Bible Sales Soar in Aftermath of Charlie Kirk's Assassination
|
|
Bible sales across the United States soared following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, adding to the surge of Americans returning to church. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, 2.4 million Bibles were sold across the country in September, a 36% increase from September 2024. Brenna Connor, an analyst at Circana BookScan, told the publication, “September brought a wave of troubling events—violence, geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty—underscoring a pattern: In times of crisis, more people turn to faith for comfort and support.”
Mark Schoenwald, president and chief executive of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, noted that Kirk’s assassination “awakened a lot of people.” Sentiments of an awakening were further expressed by Cornerstone Christian Bookstore owner James Borrero, who stated, “Ever since the Charlie Kirk shooting there has been an awakening, not only with Bibles but with all Christian-related items.” Bibles also saw an 11% increase in sales in the first nine months of 2025. White House dismisses 'fake outrage' over East Wing ballroom renovation: 'Unhinged'
|
|
The White House on Tuesday dismissed backlash over the first images of President Donald Trump's renovation of the East Wing, where construction began this week on a lavish, privately funded White House state ballroom.
"In the latest instance of manufactured outrage, unhinged leftists and their Fake News allies are clutching their pearls over President Donald J. Trump's visionary addition of a grand, privately funded ballroom to the White House — a bold, necessary addition that echoes the storied history of improvements and renovations from commanders-in-chief to keep the executive residence as a beacon of American excellence," the White House said in a statement.
A photo went viral Monday showing work crews demolishing portions of the East Wing's facade to make way for the ballroom construction, which was announced in August.
Describing it as "a much-needed and exquisite addition of approximately 90,000 total square feet of ornately designed and carefully crafted space, with a seated capacity of 650 people," the White House noted that the space will eliminate the need for a makeshift tent on the lawn that screens visitors to state events in the East Room, which has a capacity for only 200. Trump has since claimed the ballroom will seat 999.
"You probably hear the beautiful sound of construction to the back," Trump said during an event Tuesday in the Rose Garden. "That's music to my ears. I love that sound. Other people don't like it. I love it." (The Christian Post) Read more here.

- Abba, we give You praise and honor for the person You created Your son, Donald, to be. We give You praise that You are using him to reveal Your concern about everything that impacts him and the US as a people. Thank You for making the way for a new ballroom to be built without taxpayer money, the first time ever that the White House has been modernized funded totally by supporters. I ask that You speak to the hearts of those who are so very upset about this new ballroom being added to the White House, give them vision and wisdom to see Your heart of love that is providing the money to create something very beautiful for President Trump, our government and We the People. We ask this in the name Jehovah Jireh, The Lord Who Provides.
- "Mighty King, lover of justice, you have
established fairness. You have
acted with justice and righteousness
throughout Israel.
Exalt the Lord our God! Bow low before
his feet, for he is holy."

Calif. gov. signs bill promoting LGBT online community, potentially connecting kids with predators
|
|
|
'Every student deserves to feel safe, supported and seen,' says Gov. Newsom
|
|
Parental rights advocates are warning about a new California law that could expose LGBT-identified youth to online predators.
AB 727, signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Oct. 10 in honor of World Mental Health Day, mandates that student ID cards for public middle schools, high schools and colleges include contact information for The Trevor Project, an LGBT activist group and suicide prevention organization whose online platform, TrevorSpace, has raised alarms over inadequate age verification and moderation. While the bill aims to provide mental health support, opponents argue it could inadvertently put children at risk.
The legislation, authored by Assemblymember Mark González, D-Los Angeles, builds on California’s 2018 suicide prevention ID card law by adding The Trevor Project’s hotline number to student IDs. According to The Trevor Project, 35% of gay, lesbian and transgender-identified youth in California seriously considered suicide in the past year, and half of those seeking mental health care were unable to access it. The law seeks to ensure students have immediate access to crisis support.
“Every student deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen for who they are,” Newsom said. “While some in Washington turn their backs on [LGBT-identified] youth, California is choosing compassion over cruelty. AB 727 makes it clear: your identity doesn’t disqualify you from care and community — it’s exactly why we are fighting to make it easier to reach.”
Calling it a “lifeline for our queer youth,” González added, “When [President] Donald Trump and the federal government turn their backs on [LGBT-identified] youth, California steps up. With the signing of AB 727, we’re sending a clear message: our [LGBT-identified] youth are seen, valued, and never alone.”
Critics, including the California Family Council (CFC), law enforcement, and educators, argue that the platform’s lack of robust age verification and limited moderation creates risks for exploitation.
Brenda Lebsack, a Santa Ana Unified School District trustee, has warned that parents have called TrevorSpace a “pedophile’s paradise” after posing as a 13-year-old and gaining access to groups like “the Gay Men’s Club – Let’s Talk about Boys” and “The Witchcraft Club” without verification.
“I saw with my own eyes that Trevor Project is putting kids in harm’s way through TrevorSpace by connecting minors with unfettered random adults on an international virtual platform to explore their genders and sexualities, and this is dangerous for our most vulnerable kids who identify as [LGBT-identified],” Lebsack wrote in a recent Interfaith 4 Kids article. - Abba, the enemy is still at work trying to create as many 'open doors' to kill, steal and destroy us, our kids, our country, just as You said he would. We ask You to forgive Gov. Newsom for his blindness to the enemy's ploys to gain access to as many innocent and ignorant children, those who have never learned who the enemy is in their lives and what his tactics look like.
Jesus, we fall at Your feet and ask for Your mercy and intervention in this circumstance. We ask Holy Spirit to pour out vision and holy discomfort into the minds and hearts of all parents, teachers and government workers, let the scales fall from their eyes, show them the horror that the enemy intends, let them cry out and say NO to this law. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Host of Heaven's Armies, the God who has countless men and angels attentively waiting for Your command.
- "I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry."
(Psalm 40:1)

North Korea launches ballistic missiles days before Trump's visit to the peninsula
|
|
|
Short-range ballistic missile launches were North Korea's first in five months
|
|
|
North Korea test fired multiple short-range ballistic missiles on Wednesday, just days before President Donald Trump is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other leaders in South Korea.
South Korea’s military said the missiles, which were the first launched by its neighbor in five months, originated from an area south of Pyongyang and flew about 220 miles toward the northeast. The missiles did not land in the sea, the military added.
Trump is set to leave for Asia at the end of the week in what will be his first trip to the region during his second term. He plans to go to Malaysia first for a regional summit, and then head to Japan before traveling on to South Korea for an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting.
The president is expected to visit the South Korean city of Gyeongju ahead of the summit for bilateral meetings with leaders including Xi and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
South Korea’s military said Wednesday that it remains ready to repel any provocations by North Korea based on its alliance with the United States.
Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi also told reporters that Tokyo was closely communicating with Washington and Seoul, including by sharing real-time missile warning data. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, there is much war mongering going on around the world. World leaders are trying to establish their dominance within their own countries and on the stage of world politics. We ask that Your Voice be the one that establishes dominance in any circumstance. You are the God that created all that has been created and each of these leaders is but a puff of smoke without Your power in their lives.
Father God, we ask You to raise up the men and women that You intend to lead Your world, bring down those whose hearts have been hardened to You and to Your Kingdom, let revival draw all those You have called, put them in places of leadership in each and every country, let Your Kingdom come on earth as in heaven. We ask this in the name El Rohi, the Lord Our Shepherd.
- "Pray like this: Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon. May
your will be done on earth as
it is in heaven."

3. Hamas to Ramp Up Brutal Crackdown on Gazans as New Israeli Data Shows Terror Group Still Heavily Armed - Algemeiner
As new Israeli intelligence reveals that Hamas remains heavily armed despite severe losses during the two-year conflict in Gaza, the Palestinian terrorist group is intensifying its brutal crackdown on all opposition in the enclave.
Hamas still maintains a substantial stockpile of rockets and other weaponry, even after being severely weakened by Israel’s military campaign, according to information and estimates gathered by the Israeli defense establishment and shared with Hebrew media on Wednesday.
The newly released intelligence assessment, reported by Israel’s Channel 12 news, indicates that the Palestinian terrorist group is facing a major weapons shortfall, with over 60 percent of its military equipment lost, nearly half of its forces — including senior members — eliminated, and more than half of its above-ground infrastructure destroyed. 4. Likud ministers petition Herzog to pardon Netanyahu - JNS
Likud Cabinet and deputy ministers have signed a letter calling on Israeli President Isaac Herzog to pardon Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in connection to his ongoing criminal trial.
The letter, dated Oct. 19, was initiated by Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman, who posted it on X.
“Unfortunately, today it is already clear to everyone that as long as his trial is underway, which is like a bleeding wound in the body of Israeli society, there will be no unity in Israel,” the letter states.
The move comes in the wake of U.S. President Donald Trump’s call during his Oct. 13 Knesset address for Herzog to pardon the Israeli premier. (Read more)

1. Radical Pennsylvania Bills Could Allow Public Funding Of Abortion Up To Birth - The Federalist
The Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee votes on a package of six bills Wednesday that will make it possible for pregnant Pennsylvania women to kill their unborn babies up to birth. It will also turn Pennsylvania into an abortion tourism destination, allowing women from states with stronger pro-life rules to kill their babies in Pennsylvania with no legal entanglements.
Currently Pennsylvania bans abortion after 24 weeks (six months), though even then state law makes an exception “when the pregnancy poses a serious health risk or threatens the life” of the mother.
The main legislation is HB 1957, which aims to amend the Pennsylvania Constitution, making abortion a state constitutional right. HB 1957 would have to be approved by voters on a statewide ballot, and the committee hearing is the first step in that long process to amend the state constitution. (Read more here)

Father God, we lift up the state of Pennsylvania and its lawmakers who are making decisions that impact our children, families, and parental rights. In the name of Jesus, we ask that You break down every wall and bring believers together to stand against spiritual warfare and the spirit of confusion and murder affecting so many. Amen.

2. Pentagon clamps down on military interactions with Congress - Breaking Defense
Defense Department personnel will now have to coordinate all interactions with Congress through the Pentagon’s central legislative affairs office, according to a memo obtained by Breaking Defense — a change in policy that could further curb the flow of information streaming from the department to Capitol Hill.
In the Oct. 15 memo, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg direct Defense Department personnel — with the exception of the Pentagon’s inspector general office — to coordinate with the office of the assistant secretary of defense for legislative affairs for all engagements and communication with Congress and state elected officials.
“The Department of War (DoW) relies on a collaborative and close partnership with Congress to achieve our legislative goals. This requires coordination and alignment of Department messaging when engaging with Congress to ensure consistency and support for the Department’s priorities to re-establish deterrence, rebuild our military, and revive the warrior ethos,” Hegseth and Feinberg wrote in the memo, which uses a secondary name for the Defense Department. Lord God we pray for our members of Congress and the defense department job that lies before them. We ask that You give them the discerning wisdom that only You can provide, setting them on the right path and giving them clarity, courage, and commitment to justice. We pray for unity, allowing them to work alongside one another for the best interest of our nation. May they be people of integrity and honesty in the tasks they have been given to carry out. We lift each one to You, Lord, for Your divine protection in these turbulent days. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!

3. ADL reports ‘alarming’ rise in antisemitic attacks in New York City - World Israel News
Two years after the Hamas invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023, antisemitism levels continue to rise in New York City, the Anti-Defamation League warned on Wednesday, noting a pattern of increasingly “brazen and widespread” incidents targeting the city’s Jewish population.
The ADL issued an interim report on antisemitism in America’s most populous city, which is also home to the largest Jewish community outside of the State of Israel. The antisemitism watchdog group said that 2025 is on track to surpass 2024 in terms of antisemitic incidents in New York City, despite 2024 being a record-breaking year.
“The sheer scale and number of antisemitic activities in New York City this year is alarming,” said Scott Richman, the regional director for the ADL in New York and New Jersey.
“From violent attacks on visibly Jewish New Yorkers to threats targeting synagogues and dehumanizing rhetoric on campuses, antisemitism is no longer hiding in the shadows. It is out in the open, and it’s making Jewish New Yorkers feel unsafe in one of the most important centers of Jewish life in the world.” (Read more here)

|
Lord God, we pray for all of the Jewish people in New York City that they would see through these tactics and continue to stand strong on their conservative values and not align with agendas that could hurt their community. We break the powers of this violent and divisive spirit that it cannot work and operate anymore in Jesus name. We thank you Lord that your will would be done in New York and we ask for your help and guidance so this state can return to its greatness with new leadership in Jesus name amen.
“Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.” (Psalm 54:4)

4. Generation Z Is Leading a Spiritual Comeback - Million Voices
Across college campuses, legislatures, and media networks, something powerful is happening in America. What many are calling a revival seems to be sweeping through hearts and institutions that once appeared hardened. Faith, once dismissed as outdated, is finding new life among a generation hungry for truth, hope, and meaning.
At East Carolina University, that renewal is taking root in an unexpected place, a fraternity house. Students who once chased empty pleasures are gathering for prayer and worship. “There’s revival going,” one student told CBN. Testimonies of changed lives, public baptisms, and late-night prayer meetings are becoming common on campuses nationwide.
This movement is not confined to youth groups or Sunday services, it’s spreading into the public square. Pennsylvania legislators recently made headlines by declaring an official “Day of the Bible”, declaring, “We’re restoring the Bible.” It’s a message of renewal and restoration, one that signals that faith in God and reverence for Scripture are reclaiming their rightful place in America’s civic life. God, I thank you for youthful hearts. I thank you, Lord, for a yearning for Your holy word. Holy Spirit, continue to stir the hearts of the college students and youth across America. Thank you, Lord for the grace You have placed on this generation, to seek Your heart and search for something far beyond themselves.
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25)

5. Trump Moves to Cut IVF Costs, Raising Moral Concerns - Million Voices
Many people see in vitro fertilization (IVF) as a miracle of science. It allows couples struggling with infertility to finally have children. Recently, President Trump announced plans to make IVF more affordable by expanding insurance coverage and lowering drug costs. The White House fact sheet laid out a plan to expand access nationwide, calling it a step toward supporting families.
But not everyone sees this as simply good policy. Some in the pro-life movement say there’s a deep moral conflict at the heart of IVF. Among them is Lila Rose, founder of Live Action, who argues IVF “involves abuse of human embryos.” She and others contend that while IVF may help some couples conceive, it quietly devalues human life by discarding embryos that are not used. 6. $100 Billion Federal Contracting Scam- O’Keefe Media Group
An O’Keefe Media Group undercover investigation has exposed how federal contractor ATI Government Solutions exploits minority-preference programs to secure more than $100 million in no-bid government contracts while subcontracting out the vast majority of the work.
We went undercover and arranged meetings with multiple ATI employees, to dig deeper into the truth behind their native american ownership, their small business status, and their excessive use of subcontractors, and what we found was more damning than we were ever expecting.
She explained how ATI uses its tribal status to lock down multi-million dollar no-bid contracts, then passes off the majority of the work to subcontractors-firms that would never qualify on their own. Meanwhile, ATI keeps the lion’s share of the cash. Cromwell revealed to our undercover journalist. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Inside the Dishonest Scales of the Census
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 22, 2025
On October 6, Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) strongly urged Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to correct census errors before 2030 by republishing the 2020 numbers using raw data, disclose errors, and use methods that do not inflate one side’s power. His point is simple: counting noncitizens for apportionment lets states with the largest noncitizen populations gain House seats and Electoral College votes. That concentrates political power in a few deep blue jurisdictions where voter verification is fast and loose. And where identity is not cross-checked with registrations, voter fraud escalates. This is no coincidence that the census points to states with now voter ID requirements.
The Census Bureau’s Post Enumeration Survey found significant count errors in fourteen states. Overcounts: Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Utah. Undercounts: Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas. These errors shape congressional seats, statehouse lines, and the Electoral College. States with large noncitizen populations benefit when every person present is counted for apportionment. Banks warns that overcounts in blue strongholds and undercounts in red states compound the tilt across a decade. Banks also asks Commerce to drop experimental privacy distortions and make the 2030 methods transparent so the public can trust the map. Read More

NYC rabbis warn Democratic socialist mayoral candidate 'poses a danger' to Jewish New Yorkers

2 prominent Jewish rabbis take aim at Zohran Mamdani
|
|
|
With two weeks until Election Day, a prominent New York City rabbi is urging his congregants not to vote for Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani for mayor of New York City.
Mamdani is the presumed frontrunner in the race for Gracie Mansion with a substantial lead ahead of independent candidate former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa, both of whom have said Mamdani would not protect Jewish New Yorkers if elected in November.
"To be clear, unequivocal, and on the record, I believe Zohran Mamdani poses a danger to the security of the New York Jewish community," Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove of the Conservative Park Avenue Synagogue on Manhattan's Upper East Side told his congregation this weekend.
Days prior, Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch of Stephen Wise Free Synagogue accused Mamdani of "fanning the flames of intolerance" and urged the Democratic nominee to "reconsider your long-held views of Israel's right to exist." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, Yahweh, we praise You that these two men of God are standing up before this election, to warn their people, the Jews who live in New York City, of the danger of electing Mamdani as their mayor. We bless these rabbis for their courage,
their boldness, and the accuracy of their messages and we now ask that the Jewish population in New York City will take heed and vote (or not vote), accordingly. Praise the Lord!

Israeli lawmakers on Wednesday passed in preliminary reading two opposition bills to extend legal sovereignty to Judea and Samaria.
One bill, by Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Liberman, seeks to annex Ma’ale Adumim, a large city in the Judean Desert, while a second, by Noam Party head Avi Maoz, concerns all of Judea and Samaria.
The legislation will now be forwarded to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for consideration ahead of three additional votes. (JNS.org) Read more here.

Archaeologists make a stunning discovery hidden in the Arabian Desert—what they found could rewrite the history of the driest area on the planet
|
|
|
Ancient life-size carvings, hidden in the desert of Saudi Arabia, are forcing scientists to rethink how early humans lived in the world’s driest region.
One hundred feet above the surface of Saudi Arabia’s vast desert, archaeologists have uncovered an astonishing find—life-size carvings of animals etched into a cliff face thousands of years ago.
The figures, depicting camels and wild horses, are so intricately detailed that researchers say they’ve survived the erosion of time almost untouched. The discovery could transform our understanding of how early human communities thrived in one of Earth’s harshest environments.
62 rock panels, 176 carvings—and a mystery of human ingenuity
According to a new study published in Nature Communications, researchers documented three archaeological sites in the southern Nefud Desert containing 62 engraved rock panels and 176 carvings—130 of them life-sized.
What’s most surprising is where these artists chose to work: precarious cliff faces and hard-to-reach areas that would have demanded both physical skill and remarkable determination.
When the desert was alive
Using luminescence dating—a technique that measures when minerals were last exposed to sunlight—the team determined that this part of the desert once received water between 17,000 and 13,000 years ago. Read More
