Iranian Christians using time of war to share the Gospel

While the war in Iran has brought significant hardships, it has also created openings for ministry for the country's underground Church, according to a prominant ministry leader who advocates for persecuted Christians worldwide. “The Lord works in mysterious ways,” Todd Nettleton, vice president of Voice of the Martyrs–USA (VOM), told The Christian Post in an interview. At the same time, with the Iranian government and the authorities there paying attention to the war, they're not paying as much attention to house churches. They're not paying as much attention to keeping Bibles out of the country or from being distributed within the country.”
VOM, an organization that supports persecuted Christians worldwide, partners with Iranian church networks, training field workers to proclaim the Gospel in regions hostile to Christians. The organization also distributes Bibles to believers facing persecution. Even though the current conflict has also made it harder for VOM staff to travel in and out of the region, Nettleton said the organization distributed several thousand Bibles in Iran after the conflict began earlier this year.
An underground fellowship in Iran that VOM has been in contact with was forced to flee its city as it came under attack, Nettleton said. The group of believers decided that if they had to leave, they should stay together, he added. “They turned it into a church camp,” the ministry leader explained. “They spent time out of town, studying God’s Word, worshiping together, encouraging each other, and really growing as a body of believers.” (Christian Post) Read More Here |

Voters Blame Media for Inspiring Assassination Attempt, Dividing Nation
|
|
Six in ten voters think it’s likely that negative news media coverage of President Donald Trump inspired the assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents Dinner on April 25, a new national Rasmussen survey finds.
Of U.S. likely voters polled April 27-29 following the attack, 60% think it’s at least “somewhat likely” that hostile media inspired the armed shooter’s attack – including 41% who call it “very likely.” In contrast, just 13% consider it “not at all likely.”

Fully 55% of Democrat voters say it’s likely that hostile media inspired the attack, with far more saying it’s “very likely” (28%) than calling it “somewhat” (17%) so.
More than three-fourths (79%) of Republican voters say media instigated the assassination attempt, including 58% who think it’s very likely media are to blame. Meanwhile, 59% of “other” voters attribute the attack to the influence of the media.
Hispanics are the most likely to say that the assassination attempt was inspired by negative media coverage of Trump, as 76% say it’s at least somewhat likely – and more than half (52%) think it’s “very likely.” Six in ten of both Whites and Blacks consider it at least somewhat likely. Mighty King Jesus, we pray for creative and divine strategies to either compel news media to strive for accuracy and neutrality in their reporting or to see them removed and replaced by reporting that is fair and unbiased. We have a deep tradition in this nation of settling down in front of the TV to watch "The Evening News with …" and drink in the perspective of whichever news anchor is speaking into us at the time. It is such a powerful weapon in the hands of those who want to control the masses. We call the nightly news to account for righteousness and to stop the slander, accusation and partiality, in Jesus's name.

WATCH: Secret Service shoots armed 'suspicious individual' near White House
|
|
The White House was briefly placed on lockdown Monday afternoon as the U.S. Secret Service shot a man who was armed with a gun near the complex as President Donald Trump was holding a Small Business Summit inside the building.
"U.S. Secret Service personnel are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting at 15th Street and Independence Avenue in Washington, D.C.," the agency announced on X.
"One individual was shot by law enforcement; their condition is currently unknown. Please avoid the area as emergency crews are responding."
He explained upon officers making contact with a suspicious individual, "that individual fled briefly on foot, withdrew a firearm and fired in the direction of our agents and officers. They returned fire and engaged. That individual was hit. He has since been transported to the hospital."
"We believe only one bystander was hit by the suspect. That individual is a juvenile, did not sustain any life-threatening injuries but he's also receiving treatment at the hospital."

Bless God, we praise You for keeping the Secret Service sharp-eyed and ready to protect our leaders immediately. We pray for the safety and security of President Trump, J.D. Vance and the entire executive branch. We trust that the agents are hearing all warnings about adversaries both in the natural and we pray also in the spiritual realm, so they may always act with discernment and respond quickly, in Jesus's name. We are sorry this little child was injured and pray that this little one and parents are healed quickly as well and we bind any type of trauma from touching any of them, in Jesus's name. We declare that everything about this suspicious character is revealed so that he may be held fully responsible for his actions, in Jesus's name. Alert: Rand Paul Warns Only a Few Days Remain to Charge Fauci Over 'Worst Cover-Up in Modern Medical History'

Sen. Rand Paul is once again raising the stakes in his long-running campaign for holding Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, accountable. This time, Paul said the clock is ticking because the statute of limitations for potential criminal charges will soon expire. In a post on Monday afternoon on X, Paul warned that the Justice Department has only days to act.
“The DOJ has ONE WEEK left to charge Anthony Fauci for the worst cover-up in modern medical history,” Paul wrote. “He lied to Congress about funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan,” Paul continued. “Millions died. Trillions were spent.”
The Kentucky Republican said he has renewed his push for a criminal case with only days left and complained that Fauci had gotten away with lockdown-era crime for too long.
In a letter cited by the office, Paul wrote that investigators had obtained records suggesting efforts to conceal information.
One February 2020 email cited in the statement described officials discussing how to “get ahead of the science and narrative” on COVID origins.

Holy King, this is such a powerful matter that we ask You to intervene and compel the DOJ to pursue justice against the crimes committed by this man against all of humanity, in Your holy name. We forgive him and set him in Your hands Father. We pray for manifold degrees of healing from the horrors that took place in 2020 (and before with HIV/AIDS) and the consequences of each which all point back to this individual who seems to have acted with malice and intent against the human race and worked hard to hide everything. We pray for a very public court trial examining every bit of evidence so that we may never permit such power and criminal behavior to occur in our nation and the world ever again, in Jesus's powerful name.

Supreme Court restores access to abortion pill mifepristone through telehealth, mail and pharmacies
|

The Supreme Court on Monday restored broad access to the abortion pill mifepristone, blocking a lower-court ruling that had threatened to upend one of the main ways abortions are provided across the nation.
The order signed by Justice Samuel Alito temporarily allows women seeking abortions to obtain the pill at pharmacies or through the mail, without an in-person visit to a doctor.
Those practices had been permitted for several years until a federal appeals court imposed new restrictions last week.
The latest order will remain in effect for another week while both sides respond and the high court considers the issue more fully.

1. Netanyahu holds top-level consultations as Israel readies for collapse of Iran truce - JNS
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held top-level security talks on Monday to prepare for the collapse of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States, officials told the Channel 12 News outlet on Tuesday.
Monday evening’s consultations with senior political and security officials deliberately excluded some Cabinet ministers to prevent leaks, according to the Hebrew outlet.
“We are aware of the possible implications of the American action, including renewed Iranian hostilities against Israel,” said one unnamed official, referencing U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Project Freedom” to ensure the free flow of commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu meets Board of Peace officials in Jerusalem - JNS
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday met with a Board of Peace delegation led by High Representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov, his office said.
The Prime Minister’s Office did not immediately provide a readout of the Jerusalem meeting, which was also attended by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, senior Trump administration official Aryeh Lightstone and Liran Tancman, an Israeli tech entrepreneur who is advising the Board of Peace on a volunteer basis, according to a picture distributed by the PMO.
Tony Blair, a founding member of the Board of Peace, told the U.N Security Council last week that the organization had made “substantial progress” in implementing U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza.
Blair pointed at the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) and the International Stabilization Force (ISF), which he said recently completed its “pre-deployment assessment mission,” as key milestones in implementing Trump’s 20-point peace plan that ended the fighting. 3. Trump's Iran decision could set Israel's election date - Israel Hayom
Sources in the political system who spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in recent days came away with the impression that he is leaning toward changing his decision to hold the election as scheduled on Oct. 27 and instead move it up to Sept. 1.
Accordingly, the Likud primaries would be held in early July. The reason for moving the election forward is the erosion of achievements in the security sphere, and the static posture of the military in the security zones in Lebanon and Gaza because of what could be called "Trump restrictions." In such a situation, Netanyahu understands that the more time passes, the more the ongoing reality on both borders is likely to be used against him by the opposing campaign.
But Netanyahu is also dependent, in this domestic political decision, on President Donald Trump. In light of recent reports, it appears that the US president is considering another blow against Iran, given the resilience the Iranian regime is showing in talks and its unwillingness to reach an understanding on the nuclear issue. 4. From Jordan to Judea and Samaria: Israel uncovers drone-based gun-smuggling network - World Israel News
Israeli security forces uncovered a major weapons smuggling network that used drones to move arms across the eastern border from Jordan to Judea and Samaria, Israeli authorities said Monday.
In a joint statement, the Shin Bet, IDF, and Israel Police said the investigation began several months ago after intelligence from the Shin Bet led IDF forces to identify a drone crossing from Jordan into Israeli territory in the areas of the 96th and 80th divisions.
The drone was intercepted while carrying several handguns, the agencies said.
Over the past several months, four Israeli citizens from the Negev and another suspect from Judea and Samaria were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the smuggling network. Two of the suspects were arrested during an attempted smuggling operation while carrying 10 Glock 17 pistols and 10 matching magazines. (Read more)

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the court at the opening of his testimony on Tuesday afternoon, describing the timing of the proceedings as “absurd" given the current security and diplomatic pressures he is facing.
Netanyahu outlined his packed schedule over the past 24 hours, which included extensive security and diplomatic activity.
“In the last 24 hours, I spoke with four heads of state-among them President Trump, and you can imagine about what," Netanyahu said at the start of his remarks. 1. Iran Fires Missiles, Drones at UAE in Ceasefire Violation as Trump Stresses Importance of Iran 'Mini-War' - CBN
The month-long U.S-Iranian ceasefire is on shaky ground after Iran attacked ships in the Strait of Hormuz and fired missiles at the United Arab Emirates.
"The (Iranian) cruise missiles were going after both U.S. Navy ships, but mostly after commercial shipping. We defended both ourselves, and consistent with our commitment, we defended all the commercial ships," Cooper stated.
The president posted on Truth Social, "We will guide their ships safely out of these restricted waterways so that they can freely and ably get on with their business."
Iran also fired missiles at the U.A.E. on Monday in the most blatant violation of the ceasefire to date. The U.A.E. Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attack, calling it "renewed Iranian aggression using missiles and drones," and charging that it targeted civilian sites, representing a dangerous escalation of the conflict. Holy One, we pray for this conflict to be brought to a full conclusion in the name of Jesus. We call out the new leaders of Persia and pray for them to be people of peace, chosen by You. We ask that they are being prepared to lead the nation well and that they have vast human resources standing with them in order to overwhelm the current fighters, in Jesus's name. We pray for the IRGC, et al people to relent, repent and be removed from their weapons in the name of Jesus and we pray for the citizens of this nation to not lose heart, but be strong and courageous in the face of this changing landscape. Mighty God, we ask that the good guys would get ahold of the drone and missile storage and firing sites in order to stop the hostilities, in Jesus's name. 3. Trump announces return to JFK-era policy that every president but Obama supported - The Blaze
Not everyone is a winner, and President Trump announced on Tuesday that he wants to put competition back at the forefront for American youth. To prove this, Trump is reviving a nearly 70-year-old policy that was phased out by President Barack Obama in his second term.
As part of an executive order signed last July that reinstated the Presidential Fitness Test, Trump announced at the White House that he would bring back the National Physical Fitness Award as well as the Presidential Fitness Award.
President-elect John F. Kennedy is credited with popularizing the fitness craze in the 1960s after writing an article titled "The Soft American" for Sports Illustrated.
In his writings, Kennedy cited research he had come across that spanned 15 years, comparing the physical fitness of American children versus the fitness of children in Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. Kennedy wrote that for six tests evaluating muscular strength and flexibility, over 57% of American children failed one or more, while less than 9% of the Europeans did. Read more

We thank You Abba, that RFK, Jr. has followed in his uncle's footsteps and has been working diligently to restore whole and healthy foods, protecting children's bodies from poisons and advocating for more movement and exercise for everyone. We pray for speedy implementation of exercise in the schools and homes for children to move and be competitive with one another and become stronger, in Jesus's name.

4. Democrat Activist Texas Judge Rules State Agency Must Greenlight 400-Acre Islamic City Near Dallas - Breaking Christian News
Travis County District Court Judge Amy Meachum, a Democrat, ruled on Tuesday that the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) must greenlight the construction of a 400-acre Muslim community near Dallas, Texas. (Image: Pexels)
The development, formerly marketed as EPIC City and now rebranded as The Meadow, will potentially be located in unincorporated areas of Collin and Hunt counties near the small town of Josephine, roughly 40 minutes northeast of Dallas.
The developers are planning to build more than 1,000 homes, apartment buildings, a K–12 Islamic school, a mosque, health clinics, retail stores, assisted living facilities, and other community amenities on the massive site. Read more

5. Ketanji Jackson's political agenda at Supreme Court triggers concern from senior justices - WND
Ketanji Jackson, a far-left extremist appointed to the Supreme Court by Joe Biden, displayed her legal acumen during her confirmation hearings when she denied that she had the ability to define "woman."
Constitutional expert Jonathan Turley, whose perspectives on the Constitution actually have been used by Congress, pointed out Jackson has developed "a radical and chilling jurisprudence. Her often sole dissents and accusatory rhetoric have drawn not just the ire of her conservative colleagues but her liberal colleagues."
Alito explained Jackson's agenda apparently was based on her political partiality in her insistence on "running out the clock" on behalf of those would "find it politically advantageous to have the election occur under the unconstitutional map."
"The dissent goes on to claim that our decision represents an unprincipled use of power. … That is a groundless and utterly irresponsible charge," Alito wrote. "What principle has the Court violated? The principle that Rule 45.3's 32-day default period should never be shortened even when there is good reason to do so? We bless Justice Alito and the others who are willing to stand with him against unbridled irresponsibility expressed against colleagues and the law. We pray for Justice Jackson to learn more about the enormous responsibility she carries as a Supreme Court representative of the Constitution of the United States of America. If she is unable or unwilling to learn justice, mature in understanding and adjudicate with honor and integrity, we pray that she will step aside, in Jesus's name.

6. Karen Bass: Palisades Fire Victim Spencer Pratt ‘Exploiting the Grief’ of Palisades Fire Victims - Breitbart
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass accused reality television star Spencer Pratt of “exploiting the grief” of Palisades fire victims as he seeks to oust her from office, completely ignoring that he was a victim of those fires.
Pratt, known for the TV series The Hills, received a helpful boost to his his mayoral campaign last week when billionaire Jeanie Buss, governor of the Los Angeles Lakers, donated the maximum amount to his campaign, elevating his potential chances. His popularity with aggrieved voters also accelerated when his first campaign ad — in which he criticizes Bass for living in a multi-million dollar home while Angelenos suffer — went viral with over 12 million views.

A recent report by Breitbart News highlighted sharp exchanges between House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, including language about “maximum warfare” in the political arena. That kind of phrasing may energize a base, yet it also raises a larger concern about how the phrases are taken by those with violent intent. Reports following another assassination attempt tied to events surrounding the White House Correspondents’ Dinner have only intensified this harsh rhetoric. Leadership carries responsibility, especially when their words can excite violence.
This moment did not appear overnight. Over the past several years, rhetoric aimed at Donald Trump and his supporters has often crossed from policy disagreement into personal hostility. Public figures, media personalities, and elected officials have used language that frames political opponents as existential threats. That framing changes how people process disagreement. A passenger aboard a cruise ship where three people have died is speaking out, describing fear and uncertainty as the vessel remains off the coast of Cape Verde and the cause of a suspected hantavirus outbreak remains under investigation.
"I am currently on board the m/v Hondius, and what’s happening right now is very real for all of us here," the passenger said. "We’re not just a story, we’re not just headlines — we’re people with families, with lives, with people waiting for us at home."
"There’s a lot of uncertainty, and that’s the hardest part. All we want right now is to feel safe, to have clarity and to get home," he added. "So if you’re seeing coverage about this, just remember that there are real people behind it and that this isn’t something happening somewhere far away. It’s happening to us right now."
The World Health Organization (WHO) said Sunday that one case of hantavirus infection has been laboratory confirmed, while five additional suspected cases are pending. Of the six people affected, three have died and one is currently in intensive care in South Africa.

Report: Somali Pirates Team Up with Houthi Terrorists to Attack Key Oil Trade Route

A report published this week suggests pirates from Somalia are once again threatening commercial shipping in the Red Sea, reportedly working with the Iran-backed Houthi insurgents of Yemen to menace a trillion-dollar flow of seaborne oil.
“Somali and Houthi-linked groups are teaming up — using skiffs and new tech to strike ships with coordination not seen in a decade — while Saudi crude rerouted from the Strait of Hormuz has created a target-rich environment for them,” RTCOM Defense CEO Ido Shalev told Fox News Digital.
“There is an opportunistic alignment, with the Houthis providing geopolitical cover and advanced GPS and surveillance, and Somali groups providing the boots on the ground or skiffs on the water,” he said.
Shalev said it was a return to the “Somali model” of piracy that grew prevalent in the 1990s after the collapse of Somalia’s central government. The Somalis had two thousand miles of coastline and a huge fleet of small fishing boats, which criminals quickly realized could be employed for swarming attacks against large commercial vessels as depicted in the 2013 film Captain Phillips.
The age of Somali piracy supposedly ended when the government in Mogadishu regained control over the coastline, but two new hijackings over the past ten days have revived the pirate menace, to the great embarrassment of the Somali government. (Breitbart)

Fragile 'underwater museum' of ancient shipwrecks discovered beneath busy sea corridor

Over 100 historic shipwrecks have been uncovered at a strategic maritime gateway — and researchers warn they may be at risk of fading away.
The vessels were found on the seafloor of the Bay of Gibraltar, part of the narrow waterway linking the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, by researchers with Project Herakles.
The project, a joint venture between Spain's University of Cádiz and the University of Granada, has been underway for six years.
Researchers have identified 150 underwater archaeological sites — the majority of which are shipwrecks, according to The Guardian.
The wrecks span centuries, from as early as the 5th century B.C. to World War II-era vessels.
The vessels include 23 Roman ships, four medieval ships, and the engine and propeller of a plane from the 1930s, according to The Guardian.
The findings were "not a chance discovery," said Felipe Cerezo Andreo, a lecturer in archaeology at the University of Cádiz — and the discovery took years in the making. (Fox News) Read More
