Van Zandt County Passes Resolution Denouncing Sharia
|
|
|
Van Zandt County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution Wednesday denouncing Sharia, making it the first Texas county to pass a resolution specifically addressing use of the Islamic religious code. Van Zandt County Precinct 2 Commissioner Cliff Williams said he brought the resolution forward because of an 80-acre land purchase in southern Van Zandt County by a family with ties to Muslim youth organizations.
The resolution was inspired by a draft resolution introduced by Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, that denounces Sharia in the United States. Self’s resolution has not been passed by Congress. While introducing the resolution, Williams explained how Sharia is practiced in various Muslim-majority countries.
“Sharia, as practiced by governments around the world, is more than a private devotion. It operates as a complete political and legal order,” he said. “Where states enforce it, the record speaks for itself. In Iran, women have been beaten in jail for uncovering their hair. In Pakistan, blasphemy laws have sent people to prison and stirred mobs against them on a single person’s accusation.”
Williams also discussed the treatment of women under some interpretations and applications of Sharia, saying a woman’s testimony is worth half that of a man’s, her inheritance is half that of her brothers, and her ability to work, marry or travel can depend on a male guardian. “It’s not American,” Williams said. “Compare that with what we hold as Americans and Texans. Every person stands equal before the law.” While denouncing Sharia, Williams made clear that the resolution was not a “statement against our Muslim believing neighbors, who worship freely in this country.” (Daily Signal) Read More Here

Father God, we celebrate the approved resolution denouncing Sharia in Van Zandt County, Texas! We pray Your continual protection upon our entire nation and all her citizens. May the draft resolution presented by Rep. Keith Self, opposing Sharia throughout the United States, be endorsed and quickly passed in Congress! We cry out for Christ's Blood-covering upon every state, especially 'sanctuary' states, so each may come into right alignment. May Americans across our nation recognize the urgency of threats against our nation and the need for constitutional order. We stand in unity and declare this nation stands as 'One Nation under God'. Come Abba and bring Your holy order to our Land! In Jesus Name- Amen.
"And keep the charge of the Lord your God; to walk in His ways, to keep his statutes, His commandments, His judgements, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn." (1 Kings 2:3)

Post-tropical Isaias still packs a dangerous punch as destructive winds, flooding threatens millions
|
|
Hurricane Isaias made landfall Friday as a dangerous Category 2 storm, lashing the northern Gulf Coast with destructive winds and life-threatening storm surge.
The powerful storm made landfall at 9:30 p.m. ET near Destin, Florida, with sustained winds of 105 mph.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said the storm became post-tropical early Saturday, meaning that it has lost its tropical characteristics and is no longer being fueled primarily by warm ocean water.
However, the storm's impacts are far from over.
Post-tropical Isaias is producing heavy rain across Alabama and Georgia, while a dangerous tornado threat remains across parts of the Florida Panhandle, Georgia and South Carolina.
Reports of building damage are coming in from parts of the Florida Panhandle, where residents reported destructive winds ripping the roof off a hotel in Pensacola.
The National Weather Service (NSW) said many areas experienced hurricane-force winds, with gusts reaching 116 mph at Santa Rosa Sound, Florida, 114 mph at Whiting Field and 102 mph in Pensacola.
Bellwood, Alabama, and Defuniak Springs, Florida, have seen more than a foot of rain from Hurricane Isaias as the storm's remnants fuel a dangerous flash flood threat across the region Saturday.
A Level 3 of 4 flood risk has been issued for Saturday across parts of northern Georgia and the Blue Ridge Mountains, including the Atlanta and Asheville, North Carolina, metro areas. (Fox News)

Trump says Putin has agreed to ‘immediately’ supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel fuel
|
|
President Donald Trump announced on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to “immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter.”
He added on Truth Social, “Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority.” (Fox News) Read more.

Lord, we bind every lie that the left will come up with over this deal, and ask that You protect President Trump and any fuel that is released by Putin. Our truckers and airlines desperately need the diesel. Even so, we pray that You will touch the Russian leader with the repentance from Your Holy Spirit.

Katie Zacharia offered role as White House Press Secretary
|
|
Katie Zacharia has been offered the role as the next White House Press Secretary, two White House officials confirmed to Fox News Digital Friday afternoon.
She currently serves as the senior communications advisor to Trump Media & Technology Group, which runs the president's social media website Truth Social. She is an attorney and frequent television commentator.
Zacharia briefly served as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after Tricia McLaughlin left her position as former Secretary Kristi Noem's press secretary.
It is not clear if she has accepted the role.
Zacharia, if she accepts, will succeed Karoline Leavitt, who left the role in late August following the birth of her second child in May.
Since Leavitt's departure there have been only two formal White House press briefings — one with Vice President JD Vance and one with Attorney General Todd Blanche. (Fox News) Read more here.

|
Thank You, Lord for a nominee for this position. We pray that if she is Your choice for the position, she will accept it and be blessed with Your favor and wisdom.

US Announces Sanctions on International Criminal Court
|
|
The State Department imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Friday, saying Washington “will ban transactions with this rogue court, cutting off their resources and crippling its ability to operate.”
“For decades, Republicans and Democrats alike rejected the idea that the International Criminal Court had the power to prosecute American citizens, military service members, or political leaders,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement.
“America never joined the court. We don’t need it. And we don’t want it.”
The United States has opposed ICC efforts to investigate or prosecute American military and intelligence officers for actions in Afghanistan or other previous operations.
Washington has consistently held that the ICC lacks jurisdiction over citizens of countries that have not ratified the Rome Statute.
“Either the ICC will end its threats, or we will end the ICC,” Rubio said in his statement.

1. Bennett suggests Netanyahu could be part of future government, sparking opposition ire - Times of Israel
Former prime minister and B’Yachad chair Naftali Bennett suggested today that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could be a part of a future government, and even serve as a minister, so long as he is willing to accept its “core tenets” — leading to backlash from other opposition chiefs.
In remarks which he later insisted were not serious, Bennett, speaking at an event organized by the religious Zionist newspaper, HaDor, said that if Netanyahu were to fully accept the policies laid out by the Zionist anti-Netanyahu bloc, he would have “no problem” bringing Likud into the fold.
“If he accepts our policy guidelines — including a state commission of inquiry [into the October 7 attack] — he’s welcome to give me a call,” Bennett said, to laughter from the audience. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu orders special task force to combat Jewish violence in Judea and Samaria - Israel Hayom
Israeli diplomatic missions abroad are issuing a steady stream of warnings about the enormous damage to Israel's international image caused by Jewish violence against Palestinians in Judea and Samaria. In one report, a senior diplomat said that "we've run out of explanations." Even community leaders and influential figures who are friendly toward Israel are demanding answers about what is happening, let alone journalists submitting requests for comment accompanied by photographs and video footage from the scene.
The problem is particularly acute in relations with the US administration, which is considered highly supportive of Israel but is increasingly unwilling to accept Jerusalem's explanations. One consequence has been Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive to National Security Council head Shmuel Ben Ezra to immediately establish a dedicated task force to coordinate the response to the problem. The very fact that Netanyahu issued the directive suggests he has received more than one appeal on the matter from the highest levels of the US administration.
Elsewhere in the government, however, there is little appetite for tackling the problem in the run-up to the elections. Activists on the ground are demanding that politicians leave them alone and focus their efforts exclusively on Arabs. This week, for example, Yiska Chaimov, sister of Shin Bet security agency Director David Zini and a candidate for the Noam party, called for the closure of the Shin Bet's Jewish Division during an interview with Kol Barama radio. 3. Israel approves Board of Peace team to disarm Hamas - Israel National News
Israel has approved the entry of an American company working on behalf of the Board of Peace into the Gaza Strip in the coming days to identify and map locations where Hamas members could surrender their weapons for destruction, according to a report published Sunday evening by Kan News. The initiative is intended to advance a key stage of US President Donald Trump's peace plan, which calls for Hamas to relinquish its weapons and for the Gaza Strip to be demilitarized.
According to the report, the American team is expected to begin its work in southern Gaza, focusing on Rafah and Khan Yunis, areas currently under Israeli control. Once inside the Strip, the team will conduct field surveys to identify locations where armed Palestinians could surrender their weapons.
One of the main issues under consideration is how to ensure the safe passage of armed Hamas members to the designated sites, potentially with some form of security provided by the IDF. However, the mechanism for surrendering weapons has not yet been finalized, and arrangements have not been established for allowing armed individuals to travel through Gaza without posing a threat to Israeli forces. The Israeli Air Force targeted Iranian-backed terrorist Yusuf Ali al-Hassoun in a strike along the Lebanon-Syria border on Friday, the military said.
Al-Hassoun operated under the direction of the regime in Tehran and advanced attacks against Israeli civilians as well as troops operating in southern Syria, the IDF said.
The military added that attacks planned by al-Hassoun and thwarted over the past year included attempts to launch explosive-laden drones and rockets at IDF troops.
“The IDF will continue to act to eliminate immediate threats on all fronts,” the military said, adding that it remains committed to the ceasefire agreement between Jerusalem and Beirut. (Read more)

1. Panama Struck by 7.6 Quake; Tsunami Warning Issued- The Epoch Times
A massive earthquake preliminarily measuring 7.6 magnitude struck about nine miles west of Pitaloza Arriba, Panama, just before 11 a.m. on Oct. 9, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
A tsunami threat warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the surrounding countries.
Mexico, Peru, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Nicaragua, Panama, and Guatemala are under a tsunami warning. The warning was not extended to the United States or Canada, the NWS said.
“Earthquakes of this size are known to generate tsunamis potentially dangerous to coasts outside the source region,” the National Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer, Alaska, stated in a warning at 11:05 a.m. “This earthquake has the potential to generate a destructive tsunami in the source region.” Read more

2. Long a target of conservatives, USAID has been dismantled by Team Trump even without Congress’ help - Just The News
Under President Donald Trump, Elon Musk's DOGE effort and the White House have accomplished what conservatives long dreamed to do but never achieved: substantially dismantling America's foreign aid agency.
The shrunken U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), while it hasn't been officially wiped out by Congress, will be difficult to revive under future administrations and will be "less attractive" for future bureaucrats, former USAID special government employee, Mike Benz told Just the News.
"Even if you turn the apparatus back on, there will be a slower ramp-up simply because I think the precarious nature of it, knowing it might be turned off again four years after that, makes a career at USAID inherently less attractive because of the political thin ice that it now sits on," said Benz, who aided the Trump administration in investigating the agency.
"There has been a kind of shock and awe message sent to the class of electioneers and subversive influence types, insofar as many of them had spent 10, 20, 30 years at USAID and had built their careers around that being a permanent position," he added. (Read more)

Lord, thank You for the dismantling of USAID, which has been corrupt for decades. Let any funds given to foreign nations be thoroughly freed of secret offshoots and politicians who might benefit from the money. We know that Your heart is to help others, but the methods used to siphon off those funds and give them to those who do not need them is evil.

3. 2 foreign nationals breach UK base housing key US, NATO intel hub amid $556M expansion- Fox
Two Latvian nationals legally living in the United Kingdom were arrested under Section 4 of Britain's National Security Act of 2023 Thursday after allegedly breaching a perimeter fence at RAF Molesworth, a sensitive British military base housing critical U.S. and NATO intelligence operations, Reuters reported.
The arrests triggered a major counterterrorism investigation into the security breach at the strategic installation, which serves as a central intelligence hub supporting American military commanders across Europe and Africa.
The base is also undergoing a $556.5 million expansion centered on the Joint Intelligence Analysis Complex (JIAC), a location designed to consolidate 20 intelligence facilities and accommodate more than 1,000 personnel, according to reports.

4. HHS creates new NIH clinic to study reported vaccine injuries- Just the News
The Department of Health and Human Services announced Thursday that it has launched a clinic dedicated to studying “patients experiencing health problems following vaccination," as it looks to gather better evidence about potential vaccine-related injuries.
The department said it launched a series of actions this week to better understand, identify, document, investigate and respond to health problems reported following vaccination, including requiring electronic health records to capture vaccine-related events.
“We must listen to patients and families who report vaccine injuries—not dismiss or gaslight them,” HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said in a statement. “President Trump and I are building a health system that takes them seriously, follows the evidence, and uses what we learn to make vaccines safer. This is how we earn back trust in our public health institutions.”
The clinic, which is located on the National Institutes of Health's Bethesda campus in Maryland, opened Monday and allows NIH clinicians and researchers to evaluate patients, study their experiences and investigate potential causes. (Read more)

5. DOJ Seeks To Indict Former White House Aide Over Claims She Lied About January 6 - Daily Wire
The Department of Justice is seeking a criminal indictment against Cassidy Hutchinson for allegedly lying to Congress, according to Punchbowl News. The former White House aide testified about President Donald Trump’s actions on January 6, 2021.
Federal prosecutors have presented evidence to a grand jury in Washington, D.C., as part of the investigation into her 2022 testimony. The investigation is being handled by the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, an unusual assignment for the case, which is centered on alleged false testimony. No indictment has been announced, and the precise statements prosecutors believe were false have not been publicly identified.
Hutchinson, a former aide to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, testified before the House committee investigating January 6 in June 2022. She alleged that Trump knew some supporters gathered for his speech on the Ellipse were armed and wanted security screening measures removed so they could proceed toward the Capitol.
Her most widely publicized claim concerned a confrontation inside Trump’s presidential vehicle after he finished speaking. Hutchinson testified that then-White House deputy chief of staff Anthony Ornato told her Trump became furious when Secret Service personnel refused to take him to the Capitol and attempted to grab the steering wheel before lunging toward the agent responsible for his security detail. 6. Saudi says three dead in airport attacks claimed by Houthis - AFP
Saudi authorities said Wednesday three people were killed in attacks on two of the kingdom's international airports, including in the capital Riyadh, after Yemen's Houthis claimed to have fired on both transport hubs.
The Iran-backed Houthis have claimed a wave of attacks on Saudi civilian infrastructure in recent weeks, which came as Riyadh-backed forces pressed a counter-offensive against the group's territorial gains.
Since Yemen's civil war reignited in July, more than 200,000 people have been displaced within the country, the United Nations said Wednesday.
The Houthis claimed an attack on Riyadh's main airport, while the Saudi-led coalition -- which backs Yemen's internationally recognised government in its fight against the group -- vowed retaliation.
The Houthis later claimed another attack on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport on Thursday and repeated a warning to airlines to avoid Saudi airspace.
"On Tuesday and Wednesday... Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport were subjected to attacks targeting their facilities," Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority said in a statement.
An Egyptian and an Algerian national were killed at Abha airport, while a Sudanese national was killed at Riyadh airport, the agency said.
The attacks wounded 36 people, it added.
In a subsequent statement, the coalition directly blamed Houthi fighters for the strikes and vowed a response.
"The brutal attacks by the Terrorist Houthi Militia on civilian and civilian objects in the Kingdom, most recently targeting (the two airports) will not go unpunished," it wrote on X.
The coalition said it had retaliated by striking 82 "legitimate military targets", including missile facilities, command centres, communications systems and Houthi gathering sites.

Blue States Are Redefining Religious Freedom To Stop Christians From Practicing Christianity
|
|
|
|
A dangerous theory is taking hold that religious freedom applies only to the right to worship.
Illinois’ assisted suicide law took effect in September. Cardinal Blase Cupich and Bishop Thomas Paprocki have both sued to keep the state from compelling Catholic hospitals and doctors to take part. A group of Muslim doctors similarly have sought protection from the state mandate. The state has yielded temporarily. In July, a federal judge shielded the Little Sisters of the Poor from New York’s version. The message from the state in each case is the same: you may care for the dying, but you must also be ready to help kill them.
The Supreme Court will hear oral argument on Nov. 3 in St. Mary Catholic Parish v. Roy. Colorado’s universal preschool program requires participating schools to agree to operate at odds with Catholic teaching on marriage and sexuality. Parishes in the archdiocese of Denver could not agree to state requirements, so the state shut them out of the preschool program paying $6,000 per eligible child, along with the families who wanted their children taught there. Colorado says it has no problem with the preschools being Catholic, it just doesn’t want them to operate as if they are.
Catholicism is just one example of a religion whose exercise does not end at the sanctuary door. Catholics pray at Mass and live that prayer in the works of mercy: feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, visiting the sick, burying the dead, and instructing the ignorant. Faith asks to be lived coherently, in belief and in service to one another. Jews, Muslims, and Protestants would recognize the pattern in their own traditions. No one is free if he must split himself into a Sunday self and a Monday self, and no community is free that must do the same.
The trouble is the left’s drive to secularize everything, and it does not stop at who gets access to the public square. It demands secularization of religion itself, and of religious people. The nuns may care for the elderly and infirm, but they should also be willing to assist in their suicide. The Catholic preschool may teach four-year-olds, but it must “get with the times” on sex and gender. Charity is welcome so long as religion is nowhere near it. That is not neutrality. It is hostility. (The Federalist) Read more here.

Fort Hood Terrorist’s Execution Will Be Public And Mirror His Deadly Attack
|
|
|
War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Thursday that Fort Hood terrorist Nidal Hasan’s December 3 execution by firing squad will be made public, saying, “We’ll make sure that people are able to watch it.”
Hegseth told “Human Events” host Jack Posobiec that he wanted to make sure people understood the serious consequences of Hasan’s attack, which killed 13 people in 2009.
Hegseth said the execution has been scheduled to mirror Hasan’s massacre, taking place at Fort Hood on a Thursday at 1 p.m. local time, matching the day of the week and time of the attack.
“An Army Major betrays his country, radical Islamist, kills a bunch of Americans at Fort Hood — of course we’re going to do it at Fort Hood. We’re going to do it on a Thursday, we’re going to do it at one o’clock, which is when he did it, and it’s going to be soldiers with rifles executing the firing squad,” he said, adding, “It hasn’t been since World War II since we’ve done that, and I kind of like the mentality that we had in World War II, which was WIN. Which was understand when the enemy attacks you, you stand your ground.” (Daily

China Nominates Communist Health Official to Lead World Health Organization
|
|
|
The Chinese government has nominated one of its own, former China National Health Commission director Dr. Song Li, to become the next director-general of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.).
Reuters reported the nomination on Thursday morning and Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning confirmed it at a press conference.
Mao said the nomination was part of China’s bid to gain more influence in multinational organizations like W.H.O. after the United States withdrew support – an action taken by President Donald Trump in July 2020, in part because he said China already had far too much sway over the U.N. health agency.
“China has total control over the World Health Organization despite only paying $40 million per year compared to what the United States has been paying, which is approximately $450 million a year,” Trump said when announcing the withdrawal.
The Biden administration retracted Trump’s decision to withdraw in January 2021, but Trump once again signed an executive order to pull out of W.H.O. when he returned to office in January 2025. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Father, we are ever grateful that the US has withdrawn from the WHO. The fact that this man connected to the Chinese Communist Party has been nominated for a position of such power is extremely concerning. The way China handled the Covid pandemic was extremely authoritarian even worse than the way it was handled here in the US. We ask that our nation never again submit itself to the tyranny of the World Health Organization.

Ha, who teaches religion at the school, has been placed on administrative leave and is “barred from campus while the criminal process moves forward,” Haverford College President Wendy Raymond said on Tuesday, according to a report by ABC News.
The professor is accused of sending around 50 messages to a victim “using at least four different X accounts,” between around October 9, 2025, and May 20, 2026, according to an indictment filed on September 30 in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania district court.
Several examples of Ha’s messages included in the indictment reportedly involve threatening, antisemitic language.
“I am deeply distressed by these allegations and want to state in the plainest of terms that any form of harassment or discrimination based on identity is unacceptable, antithetical to our values, and has no place at Haverford,” Raymond said.
“This disturbing news is made even more harmful for many given its proximity to both the Jewish High Holidays and the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks,” the Haverford president added. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Faithful Lord, we pray that You will cover Your people, both Jew and Gentile, with Your power and protection. Let us be under the shadow of Your wings, and in the place of refuge at all times. We pray for the heart of the Jewish victim, as well as the soul of the perpetrator.

Hasmonean Aqueduct That Fed the Temple Mount Uncovered in Southern Jerusalem

Construction of a new Jerusalem neighborhood has revealed a 300-meter stretch of the channel that carried water to the Temple Mount more than 2,000 years ago. Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) archaeologists exposed the section of Jerusalem’s Lower Aqueduct south of Kibbutz Ramat Rachel, on land slated for development by the Israel Land Authority. The ancient waterway will now serve as the main entrance to the neighborhood.
The aqueduct, attributed to the Hasmonean kings, was part of a water system that drew spring water from the Gush Etzion area in Judea, gathered it in Solomon’s Pools south of Bethlehem, and carried it north to the Temple.
“The Lower Aqueduct was an impressive engineering project, probably built in the time of the Hasmonean kings to supply water to Jerusalem,” said Dr. Benyamin Storchan and Gil Freid, the excavation directors on behalf of the IAA. “The system was so well planned that it remained in intermittent use until about 100 years ago. The aqueduct runs about 21 km from Solomon’s Pools, south of Bethlehem, to Jerusalem. Along most of the route, the water flowed along a very gentle gradient, dropping just one meter in elevation per kilometer.”
The system ran on gravity alone. Its engineers maintained that precise slope across the hill country, routing the channel around slopes and through bedrock, with cleanout points along the way to clear blockages.
The exposed section preserves several eras of use. The original builders laid a plastered stone channel. About 500 years ago, the Ottomans installed ceramic pipes inside it and coated the outer wall with plaster studded with small stones, a distinctive finish that runs along the aqueduct’s route.
“The aqueduct is an engineering marvel,” said Dr. Amit Re’em, Jerusalem District Archaeologist of the IAA. “The thought that about 2,000 years ago they managed to bring water to Jerusalem this way is astonishing.” Re’em said the IAA is working with the Jerusalem Municipality on a continuous park that would allow visitors to walk alongside the aqueduct from southern Jerusalem to the Old City. "Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
