Influence of MAHA, Pro-Life Movement Evident in Trump's IVF Move
President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced a new plan to lower the costs of in vitro fertilization to create "healthier pregnancies, healthier babies, and many more beautiful American children."  "Today, this announcement, we are realigning the industry towards the simple metric of more healthy babies at lower costs," said Dr. Heidi Overton, deputy assistant to the president at the Domestic Policy Council.

Trump announced the creation of a new benefit option for fertility benefits, under which employers will have a new legal pathway to offer fertility benefits directly to employees, like they do for dental and vision coverage, and life insurance. When Trump made a campaign promise to make in vitro fertilization accessible to all prospective parents, calling himself the "father of IVF," he sparked concerns from pro-lifers who say IVF relies on the destruction of embryos.

While Trump's announcement concerned many pro-lifers by making IVF cheaper and Sen. Katie Britt, R-AL, called this "the most pro-IVF thing" a president has done in history. Some pro-lifers are relieved that the plan includes coverage for root-cause treatments for infertility and that coverage of IVF remains voluntary for employers. "I welcome the Admin's commitment to making groundbreaking advancements in treating root causes of infertility more accessible & available," March for Life President Jennie Lichter wrote on the social media platform X. Members of the Make America Healthy Again and pro-life movements have lobbied the Trump administration to prioritize root-cause treatments as an alternative to IVF. (Daily Signal)  Read More Here
- Father God, we praise Your Name for the gift of LIFE and pray for families who have struggled with having children. We thank You for the 'Make American Healthy Again' initiative, that will aim in providing fertility benefits to struggling couples and also commit to healing root-causes of infertility. May physical issues causing lack of pregnancy be brought to light through this new focus, to help thousands of women across our nation experience the sacred gift of motherhood. We rejoice for this administration and MAHA bringing hope to child-less couples as we declare the Lord's mercy and favor of miraculous Life will be experienced, bringing worship, praise and holy honor to our Heavenly Father!! By the Blood and powerful Name of Jesus Christ we lift this prayer- Amen and Amen.

IDF says 2 soldiers killed, 3 wounded in Sunday morning's attack on troops in Gaza

Hours after announcing an attack on soldiers in southern Gaza that led to intense airstrikes in the Strip, the IDF says that two soldiers were killed and three were wounded in the attack by Palestinian terror operatives in Rafah this morning.

The slain soldiers are named as Maj. Yaniv Kula, 26, and Staff Sgt. Itay Yavetz, 21.

Both served in the Nahal Brigade’s 932nd Battalion and are from the central city of Modiin.

The incident took place at around 10:30 a.m. in southeastern Rafah, close to the Salah a-Din Road. The area, east of the so-called Yellow Line, is under IDF control as part of the ceasefire deal with Hamas.

According to an initial IDF probe, a cell of terror operatives emerged from a tunnel in the area and fired RPGs at an excavator, killing the two troops. At the same time, another excavator was hit by sniper fire, wounding two more troops, including one seriously.

A short while after that, another soldier was wounded by sniper fire, according to the army’s preliminary investigation. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

- We cover this whole region in the precious blood of Jesus that the leaders in Gaza, Israel, and the whole Middle East would yield to your voice and your Spirit rather than the spirit of the antichrist. We pray for your comfort to surround the hearts of those families who have lost these two IDF soldiers, who have sacrificed their lives to bring peace to Gaza. We ask for your will to be done in this conflict, in Jesus' name, amen.

- “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

Egypt said expected to lead UN-backed Gaza stabilization force; Azerbaijan to contribute

A multinational team meant to help secure the Gaza Strip following the end of Israel’s war with Hamas will likely be headed up by Egypt, according to a report Saturday, which came as the US continued its efforts to shore up support for the mission.

The International Stabilization Force (ISF) is part of US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza, and is intended to secure the Strip during a transitional postwar period, following Israel’s withdrawal and the disarmament of the Hamas terror group.

According to a report published by The Guardian on Saturday, the US and European powers are preparing a UN Security Council motion that would allow the stabilization force to act under a UN mandate without being considered a UN peacekeeping force — as Trump’s plan for the ISF does not envision it being a UN-led operation.

Citing unnamed diplomats, The Guardian reported that Egypt would likely lead the stabilization force, although Cairo has not issued any statements on the matter, having not yet publicly committed to contributing troops to the ISF.

The plans for the force, as detailed by The Guardian, were in line with former British prime minister Tony Blair’s plan for Gaza, revealed by The Times of Israel last month.

Blair’s plan envisions the establishment of the Gaza International Transitional Authority (GITA), which would serve as the “supreme political and legal authority for Gaza during the transitional period.”

GITA would have a board made up of seven to 10 members, the developed draft of the plan obtained by The Times of Israel stated, among whom would be a qualified Palestinian representative, a senior UN official, leading international figures with executive or financial experience, and a “strong representation of Muslim members” to boost regional legitimacy and cultural credibility.

Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza involves the establishment of a board, dubbed “the board of peace,” in accordance with Blair’s vision. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

- Lord we pray that the leaders of Egypt would keep their word regarding peace with Israel. We come against all manipulation and control that would try and prevent peace. We pray, Lord, that you would give President Trump wisdom and discernment to do what’s best for our nation and Israel, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Newsom Signs Bill Making Child Abduction from School Easier in California

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law earlier this month that could make child abduction from school easier by expanding the definition of a “caregiver” allowed to withdraw a child from school with an affidavit.

The law, AB 495, was passed in response to concerns that children could be separated from parents who are being deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) due to President Donald Trump’s energetic enforcement of immigration law. But critics warned that it has almost no safeguards against strangers trying to abduct children, other than threatening them with perjury if they lie on an affidavit provided to a school.

The official summary of the bill, the “Family Preparedness Plan Act of 2025,” says that it “would revise the definition of relative to expand the type of relative who is authorized to execute a caregiver’s authorization affidavit and grant them the same rights to authorize school-related medical care, as defined, for the minor that are given to guardians.” Given a medical excuse, almost any adult could sign an affidavit and withdraw a child from school.

The California Policy Center warned:

In response to enforcement of illegal immigration by the Trump Administration, this bill puts forward an affidavit process that could easily allow for increased kidnapping and human trafficking of our children. The guardrails for this bill are insufficient and the proposed law is riddled with logistical problems that don’t require authority figures to verify that a child is being surrendered to a legitimate adult in the case of a parent being detained, as is the case with designated emergency contacts, court sanctioned standby guardians or when Child Protective Services gets involved.  (Breitbart) Read more here.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Netanyahu defends war strategy, ceasefire deal in fiery Knesset address
- i24 News

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a defiant speech Monday at the opening of the Knesset’s winter session, vowing to continue the war against Hamas while defending the ceasefire agreement linked to the release of hostages.

Netanyahu credited Israel’s military pressure for forcing Hamas to accept the current deal, claiming that the Israel Defense Forces’ advance “into the heart of Gaza City, the last stronghold of Hamas,” brought the group to the negotiating table.

“If I had listened to those who called to stop the war,” he said, “Israel would have suffered a crushing defeat, and the entire country would have gone up in nuclear smoke.”

The prime minister accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire the previous day by killing Israeli soldiers in Rafah, prompting a massive Israeli response. “The IDF dropped 153 tons of explosives on dozens of targets,” Netanyahu said, warning that “the truce is not a license to threaten Israel.” (Read more)

2. Hamas violates Gaza truce again as Kushner and Witkoff arrive in Israel
- World Israel News

A cell of Hamas terrorists attempted to infiltrate into Israeli-controlled territory in northern Gaza on Monday, in another violation of the fragile ceasefire in the coastal enclave.

According to a statement released by the Israeli military, a group of terrorists was spotted crossing the Yellow Line, demarcating the ceasefire boundaries between areas in Gaza under IDF and Hamas control.

The terrorists approached IDF forces in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood of Gaza City, an army spokesperson said, “in a manner that posed an immediate threat to them.”

“The forces fired toward the terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line in order to remove the threat to the troops.”

A second attempted infiltration was later reported in the same area. (Read more)

3. Turks on the border: Erdogan gains foothold in Gaza under ceasefire plan's
Phase II
- Jerusalem Post

No one knows what is written in the Phase IIagreement between Israel, the US, and Qatar, but what is certain is that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has already claimed his first prize and already has a foothold in Gaza, as emerges from new images revealed Monday, which show engineering equipment bearing the Turkish flag inside the Gaza Strip.

Erdogan already warned a week ago that if Israel violates the ceasefire and returns to war, then it will pay a heavy price. While Iran and the Shi'ite axis may have been weakened and lost their grip, on the ground, the axis of the Muslim Brotherhood is indeed making its mark.

American envoy Steve Witkoff stated on CBS's 60 Minutes on Sunday that "estimates for the cost of rebuilding Gaza are around $50 billion," and noted that "we believe the funds will be raised quickly." (Read more)

4. Ben-Gvir gives government three weeks to advance death penalty for terrorists
- Israel National News

Otzma Yehudit Chairman and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir opened his party's faction meeting by calling for the immediate advancement of legislation for the death penalty for terrorists. He made clear that if the bill is not brought for a vote in the Knesset within three weeks, his faction would not remain committed to the coalition.

Ben-Gvir mentioned that the legislation was part of the coalition agreements between Otzma Yehudit and the Likud: "When the government was formed, the Otzma Yehudit faction, led by me, agreed with the Likud faction, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that during the current Knesset, the death penalty for terrorists would pass."

According to the Minister, despite the agreement, the Likud delayed the advancement of the legislation for months. Even after the war began, he said they used the claim of possibly harming the hostages to postpone the bill. (Read more

5. Satellite images reveal airbase being built near Houthi stronghold - Israel Hayom

Satellite images show a new runway being built on a volcanic island in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen, likely the latest project undertaken by allies of those opposing the Houthi rebels.

The runway on Zuqar Island adds another link in a growing network of naval and aerial bases in a key corridor for international shipping. The Houthis have already attacked more than 100 vessels in the area, sunk four ships, and killed at least nine sailors amid the ongoing war between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas.

Such a base would allow military forces to conduct aerial surveillance over the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which connects the two waterways between East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. (Read more

1. Trump preparing to reopen Alaska wildlife refuge for oil drilling - POLITICO

The administration previously announced it will scrap a rule issued under the previous administration protecting about 13 million acres in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, a large chunk of Interior-BLM-managed land west of the refuge. Lease sales in both the coastal plain and NPR-A are already in the planning stages and could take place as soon as this year, according to an Interior Department source.

Part of the largest wildlife refuge in North America, the coastal plain has been fought over since its creation as part of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act in in 1980. A carve-out in the legislation gave Congress the authority to allow drilling in this portion of the roughly 19-million-acre refuge that is home to a shrinking polar bear population protected under the Endangered Species Act, the Porcupine caribou herd and dozens of migratory bird species.

Trump is now seeking to dramatically expand oil and gas development across Alaska’s North Slope, which is believed to possess large untapped reserves. On his first day in office, Trump issued an executive order outlining efforts to “unleash Alaska’s extraordinary resource potential.” It called for rescinding the Biden era record of decision and reopening the entire coastal plain to drilling. The budget reconciliation bill passed in July mandates at least four lease sales in the coastal plain over the next 10 years. (Read more)

- We just pray that this plan will succeed in opening up drilling in this part of Alaska. Thank You, Lord, that President Trump believes in America first and in our country being self sufficient. Amen.

2. Bessent, Chinese vice premier to meet to try to defuse US tariff hike
- Reuters

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Friday he expects to meet next week with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng in Malaysia to try to forestall an escalation of U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods that President Donald Trump said was unsustainable.

Bessent made the announcement during a White House cabinet meeting and later confirmed plans for a meeting after a call with He on Friday evening. Bessent said on X the two officials "engaged in frank and detailed discussions regarding trade between the United States and China."

"We will meet in-person next week to continue our discussions," Bessent wrote. (Read more)

3. China: Communist Party expels top generals in military crackdown - BBC

The Chinese Communist Party has expelled nine top generals in one of its largest public crackdowns on the military in decades.

Nine men were suspected of serious financial crimes, a statement released by China's defence ministry said.

Most of them were three-star generals and part of the party's decision-making Central Committee. They have also been expelled from the military.

While the statement cast the expulsion as part of an anti-corruption drive, analysts say it could also be seen as a political purge. It comes on the eve of the party's plenum where the Central Committee will discuss the country's economic development plan and vote in new members. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray You reveal the plans of China and why they have expelled these Generals. Give us wisdom to understand  their maneuvers.

4.  Cabinet to vote on renaming the war to 'War of Rebirth' - Israel National News

Ministers will vote at the upcoming cabinet meeting, scheduled for Sunday and marking the first since the end of the war, on a proposal to rename the conflict from “Swords of Iron” to “War of Rebirth,” Ynet reported on Friday.

The report noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been promoting the new name for over a year. The official vote on the name change will now take place in the cabinet, based on his proposal in coordination with Defense Minister Israel Katz.

Netanyahu and Katz state that “Swords of Iron” was only a temporary designation. In recent months, the name “War of Rebirth,” though not officially adopted, has already appeared on official government websites.

The draft resolution states: “The war that began on October 7, 2023, initiated by a murderous assault from the Gaza Strip and developed into a conflict across seven fronts, and whose temporary name was ‘Swords of Iron,’ shall henceforth be called ‘War of Rebirth.’” (Read more)

- We pray that this vote by the cabinet will be unanimous in renaming
this war to the "war of rebirth."

5. Hamas refuses to commit to disarming, aims to keep grip on Gaza security - Jerusalem Post

Hamas intends to maintain security control in Gaza during an interim period, a senior Hamas official told Reuters, adding he could not commit to the group disarming - positions that reflect the difficulties facing US plans to secure an end to the war.

Hamas politburo member Mohammed Nazzal also said the group was ready for a ceasefire of up to five years to rebuild devastated Gaza, with guarantees for what happens afterwards depending on Palestinians being given "horizons and hope" for statehood.

Speaking to Reuters in an interview from Doha, where Hamas politicians have long resided, Nazzal defended the group's crackdown in Gaza, where it carried out public executions on Monday. There were always "exceptional measures" during war, and those executed were criminals guilty of killing, he said. (Read more)

- Lord, we continue to pray for peace In Gaza. We pray the ceasefire will hold and that Israel and Hamas will keep the terms of the ceasefire and that peace will reign.

- "He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)
6. Gazan ‘monster’ who took part in Oct. 7 attack caught ‘hiding’ in Louisiana, says Justice Department - JNS.org

Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub Al-Muhtadi, 33, a native of the Gaza Strip who has been living in Lafayette, La., was arrested on Thursday and charged with being involved in the Hamas-led terrorist attacks in southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.

“After hiding out in the United States, this monster has been found and charged with participating in the atrocities of Oct. 7, the single deadliest day for Jewish people since the Holocaust,” stated Pamela Bondi, the U.S. attorney general.

“While nothing can fully heal the scars left by Hamas’s brutal attack, this department’s Joint Task Force Oct. 7 is dedicated to finding and prosecuting those responsible for that horrific day, including the murder of dozens of American citizens,” she stated. “We will continue to stand by Jewish Americans and Jewish people around the world against antisemitism and terrorism in all its forms.”

Danny Danon, the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, told JNS that “this individual, who has blood on his hands, lied on his visa application to enter the United States.”

“I thank the U.S. authorities for apprehending this terrorist and making the United States a safer place,” he said. (Read more)

- Thank You that this evil man has been found, arrested and charged with being involved in the attack against Israel on October 7th, two years ago.

The Daily Jot

The Scroll Rewinds and Begins Anew

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 20, 2025

NOTE: Monday’s have been dedicating the Daily Jot to a commentary of the Torah portion from the week before and how it relates and is explained in the New Testament by Yeshua and the Apostles. If you would like to learn more about reading the Torah portions—reading through the first five books of the Bible—in a year, please go to www.ffoz.org Weekly Torah Portion.

For Christians, reading the first five books of the Bible (Torah) each year brings us new revelation of God’s plan and how we are to be his representatives on earth. God’s covenant, His character, and His redemptive plan guides us as fully realized in Yeshua (Jesus), whose mission fulfilled the Law and the Prophets. Last week marked a special moment in the biblical calendar as the annual Torah reading cycle both ends and begins. In his final moments, Moses blesses the tribes of Israel, then climbs Mount Nebo to view the Promised Land. The Torah closes with this tribute: “Since that time there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moshe, whom ADONAI knew face to face” (Deuteronomy 34:10). Then it starts again in Genesis.

The final portion, V’zot Haberakhah (This is the Blessing), found in Deuteronomy 33:1–34:12, is read on Simchat Torah, the last day of Sukkot. Then the scroll is rewound to B’reshit (Genesis 1:1–6:8) to start again. Genesis opens with: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The Hebrew text shows that God brought order out of chaos—tohu v’vohu (without form and void). Day by day, He spoke creation into existence. On day six, God declares, “Let us make humankind in our image,” using the word tzelem, meaning image or likeness. This speaks not of physical traits but divine purpose. As Michael Heiser explains in The Unseen Realm, “We were created to image God, to be His imagers… The image is not the ability we have, but the status. We are God’s representatives on earth.” Read More

Chip Roy says Democratic Party taking its 'dying breaths'
Republican Rep Chip Roy blasted the left's embrace of anti-Trump 'No Kings' rallies

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, tore into the Democratic Party during House GOP leaders' press conference on Day 20 of the government shutdown after anti-Trump protests swept the country over the weekend.

He blasted the left's embrace of the "No Kings" rallies, where millions of people across the U.S. took to city streets to protest President Donald Trump.

"This is the dying breaths of a bankrupt party, in my humble opinion, all too happy to shut down the government," Roy said during the press conference Monday.

He and House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris, R-Md., joined House GOP leaders' daily shutdown press conference in a show of unity across the Republican conference.

"No one disputes one obvious fact: It is Democrats who have chosen not to fund government. We can at least establish that truth, right? It is, in fact, the truth. And the question is, why?" Roy said.

"And you saw it on Saturday — it was basically for a political rally, a rally for cover for [Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.], who's in his own political battle in New York," he added in reference to Republican accusations that left-wing leaders are kowtowing to Democrats' progressive base.

He continued, "That's the truth. And the irony of this is, this ‘No Kings’ rally. What are we actually talking about? I mean, it wasn't President Trump, but Democrats who tried to make us take a shot or lose our job. It wasn't President Trump, but Democrats who were burning our cities to the ground in 2020 and attacking police officers."

Republican leaders spent last week hammering Democrats who planned to participate in Saturday's "No Kings" rallies, including Schumer.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., during his portion of the press conference, made a plea to Schumer to accept the GOP's federal funding bill now that the protests were over.

"Now that Democrats have had their protest and publicity stunts, I just pray that they come to their senses and end this shutdown and reopen the government this week. Republicans are waiting. The American people are waiting," Johnson said. (Fox News) Read more.

- Father God, we, too, agree with the words of Speaker Johnson: "(we) pray that they come to their senses and end this shutdown and reopen the government this week. Republicans are waiting. The American people are waiting." Scripture states
that there is a time for all things, Lord God. The time has come to reopen our government and to get our country moving again.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

US to expedite nuclear-powered subs to Australia that will sit near China’s doorstep
'We have them moving very, very quickly,' Trump told reporters Monday

The U.S. wants to fast-track outfitting Australia with nuclear submarines under the trilateral agreement between the U.S., Australia and the U.K. to beef up Australia’s submarine force aimed at countering Chinese influence in the Indo-Pacific.

In the agreement, known as AUKUS, the U.S. will sell up to five Virginia-class nuclear-powered submarines to Australia — slated for delivery as soon as 2032. Additionally, Australia and the U.K. will then coordinate to build additional attack submarines for Australia's fleet.

But President Donald Trump told reporters that he is eyeing a faster timeline, when asked if he was interested in speeding up the process.

"Well we are doing that, yeah … we have them moving very, very quickly," Trump told reporters Monday while meeting with Australia’s prime minister, Anthony Albanese, at the White House.

Even so, Trump also said that he didn’t believe that AUKUS was necessary to deter China as he touted his relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who he is expected to meet with in South Korea later in October.

"I don't think we're going to need it," Trump said about the trilateral agreement. "I think we'll be just fine with China. China doesn't want to do that. First of all, the United States is the strongest military power in the world by far. It's not even close, not even close. We have the best equipment. We have the best of everything, and nobody's going to mess with that. And I don't see that at all with President Xi." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, we thank You for President Trump. He is a man who does not flinch in the face of possible danger, but who instead will take immediate action to send a signal to our enemy that we are here . . . ready to act if needed. We thank You, too, for the strong alliance we have always enjoyed with the nation of Australia. May Your will be done in this matter, amen and amen.

- (Repeating) "There is a time for all things . . ." (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

Hundreds evacuated, homes destroyed as Alaska communities reel from devastating flooding
On Thursday, 264 people were evacuated by the Alaska National Guard.

In the aftermath of a destructive typhoon, historic floodwaters have destroyed remote communities across western Alaska, forcing hundreds of evacuations that could continue for days, officials said.

Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy toured the damage in Kipnuk and Kwigillingok on Friday, telling reporters, "Kipnuk's in bad shape. It’s a disaster area. Homes are tossed everywhere. It looks like a blast radius because of the surge and the wind."

He added, "There’s a handful of people still there, trying to get aspects of the village back together."

The devastating floods were fueled by remnants of Typhoon Halong, which originated in the northern Philippine Sea on Oct. 5.

The typhoon brought massive flooding to Alaska, sweeping across the west coast of the state on Monday and dumping more than 6 feet of water in some areas. Along with coastal flooding, wind gusts reached 50 to 100 mph in some of the 49 communities affected.

"This is still a very much fluid situation; we are still in the process of evacuating hundreds of people from the affected towns," Michelle Torres, the outreach branch chief for the state of Alaska, told ABC News on Thursday.

Remote, coastal towns have been hit the hardest by the floods. Hundreds of Alaskans have been evacuated by the Alaska National Guard, according to Jeremy Zidek from the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. (ABC News)
