Ministry provides time of prayer and hope for war-torn Israeli men
|
|
|
Israel (MNN) — War takes its toll on the men who fight it, but Jewish believers are stepping into the pain to offer a God of peace. Pastor Israel Pochtar says Beit Hallel Congregation came together with churches around Israel in a recent ministry event to build up men torn down by war. “It was so wonderful to see men breaking into small circles, praying for each other, sharing their hearts, asking for prayer, and taking time — like really taking time,” Pochtar says. “To see men with tears in their eyes, sharing their challenges, asking for prayer, then praying for others, was really beautiful to see.” Afterwards they would praise God and, as men love to do all around the world, they ate meat together. The fellowship continued all the way until it got dark, Pochtar says.
These ministries bringing men together is more important now than ever. Many of the people fighting are not career soldiers. Hundreds of thousands of those fighting for Israel were called up from the reserves. Pochtar says that men are struggling with fighting for months and then coming back home to normal life — wife, kids, and grocery store runs. The church encouraged men at the event to speak openly about the difficulties they face. “It’s humbling, but also it’s beautiful. Because this way they are setting themselves up to be able to receive help, to listen to others, and then also to minister to others,” Pochtar says. (Mission Network News) Read More Here |

Middle East on Brink of World War 3 Warns Iranian Lawmaker Among Escalating Tensions

While Iran has flirted with reconciliation with the US at times, it has also sought to position itself alongside countries that want a new world order.
Iranian lawmaker Kamran Ghazanfari said that the region is “practically on the brink of World War III.”
The report of his comments appeared in Iran International. Ghazanfari has been known for some outlandish claims. For instance, he claimed in the past that Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi was assassinated by Israel and its allies in 2024.
The Ghazanfari comments are interesting because they likely illustrate how some of Iran’s more extremist politicians and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) elites view the war. They see it as a regional and global conflict.
The Islamic Republic has worked with Russia and China and has hopes that it can challenge the US-led world order. Iran has long portrayed its Islamic Revolution as a unique event that would transform the region and the world.
This goes back to the fact that Iranian Islamists believed they were presenting a new path during the Cold War that was different from those of the American and Soviet blocs. That changed in the 1990s when the Soviet Union declined. (Jerusalem Post) Read more

Israel Closes Britain's Jerusalem Consulate Amid Slate of Diplomatic Countermeasures Against UK Sanctions

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced a series of harsh diplomatic moves against the United Kingdom on Tuesday in response to Great Britain announcing trade sanctions as part of a “ comprehensive reset” of policy towards Israel by the Labour government.
“A boycott of goods from Judea and Samaria is a despicable practice that harms hard-working, law-abiding citizens. The Labour Government has decided to employ this practice of boycotts and BDS only against the Jewish state,” Sa’ar said.
Israel will close the British Consulate in Jerusalem, remove British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center in Kiryat Gat, terminate the UK's training of Palestinian Authority forces in Judea and Samaria (West Bank), and ban 12 elected representatives and other British nationals involved in antisemitic and anti-Israel activity.
“The message to every government that harms us is clear: whoever acts against Israel, Israel will act against them, and they will lose their influence and relevance in the region. Measures against Israel will not go unanswered,” Sa’ar pledged. (All Israel News) |

1. IDF: Strike on north Gaza building targeted terror operative, was carried out after warning - Times of Israel
The Israeli military says a terror operative was killed in an airstrike on a building in the northern Gaza Strip overnight, after Palestinian media said that four members of a family, including two children, were killed in the attack.
According to the IDF, the building near the Yellow Line in the Beit Lahia area had been used in the past by terror operatives.
Before carrying out the strike overnight, the IDF says that it issued a warning “to allow civilians to evacuate the structure.” (Read more)

3. Israel Says It Destroyed Hezbollah Underground Complex at Lebanon’s Ali Al-Taher - Algemeiner
The Israeli military destroyed Hezbollah underground
infrastructure at the Ali al–Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Thursday, adding that the operation completed the consolidation of a security zone in the area.
Israeli forces would remain in the area to prevent the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group from re-establishing its presence and rebuilding its capabilities, the two officials said in a joint statement.
The Ali al–Taher ridge, about 15 km (10 miles) from the Israeli border, has become one of the most contested areas of the war between Israel and Hezbollah. Hezbollah is believed to have built an underground command center and weapons stores there, according to Lebanese security sources who spoke to Reuters in July. (Read more)

Attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, President of Shurat HaDin, warned that attempts to pursue IDF soldiers through legal proceedings abroad are escalating, as pro-Palestinian organizations monitor soldiers and veterans and seek their arrest in foreign countries.
Speaking to Arutz Sheva-Israel National News, Darshan-Leitner described the threat facing IDF soldiers, reservists, and veterans traveling overseas and outlined Shurat HaDin's efforts to provide them with legal assistance.
"There is an escalating threat against IDF soldiers being launched by pro-Palestinian organizations that are chasing IDF soldiers around the world, monitor them on social media, and once they enter a foreign country, they rush to this country, which has universal jurisdiction, and file arrest warrants against these IDF soldiers," she said. 5. Thais take to streets in rare protest against Israel: ‘not for sale’

Hundreds of Thais, led by a veteran political activist, rallied outside the Israeli Embassy in Bangkok on Thursday in a rare public protest against a group of foreign nationals.
The protest follows months of complaints about illegal landholding, disrespect towards local culture and proliferation of religious houses for Israelis, echoing those made by some locals in the Philippines and Sri Lanka.
Israelis have been flocking to Thailand since the war on Gaza that followed the October 7 Hamas assault on their country. Many are service personnel from the Israel Defence Forces seeking respite from a war that has killed over 70,000 Palestinians and left around 2 million more stranded on the strip without food and water.
In a country with hair-trigger sensitivities over sovereignty, allegations that swathes of prime Thai land have been sold illegally to Israelis have raised uproar. Disputes between Thais and Israelis – mainly on the islands of Phangan and Samui and the mountain retreat of Pai – over non-payment of bills, public misbehaviour and pro-Palestine flags at some Thai businesses have gone viral, adding to the tensions. 1. Supreme Court again blocks Missouri from using Trump-backed congressional maps - Fox News
The Supreme Court turned back another effort to use Missouri congressional maps supported by President Donald Trump.
"The application for stay presented to Justice [Brett] Kavanaugh and by him referred to the Court is granted," Thursday's ruling read.
The court's brief order was unsigned and gave no explanation, as is common when the justices handle emergency matters. No justice publicly dissented from the decision.
While the Missouri Supreme Court’s ruling paved the way for use of the old maps, the state’s Aug. 4 primary was already held under the new maps.
The court’s decision came after U.S. District Judge Stephen Clark ordered Missouri to use the new map, conflicting with a unanimous ruling by the Missouri Supreme Court that said the districts had not legally taken effect and that the state’s older map should be used unless voters approve the changes.
The Missouri Supreme Court also ordered Republican Secretary of State Denny Hoskins to appear at a contempt hearing Thursday after he instructed local election officials to use the new districts. A federal judge declined to halt that hearing before the Supreme Court issued its order. (Read more)

Our president is doing the best he can to make the way straight for us to enjoy an honest election this fall, while the courts seem to be set upon reversing everything back to their original pattern. We pray for wisdom and revelation for all judges to understand God's plan for this nation and for our legislative districts.

3. US CENTCOM destroys 5 Iranian oil tankers over attacks on US naval warships – AllIsraelNews
Military says it will target Iranian vessels for every attack on US ships
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) destroyed five Iranian crude oil tankers overnight, after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a U.S. Navy warship with ballistic missiles twice over the past two days.
According to CENTCOM, the U.S. ship evaded Iran's attacks on both occasions, with no injuries to any of the American sailors.
However, in response to those IRGC attacks, the U.S. military struck five Iranian tankers after first contacting the ships and instructing the crew to abandon the vessels.
The strikes were part of the new U.S. policy announced by CENTCOM commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, on Saturday.
“Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost – taking out three of yours,” Cooper said on Saturday. “We will not hesitate to defend American forces, and if necessary, destroy Iran’s limited and exposed oil fleet.”
Following the strikes, the IRGC warned crews aboard oil tankers in neighboring Kuwait and Bahrain to immediately leave their vessels. Read more

4. Team Trump Freezes Green-Card Pipeline at Major Tech Firms in Biggest America First Crackdown – Discern Report
In this Revolver News article, staff writers report that the Trump Labor Department has frozen PERM green-card sponsorship filings at major tech firms Cognizant and Cloudera in what they call the administration’s biggest America First crackdown on foreign-worker pipelines.
- PERM requires employers seeking to sponsor foreign workers for permanent U.S. jobs to first make a genuine effort to recruit qualified Americans; the article says companies can game the process by making it hard for Americans to apply.
- Labor Department Inspector General Anthony D’Esposito announced Cognizant’s PERM filings are suspended, said his office is “on the hunt” with the White House fraud task force, and added, “Handcuffs await.”
- Cognizant is a global IT and outsourcing giant with hundreds of thousands of employees; Cloudera is a major data and AI software firm used by large corporations.
- The Justice Department earlier sued Cloudera for allegedly discriminating against U.S. workers while sponsoring temporary foreign workers for permanent roles, calling PERM a forbidden “backdoor” for that purpose. Read more

5. Paxton calls Talarico 'most radical Democrat in Texas history' at GOP's midterm convention - Christian Post
DALLAS — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton rallied supporters at the GOP's midterm convention on Wednesday, where he praised President Donald Trump, outlined tax relief proposals aimed at working families, and sharply criticized his opponent as a radical threat to the state and the country.
In his remarks at the heavily barricaded American Airlines Center, the 63-year-old Paxton opened by welcoming convention attendees to Texas and praising Trump for repeatedly overcoming efforts by “the press, the courts and others” to undermine him. He said Trump has secured victories for America that no other president could and “always stood up for Texas.”
Paxton then turned to his Democratic rival, state Rep. James Talarico, labeling him a democratic socialist and “the most radical Democrat in Texas history.” Paxton also highlighted controversial comments made by Talarico, a Presbyterian seminarian, about the Christian faith.
“He calls himself a Christian who hates Christianity. Said God is non-binary. I must have missed that verse in the Bible,” said Paxton. “And of course, he claimed there were six genders, which is absolutely crazy.”
After accusing Talarico of supporting higher taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security and plans to transition Texas away from oil and gas, Paxton said, “How about we transition him and this crazy idea right out of Texas?” (Read more)

JERUSALEM — Leaders with the National Association of Christian Lawmakers (NACL) concluded an eight-day delegation to Israel’s north on September 5, meeting with mayors, Druze leaders, farmers, bereaved families, and residents rebuilding communities battered by Hezbollah attacks. The trip, titled “Gateway to the Galilee,” was hosted by the Galilee Development Authority (GDA) from August 29 through September 5 and included NACL leadership alongside state lawmakers from across the United States. The 2021 Pfizer Report, the Fauci Files and What They Hid from America

Comparing the safety analysis Pfizer prepared for full FDA approval in April 2021 with Anthony Fauci’s newly released communications now show senior health officials knew there were significant health risks of the COVID mRNA shot. In March 2021, The Daily Jot obtained a confidential copy of Pfizer’s report from an anonymous source and held it about a month while verifying its authenticity before reporting it. By February 2021, Pfizer already had received 42,086 case reports containing 158,893 adverse events involving cardiovascular, neurological and blood conditions, anaphylaxis, pregnancy losses and lack of efficacy. Pfizer nevertheless repeatedly concluded its reviews raised no new safety concerns.
Fauci’s own communications show that he knew significant safety concerns were being discussed and that officials were privately debating the uncertainties. Pfizer’s report already listed myocarditis, pericarditis, thrombosis and a sweeping range of cardiovascular, neurological, immune and inflammatory conditions as adverse events of special interest, possible side effects serious enough to warrant further investigation. FDA acknowledged that more serious adverse reactions requiring longer follow-up might emerge. Pregnancy was one example where there was insufficient data. Fauci acknowledged a theoretical miscarriage association. Yet the Biden Administration, government, Pfizer and the corporate news media continued the “safe and effective” narrative despite considerable evidence to the contrary. Read More

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., crossed party lines Tuesday by appearing in a video shown at the Republican National Committee’s midterm convention.
“Yes, I’m a Democrat,” he said. “Why am I here talking to you today? Because, well, I’m a commonsense Democrat. I’m always going to stand with America. I’m always going to reject the extremes, socialism, and the anti-American way of life,” he said.
Fetterman said he will work with President Donald Trump “to defend the steel way of life, right here in the Steel Valley.”
Fetterman then endorsed fellow Pennsylvania Sen. Dave McCormick, a Republican seeking reelection this cycle. “Dave McCormick is the kind of senator that gets the job done, and he’s going to fight for Pennsylvania,” Fetterman said. “I’m proud to count him as my friend.” (Daily Signal) Read more here.

Abba, thank You for the ideas You have put into President Trump's mind to rally all Republicans and give them a BIG reason to vote! Father God, we ask You to honor his efforts to get out the vote for the upcoming midterm election, send Holy Spirit out with His angel armies to silence the voice of the enemy, let Your truth flood the minds and hearts of all who will be voting. We ask You to reveal the lies being spoken by the enemy, show everyone what the enemies concepts result in from the human perspective, let them see the bondage and persecution impacting their lives. Congress Must Keep America From Turning Into Europe

In 1973, French author Jean Raspail published “The Camp of the Saints,” a dystopian novel imagining a bleak future where massive waves of migrants from the Third World overwhelmed France and Western Europe. In 2026, it is hard to deny that his story has leapt from the page to reality.
Today, European cities like London look more like Pakistan than England, and Paris is infamous for its Islamist-infested banlieues where the police fear to tread.
Republicans have frequently sounded the alarm over the fundamental transformation mass migration has wrought across Europe. On the heels of more than 70,000 illegal migrants flooding into the Spanish exclave of Ceuta, President Donald Trump warned that if Republicans lose power, America could face something “worse, on a much bigger scale.”
Vice President JD Vance agreed, posting on social media: “These images out of Spain are an unfortunate reminder of the consequences of mass migration and radical left-wing globalist policies that have enabled the Invasion of the West.”
My colleague Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., warned, “Ceuta isn’t just Europe’s problem, it’s America’s warning,” while Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., called Ceuta a “preview” of the potential disaster facing the United States if Democrats regain power.

Father God, we do ask that You would move upon the hearts of our own people to see the danger that is at the door, lest we end up in the situation that the European nations have fallen into. Holy One, the writing is on the wall! May we move now, while there is yet time, to shore up our borders against the onslaught of Islam at the gate, and to raise up a wall of protection for our nation. Father God, we thank You for Dai Sup Han and his leadership in welcoming all of these national prayer leaders to quiet our hearts and to bow in repentance on this 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took place in New York City, Washington, D.C. and in Pennsylvania on that tragic day. We continue to stand alongside those who grieve today, Father God, asking that You would comfort those who mourn, in only the way You can do. We ask that You visit their hearts, bringing the "peace that passes all understanding" unto each one. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, in Jesus' name, amen and amen!

A Generation Is Learning About 9/11 Without Learning Why It Happened

Twenty-five years ago, Americans watched in horror as hijacked passenger jets struck the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, while courageous passengers fought back aboard United Flight 93. Nearly 3,000 innocent people were murdered in a single morning.
America understood immediately that this was not a random act of violence. It was a carefully planned attack by Al-Qaeda, carried out by Islamist extremists who believed the United States was not merely a political rival but a civilization that deserved to be brought down.
For a brief moment, there was moral clarity. Today, the memorials remain, the names are still read and the phrase “Never Forget” continues to appear every September. But America is forgetting—not only what happened, but why it happened.
Remembering The Attack, Forgetting The Ideology
The debate over whether New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani should attend the 25th-anniversary ceremony at Ground Zero has exposed just how fractured the country’s understanding of 9/11 has become. Some victims’ families and former New York leaders have urged him to stay away, while Mamdani has said he will attend to honor the dead and the first responders.
But the larger issue is not who stands at the ceremony. It is whether America still possesses the courage to identify the ideology that sent 19 hijackers into those airplanes.
The United States declared a “war on terror,” but terror is a tactic, not an enemy. The enemy was a global Islamist movement committed to imposing its religious and political order, destroying Israel and weakening the West.
