pro-life laws and causing serious harm to women, according to data.

Abortionists and abortion drug networks have mailed tens of thousands of pills into pro-life states under the policy, often backed by “shield laws” in Democrat states that protect illegal abortion pill distributors from out-of-state law enforcement.

Around two-thirds of abortions in the U.S. – more than 600,000 per year – are estimated to be committed using pills.

Justice Thomas rebuked those arguments in his dissent, slamming the companies’ “criminal enterprise.” (Read more)

Oh Father God!  Our nation has sunk so deeply in sin! How can we not know that You came to bring us LIFE, and that more abundantly? Abortion is DEATH, and not Your will for any to pursue!  Help us, O Lord, through REPENTANCE to find our way back to You, the living God and the One who brings us JOY everlasting? We offer this prayer in Your Holy,Holy Name, amen and amen.

"Father forgive us, for we know not what we do." (Luke 23:34)
6. Xi Tells Trump That Mishandling of Taiwan Could Spark Conflict - Washington Stand

BEIJING (Reuters) - China's Xi Jinping told President Donald Trump that trade talks were making progress at the start of a two-day summit on Thursday, but cautioned that disagreement over Taiwan could send relations down a dangerous path and even lead to conflict.

Xi's remarks on Taiwan, the democratically governed island claimed by Beijing, came in a closed-door meeting of the leaders of the world's two largest economies that ran more than two hours, China's foreign ministry said.

They represented a stark - if not unprecedented - warning during a pomp-filled occasion that was otherwise friendly and relaxed, although the U.S. summary of the talks made no mention of Taiwan.

Instead it focused on the leaders' shared desire to reopen the key waterway of the Strait of Hormuz, effectively closed due to the Iran war, and Xi's apparent interest in buying American oil to reduce China's dependence on Middle East supplies. (Read more)

Lord God, the art of diplomacy is always a delicate matter. In this article, we take note of what was said, and of what was left out. We ask for protection for the free nation of Taiwan even in the midst of the negotiations that took place last week in Beijing. Thank you again, O Lord, for hearing our prayers. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.

"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
 (James 5:16)

A Hymn from our Past
"We Gather Together"
Verse 1:
We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.

Verse: 2
Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

Verse 3:
We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

Sara,

I am in Georgia (the nation) and Armenia this week and next. These are two ancient nations with a call as Watchmen.

This morning I have been thinking of America and this miraculous national call to acknowledge Shabbat and the rededication of America.

I know you are sensing a shift in your ministry.

I just sense the Lord say to you to take heart. Much of what the Lord is unfolding has to do with the prayers that you and your community have sewn into the nation. Be encouraged! What is unfolding has been plowed and sewn by you!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Ancient artifacts found beneath Cape Canaveral Space Force Station as one mystery still stumps researchers

Florida students are uncovering remnants of the past in a place many associate with the future: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

University of Central Florida students and faculty are currently excavating the DeSoto site at Cape Canaveral, along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

The site dates back to the Malabar II Period, which lasted from roughly 900 to 1565 A.D. It consists of black earth midden deposits — meaning it sits atop layers of ancient refuse.

Middens "contain the garbage that people left behind after undertaking their daily tasks," said Sarah "Stacy" Barber, an anthropology professor at the University of Central Florida.

Barber told Fox News Digital that "obtaining and preparing food" was an important daily activity for the people who lived there.

"They didn’t farm, although research by Neil Duncan has shown that at least some people in the region had access to ground corn, which was being farmed by the Indigenous people of North Florida," she said.

Instead of farming, Native Americans in the area largely relied on local resources, though some people in the region had access to imported foods such as corn and beans. (Fox News) Read More
